Early June and headed to Scandinavia, not someplace hot. Seats were hard and I put my unused blankets under me."

Voordelen: "The crew was excellent, the flight from Newark to Copenhagen was on new aircraft A340-300 I believe, it was very nice and comfortable even in coach as long as you have a compact body."
Nadelen: "That my Silver Star Alliance status got me nothing with SAS, no early boarding, no ability to select a seat until 24 hours before without paying an extra cost, if you wanted a beer you had to pay, this is a no frills airline now, pay as you go."

Nadelen: "Service was poor and seats were uncomfortable. There were only 4 flight attendants for the entire flight. It took over an hour for our food to be served after we received our drinks. The food was not good at all. The movie options were not the best either. Also, it was so hot during the entire flight especially once we landed and taxied for 30 minutes. I flew SAS to Europe and really enjoyed my flight but this experience makes me never want to fly SAS again!"

I had to sit on an angle (one butt cheek at a time) for 9 yours. I do not have a big butt either. This seat should have been a discounted seat, not a premium seat. I am so angry about this, I will NEVER fly Air France again."

Nadelen: "Every time we have travelled from Chicago to Toronto, the flight gets cancelled. Had to leave 0230 to get to airport only to find that flight at 0800 was cancelled. Ugh!"

Voordelen: "The passengers, the Brussels airport retail area, 1 of the flight attendants who was polite and welcoming, and the entertainment selections. Finally being connected to Swiss staff."
Nadelen: "The crew was not very welcoming and was borderline rude when I asked any sort of question such as why I was not allowed to wear my headphones prior to take off. I was patient in not wearing them, but could not relaxing into the trip for the 40+ minutes we remained on the ground mostly not moving. I was tired when boarding and fumbled with my documents and was very curtly told to just hand them over. Another time I accidentally mistook headphones the stewardess was handing out for something else. I took a pair and then immediately gave them back with an apology that I didn't realise what they were, but thanked her anyway. This was met with a scowl and a bit of opposition. There was one stewardess that was very nice and accommodating out of the entire crew. On top of this the toilet seat on the plane was broken, so it fell on you when you were trying to go to the bathroom, and the soap dispenser was broken. I didn't dare mention these things to the flight crew though. The plane was late taking off from Montreal, and so was late landing in Brussels. No effort was made to provide connections assistance, or provide directions on where to go to rebook our missed connections. I and all others traveling to Zurich spent the entire morning trying to find anyone from Air Canada to help us rebook our flights. We literally were going from desk to desk between two terminals, and consulting each other as we went to limit the amount of leg work we all had to do. We all had to finally leave the terminal area and go to Swissport and stand in a long slow line. By that time any afternoon flight was already overbooked. So I and a group of other passengers were booked for an evening flight which forced me to book a hotel in Zurich because I couldn't get to where I needed to be that evening. After being rebook, I still tried to get on an earlier flight by going directly to the gate. It was confirmed that there was some extra space available, but they would not switch me to the earlier flight because I had a checked bag that I could not separate me from. Ultimately my bag was lost which made me have to stay awake and in the Zurich airport even longer after I finally arrived going from one lost baggage representative to another, and then waiting in another line to finally fill out paperwork because my bag had never been scanned in Brussels. The Zurich representatives were very polite, helpful, and efficient compared to anyone I encountered in Montreal, or Brussels. I was without my bag for 3.5 days of what was supposed to be a 10 day trip. My trip was reduced to 9 days because I spent an entire day in the Brussels airport and then had to spend the night in Zurich. I arrived in Zurich on Saturday night, and received my bag on Tuesday afternoon. All in all it was not a good experience until I got to Switzerland."

Voordelen: "the flight crew offered us as many drinks as we'd like which was nice."
Nadelen: "the seats were quite uncomfortable even though it was a 5 hour flight. there was no food on flight other than for purchase, too expensive."

Voordelen: "Loved how the ride was dead so I was able to get a whole row to myself and stretch out. Food was excellent! Flight attendants were very nice!"

Nadelen: "Seat pitch in economy is too tight to do work on a 14" laptop. The food was mediocre at best."

Nadelen: "Old and partly broken plane, horrible food. 2 officials to immigrate hundreds of people at Brussels. Breakdown of luggage system in Brussels. No luggage at arrival in Vienna."

Voordelen: "Getting off the plane!"
Nadelen: "They delayed the flight by almost 2 hours. Tried to make me check a carry on bag when the plane wasn't even at 50% capacity and one of the representatives was rude about it. Despite having a delayed flight and not many people on the plane, they still lost one of my bags. They also lied to me about taking care of my other friends who were coming from the same connecting flight as me but was hung up in customs. My friends were traveling with small children but were denied entry to the gate because they were a little behind. I could keep going but never again on Air Canada!!!! Never!!!"

