What I got was SAW after I paid for a booking that said IST. Sabina Gokcen is one hour away further on the Asian side of Turkey. I did not want this airport! There was nothing I could do about this but bite the bullet & accept what I got since I was not allowed to have any corrections made after paying for this ticket. I am highly disappointed with Kayak. The first time you have disappointed me greatly!"

They ran out of the food I could eat, and there was a child kicking the seat behind me 70% of the 11 hour flight. My seat was broken and would not stay reclined. The flight attendants were not attentive. I pressed the button a few times (to get assistance with the broken items, and no one came. The 11hour flight was more like being in a shopping mall for 11 hours, people getting up and walking everywhere, talking in the aisles-I understand the children crying-but kicking other peopmes seats is unacceptable and the flight staff should address that if their training allows."

Nadelen: "The leg room was virtually non existent. I'm 6'3" and there was no room for my legs in front of me. I had to keep my legs in the aisle or in my neighbor's leg space (luckily, that neighbor was my wife so she didn't mind too much). When anyone passed in the aisle, I had to almost stand up. for a 12 hour flight, that was very annoying. Also, the boarding was the worst I've ever seen. The entire planeload was crammed into this tiny waiting room at the Turkey Airport before being herded onto a bus which was also way overcrowded. There was no room for the screening or for nearly half the people to sit. There was barely standing room for everyone. Due to the overcrowding, the room got really stuffy, stinky, and hot. Also, the screeners were contractors; there was no Turkish airlines folks to assist."

Voordelen: "They did get us other flights home and got us a hotel to stay in. There were meal vouchers but it was so late by the time we were rebooked we could not eat dinner and our flights left too early to be able to use them, but it was a nice effort on their part."
Nadelen: "They cancelled the flight due to mechanical issues which was understandable. The problem was the chaos at Frankfurt airport because the instructions given to us to get to the Lufthansa service desk were totally inadequate. At least we didn't have to sleep at the airport like some passengers did."

Voordelen: "I used to travel on Lufthansa almost exclusively until I had a very disturbing incident in Munich with a flight attendant. I refused to fly Lufthansa for quite a few years after that. That being said, the crew were attentive to passengers and the meals were reasonable. The seats were more comfortable than on LOT and Austrian. There were quite a few decent choices among the media during the flight."
Nadelen: "During my flight, my cell phone turned on at some point and downloaded some emails using the airplane's data connection. I will be needlessly charged for this. Once I noted that I was logged on, I tried to see if I could do other stuff before quickly logging off. It seems like it was totally worthless."
Nadelen: "This flight was the second leg on my trip from New York to Munich. Many people on the flight from NY to Brussels were scheduled on this flight and that plane landed in time that this flight would only need to be delayed 10 minutes to allow for us to connect. However, they decided to leave all of us with a long unexpected layover in Brussels, costing many of us a day of what was supposed to be a short vacation for most."

While our seats (located directly behind the Plus section) gave us extra leg room (I don't know why) we did not have the wider seats, food service style and menu as given to those directly in front of us. There was actuallly a barrier between them and us which hit me in the head every time I stood up! On a long flight from Munich to LAX we felt and were cheated."

I had work and responsabilities the next day. TThe scheduled trip was supposed to take off at 7:45. Boarding started late and was very slow. My bag fit the meassurements and still was forced to check it (which I did not want to do as I did not want to be waiting an hour for my bag at my arrival as I had work early the next day. In addition there was airplaine traffic as it was "rush hour" instead of flying at 7:45 we departed almost at 9pm!!!! Have to pay for food Quality of tv monitors very poor And in an uncomfortable position No movie options No wifi although stated the aircraft has Non functioning electrical plug"
Nadelen: "Never made it to San Juan to catch my cruise. To top things off I was a ship for two days without my luggage and underwears. Never again!!! Thank you JetBlue!!!"

My fight from San Juan to Miami on Friday Oct. 7 was cancelled because of hurricane Matthews, since I didnot buy a roundtrip with AA they did not reimburse or offer me a credit for my returning flight. I contacted AA in two ocassions and both times their personnel were impersonal and even rude to me with the whole situation. I ended up losing $250 because of choosing American Airlines. I will do my best to avoid traveling with American ever again, and I will spread the word, as well. I felt robbed, so unfair."

Le plus difficile pour moi est que votre personnel a New York était insensible a mes problèmes."

