Nadelen: "I had a terrible experience on my flight from BLR to LAX on 12/30/2016. My flight from BLR was delayed for 3 hours because of fog. I had a connection flight from Dubai at 3:15 pm the same day and I was going to miss it. I had a flight from LAX to SFO(I had booked this separately via a domestic airlines) on the 31st at 10 am. The ground staff at BLR told me that they would put me on the 8:30 am flight to LAX on 31st. That would mean more than a 12 hour wait at Dubai airport and they informed me that accommodation would be provided. Based on this I rebooked my LAX to SFO(I paid extra for this) for the next day. On reaching Dubai I was told that I will be put on the 3:30 pm flight on 31st instead of the 8:30 am flight. That would mean a 20 hour wait at the airport. I was also given a SINGLE food voucher and told that no hotel accommodation would be provided. I was also going to miss the LAX to SFO flight which I had rebooked. I requested the ground staff to try and put me on a direct flight to SFO instead. After begging them for a while they put me on a stand by status on the 7:30 am flight the next day. I spent 12 hours in the airport. That flight was further delayed by 3 hours. When my husband contacted the customer service on 31st morning, they told him that accommodation would be provided and sent me an email confirming that. This was in the morning after I had spent 12 hours in the airport. If accommodation was available why was I told by the ground staff that all rooms were full? I also saw them hand out hotel vouchers to other passengers with shorter wait times than mine. Was it based on their nationality(I sincerely hope not but the reviews I am reading of Emirates online suggest otherwise). Fog and other weather conditions are completely understandable but the discriminatory behaviour of the ground staff in Dubai was really disappointing. This new year weekend was my honeymoon and it was completely ruined because of this trip."

Nadelen: "Flight originally booked with 2:30pm departure time, was pushed to 4:30pm a few weeks in advance. Then the flight was delayed on the day by 30 minute intervals until 9pm. Finally, we were switched to a different gate to board a different plane. Then sat on the plane at the gate for another hour so they could load all the bags. We didn't take off until 10:30pm- painful."

Nadelen: "No available SkyTeam lounge unless you had a business class ticket. As a Diamond flier, I can always access the SkyTeam lounges. Audio for boarding was a little unclear so there was some confusion at boarding. For reasons unknown, my bag was moved from one overhead bin to another. Very frustrating since I board early to avoid this confusion and hassle."

Voordelen: "I had ordered a dairy - free vegetarian meal for the international flight. Initially the attendant brought me a vegetarian meal with cheese, part of the regular meal options, then she found the one with my seat number that was dairy - free. It was quite tasty! And I was grateful, since I would not have been able to eat the meal with dairy. It is not a preference, dairy makes me ill. The delay departing from Brussels caused us to miss our connecting flight to Denver, but our provided hotel accommodations in NY were quite comfortable. One item of note: The LaGuardia staff person, who made our arrangements for the overnight stay, said there was a shuttle from the hotel to JFK ( where our flight was in the morning), so she did not give us a travel voucher for the morning. The Hotel only has a shuttle to LaGuardia; it never has a shuttle to JFK. It seems the staff person should have known that. When we called Delta to ask how we should handle that, Delta kindly offered us reimbursement; it was just a phone call and a mailing for us and for Delta that was extraneous. Our interaction with the staff person was entirely pleasant, we were just surprised that there was misinformation."

Nadelen: "The flight was delayed by 3 hours. They didn't tell us it was delayed until 2 hours before the flight, by which time we were already at the airport. They first delayed it 1 1/2 hours and then another 30 minutes every half hour. The airline/crew never even acknowledged the delay or apologized for it."

Nadelen: "There are no blue US custom declaration forms on the flight anymore. Many people cannot access the automatic kiosks, and I wish we could still have access to the forms while on the plane. It is stressful to have to do it after landing, with no real place to write. The flights were both fine, but the layover in DFW was a nightmare. Thankfully we landed 30 min early, but we only made our connection with a few minutes the spare. We ran through the airport, and had to ask many people if we could go ahead of them at the security. We didn't have time to use the bathroom and buy water/food. I understand this is not the airline's fault, but I would recommend extending the minimum connection time at this airport."

