Voordelen: "My partner and I loved our first flight with Swiss from JFK to Zurich the chairs was amazing, we enjoyed the full bed and the entertainmnet screen was amazing to enjoy. The food was delicious and the service was amazing."
Nadelen: "My Partner and I was dissatisfied with our connecting from Zurich to Cairo. We expected the same flight but we were in basically in coach with little more leg room. The chairs barely reclined to a comfortable position. There was no entertainment, just a three and a half hour flight at the flight plan on a small tv hanging over. their was no differentiation between the economy behind us. just the food that was brought to us, other felt the same as well who were traveling in business with us."

Neither of those were present on this flight. Calling this a business class is a rip off."

The meal I originally was given was included milk and cheese ingredients and after explaining what vegan actually was they did their best to help my situation. My first flight with Swiss to Switzerland included the correct "vegan" meal do I can't understand how this mistake was made by Swiss on the return flight?"
Nadelen: "I did not receive a "vegan" meal as ordered originally and though they were very helpful they should all be better educated regarding the differences between "Vegan", Vegetsrian, Lacto-Ovo, etc... Since I was embarrassed as I had to keep rejecting the food they gave me until I educated them on the basics of what Vegan food is... They were very helpful throughout."

Nadelen: "The plane arrived in Boston 50 minutes late, because we left Zurich late. That was because we were waiting on people to make a connection. Which was probably because their SWISS flight was late. Why are all SWISS flights running late??? There was no coffee or tea on the flight because there was a problem with the electrical system of the hot water machines. That could have been fixed before we left.... The entertainment system is clunky, and it didn't help that it had to be rebooted (took 20 minutes !?!?) in the middle of the flight to deal with some 'isssues'. The big boxes with the entertainment system underneath the seats are not fun either, they really cut into legroom. In general, it seems this plane is in need of a bit of an overhaul and maintenance. And whatever happened to Swiss punctuality? I'm not used to SWISS flights being late. You can do much better than that, you used to!"

Nadelen: "Check in time at the swiss ticket counter exceeded one hour. Too little space per seat. At breakfast, I was asked by the steward to bring my seat forward (presumably so that the people behind me could have more space?), when the people in front of me were reclined: my face was literally centimeters from their seat, which made eating breakfast difficult and unpleasant. The breakfast rolls were clearly not fresh and we're tough and dry, inspite of having been heated."

Instead Zurich-Belgrade WITH SWISS AIR i was rebooked to Zurich-Munich LUFTHANSA then Munich-Vienna LUFTHANSA and then Vienna-Belgrade AUSTRIAN... Lufthansa is not on my list and I was forse to fly with company I don't like... So disappointed by SwissAir..."

Nadelen: "The flight boarded late, however the day before when I tried to check in, the website wasn't recognizing my details, didn't have the Belgrade airport listed for me to check in, the web support wasn't working and when I finally called the help support number listed it was a number for Lufthansa and they could not help me. In this day and age, the websites should be better or at the very list the correct phone numbers listed."

Went to the wrong gate for my connecting flight, Turkish air rep at the gate checked my boarding pass, didn't say a word about me being at the wrong gate. Tgere was no announcement of any kind (found out later, Turkish sir doesn't do announcement at the Istanbul airport. No clue as to why). Thought, tgere was another delay and by the time I asked, it was too late to catch my flight and that's when I got a full dose of every single person w Turkish air trying to stiff me with the most outrageous penalty for changing Nguyen my ticket. Started out at $1114 on a $758 ticket, then went down to $925 and if I stay over night, down to $750. Seriously? Rude, talking down at me and telling me that if I don't pay the penalty, my return ticket will be cancelled. I keep getting bounced from one person to another being told to wait here and wait there then I finally got so sick of all of it, bought a new connecting flight online, spending the night in Istanbul and will see what will happen w my return flight to the US. I call this 'theft' as, if i buy an entire new ticket from Istanbul to Cairo then back to the US online, it will cost me less than the penalty they're trying to get me to pay. Shame on you Turkish airline!! You'd think w all the issues they're having w tourism in their country these days they'd care about not doing this kind of mistreatment of their clients."

