Nadelen: "Our total flight time was about 17 hours - MAD- AMS-LAX. My husband and I both have an internationally approved carry on luggages with us. When we checked in - they asked us to both check in our carry on luggage. The reason why is because they said they don’t think they have enough space for our carry ons. I told the crew member checking us in that other people that was checking in with the same hand carry size luggage with us had no problems taking it with them. For being about to be on a 17 HOUR FLIGHT we should be ALLOWED to have our carry ons with us! We take carry ons for that reason! I had to argue and prove my case to the crew member to atleast keep 1 carry on with us. I thought that was an UNACCEPTABLE reason for us to check in a carry on luggage when we had a 17 hour travel time ahead of us. Not a happy costumer here."

Nadelen: "The boarding area was total chaos. In order to get to the gate I had to literally fight with the 100s of people who were waiting in the same area. No priority was given to family with children or elite members. Even when we complaint at the personnel we were told that “it was busy”. Usually KLM flight from Venice depart from the first floor where gates are bigger and you get straight with the finger to the airplane. Today it hasn’t been the case .... too poor service for a KLM fight"

During on boarding they communicate that because the cabin was full of hand luggage the rest of the passengers needed to dispatch their hand luggage for free. This occurs only because they charge to dispatch luggage when buying the tickets. So nobody dispatch luggage and those who dis became frustrated because they payed. This unfortunately occurs on all companies."

Nadelen: "They had no sandwiches for sale! No entertainment"

Nadelen: "Food. I didnt eat anything else on this trip with the exception of LATAMs provided meal and by landing I was in the ER with a food borne disease. Fluids coming out both ends hooked up to an IV to rehydrate my body while they ran tests which confirmed the food... Everything else was great just don't eat the food."

Nadelen: "Boarding was not organized. A lot of food options but only one dish, missed the salad or other options compared to other companies such as Delta, Lufthansa, KLM and etc.. Drinks were ok, lacked alcohol options compared to other companies."

Nadelen: "The American Airlines flight was delayed by 1hr. When landing in SFO we waited on the strip for 20mins to get to our gate."

Nadelen: "After getting off the shuttle to board the plane via stairs, men at the bottom and top of the stairs both stopped everyone and refused anyone to board. We were stuck on the tarmac for around 2-3 minutes. No entertainment options during the flight. No free food. Only water."

Voordelen: "We are an American Family. We traveled on LATAM Sydney to Auckland round trip. The plane was brand new Boeing Dreamliner 787-8 with all the bells and whistles. The attendants who are Spanish speakers but bilingual were delightful. We had one meal on each flight and 2 rounds of drinks. We had no issues with carry on or checked luggage. To summarize we had 2 perfect on-time flights with no fuss or drama. I couldn't recommend them more even if I tried.."

Nadelen: "It was on time, not like other LATAM flights within the country!! Comfortable reclining seats, good entertainment and meals"

Nadelen: "Plane was 6.5 hours late taking off. I missed a meeting in Cusco because overall I arrived 8 hours past my scheduled arrival time."

Nadelen: "When we got to the airport we were told our flight was cancelled.it was really a bummer because we did not get a notification when we checked in online the night before. We told them we had a flight to the US on the same day, so they notified the Latam office in Santiago. When we go t to Santiago, we only had an hour to spare for our next flight. They help ed us out with the boarding, skipping the long lines. That to me was impressive."

Nadelen: "For a rather long flight, amazed that we had to pay even for water. This isn't a low cost airline! Painful lack of legroom (I'm 5'10"). When the kid in front of me leaned back it was like a hammer on my kneecaps."

Voordelen: "Pretty much everything other than the fact we had to return to Santiago two hours into the flight for mechanical issues. On the upside, they had a plane and crew ready to go when we returned to Santiago"

I have traveled extensively for almost 20 years and have NEVER dealt with such a terrible company with such shady employees. It was unbelievable and we aren't the only ones. Just take a peek at their social media accounts. They don't allow reviews anymore but there is a community of people who have been stranded in South America by LATAM and the link is easily found. They seem to have a ploy to try and get people to buy extra tickets. Seriously a scam. Stay away!"

Nadelen: "3-3-3 in the 787. Yeah, everyone has it but that doesn't make it nice. Sandwich was small in quantity, average in quality."

Voordelen: "I have bought a ticket from To Aeroparque Jorge Newvery; and they cancelled the flight and sent me to Ezeiza without prior inform, concent and without any compensation."

