Panel removed by crew. In-flight entertainment system: Persistent intermittent loss of sound while listening to movie or TV program. Food: Tried to use "Book the Cook" feature touted by Singapore's website. Was unable to get on site for that purpose. The last try a message appeared (late September) that site was being "rebuilt." On the flight, there was no menu of choices; we were offered 3 vaguely worded choices which boiled down to beef, chicken or vegetables. Those appeared in not particularly appetizing forms and combinations--P.S., we like east and southeast Asian cooking and had just spent 3 weeks in Japan. Failure to provide information about possible delays due to WRG deplaning location at LAX: Although we are frequent fliers to and from LAX, we'd never heard of the WRG. It would have been helpful if the crew had informed us upon arrival that there could possibly be a wait on the plane as buses were used to transport us approximately 1/2 mile to TBIT. Generally: We chose Singapore because of its reputation for excellence. Belying the name of the class, both Turkish AL and Air NZ treated Premium Economy passengers as "junior" business class. Nadelen: "Hello- The system for online checking was down (I think) it took a lot of time to check in. By the time we got to passport control, there was a huge line and an hour and half was left before take off. Anyways we joined the line. Half way through, 45 min before flight (flight was eventually delayed for an hour I think but we did not know that at the time) we realized that we were definetly going to get late and were looking for any Emirates person (whilst in line) who could guide us. Eventually someone did came and told a group (some way ahead of us) that people flying to Lahore and Karachi can go to another office for passport control (we ran to that office). I believe instead of sending 1 person to a line of say 300+ people to fetch for people for Lahore and Karachi can devise a contingent plan for these kind of situations. Maybe use a hand held digital board asking passengers with Flight no:XXX to head to a place so and so. Maybe megaphone can be used. Instead of passenger anxiously trying to get to 1 person whilst keeping in line to get some important information. In flight I used the button twice to call a crew member for some juice and water. But nobody came. But that might be understandable as there was a lot going on some 1 hour after dinner I think and is not a big problem. Don't know what kind of coordination they have with Dubai airport staff, seemed least bothered."

Rather plane designers being pushed to maximize seats over all else."

Voordelen: "So, as mentioned, this was our first time flying Emirates and from our flights from Maryland to Dubai to Philippines has been pleasant, the only issue we've had was with the security process and an incident that my wife encountered in Dubai when we were in the process of boarding to go to Washington Dulles. We landed in Dubai and we were in transit to our connecting flight. We went to our assigned gate and had to check in with security prior to waiting in our gate or boarding the plane. We checked in our electronic devices and my wife was asked to be checked. There wasn't anything wrong up until that moment. My wife cooperated with all the requests of the security agent. They asked her to go inside a security room/enclosed area and the first thing that the security agent asked my wife was why she wasn't wearing her wedding band. It was obvious that she was married because she had a tan line of the marks of wearing a ring. It was her travel ring and she removed it because it was too tight and she explained that to the agent. The agent then made the comment "so you got fat on this trip?". My wife was confused on what she said and asked her "what did you say?". The agent then repeated ..."So you're fat... that's why the wedding ring doesn't fit?" My wife was furious but maintained her cool because she didn't want to give a reason for her to be held from getting on the flight. I didn't see the situation take place and I don't know if there was anything that triggered her comment. My wife felt humiliated. I don't know the agent's name but I wanted to address the incident. Our experience with Emirates has been very pleasant but having to feel helpless after someone with authority to make that comment was humiliating and ruined the rest of her time on the flight as well as mine."

Yes of course I understand and wouldn't want to move a handicap person to get to my seat but at the same time I believe the seat assignment fee which I paid in advance should be refunded."

Nadelen: "I lost TV signal a few times and therefore wasn't able to watch the games I was interested in. But I understand this is beyond your control at times but the whole system would benefit from an upgrade. The touch screen sometimes takes a while to respond so making the process a little tedious."
Voordelen: "On time. As comfortable as coach can be. Crew was friendly and helpful. The bag checkthrough/transfer from flydubai to emirates worked fine."
Nadelen: "Cabin temperature could have been warmer. The seat backtouch screens are aging a bit. They don't track well on the edges of the screen."

