This was not so much an issue but the man said he would have my bag sent to my seat and I was subsequently approached by a crew member who asked for my receipt. Which he was holding in his hand. I would have thought it would be quite easy to confirm the person without them having the receipt as the their name and seat number is on the receipt but he had to go back and check if it was okay. - Found it hard to sleep on the overnight flight due to uncomfortable seats. Would probably not be an issue in upper class. - No comment on entertainment as did not use it."

Eventually got transferred to Air NZ 777.Great flight .... would never use Virgin again. AKL/MEL FLIGHT 13/7 CHANGED FROM 6:30 TO 7:50 TO 8:10. No advice. Online system down. Unable to get updated status. 20mins call to Philippines. No apologies.Ended up on an A330 800 .No USB points. Got a seat, but everything from cushions to Coke had to be paid extra. At be slightly cheaper, but no better than Tiger"

Nadelen: "I did not like the fact that my seat was between 2 small children that belonged to a family sitting behind me .It was ridiculous to put a stranger on a 10 hour flight with a 3yrar old on one side and a 5 year old on the other"

Nadelen: "Very strange boarding. They got us through the boarding process but then made us all wait in the bridge because the plane wasn’t ready. So now you have a plane load of people all crammed into the bridge. Very poor."

Nadelen: "No option to book food option 24 hours before as could check in could not been done earlier than 24 hours before flight. I logged exactly 24 hrs before filled in details which took a few minutes by that time said too late to book special meal."

Voordelen: "Quite a big choice of movies and TV shows to watch, more than enough for an eight hour flight. Normal headphone plugs so you can use your own."
Nadelen: "I booked together with my wife, yet we were allocated seats apart and were not able to be reassigned together. The leg room was so tight that I could not pick up things off the floor without putting my head in the next persons lap. Though the cabin crew were smiley and friendly, it was hard to get their attention when needed. The PA system is much louder than the entertainment, so announcements were ear bursting. The dinner selections ran out early, so a good proportion did not get their choice."

We were told an infant is difficult in their system, and our dual national daughter was another layer of complication."

Nadelen: "During my flight from LAX to LHR I requested (pre-booked) a special meal (Asian Vegetarian). During the flight I was told there was no such request in their records and therefore I had to stay hungry for the entire duration of the flight. During my return flight from LHR to LAX the in flight entertainment system for my seat was not functional. I requested it to be reset several times and in spite of the hostess resetting it several times, it did not function. I had to stay without an entertainment system during the entire flight. This was my first time travel with Virgin Atlantic. I may never fly Virgin Atlantic again."

Voordelen: "My first time flying to Europe! I love the service from the attendants but my seat mate made it uncomfortable to seat in my seat. Overall great experience"

Nadelen: "The regular seats were so lacking in leg room that I could not cross my legs, reach the floor to get my glasses when I dropped them, or even get my carry-on out. There is no way to get into the "brace for impact position" with arms over your head and head in your lap! This is really unsafe, not to mention really uncomfortable. The flight was long, so comfort would be nice! Our first flight was regular seats and I was pretty miserable and I am a slender woman 5'6". The extra 3" was great, and we had to pay more on the return trip. The FAA should be investigating seat size and safety on planes."

Nadelen: "The 787 has vastly inadequate Economy toilets - ONLY 4! For 200 passengers. Inadequate lighting for,boarding, unable to activate reading lights until AFTER TAKEOFF = groping in semi darkness, BAD! No window blinds = woken up by blazing sun in middle of 11 hr night flight, even with sleeping pills my sleep was wrecked, even with eyemask. Passengers penned in on narrow aisles by trolleys, unable to walk around plane & risk of DVT. Passengers disempowered by restricted space, lighting, mobility. I want more control over my personal mobility &, lighting. Horrible headsets (bring my own). This flight departed 2.5 HRs LATE from JHB & the crew & cavin service was SLOW. NO requested second cup of tea brought - I waited 20 mins & climbed over trolleys to get another one, even though it was requested of cabin crew. Do they just ignore us? Or forget?"

