Once we were checked in we had to shove our way onto an overcrowded bus for transport from the gate to the plane. More buses are needed when ferrying people by bus from the gate to the plane, in general (not just on this flight)."

Food awful (tuna sandwiches for everyone served in a closed tube hurtling through the air not my idea of a good time) but it was a short flight from Amsterdam to Malta so whatever."

Nadelen: "Crew insisted on showing boarding ticket when entering the plane even we just went through check on gate. I am frequent flyer, and most companies do not do that. When I asked, stewardess very impolitely answered that I obviously do not know it is Air Malta custom. It seemed to me that she did not know that not all companies are doing that. I left conversation at that point. On the way out of the plain she avoided to address me with even Good buy like other customers... Sad."

Nadelen: "We watched the woman tag our bags We were in Malta for the last leg of our honeymoon. And somehow our bag with a months worth of clothes was lost. Completely lost. The tag number we were given is for a bag of someone in Nova Scotia. After a beautiful trip we lost over 12k of clothes and make up and shoes. Just a horrible way to end our honeymoon. So awful."

Nadelen: "Check in was a little confusing. For a small airport, it was tough to figure out which line was the correct line for me. They were too generic and not descriptive enough. The online checkin was also glitchy. I tried three times before managing a complete checkin. I was never sure if I was going to have a ticket when I got to Paris for my next flight. My luggage did it make it. Not sure if that happened in Malta or Paris, though."
Voordelen: "The Maltese people are so nice and accommodating. I really enjoyed my flight to ROME. I really enjoyed the Maltese Islands."
Voordelen: "I have used their service 4 times in the last month and it is always consistent. If there is a delay, they communicate regularly the reason for the delay and how they are managing it. This flight was on time and comfortable."
Nadelen: "The sandwich handed out is not that good and the snack selection is limited. However, for such a short flight (Malta to Zurich - 2 hours), this really isn't a major issue."

Nadelen: "I was late to catch my plain to San Francisco 5 minutes because it was too much people at customs and the plain coming from Madrid was 15 to 20 minutes late due to the bad weather. The plain was supposed to departure at 6:30pm and I got there at 6:20pm the agent at the gate told me that the doors were closed and she gave me a plain ticket for the next flight to San Francisco."

Nadelen: "We paid $30 each way for extra legroom, but our seats did not provide it, and there were no empty seats available in the appropriate rows to correct the error. As happened before the airline pleaded a "change of aircraft" with no extra legroom seats. We were somewhat accommodated by being re-seated in the middle section with an empty seat between us, but this was not what we preferred or needed."

It seems alitila relays on this to rip of foreigners. This is despicable. This happened twice from two different booking companies and only with Alitalia. I will follow this up next week."

However, at that point, it was very late and we had to wait for everyone else to be accommodated as well. It would have been a better process to have allowed passengers more information prior to arriving in Rome at 22:00"
Nadelen: "We missed our connecting flight to Palermo. For hours before, while we were stuck at Heathrow, we had little to no information as to what would happen once we landed in Rome. We were traveling with two small children and this was extremely frustrating and tiring."

We were very happy that for the first time Alitalia didn't loose our luggage(!) and we got it in Athens. Thank you!!!"

Nadelen: "Alitalia is a Bullshit company, we were late to our connection because of the air line, they told us the next flight is waiting for us, but they didn't... We got tickets to the next flight with no compensation and they lost our snowboard case."
Nadelen: "Worst airline company ever. Lost my baggage for 4 days although a friend of mine on the exact same flight with me received his. I'm on a snowboarding trip and they lost all my gear and basically made it impossible to enjoy my vacation. I sent 3 emails and no one has contacted me yet! I agree that these things might occur but the airline has to take responsibility for their mistakes and address the issues. WORST airline I've been to, if you are thinking of using it I double insure everything and don't count on them to be responsive!"

