Nadelen: "I usually don't fly from JFK. The food court was expensive (18 dollars base price from a burger seems a high even for an airport. I don't fly from NY normally - so maybe I need to tune my expectation for the locale, and it may have NOTHING to do with the airline company."

Voordelen: "Crew was very friendly for the most part. There seems to be a chance in the way they interact with customers. It's noticeable. The food still is not bad, not great. Drink selection was pretty extensive and impressive. Free wifi for messaging apps is great."
Nadelen: "Electrical plug is right at your knee level. Bread is rock hard an inedible. Plane felt very dry compared to other Delta planes. Would be good to know when the Wifi will be off (as it is off as we "approach the North Pole"). I wish we didn't have to repack bags that are over 52lb."

Nadelen: "Crew could have proactively provided more water. I was really thirsty mid-flight and had to stand up and ask for water myself."

Had to scramble so my 18 year old son was not stranded overnight in a strange place and Delta does not help. Only rebooked a flight itinerary for the next day for a 4 hour flight with connections on a 1 hour direct flight. Spent an hour on line to figure out what to do. #neverdelta"

Voordelen: "Entertainment is so appreciated on long flights. It was quiet. Snacks done quickly. Took a long time to board, but the flight was full. We were delayed out of gate because of this. Unloading plane went fairly quick but could have been a problem for short connections. Those people should have been allowed to leave first."

Voordelen: "Quick and easy boarding. The overall flight was fast so no time to get uncomfortable."

Nadelen: "Let me just say that I’m a loyal Delta costumer until now. The flight attendants (the two women) were an absolute nightmare. They were so rude and condescending. I was carrying with me my service dog and a bag containing an expensive medication (it couldn’t go on the top bin). Despite being in the comfort class and having the seat next to me empty, we were tight for space. The flight attendants were unreasonable and forced me to put my medication on the top bin despite the fact I had told them it was extremely delicate, that it that to go upright, and that I needed to keep it with me. They did not listen and pressured me into giving them the medication. The medication could have easily gotten broken. Thankfully it didn’t but this is no way to treat a human being."

Nadelen: "De onbetrouwbare procedures bij KLM en Schiphol. Kan niet online inchecken bij Delta: KLM operated. Alleen op Schiphol. Daar ook niet bij machine. Naar een loket. Die meneer geeft aan: stop uw koffer in automaat. Die accepteert niet. Had die meneer ook gelijk kunnen zeggen. Volgende loket. Die mevrouw geeft groen Delta label: uw bagage wordt in Atlanta direct doorgezonden naar Kingston. Ik loop dus door in Atlanta. Maar behulpvaardige meneer melde: uw bagage wordt niet doorgezonden. Nooit uit Amsterdam. Wie moet ik dan geloven? Ik toch maar wachten. Blijkt koffer toch van bagage band in Atlanta te komen. Als ik op Delta/KLM info had vertrouwd, was mijn koffer dus pleite geweest, want niet doorgezonden. Geplande tussenstop duur van 2 uur was volgens douane te weinig. Dat klopte. Haalde maar net vlucht Atlanta/Kingston."

Nadelen: "Erg opeengepakt geklemd. Mijn bloed stolde bijna."

Voordelen: "Nothing quite as nice as first class. Ravioli for dinner was tasty. The browned butter gelato is amazing. That's why I only fly Delta and I fly every week. While other airlines decline, Delta shines. Thanks to the awesome crew."

Voordelen: "Some "perk" for Diamond status on Delta to get to a shorter security line, but customs and immigration was... customs and immigration."
Nadelen: "No available SkyTeam lounge unless you had a business class ticket. As a Diamond flier, I can always access the SkyTeam lounges. Audio for boarding was a little unclear so there was some confusion at boarding. For reasons unknown, my bag was moved from one overhead bin to another. Very frustrating since I board early to avoid this confusion and hassle."

Voordelen: "I could be wrong, but the seats were very comfortable (for a plane) and I felt my knees weren't as close to the seat in front of me than other airlines. So that's a plus."

Voordelen: "Comfortable flight, ample leg room, and the chairs were pretty plush. Comfort+ is pretty nice"
Nadelen: "On my first flight they forgot to turn the wifi on. I have unlim data but obviously can't use while in air; no big though."

Voordelen: "There were no problems at all, the only thing some times the entertainment would go out or slow, nothing else."

Nadelen: "My second plane had sooo much moisture coming from the cooling system it looked like the passengers were getting gased and I kept getting wet from water condensation falling on me in a window seat as I tried to sleep from having such an early flight to begin with only to be told it's delayed 3 hrs without explanation."