Voordelen: "Nice plane and crew."

Nadelen: "Seats just aren't comfortable and they ran out of iPads so no entertainment. This was on an 8.5hr flight from Berlin."

Voordelen: "Dinner was ok, Breakfast and coffee were horrrible"
Nadelen: "Very rude staff, would not do anything I asked and responded with attitude"

Voordelen: "Niets"

Nadelen: "One piece of my chicken tasted weird, chewy, and just not like food should be. The rest of it was ok."

Voordelen: "Take off and landing were both smooth and ahead of time. Landed Toronto from New York about 30 minutes early!"
Nadelen: "Charging for earphones!!!"

Nadelen: "The tv in business class weren't really working... stopping the movies by it self and I had to always restart them until I gave up on watching a movie!"

Voordelen: "The employees recognized our needs, were polite, accommodated easily to french or english, and even told people to clear the boarding area if it wasn't time for their zone to board (a major pet peeve of mine)."
Nadelen: "No inflight entertainment or food and really small seats. Yeah, you can pay extra for an ipad or to get food, but for most decent flights these days you get at least something to eat for free. Especially on a 7 hour flight from US to CAN. My knees nearly touched the seat in front of me. It wasn't that small of a plane, i just think they really wanted to pack us in. If they removed a row or two and gave everyone just an inch more space how much would that REALLY set them back?"

Voordelen: "The flight from YVR to SFO was good, but the flight from SFO to YVR was horrible. So I'm giving you an average score from both flights. Note: both flights were booked through Air Canada but were operated by United."
Nadelen: "I booked through Air Canada but the flight was operated through United. There was NO communication regarding what terminal the flight left from and I almost missed my flight because the board said international but that was incorrect. Many people did miss their flights and everyone was MAD. I was re-booked on a later flight but fortunately I made the original flight because I happened to be walking by the gate when they called for final boarding. My seat was at the very back of the plane next to the bathrooms. When the flight took off a funnel of water poured down my back from the baggage bins above. My entire back, pants and underwear got soaked. It was disgusting. The stewardess said it was most likely water from condensation/air conditioner and offered me some paper towels. I moved to the aisle seat. Thank goodness it was open, because when we landed a ton more water poured on to my old empty seat. Once again the stewardesses didn't think it was a big deal. I feel badly for whomever sat in that back seat the next flight out. I'm sure they got soaked too. The stewardesses could not have cared less. I'm sure they didn't bother to report it."

Nadelen: "N/A"

Nadelen: "The entertainment consisted of an IPad that you had to rent, and the attendants were not cheerful not helpful.... Just in a constant hurry."

Nadelen: "Not even one single snack for free"

Nadelen: "The fact that my ticket said something different from my itinerary and I spent far too long at the counter to get a seat assignment."

Nadelen: "All three Air Canada flights that I had to take on this itinerary were late including the 2nd one which was six hours late. Air Canada personnel on this 2nd flight did not do a good job of communicating information to the customers during the delay. Air Canada booked be on a 3rd night that lead me to only get 3 hours sleep in a hotel. AC does not work with the customers when booking flights. they just make changes after the previous flight has left the ground."

Voordelen: "Attendants were friendly. Equipment comfortable, many entertainment options."
Nadelen: "Long lines for boarding, continuous calling of 50+ passenger names while boarding lines congested the gate."

Voordelen: "Staff was extremely nice and the plane itself was comfortable- loved the leg ."
Nadelen: "Flight to Vancouver: Upon arrival I was told that the luggage from my flight 557 was misplaced and put on plane 775. I had to wait an extra two hours for luggage in customs. I was late to the wedding festivities in Whistler that evening. Flight to Los Angeles: The plane was 30 minutes late. We board the plane and discover there is a sensor issue. We wait 30 minutes. then another 30 and then another 30 as more and more news comes about that the problem is not fixable. We de-board and have to wait in a long line at the complete opposite end of the airport. By 1:00am the line has barely moved and all hotel vouchers has been used. I have to spend the evening on a bench in the airport as a single woman- not comforting. I missed important meetings the next day as I am on the flight home. I understand accidents happen but it happened on both my way there and back. My flight home should have been refunded as it put me in a very insecure position and effected my work performance."