The "E ticket" didnt have: Terminal Carrier i.e. Air Italia The flight numbers Any record or reference number the airline(s) could use. Could not purchase a bag and had to pay extra at the airport Whilst clearing security Air France pulled me out of line found me to be 1 killo over, and air Italia demanded another 75 euros. Not the first time this has happened. I pointed out numerous french people passing with very heavy bags and indeed helped several women lift 20+ kilo bags on the flight into the overhead bin on this flight and others. They all were french and never were they stopped with their heavy bags "Oh" the "security" guy said "I thought you were English!" "Not so" said this Irishman "And you are racist". To no avail and all part of Air france's business plan to charge the dreaded Estranger extra. Never again will I fly Air France. Id rather take a train, drive or even walk. Very bad experience start to finish and yes so very Air France; well Air Italia too.."
Nadelen: "There was some issue with checking in, there was a massive line and over an hour wait just for less than an hour flight.. there was zero communications as to what was happening and there were no staff attending priority queues"
Nadelen: "The boarding was chaos in both Munich and Rome. Apparently Al Italia had instituted a new computer system and the workers did not know how to use it. I spent hours on line getting a boarding pass in Munich, and then again another in Rome (in Munich no one was given boarding passes for connecting flights). I spend hours again in lines to get a boarding pass for a flight to Palermo, missing my connection and only getting a much later flight to Palermo. It was utter confusion. Shame on Al Italia."
Nadelen: "Staff was overwhelmed and not helpful. They don't seem to want to make sure flights are on time or that passengers are taken care of."

Nadelen: "Delay of 2 HOURES cosed missing a connection flight to Tel Aviv. Next flighr to Tel aviv 36 houres later !!!"
Nadelen: "No in-flight entertainment (not even radio). Seat headrests not adjustable, so bad luck if you are tall. Food was the smallest pastry I think I've ever seen. Tray table was dirty when I folded it down."

Voordelen: "AlItalia Flight 629 was operated by Airbus A330-200, which is a smaller version of A300 family. The seats were comfortable with enough legroom. The service was OK: there was no cocktail service, but only a dinner, which was surprisingly tasty. Alcohol-wise they served only wine in coach, which was also available throughout the flight at the self-service station by the galley, Overall, I would rate the my flight as just Okay."
Nadelen: "The flight was delayed over 80 minutes due to "the wait for necessary paperwork," as the pilot has stated. During the wait for the departure, the a/c was off and it was very hot, stuffy and uncomfortable on board the plane. As a result of the delay, I barely made my connecting flight, and there were many passengers that missed their connecting flights."

I nearly missed my next flight. The variety of movies was poor. Half of them were Italian movies (I respect that, but I don't speak the language), I wish there were more movies and newer ones it's not easy when you have 11 hours flight also the chairs were really small, even compared to alitalias smaller planes in which the chair is larger and much more comfortable"

Nadelen: "Problème à l'enregistrement en ligne car mon billet Air Canada n'existait pas dans la base de données Brussels Airlines. Cela m'a valu presque 2 heures de téléphone avec Air Canada (0.15 euro la minute). Et puis au comptoir d'enregistrement, nouveau gros problème, celui-là très grave à mon sens. L'agent de comptoir m'a dit que je n'avais pas d'ESTA, donc que je ne pouvais pas partir, alors que j'en avais un. En pleine panique, j'ai appelé ma mère qui heureusement a retrouvé en 5 minutes dans son ordinateur mon numéro d'ESTA. Cela m'a causé une très grosse frayeur, car c'était presque le moment de la fermeture de l'enregistrement, et m'a vraiment gâché le voyage. Je me plains donc franchement du manque de gentillesse et de la qualité du service de l'agent de comptoir. Je précise que j'étais en billet retour, donc il aurait été facile à l'egent de penser que j'avais un ESTA puisque j'avais fait escale à Chicago aussi à l'aller."

Nadelen: "I tried for numerous days before the flight to buy a piece of baggage online and I kept getting tossed back and forth between Expedia and Brussels Airlines. In the end, I wasn't able to purchase it ahead of time and we had to pay $49 at the airport. I feel entitled to a reimbursement of the difference between the booking online price of $15 and the $49 I paid."