Nadelen: "The aisles are too narrow. As passengers are boarding and you sit in the aisles you are constantly struck. FAA should investigate with the decreased aisle width and distance between the seats, can the evacuation be completed within required time, in an actual emergency. American Airlines is endangering the lives of passengers. And the cramped conditions are contributing to the hostile actions of some passengers. What does it take to do what is right?"

Nadelen: "The space in Economy is not humane! And I am a slim 15 pd woman! Food is the cheapest. No headphones offered. Pathetic pillow. Service is minimal. All AA does is get you from A to B. Really doesn't care about the experience AT ALL."

Nadelen: "From the get go it was an awful experience ... I travel with an emotional support animal as does my husband because we don't do well with flying. I have anxiety to the max about it & my husband gets ulcerative colitis flare ups any time he's stressed out which is usually while we fly and having our dogs with us turkey makes us feel better. When I called to tell them over the phone we would have our emotional support animal I got an attitude as if I hadn't been doing this for the last 4 years. She reiterated to me that we needed in addition to the letterhead from the doctor a form filled out (which we both did ) . Brought to the airport and sit had to sit at the counter like the girl didn't know what she was doing. Fast forward to finally getting to the gate after being stressed and our flight was delayed. This now only made our 50 min layover in DC 20 min by the time we landed. We ran from one gate to the next hoping we wouldn't miss our flight and when we got there they wouldn't let us on the plane saying things like "your dogs are not on this flight" "there is no documentation" "well then you must not have the right paperwork" ... in front of a bunch of people in line, out of breath, and now embarrassed I am forced to take out my folder and give them all the paperwork I had just given to the customer service desk before our first flight. They let everyone on the plane and still made us stand there and finally said "just go but your dogs aren't on this flight". Fast forward AGAIN to sitting on the flight the flight attendant comes over and says "guys where's you carrier the dogs need to be under the seats" .. we peoceeded again to explain for the seventh time that they were emotional support animals ... she then proceeded "no they are not they are not even listed on this flight" at this point I'm EXTREMLY embarrassed because people on the plane are paying attention and drawing attention to us but not only that ... I have been doing this for years .. I ALWAYS have the proper documentation as does my husband and we have never ran into this kind of disappointment and embarrassment from any airline until now. I was so stressed out to begin with and this deffinately didn't help ... nor did it make us wants to fly on American again. I felt pushed aside, embarrassed, and belittled by multiples employees ... all because the first employee clearly made a mistake and didn't document things correctly ... that should have never been put on us ."

Voordelen: "FAs were so pleasant, so different than usual, that it reminded me of the good old days. They were also more attentive than usual."
Nadelen: "AA's domestic IFE product is generally an embarrassment - they seem to think it's still 1995. No choices in first class? Come on... Pleasantness of the FAs more than made up for this."

Voordelen: "Everything was generally very professional."

Voordelen: "Flying first class, but I paid for that so doesn't say anything about the airline."
Nadelen: "Leaving late and then waiting 1 hour for luggage to reach the carousel in Fort Meyers. Because two other flights were at the same airport at the same time. For example, they knew three flights would land at a certain time ( at the time they were scheduled to arrive) and then somehow the ground crew was surprised."

Nadelen: "That you guys didn't tell any info about visa to travel to Paris. They didn't let us in."

Voordelen: "Cabin crew was pleasant and personable."
Nadelen: "Flight was canceled. No preparation. Took three hours to speak to agent, by which time all flights out that day had left or were full. Terrible meal provided the night if cancelation. On flight, meals were poor. No personal in-flight entertainment and movies shown were older. All around terrible flying experience"

Voordelen: "Again, ground crew took good care of me and saw me to the baggage pick-up. You have lovely staff."

