Nadelen: "Some of the smallest seats we have sat in on a transatlantic flight. TV monitors do not tilt so if the person in front of you reclines their seats it makes watching a movie very difficult. Forces you to recline but even that is not awesome. Very narrow seats."

Voordelen: "Because the flight wasn't full we passengers in the main cabin had the chance to spread out a bit more, which was great on such a long flight. Also the flight attendant let me have my scotch for free! Hooray!"
Nadelen: "Without power at each seat it's difficult to take advantage of the otherwise free entertainment that is only accessible through the app or on a laptop. There was a DC power outlet at my seat (not all of the seats in the main cabin even have that) but guess what--it required a cigarette-lighter-style adapter to plug in. I certainly don't travel around with one of those! And most of the other seats in the main cabin had no access to power at all. My battery wouldn't possibly last through a 7-hour-plus flight without supplementary power. Oh well, fortunately there are still books and magazines. Just like old times. Be more like United or any other international airline, American!"
Voordelen: "Everyone was helpful and fried. They did a real good job of moving people thru security fast. They processed like 150 people in line in about 10 minutes."
Nadelen: "We were delayed out of Chicago almost an hour because they had to scrape ice off the wings. I really stressed over possibly missing my layover. I ended up having to race to the it terminal in 10 minutes. I checked my bag because they said they were running out overhead space and then they went and put my bag on a LATER FLIGHT so I still don’t have my bag"
Voordelen: "Comfy seats and legroom in first class"
Nadelen: "Expected more than cookies for food in first class."
Nadelen: "Flight attendants completely unresponsive when overhead space was filled by a lot of backpacks that supposed to go under seats. Also, kept selling alcohol to people who were clearly drunk and were obnoxious and loud the whole trip."
Nadelen: "Unexpected extra charge for checked bag. We only had one each but paid $100! We booked 6 of us and 4 didn’t pay but my husband and I did. Don’t understand!"
Voordelen: "Arrived and left on time, something that really counts!"
Nadelen: "I checked in in Miami airport 12 hs before leaving. I was told by the fake friendly attendsnt that our seats , my husband’s snd mine, were separated. When asked to see if wevcould bd placed together she sarcastically commented that we had bought our flight through expedia and if we had dome it directky with AA we might have been together. Shame on her comment! AA offers their flights to many companies snd I now wonder if her comment is true, which makes me consider next time I choose an airline. In Buenos Aires when We checked in something similar happened and we could not book our seats the day before bcause they were all taken . The answer was if we wanted a better seat we’d have to pay because only back seats are available in economy and AA waits forbthose whi pay first and only then they”ll give us a seat. I”ve travelled several times with AA and feel the service is not worth the money I pay for it. The food on our flight back to BA was not good st all. However , I have to point out that all my flights BA to N Y, N Y to Mia and Mia BA left on time. On the whole it was good but I believe AA cares onñy about money and I feel disappointed"

Nadelen: "Nieuwe regels waarbij je je koffertje onder je stoel moet plaatsen of extra moet betalen om hem in de ruimte boven je hoofd te mogen plaatsen. Er is wel 5x gevraagd of ik wel zeker wist dat die van mij onder mijn stoel paste!!"
Nadelen: "They forgot to board my laggauge"

Nadelen: "I booked two seats for my girlfriend and I and were given two window seats. Bogged early enough so should have put seats together. Now knowing I needed the app installed on my phone to watch entertainment, and not having wifi to download. The AC vents are a bit too soft."

Nadelen: "Seats are miserable to try to sleep on an overnighter."
Nadelen: "Flight had a 4 hour delay - and an additional 2 hours on the landed plane before we were able to get off = massive 6 hour delay. Not cool!"

Nadelen: "Having to step down very steep stairs after an overnight flight and then board a bus whose driver is not sensitive to the fact that many are standing when he makes right angle turns. It was cool outside as well and all my winter clothing was in my checked bag. I had not known I would be exposed to the elements at the end of the flight. I could have been warned!"
Voordelen: "The drew and food were decent. In fact, there was so much service with food and drinks, I had to refuse a few times."
Nadelen: "AA squashed as many people in this plane as possible. No leg room whatsoever on an 11 hour flight."
Voordelen: "Flight was on-time, smooth, with friendly service."

