Nadelen: "My seat was horrible. I'm sure it was like that for everyone in economy. The seat can't recline putting me in an awkward position for the entire flight. It was a red-eye so I didn't sleep much. Maybe it was the airplane since I flew with ANA last year but with the 787. The difference is almost night and day."

Nadelen: "I was seated at the exit isle, ample of leg room, but the seats were very narrow. I barely fit into the seats. I noticed the seats behind had smaller arm rests so they had more space. The movies on board need upgrade."

Voordelen: "After some considerable panic at losing my long confirmed seat assignment as a result of weather problems in Tokyo, the doors ended up closing with at least 20 empty seats in coach. (Boeing 777-300)"
Nadelen: "Although it is served with care, the food on ANA (in coach) ends up being a bit too Japanese. I understand this carrier needs to cater to a broad cultural and geographic audience, but I think they make it too complicated. Giving meal service a decidedly Japanese angle results in main courses that are mush, and sides that are OK. Good yogurt, decent fruit, delicately prepared salads, delicious cookies and hagen daz are pretty simple and make the meals fun. (especially since chop sticks are always included), but the ovens turn the main courses into a stinky and kinda nasty thing. I wish they would simplify."

Voordelen: "ANA did a great job of keeping customers informed about every detail regarding the delays we experienced with the flight. ANA did a great job of finding me a new flight when delays caused by the ground crew caused me to miss a connecting flight."

Voordelen: "My 96-yr-old father was given an airport wheelchair after we checked his own transport chair. He was wheeled through security and to the departure gate. We were advised they changed us to a bulkhead row w/an unoccupied seat adjacent to his. Twice during the flight one of the flight attendants came to tell him that she would help him off the plane so to wait for her after the rest of the passengers disembarked. The meal was very tasty.Chicken karaage was not crispy but I wouldn't expect it to be. The rest of the items were well seasoned with the right consistency. Dessert was a flan custard with passion fruit sauce (very Hawaii!), even including a few seeds from the fruit as garnish."

Nadelen: "kayak should let you know when buying the ticket that the first portion of the flight codeshare with united express doesn't cover a second bag I called ANA they said i could bring two so I did but I was charged 100 dollars for it even though it was an international flight with ANA also united express shattered the outside of one of my checked bags so I paid 100 dollars to get a 50 dollar suitcase BROKEN UNITED won't respond to my inquiries. I am very disappointed."

Voordelen: "The crew was fantastic! Our needs were constantly being met and just about the time you thought you might want a snack or a meal, the attendants were already heading down the aisle. Because of an allergic reaction, I asked for ice a number of times and the attendants were more than happy to meet my needs."
Nadelen: "The seats were very close together. The trip from New York to Amsterdam seemed a lot more comfortable than the return flight. The food from NYC JFK was better than the food from Amsterdam. The movie selection on both flights was a little disappointing."

Nadelen: "The boarding area was total chaos. In order to get to the gate I had to literally fight with the 100s of people who were waiting in the same area. No priority was given to family with children or elite members. Even when we complaint at the personnel we were told that “it was busy”. Usually KLM flight from Venice depart from the first floor where gates are bigger and you get straight with the finger to the airplane. Today it hasn’t been the case .... too poor service for a KLM fight"

No rushing was needed though, the flight was delayed for 1:30h and after we all boarded a further delay was announced. I will never fly with KLM."

Nadelen: "When I bought the ticket I thought it was air Canada but it was air Canada rouge so no food no entertainment tried to download air Canada app but took about an hour to get 10 percent done so flew with no entertainment no drinks no food nothing. Boarding was a pain had a three year old also had to pay extra 50 dollars for my baggage. Typical air Canada nonsense. Would not use them again."

Nadelen: "Flight was delayed over 2 hours on New Years Eve and in return, we were given $10 food vouchers... only problem was most things were closed in the airport because it was New Years, and what was open the $10 barely covered it. In flight entertainment wasn’t working properly and frequently cut out. Eventually gave up."

Nadelen: "Overall experience with kayak was too poor and I paid a fortune just to have my flight changed, spent 8 hours in Frankfurt transiting no advise from kayak and no way to contact kayak"

Nadelen: "Hard seats, no room for carry-on luggage, and not even a free cracker."