Nadelen: "There was nothing to like, attendants were rude, seating was horrible, No room, no snacks, counter persons were even worse, tried to contact virgin australia over 12 times for booking confirm and itinerary, no replies ever, none from HQ in Brisbane. Virgin has NO customer service whatsoever, all they want is to take your money online and do nothing for paying customers. "Paying Customer", remember who we are??? The ones that pay for the worst service in the world. Well done Richard Branson!!"

Nadelen: "They tried checking my carryon luggage because they said it was overweight and it would be $130. This is absurd, especially since it isn't going to change in weight by getting checked. I refused to pay this amount. The flight was also 3 hours delayed, almost missed my connection back to the states from SYD. Other international flights offer free meal service, you were lucky if you got water on this flight and had to pay for any snacks."

The 747 fleet is starting to feel old - when are the dream liners coming?"

Nadelen: "This VS007 flight is in an old Airbus that needs a major overhaul, especially compared to newer planes in their fleet. The screens are hardly visible, the movie selection more limited, the seats old, and no electrical outlets for a 11hr flight is just not acceptable these days!"

Voordelen: "Je suis allergique à la moutarde et aux à l’avance d’en faire part sur le site d’enregistrement. J’ai tenté d’appeler mais après avoir perdu 20 minutes j’ai abandonné. Conséquence j’ai mangé un bout de pain et une barre tendre! De plus, le personnel était plus ou moins compréhensif et accomodant."

Conduite lamentable."

Nadelen: "Retard de l'avion ( 3-4 vols différents). Perte de mes bagages qui à entraîner un déplacement pour rien à l'étranger pour le travail vu que je n'avais pas le matériel de travail avec moi. Nous faire monter dans l'avion, rouler sur le tarmac, après 30 min de prise de retard sur le départ, nous annoncer qu'on retourner à l'aéroport et qu'il fallait changer d'avion pour problèmes techniques. Pour nous annuler complètement Le vol! Nous faire descendre de l'avion, devoir aller se trouver un autre vol, aller recuperer la valise, retourner l'enregistrer, et retourner à la sécurité tous ça avec une amabilité digne de la froideur allemande! Auncuns repas ou autre bois a été offert au moin pour s'excuser. Après avoir eu tous ces problèmes avec la même compagnie j'ai contacter à plusieurs reprises le service client qui m'a raccrocher au nez! On m'a dit qu'on me remboursait Le vol. Je n'ai jamais eu de nouvelles."

Voordelen: "Entertainment, crew, and service were great. Captain announced kept us updated and the flight was smoothe sailing."
Nadelen: "No room to move at all. I had an aisle seat and almost everyone bumped into me when walking by. The guy In Front of me reclined his seat and banged into my knees for 4 hours. If the inside person wanted out, we had to grab our belongings, unbuckle, and move completely into the aisle to let him out. Then do it all over again when he returned. Rediculously tight on space."

Nadelen: "Gate changed 4 times. Boarded 2 hours late and sat on.plane for maintenance. Not cool."

Voordelen: "staff was nice, but check-in is clumsy and inefficient"
Nadelen: "plane from Prague to Philly is ancient, still has the drop-down screens from 1981 and the radio station dial for listening in, but that didn't even matter as the video system was down for half the flight. No electrical charging capability unless you carry a car adapter with you. Overhead space was tiny. At least they had headrests, which is weird since the seats are obviously 30+ years old. Business class and first have been upgraded with new features."

Nadelen: "Boarded the flight before the pilot had been brought over to JFK from LGA, we sat on the jetway waiting for him to arrive for 45 minutes without the air on."

Nadelen: "Just an observation, as soon as the plane stops and the fasten seatbelt sign turns off, the first people to stand are all the older white men on the flight. Never noticed that before but I'm sure it's true on most flights. Check your privilege."

Voordelen: "TB honestly I can’t say I liked anything about this particular flight. So nothing."
Nadelen: "My flight was delayed by two hours leaving Fort Lauderdale. As a result of that delay I miss my connecting flight to Palm Springs. I was rebooked for a flight to smile Palm Springs the next day which I did not except. Then I was booked to leave Dallas to Los Angeles that flight was delayed also. To make matters worse my bags ended up in LA when they were supposed to be route it all the way to Palm Springs. I still don’t have my bags yet. Called three times and the representatives cannot reassure me of my bags on the way."