Voordelen: "The plane was new, exceptionally clean & nice. The crew were very professional & friendly. They offered my husband & I exit row seats for no additional fee after seeing how uncomfortable his 6'3" frame was in the regular seats. The snack and beverage service was above average for a 3 hour flight."
Nadelen: "The wifi service was not the best and although the plane was new there was not much leg room at all and the seats were not the most comfortable, but for a 3 hour flight it wasn't too bad."

Sugiero que la tripulación informe a los pasajeros en tránsito sobre dónde dirigirse según el vuelo siguiente"

A l’heure où tout est informatisé, tracké, les aéroports sont censés être des endroits sécurisés.. Mais on arrive malgré tout à perdre une valise dans la nature...! Aucun professionnalisme, on nous ballade de services en services sans aucunes informations ni renseignements susceptibles de nous rassurer. Je suis très déçu, voyage de retour gâché par la faute de ces deux compagnies plus a même d’encaisser l’argent des clients que de se soucier d’eux."

Je n'ai pas.trouve la ventilation individuelle, donc ai eu peu trop chaud et très soif tout le vol."

Voordelen: "Most people had movies and other things to entertain themselves with via rear seat displays."
Nadelen: "My rear seat display never worked, though I complained about it at least 6 times during the flight. Nothing was offered to aid or fix the problem besides the stewardess saying she'd reset it several times."

Nadelen: "The flight from Miami to Sao Paulo was delayed, therefore, I lost the flight from Sao Paulo to Asunción, those from Latam did not give me any solution and they sent me to the people of American Airlines saying it was their fault. I traveled 3 hours through the whole airport and they did not give me any solution, no new flight."

Nadelen: "Nieuwe regels waarbij je je koffertje onder je stoel moet plaatsen of extra moet betalen om hem in de ruimte boven je hoofd te mogen plaatsen. Er is wel 5x gevraagd of ik wel zeker wist dat die van mij onder mijn stoel paste!!"

Nadelen: "We were not told our passports needed to have an expiration past six months of travel even though we got back before the expiration. We entered our passport info including our expiration dates and we’re given no warning. We even had our boarding passes prior to showing up at the airport. We will not use Kayak in the future and will book direct through the airline moving forward."

Voordelen: "Delays, delays, delays. An initial delay of 1.5 hours due to a switched plane. Then they needed mechanics to check out a bird hit to the plane. That took another 3 hours to happen. And they boarded us first, then found the issue, deplaned us, had a gate switch and then the wait. Very frustrating! Once on board, everything went smoothly as it typically does."

Voordelen: "Each of the flights arrived on time"
Nadelen: "Documentation initially was a bit vague around which legs of the 2 Stop Flight would be handled by American and which would be handled by Latam though that is probably more of the website problems"

Nadelen: "Past was dry... It was the first time but changed my experience"

Voordelen: "Great light, great staff. They did not have any movies or music you could listen to, but everything else was fabulous."

Nadelen: "Food isn't good. the connections can be offered in a much better and time efficient way but they were not. I had to change airports in NYC with a 7-hr layover while they could've flown me to JFK (there was available flights). Same thing with coming back, a long layover in Texas."

Nadelen: "Surprisingly, AA provided the worst experience of the overall itinerary, compared to Aer Lingus and Iberia. The AA plane was outdated, cramped legroom - despite having purchased an "upgraded seat" and departed 1hr late"

Nadelen: "Ticket counter very long in Miami. Kiosk did not work. Flight delayed in both routes."

Voordelen: "The boarding has become much clearer and efficient since the new system is deployed (instead of calling each level, you just see the boarding group no.)"
Nadelen: "The seat is cramped to its maximum. Leg room is no longer a thing. Entertainment system is lacking... sigh..."

Voordelen: "Customer service was excellent. Smooth flight. Early."
Nadelen: "In Charlotte the kiosks were not acting right. The agents were still exceptional but you could tell they were frustrated"

Nadelen: "I've got to the airport at 4:30am because my flight was at 8:00am. Unfortunately I had to wait until 12:30pm to take another flight because American Airlines didn't have a flight crew for our aircraft. They did not refund money for the waiting, they didn't give any voucher for breakfast, they just gave us chips and drinks. People were very anxious and mad about the sInitiation."

Nadelen: "Small plane, 6 seats per row, no individual entertainment. Not comfortable for a 7 hour trip."