Voordelen: "The flight attendants were stellar--polite, respectful, helpful, attentive. I want to particularly commend the attendant who, after I notified her that someone was very ill in the adjacent bathroom, stood discreetly nearby and offered the person a glass of water when he emerged. Very considerate."
Nadelen: "The transfer was a horrible, stressful experience. We knew it as a short connection but Lufthansa had accepted it. On our outward bound flight three weeks earlier, we were all met and escorted swiftly by a flight attendant from the first leg plane (EWR-MUN) to the second leg plane (MUN-Nice) to ensure that we all made it onboard. Impressive. On our return journey, no such luck! No attendant to meet us, and a huge line at immigration, full of panicked and stressed-out passengers jockeying for position, with no-one from ANY airline there to do a triage for those with the shortest connections. Ridiculous. In addition, the passport-scanning machines were very slow and quirky. My own passport was rejected because there was no evidence I had passed through Munich on my outward bound journey!! RIDICULOUS. I managed to slip through to a human being and begged the immigration officer to let me go through with my husband, who had had no such problem. The officer told me he could not find a stamp from my earlier transit through!!! Eventually I suppose he did because he let me through. The stamp was there, I found it, but it had been sloppily applied and was half off the page...hence the rejection by the scanner. We made the flight by minutes. NOT GOOD! Surely Lufthansa could do better in their own country???"

Nadelen: "•We boarded and consequently landed late, which caused my cousin to miss his connecting flight, coupled with the long customs process upon landing. There was no accommodation given to my cousin so I have to take him back home with me and then drive 2 hours tomorrow morning to bring him back for his new flight. •The charger ports for our seats were not working, which means we were 8 hours + without a phone. •One female flight attendant had a bad attitude and dropped pretzels in my lap after I turned to quickly ask my cousin a question regarding what drink he wanted. •The plane landing was one of the most reckless I’d ever witnessed."

Nadelen: "The whole trip was a nightmare. I go out of my way to NOT fly United, In this case Lufthansa somehow just sold the ticket and United was flying it and as usual it was horrendous. We had to be re-routed via 3 separate flights jus to make our international connection thanks to our initial flight being moved up 2 hours EARLY. They closed the door in our faces. That added 8 hours of travel time to our trip which I had booked to minimize travel time as I was traveling with pets. United is the WORST."

Voordelen: "The seats were very comfortable -- the plane wasn't very full, so there was room to spread out for some folks. As a vegetarian, the lunch meal was EXCELLENT, thank you. There was a second snack given just before landing that was basically roasted peppers on bread that was not good -- so you know, many vegetarians actually have sensitivity against peppers, so perhaps another vegetable or option would be better there. Crew was very affable and helpful."
Nadelen: "See point before re: second snack. Our flight was delayed for two hours, presumably due to snow in Oslo. The boarding area was disorganized -- something I remember from flying through Norway a few years ago as well. I also didn't quite understand why I received priority boarding, as a United gold member on my outbound fight, but not on my return. So the inconsistency was a bit confusing/frustrating. But the flight overall was smooth, and the accommodations quite good."

Nadelen: "The crew passed by me TWICE while serving food and I was not sleeping at that time. I had to go and ask for food myself. Also there was a delay about 40 minutes when taking off in CPH (CPH-EWR) because of a fuel-screen malfunction or smth. The pilot was very nice and kept us informed all the time. I still didn't make my connection flight due to the delay and SAS rebooked me which made my already long trip 8 hrs longer."

Voordelen: "Le personnel de bord a été très agréable et professionnel. L'embarquement à Stockholm est très bien fait et il n'y a pas de perte de temps."

If they do answer the phone (1-800-221-2350), they either put you on hold for a whole day or, if you leave your phone no. and name to have them call you back, they never do . I am not the only person who has this experience. It is too bad because if this continues, the airline will loose business and I would hate to see that. However, I still will use KAYAK"

Nadelen: "No entertainment. They didn't notify us that there was no wifi until 5 minutes before we boarded. Being older than the electronic age, I did not have movies or games on my phone. Had we had earlier notice, I would have had time to hit the book store. Since the flight was delayed an hour, they had plenty of time to notify us earlier than just before boarding. An 8.5 hour flight without entertainment made the experience unpleasant."

Nadelen: "The boarding process was strange. We landed onto a bus and boarded the plane on the tarmac- all fine. But it would have been nice to have an announcement as we arrived at the gate “ladies and gentlemen traveling to Denver, we will begin boarding in a few moments. Here is how this will go or this is"

Nadelen: "The boarding process was non existent and lacked personnel at the terminal. The flight was six hours, a snack should be offered."

Voordelen: "Not a lot."
Nadelen: "Boarding via bus just takes forever, get a legitimate jet bridge. Also the airport has about 20 seats at each gate for 80+ passenger planes, leaving a lot of people sitting on the floor."

