Nadelen: "My biggest issue was that my seat didn't recline. 30C. It was quite unpleasant for a 5 hour flight with a large man pushing his seat farther back than it goes, in front of me. The other issue was that one gentleman flight attendant had terrible body odor. He mostly smelled like he'd been sweating, but his uniform was in desparate need of laundering ... particularly the pants. I started to mention to it with the friend that I was traveling with, and she knew what I was going to describe before I said it, despite us not talking during the flight (seats were split apart). I'd also mention - although there may not be anything that can be done - but boarding was a nightmare. A large Chicago flight had a boarding line crossing in front of our gate as we were called to get in line (no zones or row numbers). It was quite slow to be standing for 50 minutes and the entire plane settling into all rows at once."

Nadelen: "My seat was changed less than an hour before the flight so that I was no longer sitting with my wife. The person at the service desk explained that they substituted a smaller plane because the flight was not full. She said it was better than the flight being cancelled."

Nadelen: "I was very surprised, that I had to pay for my luggage. Didn’t have to do that flying from Boston to Munich, but on my way back."

Nadelen: "1. Be on time! Switching planes last minute is not ok. Missed our train and many people missed connecting flights and trains because flight got delayed and did not make up the time. 2. Very hot on the plane. No temperature control. 3. Any snacks or food for purchase only."

Voordelen: "Crew was not pleasant and not greeting the passengers , but very supportive during the flight . Food for purchase only . Laggage is too expensive. Entertainment very old and not a lot to chose from. I was sitting in the emergency exit seat , that was very uncomfortable for my legs ."
Nadelen: "Smile, take less money for check in bags , food or at least snacks free."
Nadelen: "They asked everybody to put fit carry-ons in measuring bin and it slowed boarding a lot. Some bags got stuck there, it was quite entertaining :)"

Nadelen: "Icelandair makes you think that the ticket is a real bargain but the luggage charges to check one bag per person cost as much as the ticket, then you have to pay for food and many seat choices."

Nadelen: "I had to wait almost one hour at check in. The person in charge said there were "issues" with my visa. She allowed me to board to Reykjavik and said the issues would be solved as I flew. I had to check in again at Reykjavik. There was no "issue" with my visa and I was received normally at my destination. Comfort level on business class was sub-par and options on entertainment center very limited."
Voordelen: "I had sprained my ankle the day before my flights, and the crew were all very nice and accommodating for me."
Nadelen: "I didn't like the fact that when I booked my flight, I was misled to believe that my checked baggage was included. The message said that "cabin baggage was included", but since when is cabin baggage NOT included?? I was surprised to find out when I was checking in that I had to pay an extra 50 Euros to check my luggage in, which I was really not happy about since the flight itself was already so expensive."
Voordelen: "Comfort. The seats and IFE were great."
Nadelen: "Boarding was 45+minutes and involved standing in a cramped hall before boarding a bus to then climb the gateway in the rain :("
Voordelen: "The crew was welcoming."
Nadelen: "The boarding was delayed by an hour, and people were just standing squeezed to the gate in the busy Reykjavik airport. The flight was rough at times, but I suppose that's a Mother Nature's fault. Food and drink (for purchase) was fine."

À bord, le personnel a fait le nécessaire mais pas plus, service peu chaleureux et minimaliste. Le débarquement s’est fait avec une navette, comme à Mirabel dans le temps, et comme il n’y avait qu’une seule navette à la porte arrière, le processus a êté laborieux."

Nadelen: "My daughter booked this for me and went cheap, so partly my fault.. I never spend over five hours on a flight and got zero to eat; no peanuts, no anything.. food, snacks and drinks were way overpriced"