Nadelen: "overnight flight. temperature set to minimum. no blankets provided. patronizing crew (blankets are "only for business class", because who cares if a few cattle freeze to death in transit)."
Nadelen: "My flight was delayed an hour plus and I missed my rental car reservation. So now I'm stuck wih no car."
Voordelen: "American airlines managed to get me to my destination."
Nadelen: "It was an awful ride. The food was horrendous. The plane was ancient. No outlets, no personal TVs. The plane looks like it was from the 1990s."
Voordelen: "Crew was very nice. Free snacks provided on plane."
Voordelen: "I liked the ease of the gate for the airplane."
Nadelen: "There was no entertainment. The airline did not offer a complimentary headphones, and failr sure the wifi was not even working. Also was not that big of a fan with the extra long layover. Was not a fan of the extra time in the holding pattern above Indianapolis, nor the extra time 150 feet from the gate after we landed."
Nadelen: "Space too tight. Nothing was offered to us, not even a cup of water. Staff not friendly, mean even."
Voordelen: "plenty of leg room. very little turbulence. fight staff was very professional. staff was very responsive to assist me in finding my passport which I had left on the plane after I had left the plane and gotten to my connecting flight."
Nadelen: "I wasn't pleased with the snacks. I recommend changing to different snack options; perhaps fruit snacks or nuts."
Voordelen: "Crew was nice"

Nadelen: "After having my flight delayed 4 hours causing me to miss my connection, I was placed stand by on a different flight through another city so I could try and make it home on time. I was the first person in line for stand by, but the flight was full so I knew it was a long shot. Waiting at the gate, I was excited because one person didn't show and they were giving him a two minute wait time before I could board. During this wait time a woman passenger came over and said she had just been given a ticket change at the gate counter. The agent at the gate was furious because the flight was sold out and said the woman should not have received a ticket, but should have been placed on stand by. She went over and scolded the other agent for this mistake. Okay, so she should've been placed on STAND BY behind me in line. After the unprofessional arguing between the two agents, they both admitted it was a mistake and she should be second in line for stand by, BUT they did not honor this and placed her on the plane bumping me. Needless to say, I missed my connecting flight because of this and extremely inconvenienced my family and in addition had to pay an extra 75 dollars out of my pocket to keep my dogs at their kennel an extra night because I arrived home 5 hours after expected. I understand that flights end up getting delayed and the agents are doing the best they can to accommodate travelers, but admitting a mistake and not fixing it to make it right is unacceptable. I notified American Airlines of my situation and only received a form letter with enough miles to get me 1/8 of a flight. I don't even care about the miles because I don't plan to ever fly with them again, I want the money for the dog kennel I had to pay extra. I was visiting my husband who serves in the US Army causing separation from our family for long periods of time and this extra headache and expense due to the mistake of American Airlines was disheartening."

Nadelen: "Everything! For starters, the seats. It seemed as if we were inside a cage where you can barely move your hand. Extremely disgusting flight!"

Voordelen: "Being on time at departure and arrival is a challenge, but despite having a completely filled cabin, they made it look easy."
Nadelen: "I boarded in Group 4 and all bins were full. So my carry on case had to be checked (several others’ cases as well). This caused me a 30 minute delay at baggage claim and some minor scuffs on an item that wasn’t designed for checking in. These are 2 reasons why I no longer check in. 3 is lost items."
Nadelen: "too long time before I was transportet with a wheelchair out to the flight. no food even not a biscuit."
Nadelen: "Did not actually get a Polaris type cabin layout. The plane had not yet been converted."
Voordelen: "Great flight"
Voordelen: "Comfortable. Good entertainment and good service. Crew was nice"
Nadelen: "Missed our flight from Brussels to Zurich. United said we were booked on next flight six hours later. Gave us vouchers and that was it. Went to check in and the carrier said sorry you can’t board United did not book you. The voucher just has prior info and this flight time. So we missed getting on that flight 3 total hours on the phone with United and they did nothing but put us on hold. Thank you to Brussels air who finally after many years and frustration helped us so we could leave. More than 10 hours later than we should have. Horrible experience and we lost a day of vacation and pre paid plans for the evening I will never use kayak again for international flights. As that was part of the problem per United (probably BS but won’t ever risk it again) and will never use United airlines again as their customer service and lack of caring showed that companies true colors. I hope the rest of this dream vacation is better than this nightmare was."