Nadelen: "I paid for a ticket that includes a hot meal, but a day before the flight they changed their policy so I didn't get any meal. They even asked for money for a cup of water, and this is my red line. The seats recline and comfort is poor."
Nadelen: "- No order to the boarding in Brussels. I am used to boarding in zones so things tend to be less congested leading up to the jetway. - This may or may not have been something the airline could have changed but sitting in the plane for 5 hours waiting to de-ice was unacceptable. The entire food service was served in this time so no food was available for the 6 hour flight to Accra. Had we been able to wait in the terminal, passengers could get their own food and the food for the flight could have been saved. Also, they ran out of chicken dishes by the time I was served and I was left with fish only. Had I been a vegetarian, this would have been unacceptable."
Nadelen: "We got stuck on the plane for an additional 5 hours before take off because of the smallest amount of snow. Even knowing how much extra time they did not load any extra food on the plane. We finally took off only to be rerouted to Lome instead of Accra which took an additional 2 hours. The whole thing took an extra 7 hours. From 11am to 12:55 pm we were provided only 1 meal and ice cream. The staff were not apologetic at all, they said if we wanted to be mad at someone it should be the weather... They should probably go back to customer service school."

Voordelen: "Crew was vey professional. Arrival in Rome was to a gate rather than a bus, which was unusual but nice. Baggage delivery was also surprisingly quick for Rome. The Brussels Airlines lounge in Brussels airport is fantastic!"
Nadelen: "The flight departure was delayed 1 1/2 hours, meaning we arrived in Rome at nearly midnight. No complimentary drinks on board. As a Star Alliance Gold member, I chose Brussels Airlines out of loyalty. But the cheap approach to customer care means I will have to reconsider flying with you in the future."

I appreciate finally getting it 4 days later but I was not happy about me having to spend time and money going back to the airport to get it myself since your company was unable to deliver it to me. I expect full compensation"

Nadelen: "It was ok flight - not full airplane - good"
Nadelen: "The connecting flight was an hour late. We set inside the plane all this time while the crew could not decide what to do with luggage of a passenger who never showed up. The luggage was being removed and put back -and repeat several more time of the same- for a bit more than an hour. When we finally took off, there was an unpleasant surprise - we had to purchase our food. I had never had this experience before that we would not be offered food on a connecting flight and obviously was not prepared. Not only there was not food, or even a tiny snack offered, one had to buy mere water. Overall, very disappointed. BTW, our flight was not even on display anywhere at the Brussels airport, wrong gates were shown in our tickets and we almost missed boarding..."
Nadelen: "Brusels airlines left and arrived with 40 min delay for a flight that should be only 1:50 hour"
Voordelen: "Flight was canceled and I believe it was canceled before I got on the flight in New York. They should have told me that the second leg was canceled. I suspect they knew that because I was not issued a boarding pass for the second leg when I checked in at New York."
Voordelen: "Accepted a little bit extra wight with no charge and easy boarding and good times"
Voordelen: "Flight was comfortable. There was no food offered, only water or orange. The flight was so short -- less than an hour, one wouldn't expect more so for food and entertainment there should have been a n/a column."
Nadelen: "None told me that this flight is low budget. Food and all drinks only for money. It was very bad for part of transatlantic flight."

It was if they did not bother to clean the aircraft before on arising the flight to Accra. The food was repeated from the outbound flight."

Nadelen: "Une demi heure de retard.. comme d'habitude. Mais les prestations habituelles étaient cependant au rendez-vous. Tout se paie chez Ryanair. 35 euros de bagages à payer une fois à l'aéroport. En effet impossible de se connecter en ligne sur l'espace privé ryanair 48 heures avant pour ajouter un bagage. Bien décevant. Nous avons été contraints de prendre une très grosse marge de sécurité pour l'aéroport.. 3h30 au lieu de 2h. En effet, le standard par téléphone nous a gentiment expliqué qu'il était impossible d'ajouter des bagages à moins de deux heures de l'heure du vol."

Nadelen: "Chez Ryanair tout se paie : les bagages, les sièges, l'impression de ses billets..50 euro par billet pour faire l'enregistrement à leroprt . Personnel pas hyper professionnel, retard à l'embarquement, c'est la première et la dernière fois"

Nadelen: "Le retard du départ (lié à l'arrivée d'un autre vol). En revanche, arrivés à Toulouse, un problème du service sur place incapable de mettre l'escalier pour sortir de l'avion à l'heure."

