Unfortunately, Delta met my anticipated expectation. US based carriers could learn a lot from Lufthansa."

Nadelen: "The Soviet Union wants its airline back. This was perhaps the RUDEST airline experience I've ever experienced. I was at Frankfurt (FRA) airport waiting to board Air Moldova Flight 864 to Chisinau (KIV). Due to a delay caused by Frankfurt security (and no fault of my own), I was delayed in reaching the gate. Since it was past my boarding time, I grabbed my bags from the conveyor belt once past security without having time to repack. I arrived at the gate and the extremely rude Air Moldova gate agent on duty yelled at me and demanded that I give her my boarding pass. When I told her I needed to pack, she yelled that there was “no time for that”. When I searched for my pass, she again yelled and said “NOW!”. When I told her that it was not my fault that I arrived late since there was a delay at security, she said “Not my problem!”. After she checked my boarding pass, I tried to repack and she again yelled “There is no time. Go to the bus NOW!” I once again told her that it was not my fault I got delayed and she again yelled “NOT MY PROBLEM”. In addition to rude employees, the airline is clearly in violation of safety regulations. The safety card in the back seat pocket was written in ARMENIAN – and Armenian only, thanks to the plane having been leased and Air Moldova not appropriately changing the safety cards. How did they expect people who read Romanian or Russian (the local languages) or English to understand it! On top of that, the plane was easily 20 years old or more and dirty. If they can't even keep a plane clean or have the appropriate safety cards, what else are they not maintaining. Do not fly this terrible airline!"

We are not large people but getting over the aisle armrest was very difficult to maneuver to avoid injury (falling). The security in Munich was upsetting in that one man yelled at me , "Get it out! Get it out! Get it out! because I put my electronics in one of the bins before my husband. I was confused as to what I had supposedly done and I said, "This is my husband" (who was removing his shoes) and this man's reply was "I didn't know that". We were not trying to cause trouble and we cannot understand why he had to yell."

Nadelen: "My flight was cancelled and no one notified me! Instead, FlyUs.com placed me on a different SAS flight that had a 15 minute layover in Copenhagen. Needless to say, I would have missed the flight from Copenhagen. I realized the issue the day-of, spent hours on the phone trying to book a different flight through the customer services at FlyUs.com (stupid company!), and was finally rebooked by SAS on a different airline. When I called SAS directly, they immediately took care of the situation and handled it well, but I wasted an entire day dealing with FlyUs.com, waiting on confirmation for a flight that I was never going to receive. The whole experience was awful."

Voordelen: "The only thing that saved the flight was a good crew and decent food."
Nadelen: "My husband uses a wheel chair and a delightful attendant wheeled him and about 20 other passengers to a very well equipped handicap area. There we all stayed until finally we demanded that we be taken to our flight which was supposed to leave in about 10 minutes. When we boarded the plane all the other passengers were already there and I was the last one on. All the overhead bins were taken and I had to put my carry-on under the seat which left me with almost no leg room. By the time we arrived in SFO my thighs and back hurt so much that I was worried maybe I would require medical attention. Which fortunately was not the case. It was luck that I had a bag that would actually fit under the seat."

Nadelen: "If you want to have a different meal than what they offer, you have to contact customer service before hand. I never been on a flight so far, where there wasn’t a vegetarian option. So I was pretty surprised when they just offered beef fajitas. I asked for a vegetarian option only to find out there isn’t none. The flight attendant wasn’t super nice about it either, she just said you have to order it online. But at no point I got an email saying, if you want something different than what we offer, tell us! So that was pretty annoying..."

Nadelen: "Booked SAS Go level which included 1 piece of luggage each. At check-in, we were told that is not the case despite SAS' own website saying that it is. I was charged another $320 and I am disgusted with their business practices which revolve around, deceit, lies andl I would even say fraud! There were many others complaining about the SAS Go luggage issue and then having to pay again. I could have gone with Ryan Air for a fraction of the cost."

Nadelen: "Took over an hour delay for boarding due to air conditioning issues, then when we boarded we were told it was 35 Celsius until they start the engines. Then took an additional hour once boarded to take off due to traffic. Completely missed my connecting flight"

Nadelen: "While boarding, a crew member neglect to help me finding space on the bins for my carry on luggage with a very rough answer. However same crew member kindly attend people coming next to my wife and me. During the rest of the flight no one even direct us a single word. Seems that SAS crew's attention depend on your ethnicity."

