Nadelen: "I booked tickets via Delta, operated by KLM. They lost both of my check in bags in September, and it happened again today for the same scheduled flights. Had 4 hours of layover and KLM still wasn’t able to manage it."

Voordelen: "The flight started with a visit in the recently renovated KLM crown lounge in Amsterdam airport. I liked the various seating options and of course the upstairs bar. The service on board was attentive and efficient, the food options I really liked (especially the Chinese dish) but also the little touches like the nuts & gouda cheese which were served in small porcelain bowls. The seat itself was very comfortable when sitting and the structure gives a lot of privacy. However for couples or friends travelling it's a bit cumbersome to have a conversation even when sitting in seats next to each other. Overall my expectations were fulfilled."
Nadelen: "This seat is not ideal for sleeping for taller persons (I'm 185cm tall) as the space to put the feet is very narrow and it's uncomfortable when lying on the back (as one cannot put them in the natural resting position). Cabin temperature could have been a bit lower for my taste. Crew needs better training with regards to transfer procedure in Chengdu."

Voordelen: "Seat 39A did not recline. The gentleman next to me spread his arms out a bit as he typed on his computer the entire way. So I did not get ANY sleep. Plus he got up at least four times."

Nadelen: "infotainment was down. Lost my luggage the flight was delayed"

Voordelen: "The aircraft felt clean and quite spacious (decent legroom). Cabin crew was friendly and everything went as expected. Bonus points for the Beemster cheese sandwich (I was totally disappointed when they served the food, but more than pleasantly surprised by the quality of the cheese - I even bought some afterwards, from the Albert Heijn just outside the security area)."
Nadelen: "Very odd queue separation at boarding. Passengers were divided in 5 lanes, depending on their seating area withing the plane (for a more efficient boarding, I presume) but, by the time we all got to the actual aircraft, we formed another queue in the boarding bridge so it didn't feel like any time was saved or anything."

Voordelen: "Nothing really"
Nadelen: "Flew KLM 27 years ago and the airlines seem to be stuck in the same era. Food is poor quality... Have you recently checked the Gulf carriers."

Nadelen: "The boarding area was total chaos. In order to get to the gate I had to literally fight with the 100s of people who were waiting in the same area. No priority was given to family with children or elite members. Even when we complaint at the personnel we were told that “it was busy”. Usually KLM flight from Venice depart from the first floor where gates are bigger and you get straight with the finger to the airplane. Today it hasn’t been the case .... too poor service for a KLM fight"

Nadelen: "Unaccompanied minor flying to Lisbon overnight. Bag was lost. No real effort to assist. Bags of unaccompanied minor should be treated with priority."

Nadelen: "the connection flights was the worse! The gate was changed in Amsterdam 3 times! From D82 to C6 and then to C11. The distance between B82 and C was 20-30 minutes walk. No rushing was needed though, the flight was delayed for 1:30h and after we all boarded a further delay was announced. I will never fly with KLM."

Nadelen: "The plane was very uncomfortable. The seats were small, you felt on top of the person next to you, and there was no leg room. I am a pretty small person- I can't image how uncomfortable all of the taller passengers must have been."

Voordelen: "Only thing we liked was the fact that we were able to get onto our flight at all..."
Nadelen: "Was not informed that checking in online is the only way to secure a seat. So, regardless of whether you book your tickets 3 months in advance or the day before, you're not actually guaranteed a seat unless you check in online. We weren't told this until we were at the airport and checked in there that we might not be able to get our pre-booked in advance flight because of over-booking from KLM. We then had to wait and see if there were seats available when boarding. Luckily, there were, but we were not sat together. Not the greatest start to our first holiday together as a couple. We were told that if there weren't seats available, they'd pay for us to get to another airport to fly out, which would have meant a huge delay on the only time off we'd get together this year and have to rearrange our pre-booked and pre-paid living arrangements for the week. All because there wasn't a lot of emphasis on the need to check in online before hand. You'd think if someone checked in at the airport, that would be more of a guarantee that they'd be flying with you that day, but apparently not. Definitely not impressed or happy with this part of the KLM experience. This is the only company that we've had this problem with, they should make it clearer that it is essential to check in online."

Nadelen: "The flight was marked at almost 11hrs but ended up being only 9...not a negative other than it meant not spending as much time on board!"

Voordelen: "In Toronto werd ik aangesproken door een dame van KLM met de vraag hoe ik reisde, alleen of in groepsverband etc. Zij gaf aan dat ik gebruik kon maken van de lounge en dat er hulp aanwezig was om bagage in te checken bij de self check-in. Uitermate vriendelijke en behulpzame dame. Tijdens de vlucht was er zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam cabinepersoneel beschikbaar."