Voordelen: "Believe aircraft was about 2 hours out of Iceland when my 87 yo mother had and emergency being unconscious. The crew jump into action unbelievable and assisted with remarkable training. Thank GOD there was a MD on board from Germany also a paramedic. Crew,MD,Paramedic took over the situation and mother was recovered THANK GOD for the training your attendants are given or surely it would have been a death on board 3 hours until landing in Boston. I was surely a MIRACLE for me and my family. No words can express our the skills of those on board. I only suggestion is that more IV solution should be on board - the bottle was small - but certainly aided in her recovery. THANK YOU THANK YOU ICELAND AIR"
Voordelen: "Everything was great except the boarding process at KEF for outbound back to BOS."
Nadelen: "The boarding process at KEF for flight back to BOS was a mess. Only one attendant checking people in. The gate was so crowded it was ridiculous. The one attendant did not have any PA system so you couldn't hear any of her announcements. It was a long, hot, crowded wait to get onto the bus that brought us over to the plane. Not the best way to end our trip to Iceland."
Voordelen: "Second time I have flown to Brussels with Iceland Air. I love their customer service and especially the flight route. My flight going over was cancelled due to weather. I called their reservation office , had to wait on hold for 1 hour and 15 minutes , but it was worth it. The reservation agent found me a new flight on LH, she explained I would get a conformation about 3 hours after our conversation with the flight information and new txt information. I was able to check in with LH on line that evening. Iceland Air had every pre assigned seats for me."
Nadelen: "The boarding process in Kevlavik is pretty awful. No seating around gate areas. You have to stand in line for about 30 minutes to then have to get on shuttle to be driven to plane where you have to walk on stairs to get to plane, or in some cases you actually get to board from the terminal, which happened yesterday. I have MS,and sometimes standing for long periods of time and then having to climb up stairs is difficult for me. I also see a lot of elderly people and parents with babies having difficulty with this boarding process. Their airport really needs major expansion for the amount of people that travel thru their. Seating araes around their gates should be a priority."
Nadelen: "Same boarding delays. Airport gates have no seating and hard to hear announcements in other areas. Posting of gate info was late as well"
Voordelen: "Icelandair caters to children which is exceptional."
Nadelen: "There were just a few chairs for people to sit in while waiting to board. The boarding zones were crammed together so it was absolute chaos lining up to board. I was really surprised but the Icelandair personnel at the airport were extremely unfriendly. They seemed irritated when asked a question and did not smile."
Voordelen: "The flight attendents were nice and did a good job."
Nadelen: "The plan was small for a5 in a half hour flight. On top of that there was not even as much as a snack given and everything on the menu was way over priced. Just think it is in human to have people in the air taped that long and force them to pay extra on top of ticket price to have a snack. Very disappointed if i can help it i will not fly with them again. This is the 3 straight year i have so seems like we are being forced to go with them."
Nadelen: "Rejkjavik aiport is woefully undersized and understaffed to handle the volume of passengers connecting through to other destinations. Jam-packed waiting areas and walking aisles and long queues in restrooms and refreshment areas. A lovely building, but not a pleasant experience at all."

Although it was a 6 hour long trip food was only available for purchase..and it was very expensive. Limited selection of entertainment (and seldom subtitles or translations in other languages) as well."

Voordelen: "Love the leg room... nothing exceptional, but more than the other discount airlines. Free layover in Iceland. Kind and helpful staff. Includes one checked bag and in flight movies (not latest releases, but enough to get you there.)"
Nadelen: "Limited free drink choices, but you do get tea, coffee, and some soft drinks. Check the in-flight magazine to make sure you don't plan on a Coke and end up with 7Up. Boarding at KEF is a free for all, Iceland style. If the Scandinavians start lining up, get in line. Not that it matters much since seats are assigned and there is adequate carryon space due to free checked bag."
Voordelen: "It was a good flight overall. No major problems. Boarding in Keflavik was a bit chaotic, but that's just Keflavik - an airport too small for the volume of passengers. Iceland air is a good mid-level airline."
Nadelen: "I have problems with food not being served on international flights. That just bothers me."
Nadelen: "Our seats were reassigned at the last minute (upon boarding) to seats that couldn't recline at all. The people in front of us could recline their seats fully, giving us no room whatsoever to move. We had no room to even rest our heads on the table or cross our legs. It was very uncomfortable. Had I known the seating was so uncomfortable, I would not have flown this airline. These were not the seats we selected earlier, so we were taken by surprise at being given such terrible seats and offered no options. I will not fly this airline again."
Nadelen: "Too bad that there is no food included in the flights. We bought sandwiches, and they were worth it though :)"

Voordelen: "Flight was delayed. booked another flight through Dallas with a 150 minutes layover there. That almost wasn't enough as we had an unscheduled 1 hour stop in Austi . In Dallas I had to run from one flight to the next. The only reason I made was because the connecting flight eas also delayed. In rhe end we landed at SFO (instead of OAK) over 2 hours later than originally scheduled. To make matters worse, there was a backup on the Dublin grade, making the drive home to Tracy over three hours long. arrived at SAT at 4:30 PM CDT and arrived home in Tracy after 3:30 AM OFT. oh yeah, and my luggage didn't make it at all..."

Nous avons perdu une journée de travail mon époux et moi-meme. Lui a du annuler une formation impliquant 10 personnes qui venait de toute la France."

We arrived on-time, went through the line and were then placed in a standing room only area to stand and wait for another 45 minutes before boarding. We were placed near the entrance (I thought to board early as a family) but were later told to join another line when we asked why we sere just standing and waiting while other passengers were walking past us. The communication between staff and between your staff and passengers was poor."