Voordelen: "It was okay, but I feel no one really cares anymore it is just a Job....... on my flight from Canada to Florida on Feb 8 th it was a horrible experience. We were almost 4 hours late due to no crew or pilots. This is my last time flying with Air Canada. Way to much stress for people who have so much stress in there everyday lives. This should be a no stress way to fly. Just sayin"

Voordelen: "I never got in my flight home for my aunts funeral and to get back to work because nothing on your website warned or notified me that I needed a visa just for a connecting flight on Air Canada so not only did I lose my money I was denied my flight denied the chance to be at my aunts funeral and get back to work. So my honest opinion is that I am extremely disappointed and deeply saddened by this evtire ordeal now I have to spend more money to purchase another ticket with another airline to go home. Thanks for the hassle! Aslim Hosein."
Nadelen: "Seriously? NOTHING AT ALL and I wish I could select no stars"

Nadelen: "Une agente de air canada, qui aide les passagers et verifie si les valises de cabine sont reglementaire, a l'aeroport de fort lauderdale ne ma pas seulement mal acceuillit mais elle ne ma pas donner ou offert un service a la clientele digne de la compagnie aerienne Air Canada et etait tres desagreable. Finalement il c'est averer que mon bagage etait reglementaire et ma valise cest briser pendant la verification de celui-ci en le mettant dans la mini cage en metale pour verifier la grosseur. Celle-ci ne c'est meme pas excuser ou souhaiter bonne voyage. Une chance que j'ai passer de belle vacance."

Nadelen: "TV wasn't working at all which made for a very long flight! Food selection ran out. I felt like the plane was old and outdated."

Nadelen: "Coût des bagages 25$ par valise pas indiqué lors de notre réservation de vol via Kayak. On parle alors d'une augmentation de 50$ du coût du billet. Pas assez de personnel à bord. Assis à l'arrière et le premier breuvage nous a été offert que 2,5 h après le décollage!!!! Pourtant le personnel n'a pas arrêté de faire tout ce qu'il pouvait mais en nombre suffisant pour répondre adéquatement à la clientèle. Les sièges semblent avoir diminué en dimension et on ne se sent pas à l'aise lorsque que l'on mesure 6pi et plus et pèse 200 et plus sans pour autant être obèse."

Nadelen: "Les toilettes au fond de l'appareil uniquement, on ne peut pas s'y rendre quand on veut si les hôtesses sont occupées au service. La sélection de films n'est pas énorme."

Voordelen: "J'ai eu la chance d'avoir de l'espace pour les jambes donc un confort pas si mal malgré tout , le personnel est très courtois super !"
Nadelen: "Je suis déçue que maintenant il n'y ai aucune télévision ou divertissement à bord surtout pour un vol de 8h !"

Voordelen: "Plane left on time, smooth flight, arrived on schedule."
Nadelen: "1. Food very substandard. Hot food not very well prepared and rather tasteless, and snack was like a cardboard wrap with some salsa sauce in it. A disgrace to a major airline like Air Canada. Selection of drinks very limited. 2, Staff persisted in speaking mostly French, on an international flight. Some announcements were made only in French. As a Canadian, I can follow French, but let us remember that English is the international language. To use French is not fair to other nationalities, who expect English. 3. Seats far too close together for a long flight. There was more legroom on the Jazz flight from Montreal to Ottawa! 4. Entertainment kept breaking down. Headphones for my wife did not work, and eventually both of our screens went dead. Her's quit right in the middle of a movie. Bad!! 5. Boarding passes had zones on them, but these were totally disregarded in boarding. This resulted on overcrowding, long waits, etc. Hard on older people!"

Voordelen: "Entertainment on this flight was comparatively better than the flight we took from LAX to Toronto...Snacks was also better on this flight than the LAX to Toronto flight which really confuses me as to why?"
Nadelen: "The wait time though for our flight was 6 hours and there were 2 or 3 other earlier flights to LAX that day.."

Voordelen: "Media and staff very good"
Nadelen: "Airport was empty, plane was empty. But still had to wait to get on due to filled with people who put suitcases away that sat near front but not first class."

Nadelen: "L'app n'a pas fonctionné sur ma tablette donc rien à faire pour 5 heures. Même avec l'app ne fonctionne pas trèes bien."

