Nadelen: "The crew had their general Dutch aloofness on form. Chatted to one of the stewardesses in Dutch up until she saw I had a British passport then she decided she could only speak English to me."

Nadelen: "I paid almost $400 for upgraded seats. When I got to the airport-- no seats-- both ways!! i didn't even have regular seat assignments. I had to choose from the last few seats available. The ticket agent, the gate agent and the cabin crew all did nothing to make up for the fact that their system screwed up and stuck me in a cramped coach seat in the back of the plane for 11 hours-- TWICE! Beyond that, KLM must have one of the oldest fleets in the sky. Both ways LAX->AMS->LAX, I was on a 30-35 year old 747 with no wifi, no power and a ten-year-old entertainment system. Never again."

Nadelen: "Flight way delayed 3 hours. Staff gave no information and wouldn't help rebook us onto other flights. They gave us food vouchers 2 minutes before we finally boarded, so we couldn't use them. The food on the plane had spoiled so we were all starving on the flight, and we all missed our connections. Horrible experience and wouldn't fly with KLM again."

Voordelen: "Of the multiple international airlines I recently flew with, I would have to say KLM was by far the best. Relaxing atmosphere, comfortable seating, great in-flight entertainment, although I have the go-go in-flight data/entertainment plan with t-mobile (highly recommended), the flight included a decent selection of movies, television programs, etc. The food far exceeded typical "airline quality," even for an international flight - and included a fabulous little snack box with locally sourced gourmet and specialty items such as chocolate from Belgium, fine cheeses from France, and crackers from England. Drinks = gratis, and crew was exceptionally attentive and went out of their way to make flight as pleasant as possible."

Ground staff in Marseiile great but gate crew didn't control carry on baggage and many of us could not use overhead bins because of passengers who stowed more than one and often oversized suitcases above, so we and many others had to place carry on suitcases under seat. Attendant on plane totally unhelpful and could have rearranged a few bags to make room but preferred to stay in back of plane and talk. To be fair, rest of flight was pleasant although late due in part to boarding issues."

What's the point of giving me a boarding pass in Tel Aviv if I need to go to the United transfer counter in Brussels and go through the process again, including a TSA (friendly) interrogation?"

Nadelen: "They could have used the bathroom to stuff a few more people on this flight. Whoops, no, bathroom not clean. Tray broken on seat. Seated in last row and asked to close bathroom door of it opened during takeoff. Seated next to very large passenger who wanted to share my seat. Sat on tarmac for 30 minutes waiting to take off. For this, I paid $650."

Nadelen: "I chose Luthansa because I was traveling with a bike and they are usually good about not overcharging however after booking the flight, United took over the flight and they have very unfriendly bike policies (200 each way). Usually I will not fly United because of these policies, I think I am done flying any Star Alliance companies."

Voordelen: "Flight attendant noticed my husbands t-shirt from Galveston and talked briefly about it. Smooth flight."
Nadelen: "Since it was a smaller plane the seating room was tight."

Nadelen: "This was a mess as the attendants didn't not have my transfer ticket It took them for ever till the last minute when was called by the Microphone"

Voordelen: "Prima vlucht van Honolulu naar LA in moderne Boeing 737-900 van alle gemakken voorzien."

Nadelen: "The flight was fine, but my flight was cancelled on the 29th and the agent who helped rebook my flight was abrupt, then I get to the airport on the 30th and the flight is delayed another 2 hours. Of course it was all "weather" related, so no help from the airlines. I'm not a satisfied customer. I would have flown Delta if it was possible."

Voordelen: "Our connecting flight was more comfortable than flight from San Francisco"
Nadelen: "Delay because of change of plane and 3 gate changes"

Nadelen: "The pilot speeding up and then putting on the brakes time after time on flight from Norfolk 10:30 am to Dulles today. Very rough flight and it was beautiful smooth air today. I'm a private pilot and could not figure out what was going on,"

Voordelen: "Flight wasn't that long. Experience was okay. Flight was full. Attendants did their job. Some were more polite and helpful than others."
Nadelen: "No request was made for the outbound flight which I want to comment about. At Dulles Airport, I checked in at the Brussels Airline counter, only to be told that since I was on a flight operated by United, then I had to go to the United Airlines counter to check in. At UA, I was handed a boarding pass which advised that my seat will be assigned at the gate. I saw on the monitor where the available seats were-1 window, the remainder middle row. I got the feeling that since I bought a ticket which cost less than what the other United Airlines customers paid for, then I was being relegated to seats that the other travelers didn't desire."