Voordelen: "Made it safely."
Nadelen: "Getting my phone blown up all day about delays on my two flights. Then sitting on the tarmac in the plane while the ground crew moved equipment around. Were they surprised a plane was coming in?"

Voordelen: "I liked that we were given cookies with our drinks that was a nice touch. I also enjoyed that it was a very quick flight from Dallas to Cincinnati. Shout out to the crew members, they work really hard to help us feel comfortable."
Nadelen: "The sound of the turbo engine in the beginning made my head feel really dizzy, but the buzzing went away after a while. Other than that, I think that the tiny planes should still have some sort of entertainment, even if it's just a single movie playing for all to watch."

Nadelen: "Qantas would not let me upgrade at 24 hours into Business Class. They wanted me to buy a whole new ticket. All other international flights I take allow me to pay for an upgrade within 24 hours of the flight for around $2000."

Nadelen: "planes were really old and uncomfortable, I could not sleep at all, the seats are ridiculously small and not fit for a grown up. One of the worst flights ever for sure"

Voordelen: "The crew seemed to be as frustrated as we were."
Nadelen: "The flight was delayed, then we had technical difficulties, the cabin was 90 degrees. It was awful."

Voordelen: "I flew coach for the first time in a year, and I was shocked at how poor the service was. Additionally, the aircraft was not maintained: broken sinks in the bathroom / most of the video entertainment was broken in Premium Economy Class. I had to cross the Atlantic for 9 hours with no movies to distract me. I'm shocked that the business class crew still treat coach passengers with disrespect as if they are second class citizens."

Nadelen: "AA flight crew very poor and not helpful, I saw one of the flight crew almost fight with a customer over a baby crib. As per my experience I had a nice travel suit that I took off and flught attendant did not offer help. I have to store on floor."

Voordelen: "Our flight was delayed overnight in Las Vegas, which was hassle but unavoidable due to weather and pilot flight hours restrictions. But the ground crew and American Airlines worked very hard to compensate all the passengers: gave us each a voucher for hotel, 2 meals, round trip shuttle ride for hotel and airport. Good work to make up for a bad situation."

Voordelen: "The friendly flight attendant."
Nadelen: "The flight was late boarding and leaving Dallas but we arrived on time. And the plane is very narrow. Two ladies with hips sitting next to each other can be uncomfortable."

Voordelen: "Crew was excellent but it was literally the most uncomfortable plane ride I have ever been. There was even an empty seat in the middle and I couldn't sleep at all. The seats were super shOrr and the headrests sucked"

Nadelen: "The flight out of Dallas was delayed. We hustled to our last gate and the person was incredibly rude about last call a d is just arriving to the gate..."

Voordelen: "The gentleman at the departure desk was first rate. Polite and accommodating he was just what you would expect from an airline. Especially American Airlines. The crew was the same and I was happy to have decided to use AA."
Nadelen: "The departure was delayed approximately an hour."

Voordelen: "The flight attendants were great. I was also surprised that they gave out pretzels and soda for free. Other airlines advertise cheaper flight but nickel and dime you to death. The plane was very clean"

Voordelen: "Normally I've been on planes where the seats aren't that great! But these seats were wonderful! :) I was out like a baby!"
Nadelen: "I don't really like the complimentary pretzels."

Voordelen: "Boarding was smooth. Flight was on time. Some weather en route but pilot was able to avoid the turbulence. Overall a good flight."
Nadelen: "Unrelated to the flight- but immigration and customs in Grand Cayman was slow. 200+ people arrived on this plane and there ware 4 immigration agents although they had more stations. We spent about a half hour in line in each- immigration and then customs. Rental cars is another situation to be aware of regarding insurance."