Voordelen: "The flight from Newark to Stockholm was late, so I was late for the flight to Vilnius,had to recheck-in and wait for 6 hours."

Nadelen: "A very dishonest experience. The booking never made it clear that I was not allowed to check my suitcase and I had to pay € 70 extra both coming and going and thereby paid 1 1/2 times more for my suitcase than for my ticket. I am very disappointed to be 'tricked' in this way and consider it a very dishonest business practice."

Nadelen: "I Had checked several times to make sure I had 2 bags included ( standard for US-EU flights) and every time. At the airport I had to pay an extra charge for my second bag which made the flight very expensive and just ruined the whole experience for me"

My friend had the same issue, he asked for water and she had him come to the back to get it."

Nadelen: "When I got to Oslo to connect to my other flight I had to do security again and the boarding was already starting. So I had to run like hell and got there on the nik of time."

Nadelen: "The inability to easily view and choose a special meal is a recurrent issue with SAS - even when contacting the airline directly to rectify this issue, the ball was dropped on the return flight, and the crew scrambled to find a replacement meal. On-line boarding continues to be an issue for Green Card holders returning to the US - why not explain that one cannot pre-print boarding passes and instead must go to boarding pass issues-line as soon as one enters the airport."

That kind of upset me. Just a short explanation would be fine."

Nous sommes restés plus de 24 h dans cet aéroport sans que nous soit proposé un hôtel. on nous a donné une couverture et un oreillé!!d'autre ont pu etre rebooké sur d'autre vols sur NY ou chicago le matin meme. Nous avons perdu une journée de travail mon époux et moi-meme. Lui a du annuler une formation impliquant 10 personnes qui venait de toute la France."

Nadelen: "The check in agents with Iberia airlines in Porto were rude, the. told me only when I arrived that I could not carry on “camping backpacks”, so I would have to check it for an additional 40 euro to check it.. despite saying they’d be happy to check “carry on” free of charge.. I’ve never had a problem with my backpack before, and it fits well within the size restrictions and easily fits in the overhead.. then they were unable to transfer my bag that I payed 40 euro to check, to my connecting flight. Therefore I had to wait two days to receive my luggage at my final destination in Rome.. Overall a really mediocre and frustrating experience."

Nadelen: "The English announcements by the cabin crew (not the pre-recorded announcements) were difficult to understand at times due to the accent."

Voordelen: "From checkin, to boarding, to the fly, to luggage collection - the staff were all friendly and helpful and the whole experience was without issue. The flight was comfortable, leaving a touch late and arriving 10 minutes early. I have no complaints at all and would be happy to fly Iberia Express again."
Nadelen: "If I had to find one thing that wasn't so good - it was the time it took for everyone to put their carry-on luggage in the overhead lockers although this is not the airline's issue but became their issue because it meant the boarding process took a while. As mentioned - only a minor issue."

The food was not bad either as it was pretty good and included many beverage options. Would like to see how they do for flights lasting longer than 8 hours. Mine was only about 5 and a half hours from Madrid to Tel Aviv."

Voordelen: "Nothing -- though seat was okay. No leg room, but it reclined a little, and had those foldable headrests."
Nadelen: "The boarding was supposed to be by zone, but was just a mad rush. They served no food, not even for money. There was an onscreen ordering option, but for the entire flight it said "this service is temporarily closed". They didn't have a beverage cart. Not even water or coffee. I couldn't even get a cup of water to swallow some ibuprofen and an allergy pill (somebody brought a companion cat, I suspect, quite near to me). No food or water on an international flight across the Atlantic??? You've got to be kidding me -- that's gotta be close to illegal, not providing any means of hydration. But it's certainly cheap, mean, and unacceptable. Pathetic, too."

Voordelen: "It was my first flight with Iberia - I was very pleased with the entire experience."

In Mexico City Airport I had missed a flight three days earlier as I'd been observing the departure screens and they'd failed to update the status of my aircraft: this time I was informed of the gate at check-in. Flight was on time and didn't do anything scary. I was lucky as my neighbour found another free seat so left me with more room."
Nadelen: "I've found Iberia to be uncaring. This flight was much the same. The food and drink service was cheap, and I felt the attendants didn't feel like they had to try to give good service. The new entertainment screens kept coming on, and I kept turning them off as I wished to sleep. Eventually I discovered they were being triggered by the electrostatic charge on the pillows that I was rearranging."

