Voordelen: "I did upgrade to economy premium which is why the flight was very comfortable. Would not have upgraded except I made a mistake in the currency conversion and thought the upgrade was cheaper than it was."
Nadelen: "Did not really like the chef's cuisine as opposed to the one on my outward flight to Japan which was excellent."

Voordelen: "The crew was very friendly and helpful! A smiling face makes a huge difference! The airline was excellent with our luggage, transfers and boarding. Easy to fly!"
Nadelen: "No entertainment. Still a long flight for kids."
Voordelen: "The flight attendants were very attentive and polite, seats are some of the most comfortable of any airline I've flown (particularly compared to the US domestics), and entertainment is solid (although the English movie selection was not that large). I would definitely recommend JAL to others."
Nadelen: "The food was not to my liking (i.e., all Japanese style, but not necessarily types that appeal more to Westerners) but it was palatable."
Voordelen: "Lots of legroom"
Nadelen: "No complaints I was pleased"
Nadelen: "How about being stranded at Narita Airport due to bad weather AND not helping your passengers rebook. Told us the flight was cancelled at 10:30pm when suppose to fly out at 7:30pm. No trains or hotels available, only way to rebook was through their phone service? Which didn’t open until 8am. Why not rebook at the ticket desk, guess what? You can’t!"
Voordelen: "Food was excellent and service came frequently. In-flight entertainment was amazing."
Nadelen: "You mean the flight that never happened? The one that was suppose to fly out at 12:50 on 1/6/18 delayed until 17:25 (with acceptable communication the first delay) but then later delayed till 00:10 after I’ve already arrived at the airport early for the 17:25 departure. The screens with arrivals and departures posted that Checkin was open but there was no JAL staff to answer questions. Then getting an update “maybe” the 00:10 flight is cancelled? What is maybe cancelled and JALs phone messege still said the flight would depart at 00:10. So I go back to JFK because after all “maybe” isnt a definitive and according to all the direct JAL sources the flight is suppose to depart, I get to JFK the second time only to be given a printout saying the flight is cancelled with no rebooking, and to call for assistance. The same number is been calling for hours trying to get answers. coukdnt reschedules because I’m calling outside of business hours! I spent $200 on cab rides going back and forth to JFK to go nowhere, get no apology, no new flight booking, and no reimbursement for transportation."
Voordelen: "Everything was wonderful. However, it was a little too warm on the flight for our liking. Other than that, we had a great experience."
Voordelen: "The staff helping to check in was amazing. There was an error which checking in at LAX, we didn’t have our seats assigned. Ali was able to get us seats together, and by a window at that! She was incredible and super helpful. I knew it would be a great flight just from her service at the beginning."
Nadelen: "I wish there was a paper that showed you options for food/drinks. The language barrier was a bit difficult at times but the crew was incredibly patience and made sure we got what we asked for."

Voordelen: "The crew, the flight, the pilot to cabin communications, the food, and the movie selection was amazing. I am so happy that I flew Japan Airlines on my return trip. I would highly recommend them for your travels."
Nadelen: "A Japan Airlines employee escorted me every step of the way to ensure that I made my connecting flight from Tokyo to San Diego because I only had an hour and ten minute layover and this can be challenging when you’re in a foreign country. I cannot thank Japan Airlines enough for how easy they made traveling and how comfortable they made me feel. I Highly recommend flying Japan Airlines for your travels."

Voordelen: "When I checked in for my flight it was fast, efficient and friendly. Their Manila staff is awesome! I was very impressed and happy with their service. I will be using JAL again."

Nadelen: "How long it took the flight attendens to come back and take trash and out trays for both of the meals. It made it super uncomfortable in the tiny space available. Also, not enough knee space, especially when the person in front of you puts there seat back. I flew with American Airlines on the way to Japan and I had plenty of room but I wish it was the same coming home."
Voordelen: "We were numb from a long flight over the ocean. Pleasant flight with helpful crew, and it helped that some of them knew English."
Voordelen: "Plane was not sold out, I was able to have the roll with my girlfriend. All flights should be like this."
Nadelen: "They made me pay for a seat that they gave to other people for free. Really messed up."
Nadelen: "Never make it on flight because the connection flight so messed up. Need to purchase new ticket with different airline finally."
Voordelen: "The flight's timing and airports are perfect for a short weekend getaway between Seoul and Tokyo. JAL service is also perfect!"
Voordelen: "L'équipage est très avenant et n'hésite pas à parler un anglais compréhensible pour les étrangers. Mes deux vols n'étaient que de 45min mais nous avons eu droit à un accès wifi et une collation (boissons). Ponctuel et pilotage souple."
Voordelen: "Cabin attendants were nice. I got sore throat so I asked some items, like water or candies. Then they served me them nicely."
Voordelen: "Crew was friendly. Economy seats were far more generous than AA. Premium Economy was a great value! I will look to travel JAL over AA more in the future."

Nadelen: "The food and overall service amenities are lacking in JAL. My flight was 8 hours and only one meal was served and one snack. The meals themselves are nothing special or enjoyable."
Voordelen: "My seat and my son's seat were booked apart on the both flights. So I requested the representatives at the check in counters at both airports to change our seats so that we could seat next each other. They were willing to help us out and we got the great seats. They had to ask other customers to help this out, too. In the airplanes, the flight attendants were extremely helpful and friendly when we asked them questions and favors, with nice smiles and calm quiet voices. No wonder the atmosphere was very relaxing and quiet during the both flights. The leg room was roomier and the facilities were newer. When I saw three pilots bowed to the customers before getting into the airplane, I felt they were very professional and ready for their jobs."
Nadelen: "Some food items were too Japanese. Dried Natto snack was especially weird for my son."