Voordelen: "The flight attendants were so nice. They were genuinely kind and helpful to the passengers."
Nadelen: "The overhead bins are small"

Voordelen: "The flight was fine - once I was on it."
Nadelen: "Thanks to weather (what weather?), the Friday 8 flight was canceled. My only chance to get to Cincinnati "on time" was to take a 6am two-part flight from Newark via Charlotte, arriving in Cincinnati at 1pm. All around the American Airlines section you could hear people say that flights had been canceled like this all week. I did not have time in Cincinnati to do half the things I wanted to do, and I had so little sleep on Friday night that I had to spend too much of my first Cincinnati night in bed trying to catch up with lost sleep, Thanks, American! This was to have been the head-clearing out-of-town break I sorely needed after a period of over-intense work."

Nadelen: "American cancelled the flight and left me stranded"

Voordelen: "Not 1 thing of it!"
Nadelen: "No plugs no tv no good food for a long flight."

Voordelen: "Roomy & comfortable seating for such a small aircraft"
Nadelen: "Late boarding, over an hour"

Voordelen: "On m'a fait raté mon vol et pour impossible de trouver un interlocuteur. TRES DECU!!!"

Voordelen: "Nothing"
Nadelen: "Everything went wrong. The flight arrived 40 minutes late and I missed my connecting flight because they closed the gate before I could get there. As a result, when I asked both airlines involved (Brussels Air and Portugal Air (TAP) what to do, each airline blamed the other airline for the problem and each said it was my problem to fix. After speaking with ten people and begging them to make the problem right for a problem I did not create, they finally issued me a new ticket but I had to wait 24 hours for the new flight to leave. It was a total breakdown in communication and organization and customer support and problem resolution on the part of the airlines and the airport. I never want to fly these airlines again and never want to take a flight with connections."

Nadelen: "Je n'ai jamais reçu un service de ce genre avec aucune compagnie dans le passé. Avec plus de 50 vols à mon actif dans les 5 dernières année, jamais je n'ai vécu cela. Je travaille dans le tourisme et vous pouvez être certain que je déconseillerai votre compagnie dans le futur à tous mes clients et clientes. Le personnel à bord n'étais pas courtois du tout, aux portes d'embarquement et ainsi qu'au service à la clientèle de votre compagnie. Je n'arrive pas à comprendre d'où vient votre réputation exemplaire après avoir vécu cette expérience. Votre responsable de l'aéroport Pearson International de Toronto a été audieuse et n'a pas été à l'écoute du tout lors de notre rencontre. Avec plus de 2500$ dépensé pour un aller-retour Paris/Montréal et ce genre de service en retour j'attendais un minimum de considération venant d'une compagnie digne de votre renommée. Mon conjoint est médecin et vous n'avez pas l'air de réaliser ce que réalise ce genre de situation. Nous étions à temps à la porte et on nous a tout simplement refusé l'accès. Aucune solution possible peu importe ce que nous demandions. Aucune possibilitée d'avoir un vol plus tôt ou simplement de faire livrer bagages à notre domicile. Seulement l'interdiction d'entrer dans l'avion que nous avions choisi et ce avec des raisons valables vue le métier de mon conjoint. Je ne comprends pas pourquoi cela nous retombe sur nous, nous devons payer des dépenses supplémentaires afin de rentrer à temps, alors que sur internet lors de la réservation la correspondance était prévue, et qu'on nous a assuré que les bagages auraient le temps de suivre à Paris. J'espère grandement que vous allez considérer ce message et que vous allez faire quelque chose autre qu'un courriel d'excuse."

Cela m'a valu presque 2 heures de téléphone avec Air Canada (0.15 euro la minute). Et puis au comptoir d'enregistrement, nouveau gros problème, celui-là très grave à mon sens. L'agent de comptoir m'a dit que je n'avais pas d'ESTA, donc que je ne pouvais pas partir, alors que j'en avais un. En pleine panique, j'ai appelé ma mère qui heureusement a retrouvé en 5 minutes dans son ordinateur mon numéro d'ESTA. Cela m'a causé une très grosse frayeur, car c'était presque le moment de la fermeture de l'enregistrement, et m'a vraiment gâché le voyage. Je me plains donc franchement du manque de gentillesse et de la qualité du service de l'agent de comptoir. Je précise que j'étais en billet retour, donc il aurait été facile à l'egent de penser que j'avais un ESTA puisque j'avais fait escale à Chicago aussi à l'aller."