Voordelen: "Onboard service staff were very good."
Nadelen: "Flight was one and a half hours late leaving."

Nadelen: "L'équipage n'est passé qu'une seule fois, en début de vol, pour proposer un snack... Sur un vol de 4h c'est insuffisant, j'aurais aimé m'acheter (eh oui, en plus il faut "acheter" !) quelque chose à grignoter en fin de matinée."

Voordelen: "We loved watching the movie "Keanu" together on the rented iPad. The soundtrack was hard to hear on the earbuds though."

Nadelen: "4h de retard, on nous dit qu'aucune "voucher" d'hotel puisque le retard est dû est la température à chicago (d'ou provient l'avion) alors quil fait beau la bas et un cile sans nuage.....de plus, l'agente au comptoir qui s'occupe de nous imformer refuse de nous aider et distribue plutot des depliants avec on # de telephone pour que les gens appellent par eux meme....tres decue d'air canada et de son manque de communication ainsi que de la facon de transmettre l'informtion! De plus, tout etait fermé a YUL alors meme pas possible d avoir un café! 3 h + tard nous avons eu breuvages chauds et biscuits expirés..."

Voordelen: "Personnel courtoie et attentionné. Je me suis sentie en sécurité. Très bon vol."
Nadelen: "Je n'ai rien de négatif á rappoter."

Nadelen: "Rien à manger, et aucun film pour un trajet de cette distance. Pas de confort, mon garçon qui mesure 5p11 ne savait pas ou mettre ses jambes"

Voordelen: "films, efficacité de l'équipage"
Nadelen: "configuration de sieges 3-3. Tout le monde déteste être dans le milieu et réserver 24h à l'avance ne laisse plus grands options."

Voordelen: "Tout était parfait, excellent service"

Nadelen: "As expected with Air Canada, the service is awful with bitchy stewardesses, the food is poor, the plane is falling apart. Midway through the flight, the plane looked like a pigsty with garbage everywhere. When serving the meals, the stewardess just said to everyone, "You want it or not" and moved quickly with many people wondering why she was behaving so rudely. In addition, we couldn't get clear information about the baggage allowance. This is partially due to booking through Kayak where they don't tell you the baggage limit and some of the flights were code share flights even though all were with Air Canada. Couldn't tell if we had 1 or 2 bags included. This didn't help with our packing. In the end we had 2 bags and wish we bought more stuff."

Voordelen: "Its entertainment"
Nadelen: "very uncomfortable coach seats and 4 hour delay in Vancouver airport"

Voordelen: "Tous les services étaient très bien."

Nadelen: "The flight from Toronto to Washington DC was delayed for more than 3 hours and there was not even a drink offered for the inconvenience."

Nadelen: "Flight was delayed nearly two hours. Gate signs were never updated. 7 gate attendants spent 1.5 hrs standing at the gate talking laughing and joking amoungst themselves. They appeared annoyed when anyone asked for an update. They finally announced they were waiting for a wheelchair to unload a passenger from the previous flight. They announced they were ready to board zone 1 and 2 and then did nothing for another 25 minutes. Funny when we finally boarded nobody ever saw a wheelchair go on or off the plane. Understand that flights are delayed but no updates or explanations and a gate crew that seemed annoyed that the passengers were disrupting their social time was unacceptable."

Nadelen: "Same as above. everything was bad. from service and communication."

Voordelen: "I bought Business Class because the rate was very competitive. Seat was comfortable enough. Flight departed nearly an hour late, but arrived early at the destination, which helped."
Nadelen: "The flight attendants in first class honestly seemed overworked and had no time for anyone. A request for a mixed whiskey beverage brought a Diet Coke instead. The attendant didn't seem to care at all when the mistake was pointed out, nor did she fix it. Snacks and drinks were essentially flung at us with the care of throwing slop at farm animals. Which pretty much describes the quality of the meal."

Voordelen: "La bonne hummeur de l'equipage malgré tout"
Nadelen: "Retard de 3h00, la lenteur dans le service des repas, le pilotage effrayant."