Nadelen: "LATAM deboarded me from the flight after I had boarded. They claimed American had cancelled my reservation because they did not think I would make my connection. I ran in order to make it and then instead of offering me information on the next flight they left me stranded with instructions to find American. Terrible, terrible customer service. I will think twice before booking a LATAM flight again."

Voordelen: "They have a huge selection of movies"
Nadelen: "They do not have gluten free options"

Voordelen: "It was a very peaceful flight. The crew was extremely professional, and courteous, one of the members went out of her way, and frankly it was the kindest flight attendant has been to me in a while."
Nadelen: "The typical complaint you would hear regarding airplane food. Though, it does not warrant a true complaint of the flight."

Voordelen: "I liked because it was my mom first international trip and she got all the support from the crew. She loved it!"

Nadelen: "Voar 8 horas de Miami para Sao Paulo sem entretenimento de bordo foi péssimo. Poucos filmes e nenhum com legenda em Português. Se o voo era pro Brasil acho que era o mínimo que se poderia esperar. A comida estava horrível."

Voordelen: "AA flights now have individual screens with free movies/videos/music/games. Power outlet and USB port included. Staff was polite, helpful"

Nadelen: "Barcelona airport boarding area is a disaster. Poorly designed and not travel friendly. Very minimal choice of movies on the plane."

Nadelen: "Had to wait for mechanical issues so we were delayed."

Nadelen: "Lots of empty seats but was not available seat choice options when checking in"

Voordelen: "We arrived to our destination safety."
Nadelen: "My seat was changed on me last minute without notifying me. I was moved away from my friends. It took a while to get this resolved with my seat. Once it was solved my chair was broken and could not recline. It took them 3 hours to get this fixed and were rude to me the entire time. I told them I had never been treated so poorly on a plane."

Voordelen: "I liked a lot about our flight, especially that we didn't crash."
Nadelen: "For a 12 hour flight a little more leg room would have been nice."

Voordelen: "Food was very good and crew was very friendly"

Nadelen: "The flight circling for 1 hour leaving our connecting flight cancelled and forcing us to stay in Madrid for 24 Hours and the Iberia staff being rude and unhelpful left us in the airport for 6 Hours before offering us a hotel and coming back the next day to do 2 flights instead of a direct flight"

Voordelen: "Food and entertainment were okay."
Nadelen: "Iberia was unable to ticket us all the way through to our final destination when we checked-in at our origin (Faro). We then had to go through an arduous process to get handwritten boarding passes in Madrid. This put us at the end of the line for boarding. Then the gate agent refused to let us board because the boarding passes Iberia customer service wrote and stamped didn’t have ticket # on ithem. The gate agent made it clear that it was all on me to go back to the agent at customer service to get it addressed and make it back in-time. The other passenger was my 80 year old mother who a I had to leave unaccompanied at the gate so i’d have some chance of running across the terminal and making it back in-time, which fortunately I did. The complete lack of interest in helping or even acknowledging that this was their mistake is the reason why I will never fly Iberia again."

Voordelen: "Very comfortable. Service good"

Nadelen: "Short flight so no type of entertainment or drink/food service."

Nadelen: "Absurd weinig beenruimte. Alleen geschikt voor mensen kleiner dan 1.50m. Je kunt het best de hele vlucht op het toilet gaan zitten. Dit was één keer, maar nooooit weer!!! Sterk af te raden!!"

Nadelen: "Belachelijk weinig beenruimte, waardoor ik niet eens recht in m’n stoel kon zitten!"

Nadelen: "Sits are too tight. Honestly impossible to be comfortable"

Voordelen: "Very short flight."
Nadelen: "The stop in San Salvador is very disorganized."

Voordelen: "Airbus 320"
Nadelen: "Boarding process and pitiful legroom space . Iberia clearly loves showing the privileged few who have paid top dollars to be at the front , that we must be made to wait and struggle to get to our seats .Then, we have to squeeze into a tiny , pitiful space of a seat .....Even Ryanair does better !"

Voordelen: "Everyone is doing his job correctly and nicely. Nothing special to add"

Nadelen: "Mistake Kayak or its subcontractor made in listing the name of my wife incorrectly. This created a real hassle in getting a boarding pass in her name"

Voordelen: "Entertainment selection was good."
Nadelen: "Flight was significantly delayed. During this time, there was no air conditioning and it was extremely warm in the plane. Crew provided no guidance on connections at any point during flight."

Voordelen: "Great array of entertainment. The food was tasteful."
Nadelen: "No clear direction when attempting to board. Several passengers were unaware of what to do. Couldn't find the reclining button."