Voordelen: "The crew was nice and the brownie with dinner was tasty"
Nadelen: "The plane didn't have video screens and didn't warn us to bring any entertainment so it was very boring. The plane smelled like urine. the crew had like tissue boxes sprawled on the floor. Bathrooms were not cleaned during the flight and there were tissues everywhere. The dinner was terrible. I had the pasta and it was just gross tasting. I don't even know what kind of sauce they tried to put on it."

Nadelen: "As expected with Air Canada, the service is awful with bitchy stewardesses, the food is poor, the plane is falling apart. Midway through the flight, the plane looked like a pigsty with garbage everywhere. When serving the meals, the stewardess just said to everyone, "You want it or not" and moved quickly with many people wondering why she was behaving so rudely. In addition, we couldn't get clear information about the baggage allowance. This is partially due to booking through Kayak where they don't tell you the baggage limit and some of the flights were code share flights even though all were with Air Canada. Couldn't tell if we had 1 or 2 bags included. This didn't help with our packing. In the end we had 2 bags and wish we bought more stuff."

Nadelen: "They over sold the flight and we couldn't board the plane."

Nadelen: "Delayed flight caused me to rush to connecting flight with only 25 min to spare from Toronto to tel aviv... Baggage is missing as well"

Nadelen: "The flight was 3 hours late. At some point we boarded the plane then asked to disembark it as we were still not ready for take off. They told us there were some weather issues in Toronto ... I looked at 3 different weather channels who said that the weather was mostly clear in Toronto with a few scattered showers."

Nadelen: "Did not have any monitors 9 hour flight with nothing to view"

Voordelen: "Plane was late due to Stewart missing the bus from their hotel?...seriously unprofessional and the check in staff lying to customers to accommodate others customers from an undeparted flight from the night before?...attempting to change my flight due to this?...seriously need to do better Air Canada...and to top it all off you are served by a snotty unprofessional group of stewards?....a huge JOKE!....won't be flying this airline again and I will be spreading the word!"
Nadelen: "Seriously?"

Voordelen: "Initially I chose Air Canada because the price was better than United. But the hassle was not worth it."
Nadelen: "Rouge plane was dirty. Flight attendants gave incorrect information regarding immigration forms that caused us problems after landing."

Nadelen: "We took off 1 to two hours late"

Nadelen: "I miss individual entertainment screens for such a long flight."

Voordelen: "Food from Montreal to London."
Nadelen: "Food from Vancouver to Montreal."

Voordelen: "Staff friendly. Food and drinks good. Good variety of entertainment"
Nadelen: "Limited leg room"

Nadelen: "I ordered a special lacto-ovo vegetarian meal ahead of time. They said they received the order, but didnt have my food. They said they would do their best but ended up giving me a plate of lettuce and bread. When I asked about the bread having dairy or eggs they said they didnt know, so I had to throw it out."

Nadelen: "The flight boarded, departed, and landed late causing me to miss my flight to Tel Aviv."

Nadelen: "There is streaming provided over local wifi, but no way to charge devices so once devices are dead there is nothing you can do."

Voordelen: "No food offered on a 6 hour flight, but nice flight crew and good entertainment system."

Voordelen: "very nice people, food ok"
Nadelen: "Bad organization at Montreal for special passengers, plus technical pb => flight delayed 45mn"

Voordelen: "Price line is better not thief like you yu take my money for nothing my husband not traveling your given me fake tickets . bring my money back on my account. am gonna take to court yu fukin beach.yubstolen my money"

Nadelen: "I did not know I purchase a BE ticket. Was asked to pay $175 for the suit bag i had in addition to my computer bag. I was also place in a seat that does not recline. Very poor value at any cost."

Nadelen: "Did not actually get a Polaris type cabin layout. The plane had not yet been converted."

Nadelen: "The flight within itself was not a problem. However there was a hold up because on weather which is not a problem better safe than sorry. But trying to make our connecting flight was the problem we asked over and over for information on if we were to make our connecting flight and no one seem to be able to give us a relatively fair answer on what we were to do because of the delays. Needless to say we missed our connecting flight in New Jersey they shut the door and said we could not board, that's OK if that was the rules but what to do next was the problem, no one could seemingly help us.We had to walk around to find someone to help us to only be told that we can just get the next flight but we had to go to customer service to get re-ticketed which was making us missed even another flight the lines in customer service were extremely long and they were going extremely slow so I had to jump out of line and go to a gate in which someone help me get re-ticketed to catch the next flight. We were to have someone to meet us in London in which we had no way to connect with them to tell them we were going to be 2 to 3 hours late. Once we got on a flight the plane was clean, the seats were spacious enough for economy and the staff was friendly but coming through New Jersey was not what I would want to do again but I had a flight back coming through. The horror!"