I would say she went from ok to friendly so maybe not AWESOME but compared to the other flight attendants who weren't friendly at all, she was good."
Nadelen: "1. My gluten-free meal didn't arrive. AA pulled the same nonsense when I went from LAX to LHR. It is pretty infuriating. 2. My entertainment screen failed about 1/2 way through the flight. I came prepared but it was still annoying. 3. I pre-paid for a seat which was a hassle because the transaction failed with a cryptic message online and I had to call. When I went to check-in, I had a window, not aisle and was positioned at the very back of the plane. I requested a refund on the phone and that wasn't allowed so I tweeted (as they adverstise) and now filled a claim. Still no response."

Nadelen: "When we arrived at AirPort El Dorado, we discovered that our flight was cancelled/has been changed without warning us! They scheduled us a new flight with Vianca and Iberia: Bogotá-Madrid + Madrid-Brussels. My partner and I could not sit together on any of these flights! 1 of 10 hours and of 2 hours! I would NOT recommend AA to anyone! This was full responsability of AA!"

Nadelen: "Stewards keep trying to speak in Spanish to you. Every time again you have to ask to repeat in English."

Nadelen: "We were on the plane for 2 hours before we were offered any drinks (soda, water, etc.) The seats were quite small ( I'm average sized.) and I often felt as if I were slipping off the seat. The aircraft was very warm with poor airflow."

Voordelen: "Seats were surprisingly good, even though we could only get two center seats. There were no available business class seats, but now I'm glad I saved the expense as the economy seating was quite comfortable. They took good care of us with food and comfort, and the time passes with plenty of movies to watch."
Nadelen: "Can't help it, but Heathrow is just so big, and requires extensive walking, bussing from one terminal to another, then underground trains, and waiting at the C gates which don't offer the range of restaurants that the main terminal does. But we had 2 1/2 hours to make the connection and there was plenty of time with baggage checked through."

Nadelen: "Flight was over two hours delayed; flight attendants mostly ignored economy cabin, closed the curtains and chatted in their little area, and took a really long to respond to calls for attention to get water etc."

Voordelen: "The dood was decent (rice and chicken instead of a sandwich). Entertaiment was great, we had more than 20movies to choose from."
Nadelen: "The only bad thing was the weather. Ee ended up arriving 1hr later due to heavy rain, but then at the airport you could hear Iberia employees calling passengers with connections to speed up their process."

Voordelen: "The food was surprisingly good, and I had no issues once on either plane."
Nadelen: "The layover in Madrid was too short. Because the first leg was slightly delayed, I missed the flight to my final destination. They ended up giving me a ticket which departed more than 12 hours after my arrival in Madrid (!). I had to go to the horrible inconvenience of wandering through the huge airport looking for their customer support desk, waiting in line, returning an hour or two later, and eventually getting myself a standby ticket on an earlier flight. I still ended up in the airport for about 4-6 hours. They provided a coupon for a free lunch, and there was a lounge to stay in, but for a transatlantic flight, adding an extra 4-6 hours was really bad."

Aucun surclassement offert durant le vol tandis que la famille à côté de moi était malade 4. Ils ont perdus mon bagage à main alors que l'agence de bord m'avait promis de ne pas le perdre lorsque je lui ai demandé. Ils m'ont retiré mon bagage à main puisque ma petite valise que je transportais n'entrait pas sous le siège. L'agence de bord est parti avec mon bagage contentant tous mes médicaments, ma couverture et une partie de mes vêtements et c'est la dernière fois que j'ai vu ma valise. Lorsque je suis arrivé à Bruxelles, mon bagage à main qui fut placé en soute n'était pas à destination et j'ai pleuré toutes les larmes de ma vie."

Voordelen: "D’être arrivée à bon port en toute sécurité Ponctualité du vol Les agents de bord qui s’expriment en français. Même si avec difficulté pour certains, bel effort de communiquer dans la langue du passager."
Nadelen: "Il est très difficile d’entendre le pilote au micro. Par chance il n’y avait pas de message d’urgence à transmettre car nous peinions à l’entendre. Aucun service de la part de l’équipage lorsque nous pesons sur la demande d’assistance située sur notre siège. Ils ne répondent pas à l’appel autre que pour fermer, à distance, la demande de soutien. Extrêmement déplorable et dangereux si un passager a besoin d’aide ou à un malaise. Très très très décevant. Première fois où cela arrive sur un vol. La « grande variété » de divertissements sur l’application air Canada rouge.......très très difficile d’obtenir une connexion (un des passagers avec moi n’a jamais pu l’obtenir ) et finalement .....pour une « variété » et « qualité «  très discutable. Manque d’espace flagrant pour les jambes. Confort laisse à désirer."