Nadelen: "First let me tell you that when I booked a flight to Istanbul from Brussels, I booked, so I thought, the airport called Istanbul Ataturk with the initials of IST. What I got was SAW after I paid for a booking that said IST. Sabina Gokcen is one hour away further on the Asian side of Turkey. I did not want this airport! There was nothing I could do about this but bite the bullet & accept what I got since I was not allowed to have any corrections made after paying for this ticket. I am highly disappointed with Kayak. The first time you have disappointed me greatly!"

This caused massive confusion and I ended up running around the airport to get to my gate. Also there should not have been a second flight listed on the boards because there was no second flight. Very frustrating..."

Complicated flight schedule Malaga-Munich-Frankfurt-Buenos Aires with extremely short lay-over times in Munich and Frankfurt should have been prone to all sorts of problems with other airlines, but not with Lufthansa. Kudos for this! On top of this, extremely comfortable flights with good food, drinks and services topping it off for a most enjoyable Business Class flight experience, if such a thing exists."

Waiting for long time in a crowded bus to NORAD the plane then rushing out of the bus to Nita the plane with no lines and having to wait for the crowds outside the lane in a freezing temperature. Furthermore, there was no entertainment on the plane and the food was horrible. Add to this the very cramped seat space and no carry ons in the plane (unless you speak German)"

Nadelen: "This flight was the second leg on my trip from New York to Munich. Many people on the flight from NY to Brussels were scheduled on this flight and that plane landed in time that this flight would only need to be delayed 10 minutes to allow for us to connect. However, they decided to leave all of us with a long unexpected layover in Brussels, costing many of us a day of what was supposed to be a short vacation for most."
Nadelen: "Dear sir or Madam, I’m writing this complaint as I feel so mistreated and so disrespected, I had a ticket# 2208688265549 with a confirmation# WP6DHB travelling from Tulsa , OK, USA to Cairo, Egypt. Everything was great as expected and recommended by my uncle who travels with your respected company at least twice a month till I got to Frankfort airport to take flight# 0582 from Frankfort to Cairo. I was stopped while heading to the plan by the flight manager as he called himself later, and told me that I have to only have one item on the plan, I already had one carry on and my hand bag that has my laptop and the charger, I told him that I was told by Lufthansa customer service the night before traveling to confirm the luggage weight and size that I’m allowed one carry on plus personal item like a hand bag or lap top bag and they have to meet specific dimensions. I even offered to call the customer service number for verification, he replied ‘’I don’t care, I’m the flight manager and you will do what I say’’. His words were really hurting, I showed him the tag on my carry on that I got from the previous flight it said (approved carry on) don’t remember exactly what it said, he reached to my carry on and tare that tag, I didn’t think that was appropriate even if the tag had no value he doesn’t have any right to touch my luggage without my approval, then he tried to grab my ticket from my hand saying I will get you off the flight, I got really upset and told him don’t touch my belongs. There was a moment of silence because I think I raised my voice (my apology to him and to the company for that), I realized that the conversation is not going any where so I decided to file a complaint (not because he wanted to me to only have one item but mostly because of his attitude) so I asked him for his employment ID number he walked away without saying anything, waited till he walked close enough that I can ask him again this time he refused to give me his employment ID number, asked him for his name he said it so softly, I asked him to spell because I didn’t hear it right he said it so softly he refused, then I had to look for his badge and the name on the badge I believe his first name started with P and last name started with T. I waited a few days till I got to talk to my uncle and told him what happened as he is the one who recommended Lufthansa and he has a lot of experience with your services he said that they might need to do that because the flight was complete and they want to offer luggage place for everybody, but what I surprising is there was many empty seats on the plan my seat was 032C and the 2 seats beside me (032A and 032B) were empty also there was a lot of carry-ons room everywhere. So I don’t know why he was this way with me, I’m really disappointed specially that is only my first flight with Lufthansa since 2015, that flight manager made me have an extremely rough experience. one more thing when I told him I’m going to compla"

Rude, disgusting, disorganized. Took forever to board and disembark the aircraft. If I didn't have to fly to Cairo for work I would never take this flight again in my life. Not much you can do as an airliner though, maybe just warn the tourists about the flight."

