There were none on either flight. To make matters worse, when my tablet and phone batteries both died before the end of the first flight, there was no inflight entertainment, other than 1 ridiculous thing available, on either flight. American has switched to BYOD for entertainment, but forgot to provide a way to charge our own devices. Incredibly stupid."
Nadelen: "On top of that, one of the flight attendants on the Philadelphia to Lisbon run was a hella snarky guy with a bad attitude all the way through. I would be surprised if I am the first person to complain about him."

Nadelen: "AC was aware of flight delay due to computer system failure which caused missed flight connections for passengers and yet there was only one customer service rep at the counter in the Toronto Pearson airport to provide directions to stranded and confused passengers when AC1621 landed at 12:30pm on March 13 from Fort Lauderdale. After waiting in line at customer service for more than an hour, I was told I was booked for 9am flight the next day. I was with 2 kids, no options were explained about an overnight stay. The rep put me on standby and said they were flights every hour and told me to wait for next flight. Again no further explanations about standby, I was going from one gate to the next for 3 hours and I wasn't called. When I asked the agent, she asked me to wait. Finally a fellow passenger told me to check with agent at the next gate. That agent found out the cs rep put my family on standby but put a Nonexisting flight #202. So I was never called. I didn't pay money to get this kind of poor service. All I wanted was the basics, get me home without confusion. What a shame Air Canada! Our national pride is on the line. It should be named Air Nada cause no cs whatsoever. Bad management is to blame. Train your staff and hire qualified people to handle tech dept. We have no control over weather but tech backup is worth investing to prevent tech system issues."

Nadelen: "The crew were nice but lazy. Whenever someone called them through the chair system they just ignore the call. After a few time I tried to call them I just went to their area to ask things."
Voordelen: "Food was good. Flight staff was pleasant."
Nadelen: "Boarding took forever. There was a child that screamed the entire way. Wish flight staff was trained on calming children, even though I know it was just bad planning on the parents. Also wish there was a hygiene policy. Half the flight was not wearing deodorant, and you could tell."
Nadelen: "I did not make this flight. Instead was re-routed and spent 12 hours overnight in the Vancouver airport before getting to fly to Portland, without my luggage that was left behind in Toronto."
Voordelen: "The young kids really enjoyed the multi-player video games that were offered on the plane. The windows were really cool too! The amount of light/color coming from the windows were adjustable with the press of a button. It was the first flight for the younger kids, and they loved it!"

We were almost 4 hours late due to no crew or pilots. This is my last time flying with Air Canada. Way to much stress for people who have so much stress in there everyday lives. This should be a no stress way to fly. Just sayin"

Nadelen: "The plane was old and looked like it was going to fall apart. My seat was torn and the back of the seat in front of me was broken. Not my favorite airline by far."

Nadelen: "I was held aside at the customs area and had a difficult time figuring out what was going on. Signage was less than helpful, and staff were unaware of why I was being held. After over 30 minutes during which the gate staff could only tell me to wait and watch for my initials on the electronic board, the staff learned that some bags on my arrival flight had been accidentally diverted to Canadian customs rather than US customs, and passengers could not proceed to connecting flights until our bags were located. The customer service staff then worked very hard on our problem. I was instructed to re-book my flight, since by now the doors were about to close - but that customer service person could not re-book me, and I had to queue up again for another agent. When I got to the desk, that agent was able to get me approved to board my flight sans bag, ran me to the front of the Immigration line, and got me to my gate in time to board. I deeply appreciate her assistance, as my family was already on the plane."
Voordelen: "Plane left on time, smooth flight, arrived on schedule."
Nadelen: "1. Food very substandard. Hot food not very well prepared and rather tasteless, and snack was like a cardboard wrap with some salsa sauce in it. A disgrace to a major airline like Air Canada. Selection of drinks very limited. 2, Staff persisted in speaking mostly French, on an international flight. Some announcements were made only in French. As a Canadian, I can follow French, but let us remember that English is the international language. To use French is not fair to other nationalities, who expect English. 3. Seats far too close together for a long flight. There was more legroom on the Jazz flight from Montreal to Ottawa! 4. Entertainment kept breaking down. Headphones for my wife did not work, and eventually both of our screens went dead. Her's quit right in the middle of a movie. Bad!! 5. Boarding passes had zones on them, but these were totally disregarded in boarding. This resulted on overcrowding, long waits, etc. Hard on older people!"
Voordelen: "Great free movie selection to watch on the flight!"
Nadelen: "The crew and gate check-in assistance is mediocre. Their attitude is one of indifference. This group is probably just a little better Spirit Airlines, which I consider the worst airline I have ever flown on. Also, I had to pay exorbitant flight change fees. These flight changes should be free. If I have the option, I will not use Air Canada in the future."
Nadelen: "I missed the flight"
Nadelen: "My luggage is lost and I still don't have it!"
Voordelen: "At $320usd per person per direction, you can't beat the price thanks to whatever magical gremlins Kayaks employs to fix prices for them...we flew Air Canada and we'e very pleased with their fleets new addition of 787 dream liners. Do yourself a favor and find a flight on this aircraft. From takeoff to landing, there was never a question about our safety and comfort, and the sleek, organic aesthetic of the dream liner somehow met a new standard for both ergonomy and tech/entertainment. I especially found the sub ports in my personal screen useful."
Nadelen: "Transatlantic flights are too long. Hurry up Science, magic me up some low earth orbit/sonic+ future jets already...Jaesus..."