Nadelen: "Le confort - 9h dans un siege en survolant l'Ocean (tu vois rien) et aucun ecran pour te dire ou t'es, aucun aucun ecran pour divertissment, tu peux louer une tablette à 10$ pour avoir les films et un peu de divertissment. Mais il y aurait aucun probleme si le prix du vol etait à 50% que le vol Lufthansa avec le confort necessaire. Comme j ai dit c'est un low cost à prix normal et je ne trouve pas normal."

Voordelen: "L'embarquement s'est fait de manière rapide et efficace, il n'y a pas eu de délai. Le personnel était très agréable et j'ai particulièrement aimé le fait que les agents de bord était québécois. Après 5 mois en France, je me sentais déjà à la maison juste en attendant leur accent à l'embarquement."

Nadelen: "i got to the airport 2.5 hours befor my flight to play it safe and waited at the check in for about a hour befor a air canada employe even showed up. vary poor service on the airlines part i will never fly with air canada again."

Voordelen: "The passengers, the Brussels airport retail area, 1 of the flight attendants who was polite and welcoming, and the entertainment selections. Finally being connected to Swiss staff."
Nadelen: "The crew was not very welcoming and was borderline rude when I asked any sort of question such as why I was not allowed to wear my headphones prior to take off. I was patient in not wearing them, but could not relaxing into the trip for the 40+ minutes we remained on the ground mostly not moving. I was tired when boarding and fumbled with my documents and was very curtly told to just hand them over. Another time I accidentally mistook headphones the stewardess was handing out for something else. I took a pair and then immediately gave them back with an apology that I didn't realise what they were, but thanked her anyway. This was met with a scowl and a bit of opposition. There was one stewardess that was very nice and accommodating out of the entire crew. On top of this the toilet seat on the plane was broken, so it fell on you when you were trying to go to the bathroom, and the soap dispenser was broken. I didn't dare mention these things to the flight crew though. The plane was late taking off from Montreal, and so was late landing in Brussels. No effort was made to provide connections assistance, or provide directions on where to go to rebook our missed connections. I and all others traveling to Zurich spent the entire morning trying to find anyone from Air Canada to help us rebook our flights. We literally were going from desk to desk between two terminals, and consulting each other as we went to limit the amount of leg work we all had to do. We all had to finally leave the terminal area and go to Swissport and stand in a long slow line. By that time any afternoon flight was already overbooked. So I and a group of other passengers were booked for an evening flight which forced me to book a hotel in Zurich because I couldn't get to where I needed to be that evening. After being rebook, I still tried to get on an earlier flight by going directly to the gate. It was confirmed that there was some extra space available, but they would not switch me to the earlier flight because I had a checked bag that I could not separate me from. Ultimately my bag was lost which made me have to stay awake and in the Zurich airport even longer after I finally arrived going from one lost baggage representative to another, and then waiting in another line to finally fill out paperwork because my bag had never been scanned in Brussels. The Zurich representatives were very polite, helpful, and efficient compared to anyone I encountered in Montreal, or Brussels. I was without my bag for 3.5 days of what was supposed to be a 10 day trip. My trip was reduced to 9 days because I spent an entire day in the Brussels airport and then had to spend the night in Zurich. I arrived in Zurich on Saturday night, and received my bag on Tuesday afternoon. All in all it was not a good experience until I got to Switzerland."

Nadelen: "Just stop serving "food." Just stop. Rice, bread and brownies is really not gonna work. Just stop. Admit that any protein or fat is out of budget. Eat before your flight. Seats are not the most comfortable."

Agents at Toronto gate was not nice, which was unfortunate because all othr AirCanada agents were nice and flights were smooth."
Nadelen: "Connecting flights were not convenient. First time AirCanada, and Kayak. Seemed I got a bad set of flights returning. Going was good. Got tricked. Suggeston of flights may have been available but did not know. Need more research in next trip. Agents, contracted agents at ticket counter in Atlanya, were very helpful. They were superve in helping me when a traffic accifent shut doen for 2 hrs and I was late on arriving at Atlanta airport."
