The crew was very friendly and professional. The food was great. The check-in process took a long time, more than 20 minutes.
Voordelen: "The whole Business experience on SQ"
Nadelen: "During the same trip I discovered 2 different arrangements of the Business Class cabin on Singapore Airlines A350, SQ469 CMB-SIN, and SQ036 SIN-LAX. On the SQ036, I occupied seat 15 A (mono, aisle-window): I did not understand the reasoning behind this layout: Seat facing straight the front of the aircraft, but not enough space to stretch the legs, and limited height for the footrest, feet getting hurled against a ceiling very quickly, and also footrest only on one side = one foot. The deep cavity, that is probably meant to house the lie-flat disposition, is at a 45° angle with the general direction of the seat. I am 77 and not in any way a contortionist. I decided that the best course of action was to remain seated for the duration of the 14:30 hours, flight without extending my legs. Maybe the crew could have explained how the passenger is supposed to fit into that weird design, but I did not ask, afraid that the demonstration might reawaken chronic shoulder and hip pain. I would be glad to read (not test) how this configuration is supposed to convey the sense of comfort expected from a Business Class ticket. It did nothing of the kind for me."

Nadelen: "Ran out of options for dinner and could not eat the macaroni cheese they had on offer, so got 2 small packets of nuts instead...international flight running out of food options? Pretty slack. A part of the interior wall fell off onto my foot upon take off and I had to hold it in place for a while until a hostess came....doesn’t give you the best feeling when the plane starts breaking on take off. One of the male stewards was appalling towards a young mum I sat next too...too the extent of giving her dirty looks because she spilled a bit of water on the seat and then told her she had to pack everything away she was using, including the baby wipes! I stepped in and told him how this was not ok and all other staff members were helpful and he was making this Mum upset. He should not be working for such a people friendly reputable airline! Maybe Jetstar instead! Was appalled at the entire flight to be honest!"

Voordelen: "Singapore airline crew is always top notch in terms of service and attentiveness. It's a direct flight from Singapore to Canberra! Beats the layover in Sydney or Melbourne."

They're not lay flat seats, and I can't get the seat even close to flat because my feet jam in to the bottom of the seat in front of me. The food wasn't great, some of the meal which was supposed to be served hot was still cold."

Nadelen: "The crew was chronically rude to me. They would skip me when handing out beverages to everyone. I was lied to and passed down the beaurocracy over issues with my Stopover Holiday packages. They lost my bags. In Hong kong, I was told the designated smoking area in the terminal was close and the steward encouraged me to go...I almost missed the flight even though I didn't even make it to where she directed me. It was not close, she was a liar. They lost my bags. They kept calling me sir despite my corrections and obvious female anatomy. They had no remorse or apologies for their errors"

Voordelen: "We love the space in the seats on the new Airbus 380. It is so spacious, and the seats are very comfortable. The movie selection was pretty good."
Nadelen: "if I remember correctly the screen size was a little small for a new plane. Also I asked for two alcohol drinks, but was told only one may be served. I only asked so I wouldn't have to get up during my movie, and on Air New Zealand, they freely offer more than one drink. Also, if I remember correctly the arm rests did not raise all the way. We had all three seats to ourselves, and it would have been nice to lift the armrests all the way up so we could stretch out properly."

Very coordinated, very well setup and prepared. The stewards were wonderful. Food and service outstanding through the entire 13hr flight."

Nadelen: "I think the service of offering passengers to order their food online prior to the flight is nice, but in practice is inefficient and frustrating at service time. We chose not to order in advance as we didn't know what we wanted. I was annoyed and frustrated to have to wait for the crew to go to and fro with meals and drinks to the pre-ordered customers before being offered our meal. I imagine that if the entire flight preordered their meal, it was also not work so well..."
Nadelen: "No any explanation to delayed about 2 hours that resulted in missing the connected flight for more than 10 hours."