Voordelen: "In terms of things I liked flying with UA998 from Brussels to EWR: The boarding staff at Brussels airport was helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. Boarding procedure was smooth even with the extra security screening at the gate."
Nadelen: "It was quickly clear to me that the passengers where simply an inconvenience to some of the crew on UA998. As an example I fell asleep during take off and woke up in the middle of the meal service. The cart was only a couple of rows behind me in the half-ful Economy Plus section so I got up and tried to get the attention of the staff. The lady turned around and confirmed that "I had woken up" with a sigh, as is not only was it inconvenient to her that I was a sleep, now I had the nerves to actually ask for a meal. She presented me with the options of pasta and chicken and I politely asked what they where served with. She straight out said that "she really did not know that" and asked me to make a choice. I wont get into any other examples, the machine was half full at best and there was no stress, so frustrating to be treated like you are an inconvenience to the USA based staff who clearly just wanted to be left alone. The entertainment system barely worked, the touch monitor was very hard to operate - the pressure sensitive functionality was not working properly but I managed to get to my movie and avoid the Chinese subtitles in the third try. I fly United because it's part of Star Alliance, but otherwise I would try and avoid at all cost."
Nadelen: "It was raining and cold and we were told to get out of the bus to board the plane, even though there were still many people trying to board the plane. Got wet in the rain on a cold morning before boarding."
Voordelen: "Melanie/ticketing was superior in securing seats on a different departure. She endured many nervous travelers. The new itinerary matched our original time of arrival at ORD within 2 hours. :)"
Nadelen: "The free check-in of our carry on bags only dissapointed us when not arriving at ORD. We expect them to be delivered soon."

Nadelen: "Generally, I'm a happy camper and easy to understand some "discomfort" that comes with traveling. Return trip operated by United. Terrible experience. No legroom[I'm 6'-2"]. The seat confinement was so stressing that it was impossible for me but just to extract myself and find a place where i just could stand. Meaning I was standing most of the trip. My wife and myself are globetrotters and this was one of the worse flight experience ever."

Nadelen: "The A321 aircraft was not interiorly designed for decent Business Class seating, as was our reservation. This contrasted dramatically with the Aircraft from Toronto to Frankfurt, which was truly Business Class Journey. One might call it Premium Economy but certainly NOT Business Class seats. The Ground crew before Boarding were a mess, no proper announcement, not keen to organise passengers, and just filling up the Bus as if filling a can with sardines! One Washroom, excessive long wait to get there, if at all, and despite the crew's help."
Nadelen: "They lost my bag and refused to deliver it to my house once it was found. It is still at the airport"

Nadelen: "I tried to reschedule due to a death in the family and due to the "small print" this was not possible. Then when I did travel, it turned out I didn't have the right for a piece luggage (again "small print"). I paid for the extra piece and I was double-charged (same amount withdrawn twice). Now I have opened a complained with Austrian and they haven't responded so far."

Nadelen: "Chaotic boarding process, no clear communication with passengers, delays in boarding not explained, people sent away or told off, huge attitude and chip on the shoulder. In the U.S., we are customers that paid for a service and are asking for details on that service. In Europe, we are annoyances that depend on staff at the boarding gates to get on the plane, so power tripping and general disdain to customers beings confused are part of the game. I will try never to fly Austrian Airlines again. Absolutely unacceptable behavior toward families, mothers with children, senior citizens. I can almost see the smirks and annoyed and superior attitude of staff at the boarding gate when they had to deal with more passengers asking why boarding hasn't started half an hour ago when we were announced it would. No answers, just show me the passport and boarding pass, ok, please go back, we'll let you know, then ignore questions."