Voordelen: "We got to our destination safely and on time."
Nadelen: "No entertainment system. Seriously? No TVs for an international flight?? They should at least tell you that in advance so you can download movies and bring your chargers. We didn't get drink service until about 2 hours into the flight. Terrible. Food was boring and bad. Finally- we had to pay for wine and beer. On a $1000 flight? I have traveled internationally at least 15 times and this was by far the worst flight yet."

Voordelen: "Air Canada does it all well. There is a strong sense that every piece o the process has been checked and double checked. Good value for money. Great selection of entertainment."
Nadelen: "In economy, the seats are small. Sigh. And the breakfast sausage was white. But otherwise, all good."
Nadelen: "5 hour delay. Didn't get the correct seat."
Voordelen: "Great food and they gave us blankets and even free wine with dinner! I was also able to watch to new movies!"
Voordelen: "We were very impressed with Air Canada and would highly recommend flying with them to any destination!"
Nadelen: "Organized, friendly, polite staff. Everything ran very smoothly, especially the actual flight."

Nadelen: "The crew was really rude, didn't respond to the call light, and took 2.5 hours to present headphones to everyone. I thought they were joking when they brought out a third of a sandwich for the "snack"."

Nadelen: "1. I ordered kosher meal, and we haven't because it finished. 2. The flight was full I couldn't findo a sit with my kids. I sit separately."

What's the point of giving me a boarding pass in Tel Aviv if I need to go to the United transfer counter in Brussels and go through the process again, including a TSA (friendly) interrogation?"

Nadelen: "Even though I have an account with United, and confirmed that I was a vegetarian both online, and on the flight heading to Europe, my meal wasn't entered. It worked out really well because I was sitting close to the front and they had pasta dishes available, but this is not the first time that United and its partners have "lost" or "mishandled" my vegetarian registration. The flight attendant even remarked that sadly, she hears this 'complaint' constantly. The food was good, but there's no reason that my meal request can't stay in the system."

Nadelen: "Engine noise made safety instruction and pilots commentary incomprehensible. Plane was equipped with wifi, BUT you needed to download an app to get access - which is a catch 22. Couldn't download the app because I needed wifi access, which I couldn't get without the app!"
Nadelen: "I chose Luthansa because I was traveling with a bike and they are usually good about not overcharging however after booking the flight, United took over the flight and they have very unfriendly bike policies (200 each way). Usually I will not fly United because of these policies, I think I am done flying any Star Alliance companies."
Nadelen: "This was a mess as the attendants didn't not have my transfer ticket It took them for ever till the last minute when was called by the Microphone"

Nadelen: "No request was made for the outbound flight which I want to comment about. At Dulles Airport, I checked in at the Brussels Airline counter, only to be told that since I was on a flight operated by United, then I had to go to the United Airlines counter to check in. At UA, I was handed a boarding pass which advised that my seat will be assigned at the gate. I saw on the monitor where the available seats were-1 window, the remainder middle row. I got the feeling that since I bought a ticket which cost less than what the other United Airlines customers paid for, then I was being relegated to seats that the other travelers didn't desire."
Voordelen: "Helpful crew when I told them that my right leg was causing me severe pain. I asked them to order a wheel chair for me when the plane landed They did so right away."
Nadelen: "The DVD player at my seat did not work. I was the last one to leave the plane, with the help of some crew members; but no wheelchair was waiting for me. A staff called but was told that no such an order was received and no one was then available to bring me a wheel chair. Later someone in the Cleaning crew made a couple of calls and finally ,10 to 15 minutes later, a wheelchair arrived."
Nadelen: "People were not told where to get their transfer boarding passes until last minute. Security check of "random" passengers was overboard. I wasn't one of the passengers who had to undergo the extra security at the gate, but felt bad for those who did. Completely unnecessary.."
Nadelen: "A 1 hour delay in Brussels, combined with the complexity that is Dulles resulted our missing our connecting flight. The United employee who rebooked us for the late-night flight five hours later put my wife and me on separate rows, requiring a second wait in the lengthening lines to sort out. Avoid Dulles. Avoid United."
Voordelen: "One of the crew members was friendly."
Nadelen: "Literally everything else. Customer service was worse than Comcast's. Luggage was lost and has yet to be found even though I was promised multiple times that it would be taken care of. Will never fly United again."