Nadelen: "Checking was chaotic with non working terminals and insufficient staff Plane was real old (4” scree...even my phone has bigger screen) Onboard drinks were exorbitantly priced (paid 8.99$ for gin and tonic where I got only half can of tonic) Food was ok"
Voordelen: "Nobody bugged me about plugging my laptop and cellphone into the wall for charging. I wanted to check out the spice shops in the airport but they were closed both times I was there. That would have been something I might have liked."
Nadelen: "Customs in Trinidad, even for transit is a pain. You go through customs, get dumped outside, have to recheck your luggage whenever the counter decides its going to open. 11 hour layover on the way down, 6 hour layover on the way up. Food options were fried chicken (KFC), fried chicken (Churches), fried chicken (the local franchise), and Subway. Since the layover was late at night and I was a woman traveling alone, I did not want to leave the airport (and still drag my luggage because the airline counter was not open yet to check in to my connecting flight)."

Nadelen: "Despite plenty of empty seats, the ground personnel would not consider changing our seat assignment at the gate to allow us to sit together."

Nadelen: "I never received my luggage. I waited hours and Swissport never filed a report. I did see the Brussels flight I should have gone on did depart late. But as I was waiting for luggage and they gave me a hotel room I hadn’t checked the screen. I was most concerned of the person travelling to pick me up in Bordeaux as it is a journey for them as well"
Voordelen: "Loved the hindu vegetarian food. Incredibly tasty and I didn't expect it. No delays. All went smoothly."

Voordelen: "Although I was allowed a personal item and a carryon. The agent at the plane doors ( Guyanese guy. Insisted I check my carryon, for the reason the flight is full name note I was the second to last person to boaRd the plane. I explained to him I had a shoetc connection to MIA and then to Frankfurter so I did not take any other luggage so I would not haveto wait. He insisted I will get my luggage as soon as I exit the plane in Houston, which I asked him 3 times . The plane was not full there were more than 10 empty seats and lots of luggage space.I got to Houstonew to be told I would have to go the the luggage belt to pick up my bag, which did not appear for half an hour after we landed. I was truly disgusted"
Voordelen: "Great crew and flight attendants, kept us informed of everything, very helpful and prompt on all questions and requests. Movie selection was impressive. Boarding was efficient and flight even left early. Surprisingly pleasant experience in economy for a long flight."

Nadelen: "One extremely tiny bathroom for the whole plain for a 4.5 hours flight. The bathroom line snaked through the plane the entire flight No complementary water or any sort of drink Seats were very uncomfortable I fly a lot and this flight was the worst by far"

Voordelen: "1. We booked seats together then when I checked in they had moved my seat and we were no longer sitting together. And then I couldnt get the window seat I had paI'd for :( 2. No boarding announcement and the "gate" was under construction so was a madhouse to board. 3. The crew member put her sweater in my food and pushed the coffee so hard to the person next to me it spilled all over him. To be fair she did apologize for throwing coffee on him. 4. The TV screens were so old you had to push the "touch" screen so your headrest kept moving if the person behind you couldn't decided what to watch... and then hard to watch anything yourself. The food was nasty."
Nadelen: "See above. I didn't like anything, this might have been the worst flight I've ever had to Brussels. I thought I booked a European carrier, but ugh it was actually United. They only care about business class and first class."

I was highly upset and that was unfair. Long story short, at boarding they were able to give me a seat. I should have never went through that stress if I had a confirmed purchased ticket from the beginning."