Nadelen: "Per usual, KLM can't seem to figure out the order of boarding the plane. Should be business - priority - everyone else. Instead they do priority first, and that's usually two-thirds of the passengers. Strange choice of in-flight movies; no accounting for taste, I guess."

Nadelen: "Air France should not sell tickets for which the connection flights are almost impossible to catch. My luggage was not transferred to my connecting flight. I had to run to catch the flight to Bucharest. At CDC there were only two custom officers for checking passport of EU citizens, on a Saturday morning with hundreds and hundreds incoming travelers. On top of it, one female officer was rude. Typical french :("

Voordelen: "I've never been on a flight with such narrow seat and thin cushion. There was no entertainment offered for the almost 4 hour flight. There was no means of charging any electronic gears. The airplane seems to be 30 years behind time. Crew was unfriendly and smiling faces are not part of the uniform."

Nadelen: "TSA was sketchy and gave a FULL search, part down, etc. I kept asking and the excuse kept changing. Final excuse ridiculous! Flight attendant could have not treated my son as he way he did. I was unaware that the usb cord being inputted during taxiing As was my son. He was horrible to him!!"

Then they went out of their way to make the trip more enjoyable for us... even offering a drink of Champagne wine (the true one, not some substitute)... Departed almost on time, arrived a few minutes early..."

Nadelen: "The gate changed 3 times and the terminal was very crowded. The staff seemed disinterested and distracted. The quality of the food has dropped dramatically."

Nadelen: "We were transported to the plane which was quite some distance to the plane via bus after climbing down steep stairs from the departure gate area. Then we had to climb steep steps in extremely hot weather. We were then delayed for a hour in the plane in very hot conditions as the plane had its air conditioning off and the ground air conditioning was not put on. We were swearing in the heat for an hour!! We arrived at our destination and hour and half late!!"

Voordelen: "The stewardesses were extremely kind and helpful to me as I was travelling alone with my toddler. I really appreciated their help and kindness."

Nadelen: "Initially the flight from Lima was delayed for almost 1:30 and then we lost this connection then Airfrance rebooking to SAS they tell us to take all our luggage’s and check in again it’s was awful and really bad from then walk and spend time we suppose to be quite at home ... the worst was in SAS have ano system and for 1.5 kilos extras you might pay 33€ so after long day and wait, running everywhere with all my staff I see to eat a 11€ menu at the airport with not more explanation from Airfrance .. really bad and worst services.."

Voordelen: "I am a 70 year old woman with reduced mobility. The flight attendants made sure that I was given an aisle seat and they helped me find a seat with two empty ones next to me. The crew could not have been kinder."

Nadelen: "Temperature in AA cabins are 10 degrees or more colder than your competitors. Uncomfortably cold in AA flights. Recently I have flow, with spirit, Southwest, United, and Delta. In all those cases the cabin temperature was warmer than AA. I have to say as an exec plat, I wish AA would fix this issue. It is something that ER waiting rooms have adjusted and it has statistically shown to improve satisfaction scores."

Nadelen: "Delayed 1.5 hours each way for maintenance, did not allow us to switch seats to sit together previously at flight and the flight was very empty. Very uncomfortable seats. Will not fly AA again"

Voordelen: "The crew was very nice, and they gave us free sandwiches since the flight was so delayed. I really like how nice they were in greeting everyone and asking if you needed more drinks or food."
Nadelen: "Due to some kind of mechanical problems, the flight was delayed for over an hour. And also the gate changed several times, which was a little bit confusing for me."

Nadelen: "Nieuwe regels waarbij je je koffertje onder je stoel moet plaatsen of extra moet betalen om hem in de ruimte boven je hoofd te mogen plaatsen. Er is wel 5x gevraagd of ik wel zeker wist dat die van mij onder mijn stoel paste!!"

Voordelen: "The only good thing about this flight was the free plastic cup of water they gave us right before we landed. Thanks!"
Nadelen: "The stewardess was outright mean! I am disabled and showed up in a wheelchair. The woman had the nerve to ask me if I was really disabled or if I was using it to cut the line. It was really horrible!"

Nadelen: "Foods are so salty overall. No individual entertainment system available."

Voordelen: "Asked a stewardess to turn the heat up and she did."
Nadelen: "Freezing cold air conditioning. Every person I could see was wrapped up in their blanket before we had even taken off."

Nadelen: "not enough room for carry on luggages to think we had small carry on luggages; very bad experience had to open our carry on because we had valuables and was placed in plastic bags coz our carry ons were checked in all the way to Sydney...very very bad american airlines!!!"

