Nadelen: "Our ticket said economy, but it was a specific set of economy that did not include any baggage. If we were warned prior we could have purchased it for significantly cheaper. Our ticket was not clear and it cost us 175usd for two bags at the airport. Very disappointing"
Voordelen: "This is obviously a very well-run airline. Boarding was efficient, the crew were warm and professional, and the overall feel of the aircraft was very Scandinavian-cool. I was most impressed with the meal service. We were served twice on our 9 hour flight, and both meals were hot, healthy, and the best I’ve had during a flight. The passenger in front of us was having a hard time with her sinuses, and the flight attendant (whose name I wish we had gotten) was very attentive and concerned for the comfort and well-being of the passenger. She insisted on doing anything she could to alleviate the woman’s difficulty. It is clear that the crew care about the passengers’ experience."
Nadelen: "We were unable to sleep at all during our overnight flight and landed pretty exhausted. Our seats were comfortable (complete with a moldable headrest to keep your head from bobbing around) but we felt too upright to fall asleep. The passenger in front of us reclined, but we were concerned about reclining into the already tight space of the passenger behind us. So we weren’t able to sleep, despite trying to get comfortable/somewhat horizontal. It seemed to be a mixed bag of asleep and awake passengers on the flight, so some people were unaffected by this issue."

The entertainment options were limited compared to Turkish, Emirates, Lufthansa or Qatar, but enough for a 7 hour flight and then some. Also, I liked that there was a bottle of water on each seat for people to hydrate. Very important, and I haven't seen any other airline do it."

One of the highlights was the check in - this is often a long and frustrating process, however this could not have been easier and so quick. Voordelen: "The seat, the screen, the plane. Premium Economy in Iberia is totally worth."
Nadelen: "The power source wasn't working, Premium Economy pax can't go to the Business class restroom, although is just next to their area and have to cross half of the plane for the 1st Economy class restroom."

Nadelen: "Missed connection due to Iberia. Rerouted to JFK after overnight delay and had to transfer to Newark. Upon arrival at Newark, which we had to arrange, we were notified that the flight was changed back to JFK. Turned a 12 hour travel day into 36. Horrid experience."

Voordelen: "Our flight was subcontracted through another airline, Level, so my comments are related to Level."
Nadelen: "I called the airline a week before our departure regarding the baggage fee. I was assured the fee was included in the price. However, at the time of check in, I was charged a $55 checked bag fee."
Nadelen: "On time, food is ok."
Nadelen: "The plane was an Airbus 330. I'm 6'2" and was uncomfortable in the seat for 7 1/2 hours. My knees hit the seat in front, and later the person there reclined to make things even worse. Since I couldn't slouch, my head was far above the seat back. I realize airlines are squeezing space and this trend will continue. It's become an accessibility problem for me."
Voordelen: "The plane arrived safely, it will get you where you want to go."
Nadelen: "Like everyone says, you are cattle jammed in a sardine can. Barely any leg room and I’m 5’3. Other thoughts: the plane was old, my seat had a lump in it, zero entertainment, food was over priced. (3 Euro for a tiny water). This may seem petty but ultimately the appearance and function of the plane represents their company as a whole. From my first impressions, I’m thinking as a passenger is: I just hope the age and appearance of the plane isn’t reflective of their repairs and maintenance work as well."

Nadelen: "Couldn't check in online and couldn't get my boarding pass to my second flight through Iberia, had to do it at Madrid and it was very inconvenient."

Nadelen: "The internet was very, very expensive! $35 for very very slow internet that didn't work half of the time. Also, before I departed from the US, the customer service rep at JFK made me purchase a refundable plane ticket for $2500, and charged me a non refundable fee of $35 for booking the flight for me ( I asked how to do it via the Iberia website on my phone and she refused to help me, and the website makes it extremely not obvious how to book a refundable flight). She said because my flight was one way to Europe I had to have an onward flight, even though I was traveling by car outside of Europe. She said that they would ask me for it at customs when I arrived in Europe. Well they have never asked me for this before, and they did not ask me this time either when I arrived, so this whole exercise was pointless. When I called to get my ticket refunded, they also charged me a $25 fee for refunding the ticket, which the agent in NY did not tell me about. So I just ate $60 for no reason. In addition, the customer service person was very rude about the whole thing."
Voordelen: "It was on time, very smooth flight. Price was great, bought last November, $365 round trip non stop"
Nadelen: "Seats too close together"
Voordelen: "I liked the food and the fact that we could have wine with dinner."
Nadelen: "I didn't like the boarding procedure. There was an announcement for business class first, but then there wasn't enough said about the rest of the boarding i.e. "Group one can board now." Everyone was moving forward whether they were in group 1, 2, or 3. It was disorganized and not handled in a fair and efficient manner."
Voordelen: "This was a long international flight so we got dinner, snack, and breakfast included. Food was decent, service fine, and entertainment selection was good. Also, since it was not a full flight, there was extra room and therefore a comfortable flight."
Voordelen: "not budget airline"
Nadelen: "nothing different with budget airline, small seat, paid food and seat..."
Voordelen: "Everything flowed very smoothly desite the fact I had an irregularly shaped carry on. It was no problem, Staff were positive and acomodating and that lead to passengers being accommodating to each other. The intertainment was great, the only draws back is that I slept most of the time and wanted to watch another movie."
Nadelen: "That I had to bother the person sitting next to me to get up when I wanted to go tot the bathroom, but he was very accommodating"
Voordelen: "great service and nice flight. great pilots and safe trip."

Nadelen: "the last truck (madrid - tel aviv) was not with the same airbus that the 3 others (tel aviv - madrid / madrid - buenos aires / buenos aires madrid)... it was like flying in low cost with food (even the chair could not go backwards...very bad the last one"
Voordelen: "Flight attendant didnt help to pup up my luggage; even water was not free"
Voordelen: "Very good food overall. Picking up utensils a little slow. Good coffee. Lavatories were accessible at all times. I was able to get aisle seat without a hassle. Good movie selection l. Movie quality itself was disappointing l."

Nadelen: "Check in gave my wife 2 seats on Madrid to Dusseldorf flight plus 1 for myself. On connecting flight from Dusseldorf to San Francisco she only gave a boarding pass to my wife so we had to scramble when we got to Dusseldorf to have AirBerlin resolve the issue."

Nadelen: "Had to buy food and the sandwiches were soggy. Wouldn't accept credit cards at first, staff tried to push cash payment until finally getting a different credit card readee that worked."
Nadelen: "I am still waiting for my luggage. It was lost between the flight from Amsterdam to Madrid and a flight from Madrid to San Juan. It is already 1 week."
Voordelen: "I liked the entertainment, the food and the good service from the ladies and gentlemen"
Nadelen: "the flight over LAX to Madrid was horrible. An old plane, both my husband and I had broken seats, no screens, and no charging capability. The flight from MAD to LAX was much better with a newer plan. I would however, not fly with Iberia again, because the out bound flight was so awaful. So average rating is okay."

Voordelen: "Boarding and disembarking were the best things about this flight. The piloting was smooth too."
Nadelen: "Stewardesses were unfriendly and rude. Long flight, without individual entertainment on seats. Old plane, extremely cramped. The meal request made when booking the flight was not honored. Upon arrival to US customs, was told I was not on the passenger list (thus clearing customs was a bit touchy)."