Voordelen: "Amazing legroom!"
Nadelen: "Poor selections of snacks and drinks"

Nadelen: "The entire Air Canada computer system was down for 45 minutes, and we had to run to make our connection, which we barely did. If the entire system is down, why don't they put a 45 minute hold on the flights since they know that everyone is late? Plus, one of the representatives gave us false information."

Nadelen: "5 hour delay. Didn't get the correct seat."

Voordelen: "Le sourire du personnel et toutes les petites attentions. Vous avez avec Air Canada Rouge des jeunes qui ne demandent qu'à faire un travail exemplaire. Ils aiment leur travail et cela paraît."
Nadelen: "Vous pourriez offrir des grignotines pour les gens qui n'ont pas de $$$ pour se payer un lunch. Ceci n'empêcherait pas la vente de nourriture mais serait apprécié par les familles. Ce n'est pas mon cas je voyage seul et je peux me payer des extras mais pas tout le monde peut le faire. Surtout quand tu as des enfants."

Voordelen: "Flights were all on time, crew and staff was very nice. Food was better then other flights I've been on."
Nadelen: "Seats were so uncomfortable, smaller and did not recline as much as other air canada airplanes I have been on. There was no entertainment for the almost 7 hour flight unless you uploaded the app prior to boarding which we were not told and could not because our devices, or you rented a tablet (which for this long of a flight it shold be included). The cabin was warm and stuffy with not much airflow which made my motionsickness worse and the plane was all on one setting so I could not control anything."

Voordelen: "The note from above critique is for the Toronto to Philadelphia flighted"

Voordelen: "the crew members were very helpful.friendly and accomodating."
Nadelen: "no real concerns.If anything being a 3 and half hour flights snacks could have been served"

Nadelen: "I asked a crew member to find me a empty space near me so that i don't need to store my luggage in the way way back, and she said she was too short to open and close those overhead bins. SERIOUSLY, HOW DID YOU GET THE DAMN JOB"

Voordelen: "Comfy seat, good food, great attentive service and wonderful safe take offs and landings! Also we received extra treats for their inaugural flight from Brussels to Toronto."
Nadelen: "Nothing"

Voordelen: "La gentillesse des hôtesses."

Nadelen: "The plane was very old. No outlet to plug electronics. Small screens for video"

Nadelen: "Delayed an hour on mechanical problems..but free movies and TV provided to help ease pain"

Voordelen: "indulged by the service and plenty of food"

Voordelen: "Crew. Entertainment. Food. Leg room was a bit longer than usual."
Nadelen: "I was unable to pre-order a kosher meal through the web site. Customer service could barely write in legible English and in essence told me to take a hike. Flight was bumpy both ways for quite a while. What's the point of giving me a boarding pass in Tel Aviv if I need to go to the United transfer counter in Brussels and go through the process again, including a TSA (friendly) interrogation?"

Voordelen: "Friendly crew, decent food, good entertainment options to make the flight feel shorter."

Voordelen: "Excellent service and a safe flight."

Nadelen: "The temperature on the plane was close to that of a freezer. Very cold for some unusual reason. Otherwise a great flight -- on time departure and arrival -"

Nadelen: "Sadly, the crew seemed miserable. Nobody smiled. Especially the male flight attendant. We felt more like a burden than a guest. Sorry, but it was true. I believe it was our first time flying united. No snacks on the flight, just drinks, that's ok though."

Nadelen: "No leg or arm room it's like a Cattle car We are not cattle! Would it kill you to give a few more inches in either direction? NO it would not !"

Voordelen: "No delays."

Voordelen: "Nothing"
Nadelen: "This was a mess as the attendants didn't not have my transfer ticket It took them for ever till the last minute when was called by the Microphone"

Voordelen: "Prima vlucht van Honolulu naar LA in moderne Boeing 737-900 van alle gemakken voorzien."

Nadelen: "Never gave me the option to select seat."