Voordelen: "there was one flight attendant who was annoying slow when he spoke over the intercom and paused for long breaks while still breathing into the mic. Very awkward. Everyone else was great though."

Voordelen: "Helpful crew when I told them that my right leg was causing me severe pain. I asked them to order a wheel chair for me when the plane landed They did so right away."
Nadelen: "The DVD player at my seat did not work. I was the last one to leave the plane, with the help of some crew members; but no wheelchair was waiting for me. A staff called but was told that no such an order was received and no one was then available to bring me a wheel chair. Later someone in the Cleaning crew made a couple of calls and finally ,10 to 15 minutes later, a wheelchair arrived."

Voordelen: "Comfortable seating, great staff, food was pretty decent, they were very accommodating and had sufficient drinks and snacks through the flight. I would highly recommend Brussels Airlines."

Voordelen: "On time and friendly to Portland as always."

Nadelen: "People were not told where to get their transfer boarding passes until last minute. Security check of "random" passengers was overboard. I wasn't one of the passengers who had to undergo the extra security at the gate, but felt bad for those who did. Completely unnecessary.."

Nadelen: "A 1 hour delay in Brussels, combined with the complexity that is Dulles resulted our missing our connecting flight. The United employee who rebooked us for the late-night flight five hours later put my wife and me on separate rows, requiring a second wait in the lengthening lines to sort out. Avoid Dulles. Avoid United."

Voordelen: "There were good movies."
Nadelen: "Food didn't look great. There was a vegetarian option, which was nice to hear, though I opted to just eat food that I bought since the food looked like TV dinners. Also snacks were like pastries and cheese/meat sandwiches, which I didn't try. I would appreciate healthier snacks, like fresh fruit, or failing that, dried fruit and nuts. Also there were no electrical outlets, which made it a lot harder to get any work done on the flight. For such a long flight this was disappointing."

Nadelen: "Please read above--I was standing at the gate waiting to board when the gate rep told me and another passenger there was only one seat left--on a flight I was confirmed on! The other passenger said he had a family obligation and the rep handed him the last ticket before I could get a word out. I felt so disrespected and like my business and money meant nothing to United. Then began my saga to get to Portland. Unbelievable."

Voordelen: "There were empty seats and the very polite flight attendant offered for me to move without me having to ask."
Nadelen: "I arrived at my final destination and walked to baggage claim. I was just standing there waiting when a young girl walked by me in a uniform and said rudely and almost annoyed, "do you have a question". I replied that I was waiting on my bag. She then said these are it and I said so my bag has been lost? Without any empathy AT ALL she again, rudely and now most definitely annoyed said Do you have your bag tag? I said yes and she proceeded to walk away to a corner office. I assumed I was to follow. She took my tag, no communication at all from her, I said what are you doing and she replied I have to file a claim. She then proceeded to tell me that Newark Airport was horrible and never travel through there if I know what's good for me. This was extremely unprofessional. I was simply wanting some guidance from her on what to expect etc. I had to ask her what my next steps were. She handed me a flyer and said if I had any questions to call baggage information listed on the pamphlet. I left. The next day at about 1 p.m. I called the number and the update said my bag had left the airport and was out for delivery. Keep in mind that I had to work the next day after the airline losing my bag and had to purchase shower items etc due to them being in my lost bag. Portland jetport and my home address is less than 40 minutes apart, yet my bag did not arrive at my home until 8:30 p.m. and I'm also not confident it would have ever arrived because I called around 7 p.m. and spoke with someone who called the delivery service to ask their ETA. I paid $25 to check my bag and yet it was lost. What did I pay for?! If I can help it, I will NEVER fly United again and I'll be certain to tell everyone I know about my experience with this airline."

Voordelen: "Food was actually pretty decent for both dinner and breakfast that was served. There was also a wide variety of movies/tv/music to listen to on your personal tv."
Nadelen: "An economy seat on a long flight is never going to be very comfortable, and most of the flight I was very cold but I was lucky to have a seat with extra leg room."

Voordelen: "Videos on United flights kept getting re-started"

Nadelen: "Deverted to Newark to get to portland"

Voordelen: "The flight never took place, and I was never notified - not by United, not by Kayak, not by anyone. I called Customer Service on March 31 when I was notified the flight from Marrakech was rerouted to Liege, Belgium and was told to take a bus to Brussels. When I got to Liege, I was boarding a bus to Brussels when someone told me the airport was closed. I then got my flights rebooked on Lufthansa. Why was I never notified that the United flight was cancelled? I haven't checked on it yet, as I just got home after flying 3 flights from Liege instead of 1 flight from Brussels. I understand the situation is bad, but why NO NOTIFICATION?"