Nadelen: "at check-in agent said we did not have coverage on our ticket for our 2 -50lb bags dispite informing her that we were covered and had no problem on our arriving flight to Portugal - we had to pay 196 Euros or leave our bags in Portugal Additionally we had ordered a wheelchair to assist my wife to the gate - which we also had our arriving flight - agent said she had no record of it. She said we could wait which we did and waited 2 hours to obtain a wheelchair (and came close to missing our plane) not to mention the stress associated with the whole check in process"

The staff made sure that people only boarded when their zone was called. The flight and the aircraft was comfortable. The food was better than what I've had on other airlines, if not at least equal."

Aux prix qu’on paie nos billets, on devrait avoir un meilleur service et un sourire. Ça fait dur comparé à d’autres compagnies aériennes."

Voordelen: "The connecting flight was with air Canada. In general the flight was fine. Landed on a Saturday afternoon."
Nadelen: "What was not fine was the horror at the other end when air Canada lost my bag (which had my suit and prescriptions) and couldn't tell me where it was or when it would be delivered for over two days of calling between their service centre and one the ground people at Boston. The call centre was in India, no one in Boston would tell them what was going on. It should not take three days to sort, when the bag had actually been sent on the next flight (on Saturday evening) after the one I took. Fortunately, was able to borrow BP medication from a relative and ultimately had to spend money to buy new suit and clothes before bag finally appeared because I had business meetings for which I needed appropriate attire. Every other airline I gave flown where my bag was delayed was always delivered in 24 hours. This was not Brussels airlines fault, it was the fault of air Canada."
Voordelen: "The flight from Toronto to Boston is extremely short, about an hour. I don’t feel as though I can rate the food since I didn’t buy any, it just doesn’t give me an option to not rate it. It was a completely full flight. It was as comfortable as can be. It’s a smaller plane so you feel everything but the captains were good flyers."
Nadelen: "I’m not sure if this is something I can really complain about but I wish the flight attendants would’ve spoken a bit lower. For a plane where half of the people there had missed their connecting flight and were put on a 6:30 am flight, I don’t think we wanted to hear about their detailed personal lives."

Nadelen: "Being stuck in Boston and Ottawa for 2 extra days and adding around $1200 on to our trip in hotels alone (I was travelling with 4 kids on a school trip and my wife). Additionally, we didn’t find out the flights were cancelled until we arrived at the airport. Apparently, they had been cancelled 2 hours before but there was no notification. Air Canada offered no help whatsoever and the guy at the “service” desk in Boston literally said there was nothing he could do to help. Not even find a new flight. Spent 90 minutes on the phone trying to re-book, plus re-booking hotel along the way."

However we couldnt take off as delta was clogging up the way to the runaway so ended up waitimg an hour to taje off which was ridiculous. Hope delta hires more ground crew so that others arent inconvenienced in the future."

Voordelen: "I flew through Vancouver from Boston on my way to Brisbane, Australia and back. I was nervous at first because of the 2 hour connection windows. This might be a testament to Vancouver Airport more than Air Canada, but the flight home after an initial 14 hour flight was pain free. Boarding was fast (the flight wasn't full) and we ended up pulling away from the terminal early. I slept most of the flight so I can't really comment on food. The entertainment was the same as when i left for Australia, which was ok. It had a decent variety to select from."

They charged me $15 per leg to make advanced seat assignments ($60 total) then changed my flights and put me in middle seats on two legs without asking me - I didn't find out until I was ready to board and they called my name to come to the gate desk! They also charge $33+ US to check one bag. If you go over the 50 lb weight limit they charge $100. By the time you add it all up, I could have flown on Delta through the US for less. Trying to get my seat selection fees reimbursed was very difficult; At the airport, they told me to go online and ask for a refund; Online, I couldn't find the way to get to the refund link; Called Customer service again, who gave me an 800# to call for a refund; the person on the 800 # told me I had to request it online but walked me through it to find the refund link; I filled in the online request and was told by automatic reply that Air Canada would investigate it and get back to me within 3-4 weeks. Ugh! No more Air Canada for me!"

Avons acheté 3 vols avec United. 2 des ces vols étaient exploités par air Canada. En conséquence, aucune communication entre les 2 compagnies. Avons passé près de 2h au comptoir service pour qu'ils réussissent à imprimer nos billets, malgré qu'ils ont été acheter plusieurs mois plus tôt. L'employé du service a clientèle united de l'aéroport de Newark terminal A n'a rien fait pour nous aider et a offert un service médiocre (mauvaise attitude etc).