Voordelen: "The airport was nice and had plenty amenities. Good restaurant choices, places to shop, plenty of places to sit and relax with cell charging stations. Lots to keep you entertained while you have a layover."
Nadelen: "Plane was over crowded.the seats are narrow and uncomfortable. Person behind me was constantly kicking the back. I was in the window seat and the guy next to me had a large athletic physique and was over-flowing into my personal space. On top of that he had a severe case of toxic flatulence."

Voordelen: "We took off 4 hrs late because of a brake issue. But we did make it. They didn't cancel."

Voordelen: "Nothing . Over packed, no were to put my carry on. Un comfortable"

Voordelen: "Prompt departures, pleasant staff clean plane"

Voordelen: "cheerful, helpful crew text message giving me flight updates"
Nadelen: "flight was late due to unavailable equipment no peanuts for those of us who must have gluten-free snacks"

Voordelen: "Flight wasn't that long. Experience was okay. Flight was full. Attendants did their job. Some were more polite and helpful than others."
Nadelen: "No request was made for the outbound flight which I want to comment about. At Dulles Airport, I checked in at the Brussels Airline counter, only to be told that since I was on a flight operated by United, then I had to go to the United Airlines counter to check in. At UA, I was handed a boarding pass which advised that my seat will be assigned at the gate. I saw on the monitor where the available seats were-1 window, the remainder middle row. I got the feeling that since I bought a ticket which cost less than what the other United Airlines customers paid for, then I was being relegated to seats that the other travelers didn't desire."

Voordelen: "coffee was good"
Nadelen: "Only got to serve it once due to turbulence"

Nadelen: "People were not told where to get their transfer boarding passes until last minute. Security check of "random" passengers was overboard. I wasn't one of the passengers who had to undergo the extra security at the gate, but felt bad for those who did. Completely unnecessary.."

Nadelen: "A 1 hour delay in Brussels, combined with the complexity that is Dulles resulted our missing our connecting flight. The United employee who rebooked us for the late-night flight five hours later put my wife and me on separate rows, requiring a second wait in the lengthening lines to sort out. Avoid Dulles. Avoid United."

Voordelen: "There were good movies."
Nadelen: "Food didn't look great. There was a vegetarian option, which was nice to hear, though I opted to just eat food that I bought since the food looked like TV dinners. Also snacks were like pastries and cheese/meat sandwiches, which I didn't try. I would appreciate healthier snacks, like fresh fruit, or failing that, dried fruit and nuts. Also there were no electrical outlets, which made it a lot harder to get any work done on the flight. For such a long flight this was disappointing."

Voordelen: "Videos on United flights kept getting re-started"

Voordelen: "The seating was very good and so was the flight"

Voordelen: "On time"
Nadelen: "The way they board the plane is rediciulous, this 1-5 boarding process is horrible."

Nadelen: "Delay"

Voordelen: "The flight never took place, and I was never notified - not by United, not by Kayak, not by anyone. I called Customer Service on March 31 when I was notified the flight from Marrakech was rerouted to Liege, Belgium and was told to take a bus to Brussels. When I got to Liege, I was boarding a bus to Brussels when someone told me the airport was closed. I then got my flights rebooked on Lufthansa. Why was I never notified that the United flight was cancelled? I haven't checked on it yet, as I just got home after flying 3 flights from Liege instead of 1 flight from Brussels. I understand the situation is bad, but why NO NOTIFICATION?"
Nadelen: "No communication - very wierd"

Voordelen: "The crew was so pleasant and the plane was very clean"

Nadelen: "The departure monitor first said "on time," then "awaiting aircraft," with ever-later estimates for departure. There was little confidence that there would even be a plane."

Voordelen: "On Time, polite smiling crew, happy passengers, overall excellent."

Nadelen: "Lost my baggage and a lot of others'. At midnight, the wait was interminable. The boarding order made no sense. There must have been 10 groups named."

Voordelen: "Faster, no problem with cabin pressure"

Voordelen: "Delays for myself and many other passengers that made things difficult. This happened on both of my recent flights with United. I will do my best to avoid flying with United from now on."