Nadelen: "I didn't get a call about the delay like other passengers, only an email at 7am as I was in line to check in for the 8:25am flight 395. The female crew members, a dark haired woman and a short blond haired woman both would have ignored me if the other two people seated by me did not also try to get their attention. The dark haired woman gave the guy next to me headphones and when I held out my hand she just looked at me and walked away as if she'd been called away. Which she hadn't she came back and started with the row immediately behind us and the guy next to me was nice enough to give me his. Also after nearly waiting 4 hours, 9 minutes before boarding we were given food vouchers and told to "run and hurry" and get food "to go" so most people didn't even bother using the vouchers because of that. I've had better flights with American Airlines, I just didn't know this one would be so poor. Definitely way below average expectations."
Nadelen: "After an 8hr flight from Madrid to JFk you dont need an 4.5hr delay on your connection flight."
Nadelen: "My headphone jack only had sound in right ear. Headset was horribly uncomfortable so even if I did have sound the headphones hurt too much to use. Should be able to use your own headphones but there was no option to because of the double jack"
Voordelen: "I had a hard time, the connection flight left us, the flight from Charlotte took to long and took off late."
Nadelen: "There were no more flights that night and had to wait till the next morning, I am hándicap and although they gave me a room in the hotel it was very hard, they took my carryon again and have to sleep like i was, very unconfortable."
Nadelen: "Old plane for a long trip (Charlotte to San Juan) in First/Business Class with no entertainment. It was like flying in a "more space seat", without seat back entertainment. First time it happens. Have flown several times in First/Business Class from Miami to San Juan and it has been a totally different experience."
Nadelen: "Finnair used American Airlines and they end cancelling the flight without giving me vouchers for hotel, food or taxi after a three hours line plus four hours waiting on the gate. I was able to be on another flight next day because I call a 1800 number. They have a lot of employees with bad actitud and not willing to help. Inside the airplane they charge for food and the television is a common one that they put whatever they want."

Nadelen: "Old Plane. No entertainment. It was terrible."
Nadelen: "1.5 hr on runway to rebalance load at then fight crew went over their work limit. Very poor planning."
Voordelen: "Crew offered beverages twice in a 4 hour flight; however, that could be done more often. Average overhead storage."
Nadelen: "I couldn't find the power outlet for charging my phone. The I took a photo to where the outlet should be and the module was gone, and looked like burned. Not a good feeling in a 4 hour flight and part of it over the Atlantic. Also, in a 4 hour flight, they should offer some cookies or peanuts. It will reflect some customer appreciation."

Nadelen: "Business section was contaminated with roaches. Food is never great on commercial airlines but it was just not good plus the roach factor which had some passengers a bit uneasy about the food . There was no entertainment on a flight that is over 2 hours long. I was not offered any drinks up to the point where lunch was served. American needs to get their act together."
Voordelen: "Cabin crew was pleasant and personable."
Nadelen: "Flight was canceled. No preparation. Took three hours to speak to agent, by which time all flights out that day had left or were full. Terrible meal provided the night if cancelation. On flight, meals were poor. No personal in-flight entertainment and movies shown were older. All around terrible flying experience"

Voordelen: "The entertainment system with movies was great, with plenty of choices and good sound. The crew was very good. Legroom on the seats was good. They kept the temperature in the plane just right. We could board first because we had a 5-year-old child."
Nadelen: "Flight was delayed an hour leaving Chicago, and arrived an hour late in Madrid. The screen was not updated in Chicago to let us know what was going on. It's a mass of people at the gate, with very little systematic lining up. One luggage piece did not come out on the carousel in Madrid. We had to wait 1.5 hr at the airport to confirm that they would send it to our Madrid hotel. Hopefully it will come. The food was mediocre. Pasta for dinner with little to no meat. Not even fruit. They are clearly saving money on the food."
Voordelen: "Our flight to Bologna via Madrid on Iberia Airlines was wonderful from take off to landing! Friendly, courteous staff. Good food and entertainment."

Voordelen: "I was moved to an aisle seat b/c there was a couple that wanted to sit together. I appreciated that food was provided, but it felt very rushed. I enjoyed the in flight entertainment as it helped the time go much faster. The crew was very nice and did their best to keep passengers comfortable."
Nadelen: "The flight itself was probably the most turbulent flight i've ever been on. In addition, boarding and de-boarding took a long time. we had to just stand and wait for both - for a much much longr time that normal. They were able to make up the time in the air, but it felt unusually long to both board and de-board."
Nadelen: "I do not like that I can't check onnline. They mention that because the reservation with Fianair, I only can do the cheking at the desk."