Egyptian error on the other hand had very gracious staff, very comfortable seating, and while the food was average it was better than Austrian air"

Nadelen: "My father and I were seated in biz class but were unable to sleep because of a fan noise directly over our seats in Row 9. We complained to the attendant about it but she was unable to determine the cause. Many hours later, a different crew member identified the noise source and stopped it by simply flipping a switch. This disruptive noise could have easily been avoided but the ignorance of the crew member to whom we complained failed to solve it. By the time the second crew member identified the problem there was not enough time to sleep. This experience was extremely disappointing. We paid extra to fly business class so we could sleep, but this ridiculous crew error fouled our plans. We asked the crew to file a report about it and they did. Look into it. We expect a refund of the extra fare we paid, or else we will never fly Austrian Airlines again. I am an affluent person and I travel internationally 6 times per year. You would be smart not to anger me and lose my business."

Not true I was at the back of the plane. Just awful"

Nadelen: "My experience at Vienna airport was HORRIBLE. No jet bridge -- stairs to walk onto the tarmac. Board a crowded bus to get to the terminal. The terminal was a nightmare...up the stairs, down the stairs, walking forever like a mouse in a maze. Very inefficient and crowded conditions at the gate for boarding. Not enough information as to what's happening. I felt like a sardine in a can! The personnel at the gate were not at all friendly or forthcoming with information."

I feel taken advantage of paying $44.00 U.S. for a snack that was 22 Euros. It happened again with another vendor there..$6.00 for a 3 Euro small bottle of water."
Voordelen: "Typically, flying coach is a pretty unpleasant experience. You feel like the airline has shrunk the seats to as small as possible, food is scarce and bad, entertainment choices are limited, and you have to pay for headphones. My recent experience with Austrian Air was just the opposite. Seats were comfortable, leg room was good, entertainment options were plentiful and free, the food was actually surprisingly good for airplane food, and the flight attendants were extremely nice and responsive. As an added bonus - red and white wine were free on the flight and both were actually quite delicious! Finally, our flight was smooth and on time. I wil go out of my way to book my next international flight on Austrian Air - it was a clearly superior experience than flying coach on nearly any other airline."

Nadelen: "Because I booked tickets with baggage included, and when I was at the airport I had to pay again 50 euro per suitcase. Who will pay for this mistake?"
Voordelen: "The one good thing was that they delivered me and my luggage safe and sound to the destination."

Nadelen: "Hi, We've booked the flight using Kayak, with VAYAMA agency. It was clearly stated in the e-ticket that we were allowed a baggage of 23KG piece for our infant baby. (it was a lap-ticket, no seat) When we arrived at the check-in counter, they said that because it was a lap ticket, we are allowed only a baggage of 10KG piece. We were delayed at the checkin counter with a baby in our hands, and humiliated (as people in the line behind us started to get nervous). I'm definitely gonna write a mail to VAYAMA agency. And I'm extremely disappointed. At the end, after maybe 20 minutes (which seems like forever) they let us check in the baggage we had."

Nadelen: "The AirFi system allowed for movies and games on one's own internet device, but did not allow for an internet conection during the flight to email or surffing."

They were kind to invite first families with children to pass to the bus but this meant sitting in a sauna @ 40+ Celsius until all passengers went through the gate. Driver was all red and close to fainting. Pity, I was looking forward seeing one of the big managers coming next to us to enjoy the Tarom experience...!"

Nadelen: "No vegetarian food option. Pretty poor food as a whole. No entertainment unless one connected to their WiFi. Crew rather basic as far as manners are concerned. I got treated better on Romania-based low cost flights."