When I went to the counter, despite being the one holding all the documents (and having organized the whole travel itinerary, the staff only spoke to my husband (Whi hadn’t a clue about the journey) in Japanese. They proceeded to check us in on their computer and insisted that we use their paperwork, not mine. What a farce. What a waste of paper and my time."
Nadelen: "The crew service very lack"
Voordelen: "Boeing 777 had an upgrade on the video display software, making for a more manageable video experience. It's easier to navigate because of the ability to close screens and go back to the screen you were on, rather than having to start over each time."
Nadelen: "I received a polite e-mail and a text message an hour or two later indicating that my flight from Taipei to HongKong had been delayed. It took a login to the Cathay Pacific web site to figure out that with the rescheduled time, I would miss my connecting flight from HongKong to Boston if I didn't change anything. I managed to sort it out, though it took using my cell phone to place an international call to the HongKong Cathay Pacific office to get me on an earlier flight. I don't think this is an acceptable level of service -- had I not had WiFi access or an international capable cell phone, I would have been stranded in Taipei or HongKong an extra day. I think CP could have done more to notify and help remediate the situation knowing the implication of the rescheduled flight. Food also remains mediocre, though slightly better."
Voordelen: "Comfortable Economy class on A330. Adequate seating and a good breakfast pastry for a short duration flight."
Nadelen: "Older entertainment system but not a big issue on a short flight."
Voordelen: "The crew and entire ground staff very courteous. Good entertainment choices. Crew tried their best to make a good experience."
Nadelen: "Decent 777 planes, but felt dated and very cramped. Food was disgusting and limited options."

Voordelen: "The flight staff was very curteous and helpful, that made a difference with the trip."
Nadelen: "The touch screen technology on the onflight entertainment was pretty bad. The movies played fine with no issue but navigating through the entertainment console was a pain since the touch screen responsiveness was so bad."
Voordelen: "Overalll the flight was okay and the company crew is very helpful!"
Nadelen: "The only problem is if you need to go in the first flight at 6am to Hong-Kong.... they will only open the check in at 4:30 and usually you find a big waiting line. You won’t have time to do anything stead check in, go directly to inspection, after to migration to finally go straight ahead to the gate to hopefully have time to enter in the flight... to tide"
Voordelen: "I flew from NY to Phuket via Cathay Pacific which is a 22 hr flight! The crew was pleasant and friendly and took excellent care of my family and I. I would fly with them again anytime."
Nadelen: "My only complaint, if I have to make any suggestions would be more leg room."

Voordelen: "Arrived 40 minutes ahead of scheduled arrival time. Food and drinks on board were above expectation compared to other airlines like KLM, China Southern. Cathay delivered a smooth and great service throughout this trip as per usual."

Nadelen: "In Canton (Guangzhou) aangekomen was er een zeer lamé wachttijd bij de douane van ongeveer anderhalve uur voordat ik aan de beurt was. Dit heeft verder niets met Cathay te maken maar wel met de vluchthaven."

Nadelen: "We had 1.5 hour delay and when we reached Vancouver airport the car rentals were close and we have to wait 3 more hour till 5:30 Am till they open. We are not happy at all"
Voordelen: "The friendliness of the crew, noticed I woke up and served me breakfast with only 45 mins till landing.. The flight was delayed and the airline had arranged for an escort to quickly get me to my next flight without even asking"

Voordelen: "Only complaint was the disembarking routine. They emptied all of business and first before coach could even begin to leave the coach cabin. I am all in favor of giving business and first preference in getting off the plane, but this was just too much, waiting for the slowest person in business to get off before a single person could leave the coach cabin."

If they would have informed and talked with the other customers that would have been fine but being treated like a piece of furniture isn't nice. Plus, continuous strikes in Belgium see a joke, check-in luggages delayed for plenty of airlines. This country doesn't even know what strike mean anymore being so often..."

Nadelen: "This has been a nightmare that is yet to end. After being delayed for two hours out of Rome to Istanbul and missing our connection to Jeddah with hundreds of other stranded passengers from the other flights, Turkish Airlines incompetent handling had us wait in multiple ques for more than five hours only to provide us a hotel for two hours and then shuttle back to a flight 12 hours later! I have yet to hear an explanation from anyone about what happened or a simple sorry for your trouble. This is operational incompetence at full display. Never Again!"

This story is repeating with your airline at 29th July our Turkish Airlines flight from Sarajevo was late for 3hours so we were running at Ataturk Airport to catch connection flight to Istanbul even though we booked 4 hours delay in Istanbul. We also received care bags with lip balm, socks, slippers and a night mask as well as a toothbrush and toothpaste. The flight did not seem like 12 hours. Thankfully."