In a regular meal, they got other perks such as a cake, candy, yogurt, and salad with dressing and a better main meal. Vegetarians can eat cake, candy, and yogust. Also, salad dressing such as ranch or something would be nice. I don't think this flight understands what vegetarian truly means. It does not mean salad and fruit. We we also not given bread that comes with butter. Begetar I and eat bread. Also, for main meal for vegetarians pasta with marinara or patio sauce or a cheese pizza slice would have been nice. Please look at British airway and other airline vegetarian menus for Better sense."
Nadelen: "Food and lack of good movies especially international entertainment. There were literally 4 options and 3 were Spanish. What about movies in hindi language (indian) or Chinese."

I got home, I unzipped my bag and I do not have a pair of sneakers that were a gift for my baby and some other sweets, my luggage was half empty! The face of my disappointed kid broke my soul, that should not have happened."

Voordelen: "Check-in and baggage drop was fast. Food was good. Cabin crew did their job. Economy plus seats are comfortable and leg room was ok (I'm 1,84m tall). So, smooth and easy flight."
Nadelen: "We arrived with 20 Minutes delay...and it was just the first shuttle of the day... could have been better"
Nadelen: "Our flight was DCA to Boston then to Lisbon, with similar return. Our return flight into Boston arrived early enough to allow us to get an earlier flight home but TAP customer service wasn't open until after the earlier flight departed. Also, Jet Blue, the domestic carrier, could not change our flight because it was booked through TAP."

Nadelen: "The attendant who checked me in at the Porto airport was very rude and sarcastic. At the gate they said the flight would be delayed half an hour, however they just called us to start boarding a half an hour after the flight was expected to leave. At that time the passengers of the previous flight were just starting to leave the plane so everyone that was about to board then had to stand in the freezing cold tunnel way with all of our bags for another 20 minutes while the previous passengers got off. There was no food or any beverage other than water offered on the flight."

Nadelen: "Booked my flight in January to ensure good seating for my family. Checked in day before departure and all my seats were changed. Also on my return flight. No notifications. We ended up all the way in the rear of the aircraft. Totally unexceptable"
Nadelen: "First flight was delayed by just a half an hour and we arrived in Portugal. We had a connecting flight to AMS with also TAP and had a two hour window to make the next flight with the same company (TAP). We were in line for passport and then security and talked to several TAP employees and they said we would be have time and wouldn't have a problem catching the second flight. Well, we got through the lines with 30 min before our next flight and they wouldn't let us on. Customer service and organization of the airline is really poor. The aircraft had minimal room and no entertainment. We got on our next flight five hours later and all they gave us was a $10 food voucher. So poorly managed."

Voordelen: "I was lucky enough to be awarded an upgrade to Business Class on this flight... Relieving the tension of overbooking in economy..I guess my lucky day.."

Nadelen: "At the check in, despite that I have a swiss passport, 5)3 hostess looked solely at my face and assumed I need avisa and asked me three times for my visa. On the flight, blankets are removed 20-30 minutes before landing during which I was freezing. Upon arrival, my new bag i hadnt used as yet was broken and TAP pays nothing and does no kind of exchange for broken bags. Basically- they dont care! During my return flight, despite being checked in adn being at the airport wel ahead of time, the airport clerks gyided me to the wrong desk and I had to wait longer than needed. The check in for baggages had closed by 1 min. They were allowing me to take the flight only if I threw out all my liquids or else were off loading me. They proposed no other solution and wanted to make me pay 450 dollara to put me on the flight the next day. I had an interview the following day and needed to return. I ended buying a new full fare ticket with British airways and got excellent service. I am yet to complain to TAP."
Nadelen: "Due to a strike in security at the Lisbon airport our fight was delayed 3+ hours. We were boarded on the plane and sat there for over three hours without any information from pilots or crew on why we were so delayed or when we would be taking off."
Voordelen: "The crew was always smiling and friendly. The food was better than it usually is, and I was frequently offered something to drink."
Nadelen: "I didn't receive a headset for my first flight, though I did on the return. Also, I couldn't turn the monitor off, which made it impossible to sleep."
Voordelen: "They were hospitable, cordial and always with a smile. The fact they provided a full meal on board was surprising to me, after flying with several carriers I didn't expect it. Keep up the great work!"