Nadelen: "Nous avons payé le tarif d'une compagnie classique pour un service minablement soit 700€ pour un aller retour à deux Paris vatry / Marrakech avec du retard et aucun confort ."
Nadelen: "Awful experience. Could not print boarding passes online and tried to pull them up at the airport, but there was no internet connection. Staff was incredibly rude and tried to make us pay $50 to print on site. Finally downloaded the passes (which, by the way, we had to obtain at least 24 hrs in advance - an easy email to miss). "Priority boarding" (also paid extra for) was a joke. Everyone had to get on a bus to arrive at the plane, and no order was kept, so it was basically a free-for-all to board the plane (lots of flying elbows). As a result, the overhead space by our seats (second row) was filled and we had to put our bags much further back (again defeating the purpose of "priority boarding"). Upon arrival to our destination, there was zero indication that our checked bag would be at completely different terminal. It took going through lost and found and 2 information folks to find the correct baggage claim area (and another go through security). All in all, a terrible experience. Not worth the extra $$ we may have saved. AVOID!!!"
Nadelen: "Horrible attitude of staff, poor service, so many hidden fees, delayed flight"
Nadelen: "I was charged 55 Euros for the same luggage accepted from Rome to Palermo by Ryanair. The door man was determined to overcharge me no matter what.Since the flight was max, half the suitcases where shipped direct so his overcharge didn't matter.I am Italian/American and I was singled out and U will never fly Ryanair again.You get me one time and I get you 10 times. That one suitcase was more than half the cost of the flight. I do not like being ripped off. You should be ashamed of your strong armed tactics. Not Happy Sam Morreale."
Voordelen: "Nous étions deux, tout c'est très bien déroulé nous sommes passés par internet, vu le prix des billets : 30€ aller retour Bordeaux Édimbourg, par personne de samedi à mardi ( alors oui le retour tôt le matin mais on est matinal) . Deux sac à dos type randonnée en petit format considéré comme bagage à main et un en valise au dimension exigée donc pas de supplément en soute. Deux heures d'avion où nous n'avons pas consommé donc pas de supplément. Départ à l'heure, arrivée 10min à l'avance à l'aller et au retour. Du coup nickel pour ce mode de voyage."
Nadelen: "C'est pas que j'ai pas aimé et je ne me permettrai pas de râler vu le prix, mais je préfèrerais informer les gens pour ceux qui ne savent pas que c'est une compagnie low cost, effectivement les sièges sont pas très confortables, il n'y a pas vraiment de place, on sent pas mal les vibrations de l'avion c'est pas rassurant ect. Ceci dit on est bien vivante :)"
Nadelen: "Ryanair doesn't explain that boarding passes must be printed and that the phone pass is not ok. So upon arrival at the airport I am forced to pay Ryanair 15 euro to get a print copy. Ridiculous!! This information should be clear to the traveler on the website. It appears to be a cash grab on their part."
Nadelen: "Walked almost 20mn in rain to get to the plane"
Voordelen: "La ponctualité heureusement, sinon cela aurait été une totale déception ! À l'ère du low cost, on sent vraiment qu'avec Ryanair on a définitivement quitté le glamour de l'aviation."
Nadelen: "Entassés comme du bétail pendant l'embarquement, puis assis dans des sièges étroits avec un pitch inhumain (espace entre les sièges). Le prix de base semblait correct, puis vinrent les surprises... 25€ pour 1 bagage, mais le pire.... si vous n'imprimez pas votre carte d'embarquement au préalable ou ne téléchargez pas l'application de la compagnie, il vous sera demandé 45€ supplémentaires au checkin!! Un scandale!! Ryanair, been there, done that, never again!"
Nadelen: "We had a 5 hour delay and were given absolutely no information. No one came to tell us what was going on, and we had to run all over the airport to find someone who worked for Ryanair to try to find help. Even when we finally located the "customer service" desk, they had no idea what was going on and were unable to help us. All they could offer was a "lunch voucher" but they sent us to the wrong café, which didn't know what we were talking about. Beyond this, the hassle of trying to figure out how much your luggage weighs while you are traveling (we had no access to a scale) isn't worth it. Would NEVER fly this airline again."

Nadelen: "The comfort of the plane, it was over crowded with no air on the plane. Getting on and off the plane took entirely way to long."

