Nadelen: "Both ground staff and inflight crews border on rude, but I choose to believe it's a cultural thing and not a corporate or personal failing. Really, it's a coldness more than anything. No warmth or empathy. Planes are showing their age, particularly in the seat monitors. Screens have dead zones with inoperative icons. Also, quite a few seats were literally falling apart. But, when you fly to more countries than any other airline, some wear-and-tear is to be expected."
Voordelen: "They give me windows seat. Problem give Aaisle seat to handicap. Old man can’t move nowhere’s ever time I like go bathroom waited someone help him crews members are rude I requested it’s hard. Nobody care my priority 30 min waiting then I use restroom. Disappointed Los Angeles to Istanbul uncomfortable journey"
Nadelen: "Turkish Airlines does not communicate with its passengers. If the flight is late (as both of ours were), you wait with no information as to when the flight leaves. The same lack of communication occurs once you on board. I joked to my wife that the cargo on a Fed-Ex flight is given more information. Arrived in Istanbul with a very tight connection. Airplane was not given a gate so we needed to take a bus to terminal. The bus dropped us just about as far from our connecting gate as possible. Since it took four buses to transport passengers, one could have been designated for US bound transfer passengers (who were all leaving from same group of gates) and taken us directly there."

Nadelen: "The process to get into the plane at Istambul was horrendous. It took forever to process the passengers."

Nadelen: "Seats were three across very cramped and uncomfortable."

Nadelen: "The customer service in Istanbul airport (for Turkish Airlines) did not speak or understand English at all. She could not give us any helpful information of our flight"

Nadelen: "Too long distance between terminals and very short time between my connecting flights make it almost not possible."

Nadelen: "An hour late with no apologies. And seats are so small, the people sitting next to me were so large that I didn’t have enough room."

Nadelen: "Asian vegeterian meal was bland , I had a big piece of brocolli in my meal as oppose to curry , did get bread in my meal . Entertainment options were not alot esp new movies ."

Nadelen: "Boarding in Istanbul and Tel Aviv was chaotic, no business class boarding. Checking laptop in Istanbul was inconvenient. Lounge Istanbul was awesome however way too crowded to fully take advantage of it. Also should control people and what they takfor food. The lines were long and people would literally pile their plates with massive amounts of food, take it to their seat then leave it. Fix the lockers and add more, they are a wonderful asset but I was not able to take advantage of. Consider limiting access to manage crowds."

Nadelen: "Food was dried out and tasteless"
Voordelen: "The flight and crew were fine. The food and drinks are free, which I wish some US carriers would take note of and adopt."
Nadelen: "No heads-up that we couldn't take tablets / laptops on next flight to the USA."

Nadelen: "It did not matter where you were on the flight, last row or business class, you all boarded at once. It was a big free for all. And usually business class is given a given special treatment as soon as they are seated but it was not the case. The short flights are not worth the price of the business class."
Voordelen: "It was s safe flight."
Nadelen: "We were forced to go through numerous security checks. The last check was at the gate and our carry-ons were searched yet again and our laptops, cameras and iPads were taken. Apparently we cannot bring these items on the plane and no one told us, the customers who paid to board this flight. Plus the wifi was not free. And when we tried to use the wifi code we were given from the crew as a "perk" from our camera Ana iPads being taken, that still did not work. So that was a 13 hr flight with no wifi. Plus on my flight from Istanbul to Atlanta my Tv did not work and the crew didn't speak English and could not understand my complaint. Overall the worst flight ever, close to a Delta flight which everyone knows is the bottom of the barrel of airlines. When we finally arrived in Atlanta it took 3 HOURS to get our baggage. We landed at 7:45 PM and did not get our bags until 11 pm. We were not told what the delay was and to just be patient. I will a NEVER take this airline agin."

Nadelen: "Entertainment system was present, but not working. Short enough flight that we didn't need it, though"
Voordelen: "Never again shame Missed connexion in Istanbul no service awful and lack of respect no more such a disaster no Thanx 3rd and last time"

Nadelen: "The cabin crew seemed like they were on drugs. They gave us food and collected the trays 2 hours later. First time ive ever experienced this with turkish airlines."
Nadelen: "First let me tell you that when I booked a flight to Istanbul from Brussels, I booked, so I thought, the airport called Istanbul Ataturk with the initials of IST. What I got was SAW after I paid for a booking that said IST. Sabina Gokcen is one hour away further on the Asian side of Turkey. I did not want this airport! There was nothing I could do about this but bite the bullet & accept what I got since I was not allowed to have any corrections made after paying for this ticket. I am highly disappointed with Kayak. The first time you have disappointed me greatly!"

Nadelen: "Hot in the plane during and after boarding - no cool air. I have come to expect more from Turkish Airlines, and I hope they make sure they improve this aspect."
Voordelen: "The cabin crew were super friendly, attentive, and accommodating on our flight. Upon boarding the flight, pillows, blankets, and earbuds were awaiting us on our seats. During the flight, the crew handed out Turkish delights, lemon-scented hot towels, and sleep-care bag full of goodies (like ear plugs, slippers, etc.). The entertainment system had quite a selection of music, TV shows, movies, and games! Though it's always uncomfortable sitting on a plane for an international flight, I felt our Economy seats had a little more legroom than most, and there was definitely a lot of stuff to do on the plane if you didn't want to sleep."
Nadelen: "The second meal I had, eggplant pasta, tasted terrible along with the beans. The only redeeming factor was the yogurt! In addition, the A/C was surprisingly on low, and for the first time, I became hot on the flight - not that I really minded. It was just a different experience. We also took off an hour after we boarded, which I thought was strange."

Nadelen: "Had to wait 1 week for the money to be unblocked which affected my vacation"

Nadelen: "The chairs didn,t go well for sleeping And we had 12 hrs to do ."
Nadelen: "I was assigned a non-existent seat! How could that happen?! I had to sit in a leftover seat after everyone else had claimed theirs."
Voordelen: "The crew is excellent"
Nadelen: "The seats area are too small my knees hurt as they hit just the edge of the food tray, impossible flight with the seat other than straight as you will be disturbing a lot the other passengers, although unfortunately some people do not care about the confort of the others"
Voordelen: "Good movies to watch and food was also pretty good"
Voordelen: "The flight was good. The food was good and the air hostesses were courteous. There was fair leg space in the economy flight and entertainment was also good. However, the negatives far outweighed these positives."
Nadelen: "The layover arrangements were a shame. No proper accommodation was provided despite having over a 24 hour wait period. I along with other passengers were stacked in dorm style non barricaded rooms in 1.5ft wide beds like animals. It was in total poor taste. Half the Turkish Air employees I approached at the Airport for help with directions and clarifications were dismissive to the point of being obnoxious. Walking through the airport, all I could think was what a disorganized and hard to navigate airport it was. It was an unpleasant experience and I will never recommend Turkish Airline to anyone. It was my first Turkish air, and it will be my last."
Voordelen: "There was a full meal served. Free blockbuster movie."

Voordelen: "The traditional hospitality I got in flight was quite unique. Many things change but some things always remain the same. Some may call it old fashioned or not modern but then I am an old fashioned guy. It was like stepping back in time when things were always so much nicer."
Nadelen: "Istanbul airport was very very busy and some places were not working very efficiently (security scan when you go from the plane to the transit lounge). The departure gate was overflowing in the waiting areas and the bus ride to the plane was very crowded. Aside from this Istanbul airport and the transit lounge were very pleasant."
Voordelen: "Loved Turkish Air. This was my first flight with them and I will fly again with them!!"