Nadelen: "The connecting flight from Raleigh to Philly was cancelled so we missed the flight to Manchester. We booked , through Kayak, with British Air and paid extra for premium economy and the actual carrier, American, doesn’t know how to process a refund and no such seats are available on our rebooked flight 24 hours later so it has been frustrating."

But when an employee swears up and down that there is NO chance our bags won't arrive with us and then is WRONG, that is bullshit. Also, I'm a 5'6 woman, and even I had knee pain from the tiny leg room. Imagine how my 6'2 partner felt."

Voordelen: "Having flown many international airlines, I was proud to give American the highest ratings for quality and general hospital."
Nadelen: "More up to date movies would help"

Nadelen: "plane departure was delayed after boarding because the pilot hadn't arrived from local residence or hotel to SFO in time - as a result we sat on tarmac for half hour or more before departure AND because we arrived late we sat on tarmac for awhile waiting for an arrival gate to open at DCA"

Nadelen: "American refused to board me becouse LAN did not send the reservation to AA system. Flight was full and AA did not even talk with me about what to do. They just unloaded my bag allready checked to MIA.. After two hours standing at LAN counter they changed my flight to Lima and than to Miami. I came to Miami 12 hours late, very disappointed by this service. According to AA my ticket was never confirmed by the airline !! How can you sell it to customer ??"

Nadelen: "overnight flight. temperature set to minimum. no blankets provided. patronizing crew (blankets are "only for business class", because who cares if a few cattle freeze to death in transit)."

Nadelen: "First hearing news of my flight being severely delayed I asked the ticket agent if I should just drive down to DFW from Lawton he reassured me that the plane would get there with time I had to make a split decision to drive down very rapidly"

Nadelen: "The fact that AA had an issue with THEIR plane which caused me to miss an already booked connecting flight. I ended up spending SEVEN hours in Phoenix waiting for a different flight to take me back to Tampa. The least AA could do is offer to pay for my supper or even a snack ANYTHING would've been nice. It's called customer service. I understand things happen that are out of our control, I also understand what it is to help make people whole or happy."

Voordelen: "Easy access to the Laboratory, location of my seat"
Nadelen: "The flight attendants were not that friendly and do not like me asking for so much water (4 times) on a 9.5 hour flight. This was operated by American Airlines...they need to be nice and smile. I asked for a gluten-free meal which they did not have two hours later I find attendant gave me a meal from first class but someone did not eat. A little disappointed!"

Nadelen: "Watched a very weird interaction between Muslim (with a hajib) women with a kiddo and desk crew. She wanted to sit next to her child on the flight and needed to switch seats to be able to. Woman was very gracious and understanding that she was asking for an accommodation. Ends up her flight to Philly had been moved to a different gate after they had found a volunteer to switch seats. Volunteer was totally unfazed but Desk crew made it seem as tho the Muslim mom was at fault for the time and trouble they had had to go through to accommodate her. She apologized profusely and was very appreciative for the trouble evernote had gone to for her. . As she walked away the crew looked at each other and shook their heads. Pretty crummy way to treat customers!"

Nadelen: "Couldn't get off the plane. A problem with the ramp."

Voordelen: "When I arrived in Orlando, Luis Camacho assisted me the entire time and was incredibly helpful. He was able to get me on a flight to Chicago from Orlando without having to get on a bus."
Nadelen: "The captain of flight LA 2514 deciding he was just done flying."

Nadelen: "The crew was the worst part in this flight and on any flight i have Ever been to, never had that rude crew on a flight"

Voordelen: "Crew was nice"
Nadelen: "I would like to be able to let the passenger next to me to close the shade. He slept , the sun was not in his face ."

Voordelen: "The flight was quick and efficient. Got lucky with nobody in my row. The passengers were always informed of any info and we landed on time. A very positive experience."
Nadelen: "While I can't cite anything specific...the flight attendants seemed a bit off putting. While they did everything they were supposed to do, I sensed a bit of an attitude. Also, they only offered food service on request because it was a short flight. Why not give the chance for a refreshment or two. I know they want to save on costs but man...I'd almost rather fly on a foreign airline. They go above and beyond customer service. I'm just nitpicking here. It was pretty good overall."

Voordelen: "On time"
Nadelen: "Crew was unhelpful, not prepared, only cookies for food, no personal entertainment, and charged check-in bag fee."

Voordelen: "The flight was boarded well in advance of takeoff, which was a pleasant surprise. The short flight was smooth and uneventful. I enjoyed a free movie, and then we were back on the ground."

Voordelen: "Normally I've been on planes where the seats aren't that great! But these seats were wonderful! :) I was out like a baby!"
Nadelen: "I don't really like the complimentary pretzels."