Voordelen: "The flight took off and landed on time. There were also a lot of good food options on the flight that were not only edible, but also healthy"

Nadelen: "See above"

Nadelen: "The seat bottom cushion was extremely uncomfortable."

Nadelen: "Not iceland air fault but waited over an hour after we landed to get into a gate. Then waited another 30 minutes after customs until luggage arrived. Seats go too far back. The guy in front of me was siting in my lap. Also the flight status boards in Reykjavik were not well designed. I've never seen so many people panicking and running to flights in my life. i was in the terminal for 3 hours on a layover and watched about 10% of the people freaking out. 99% of the time it was over nothing."

Voordelen: "Avion neuf, confortable et silencieux. Nous sommes partis en retard mais sommes arrivés « presque » à l’heure prėvue."
Nadelen: "La barrière de départ n’a pas été indiquée sur les écrans électroniques, et comme nous nous étions enregistrés en ligne et que nous attendions au salon où les vols ne sont pas annoncés, nous sommes arrivés tard à l’embarquement et avons presque manqué notre vol. À bord, le personnel a fait le nécessaire mais pas plus, service peu chaleureux et minimaliste. Le débarquement s’est fait avec une navette, comme à Mirabel dans le temps, et comme il n’y avait qu’une seule navette à la porte arrière, le processus a êté laborieux."

Nadelen: "Boarding at KEF needs to be more organized."

Voordelen: "Good movie selection?"
Nadelen: "I had to pay for extra luggage, because though I paid for an Economy Standard ticket which does come with checked-in baggage, there was nothing written on my ticket to prove it. I paid for the standard ticket ahead of time specifically. Although the staff were nice enough, for a struggling student, this mix-up was unacceptable. I now find myself making calls and trying to get in contact with both Kayak and Icelandair for a refund of the 88euro. I think I was particularly unlucky, because I was picked twice for special security checks, which pulled me out of the line I was waiting in while the flight was delayed, and I had to re-enter the line at the end. Though I requested window seats, I did not receive one either time (though I knew it wasn't guaranteed). There was also no overhead storage space for carry-ons overhead, so I had to make my way to the front of the plane to store my backpack, and several of those who came after me had to sit with their carry-ons on their lap. The seats were also pretty uncomfortable with a thick unadjustable headrest; and the air quality was terrible, a bit smelly and very dry. As a frequent flyer (who does fly with icelandair occasionally) this was unusual."

Voordelen: "Pillows and blankets free of charge."
Nadelen: "You had to go through their customs to change plans. Then you had to board a bus to get carried over to your connecting plane. There was not enough time allowed between flights to do that. They did not have enough bathrooms for all the flights coming in at the Iceland airport. Iceland Air is basically a travel agency in an airplane for Iceland. A lot of pushing by the company to stop in Iceland for a few days and buy Iceland products. It was a lot of hassle to cross the Atlantic on Iceland Air, and I will try not to use them again."

Voordelen: "Nothing good about this airline"
Nadelen: "Forget about comfortable experience during the flight. The way how they list the ticket from Kayak is the scam. Stated Economy class on Kayak and their own website ticket info. Once you chek in, they will stated this is the cheapest economy ticket, doesnt allow any baggage, and you have to pay I think around $150 for round trip baggage. End up with just to carry on, wouldnt able to shop in Europe. If you includ baggage flight would be similar to other airline provide baggage and quality services. Huge mistake, customer service located overseas, and dont care about customer."

Voordelen: "Got home safely"

Voordelen: "Loved the personalized tv in front of me and plenty of space above me in the middle seats!"
Nadelen: "There were no snacks"

Voordelen: "The beet salad and the bouillabaisse were both excellent. The flight attendants were attentive and helpful. Wide selection of entertainment choices."
Nadelen: "Our connection from Zurich arrived as boarding had begun in Reykjavik. When we arrived at the gate, it looked like business class had already been called, so there was HUGE mob gathered about the gate including small children. An employee worked her way through the crowd randomly checking passports and marking boarding passes. Eventually we made it onto the shuttle which drove us out to the plane. I wouldn't like to fly Icelandair overnight because I wouldn't be able to sleep at all in the business class seats since they don't recline that much."

Nadelen: "Baggage fees were horribly expensive."

Voordelen: "Poor communication. Old planes. Late departures and arrivals. And the staff has zero f@;$s to give."
Nadelen: "See above."

Voordelen: "Clean plane and facilities. Nice crew. Email notifications of delays"
Nadelen: "Multi-hour delays - strike induced on outbound flight, weather induced on return flight. Email notifications were nice but inconsistent. Expensive food."

Nadelen: "There are no snacks given, which is unheard of. I have never been on an international flight that doesn't even give you a bag of pretzels? This needs to be changed. Also, the chairs recline too low, people are in your lap, which is unacceptable."