Nadelen: "Why do you have to go to one counter to pay for your checked bag then another to actually check it in? Flight was delayed. Flight was full so I had to check my carry on bag. Took way longer overall than expected and costs more than expected"

Voordelen: "I liked that it got me where I wanted to go. The staff was nice."
Nadelen: "I had to jump through hoops to print a boarding pass even though I had Ryanairs app with a mobile boarding pass. 3 hours of my Sat and Sunday in Barcelona were spent searching for an open copy/print shop. Would have been nice to know more than 48 hours before my flight. I get to the airport after not finding a print shop, expecting to pay through the nose for them to print the tickets for me and they say I didn't even need it. They supply the boarding pass. Wow. The boarding is a joke. They don't board in zones, so the line was literally 180 people long. I wasn't even in the back of the line and it still bothered me. Now let's get to the plane, again, staff and pilot were great. The seats have NO leg room. I have long legs and it was miserable. No seat back pocket to put things. No recline on the seats. The aisle way sagged everytime someone walked past me, leaning my seat toward the aisle. I know, I know, you get what you pay for. This flight I paid for a lesson. That lesson being never never never ever ever ever fly Ryanair again. I would gladly pay a little more money to save my poor knees from being in that position again."
Nadelen: "My 81 year old father was asked at the final hour to measure his carry on luggage right before loading the bus on the tarmac to take us to the plane. They had already looked at it at check in. They pulled him out of line after he handed over his passport and then told him they were going to charge him for his carryon because it was too big. He place it in the measuring device and it fit so it was not too big. They ended up not charging him but the experience was very unpleasant."
Nadelen: "Tout est à nos frais malgré que ce vol est low-cost je m'attendais à mieux"
Voordelen: "Good value for the money. Quick check in and good seating order."
Nadelen: "The seats don't recline and the arms are hard plastic so it was an uncomfortable flight."
Voordelen: "We traveled as group (5 people) and the weight of our luggage differed. The Ryanair checkin person helped us quite a bit."
Nadelen: "The only way to describe the comfort on the flight was spartan."
Voordelen: "Was pleasantly surprised by their efficiency and comfort/leg room on plane. Plenty of carry on overhead space and good meal options for purchase."
Nadelen: "There was no moment of silence. The crew was busy promoting their merchandise - perfumes and make up, and one sturdiest keep talking on the speakers about the wonderful quality of what ever he was selling. It was a terrible flight and we finished with a headache. Besides, we were charged highly for the suitcases, being a party of 4 (parents with 2 kids) with 2 suitcases 25 kg each. shouod have bought another bag for the kids.."
Voordelen: "They wouldn't let me carry on my beach umbrella, not cool. Otherwise fine."
Nadelen: "Pas de personnel qui parle en français et manque une indication du temps de route restant"
Nadelen: "Too much advertising"
Nadelen: "all expensive and all separate payments for everything. I think was not fair to charge me for checking in charges for about a minute or 2 due to a slow system at the airport when printing boarding pass. Other bad experience was very uncomfortable seats on the plane overall. In general just do much charges for everything."
Nadelen: "We could not pay for our luggage at the check-in counter and had to go to the ticketing counter which was in a different part of the airport."
Voordelen: "Crew was nice. Great landing. Took off a half hour late but landed only seven minutes late. Not bad at all!!"
Nadelen: "The arriving plane was late, which is understandable and not an issue. However the airport boarding crew insisted on boarding us even though the plane wasn't at the gate yet. We all stood in a hot gangway, then stood on a stairwell to the tarmack (again without air conditioning) while the crew cleaned the plane. During this time, people who didn't pay for priority seating were making their way to the front of the lines that caused some pushing and was unfair to my wife and I who paid for priority seating. That whole process should have been handled better."
Nadelen: "Line in the airport disorganized ; had to pay for boarding passes last minute; had to pay for water in plane; didn't take credit cards in plane"
Nadelen: "My flight was canceled an hour before departure. Then the line to talk to a representative about cancelled flights took 6 HOURS becuase they only had 2/6 of their representatives helping. The next flight they were offering was five days later so I had to book on a different airline and now I have to go through the whole complaint process to get my compensation."