Nadelen: "On time, food is ok."

Nadelen: "Movie options weren't that great; I couldn't Buy extra baggage online because I didn't book directly through Iberia (not my fault that BA didn't fly this route and I didn't know it and it costed extra at the airport)"

Voordelen: "Nothing, their attitude showed no interest in helping me and my mother going back to the US."
Nadelen: "They were not able to bring us on board even if we made it an hour early."

Voordelen: "Cabin crew did reseat a passenger when there were two tallish men in same row."
Nadelen: "The seat on the LGW to MAD leg of my journey was very painful and uncomfortable. Seat pitch was very short. I have never seen such close seats in 45 years of flying including bargain airlines let alone more pricey higher quality airlines like British. Iberia was supposed to be an extension of British. When I arrived at MAD I went to the Iberia desk and tried to make an upgrade to their "business" class which was not up to the level of British's Premium Economy. At the Iberia desk at MAD, or online, or on the phone to upgrade the short leg of my return trip without raising cost of my whole round trip from USD $1250 to over USD $4000! years.This was RETURN part of my journey! Also was not able to choose seats ahead of time at MAD when I landed, online, or on the phone. British also said that I could not upgrade just the first (MAD to LGW) leg of my return journey. I would have to upgrade the LGW to TPA also. It is critical to me that I can physically fit into the space between my seat and the one in front. Emergency evacuation would be very difficult for all pax with the short seat pitch. My having to sit sideways with my legs in the aisle would make it more difficult for other pax to to evacuate in an emergency. Since I need a wheel chair I can no longer request the exit row as I have done for 45 years. British should be aware that bad experiences with partner airlines tarnishes their reputation. As a premier airline British should pressure partner airlines to maintain seat pitch at no less than 32 inches which is still tight for many people. Since not all partners have equivalent classes of fares, British should allow mixed classes. For example on a TPA to MAD round trip journey, it should be possible for the transatlantic legs to be at Premium Economy prices, and the short legs LHR or LGW to MAD at business class prices. Nadelen: "The crew is so rough, never smiling, and speaking very poor English. Well, it was Iberia, and they are famous for that. When the Spanish company will address the fact that customer service should be their top priority is still to be seen."

Nadelen: "Could not board the plane as it was overbooked!!!!!"

Voordelen: "Legroom and cabin crew"
Nadelen: "Very bad check-in, families have priority...also if they have 16 years old "kids". They couldn't print the boarding pass for the connecting flight, no water, no coffee, dirty plane, my baggage arrived destroyed (open in half), they promised to ship it the day after and it was a lie."

Voordelen: "Entertainment was great, great food! You can't beat the price of the ticket."
Nadelen: "When I arrived I was greeted by a "what up." Instead of a professional "Hello." The man who helped me at MIA was rude and threw my passport in my face when he told me I needed a return ticket. After I booked another ticket for return.. I presented myself to another counter staff."

Voordelen: "Hay buen entretenimiento y hay espacio suficiente."
Nadelen: "En el vuelo no fueron tan amables, no dan suficiente comida ni es tan buena para un vuelo de 11 horas."

Nadelen: "Despite seeing a crew bring 3 pieces of luggage to the plane, since the cargo was closed they turned around and 1 of those was my luggage which arrived a day later. The flight was late departing and then required to circle the airport and then the luggage did not make it."

Voordelen: "Cheap fare"
Nadelen: "Disorganized boarding and didn't even offer water for free on flight."

Nadelen: "Iberia is not good at boarding"

Voordelen: "A short flight but could have some form of entertainment."

Voordelen: "Crew was friendly and service was great. Food good and had a great selection of movies. Thanks."

Nadelen: "Chair design very uncomfortable. Food was for sale - I find that really cheap. It's a two-hour flight. Drinks and snacks should be part of the package."

Voordelen: "Short 2 hour hop to Heathrow, adequate seating, nothing challenging about this flight. Barcelona airport is very user friendly, open and expansive. Service was good on the flight."
Nadelen: "Landed at heathrow, which is a sprawling airport and plenty of time required for the endless walking, bussing, and subway connections between terminals and gates. But efficient."

Voordelen: "Food was great - much better than you get from the US based airlines! Flight wasn't full - which helped tremendously with comfort"

Nadelen: "Boarding was a mess. Business was overbooked and Iberia's team at check-in totally clueless and hopeless. During the flight, crew was impolite and unhelpful. Finally, my seat was broken -- and had to be manually inclined."