Nadelen: "Boarding took forever. There was a child that screamed the entire way. Wish flight staff was trained on calming children, even though I know it was just bad planning on the parents. Also wish there was a hygiene policy. Half the flight was not wearing deodorant, and you could tell."

Nadelen: "This was a +10 hour trans Atlantic flight. We walked on and immediately noticed there were no TV screens. I expected that the crew would be handing out portable screens instead which would have been ok but pretty inconvenient. This was not the case. We asked the crew and were told that to have entertainment for the flight we would have to download the Air Canada flight into our OWN devices and connect to the airplane wifi. They also explained that you can't download the app while connected to the airplane wifi so anyone who wanted entertainment had to scramble to download the app while we were still on the ground and Use cellular data! at this point 300 people were either panicking because they didn't have a personal device with them, didn't have a charger for their device and so would have power issues or were forced to use up roaming data because they had non Canadian phone plans!!! At the very least staff should have told passengers about this setup while they were waiting at the gate, so that people would have time to download the app with airport wifi! add to all this the fact that the app was extremely low quality and the options for movies/show were disappointingly dated and limited. This was not officially a cheap low cost flight for my family but the service we got certainly would categorize it as such. Very disappointed."

Voordelen: "My good friend John came to pick me up even though it arrived at 1 am instead of 9 pm....."
Nadelen: "The wait for plane to be ready. There was a technical problem which delayed it. They gave us a discount coupon and I don't even know what kind of discount we will get. They should have just given us a free one way for a similar route."

Voordelen: "Flignt from Honolulu to Vancouver delayed. Return flight also delayed."

Nadelen: "Flight cancelled until the next day and then delayed again without sufficient notice . Air canada hasn't offered us anything worth making up missing a day out of our vacation"

Voordelen: "I didn't like anything. This was a major disappointment."
Nadelen: "It was delayed 2 hours. Also, they announced at the airport that there were no monitors on the plane and we should download the Air Canada Rouge app. The connection at the airport was poor so I couldn't download the app but my friend did but she still couldn't watch anything on the airplane even though we were told we could get the app and get the on plane entertainment. I just couldn't believe that in 2017 there are allowed airplanes in such poor condition in the air. Also, I was traveling with 2 children and the airline didn't accommodate me at all. Many seats were empty and they put me in a full row. I had to sit on the floor for 8 hours so my children could stretch and sleep and the fly attendant didn't even bother to ask how I was doing but they would frequently bumped into my children's feet in the aisle. Also, a passenger's seat behind me fell apart. I could write an essay about this airline. Never again!"

Nadelen: "I avoid rouge at all costs and recommend others to avoid it too. I hate the lack of screens and zero complimentary food. A pretzel would impress me but I relate air canada rouge to delta or united and always have weak experiences compared to other aircrafts."

Voordelen: "I liked the organized boarding process."
Nadelen: "Rouge Flight entertainment does not even come close to any other carriers entertainment system. Additionally, if you have a PC your're out of luck. It only works with IOS. Funny, it took me over an hour to find this out prior to the flight. The ground crew were all clueless if I could use my PC. I could have used my Smart Phone but it's kinda on the small side to watch a full length movie and drain my battery to 0. The Air Canada website was equally not helpful. I had to purchase their Ipad rental for $10 Canadian Dollars in order to watch a movie. Funny, they only had maybe 12-15 movies to choose from. Additionally, the bathrooms were disgusting and had broken parts everywhere. Flight was filthy. Looks like their just trying to scramble turning their flights around. I felt sorry for the people waiting in Honolulu for their flight back to Vancouver. Shame on you Air Canada. Time to upgrade your fleet please. You need to have better cleaning crews and definitely upgrade your Rouge Player system to accept PC's."

Voordelen: "The smiling and helpful crew members"
Nadelen: "The seats were uncomfortable and the tv didn't work well"

Voordelen: "The movies, and the snacks!"
Nadelen: "There was 2 passport controls, and the plane was late ; therefore, we had to wait 6 hours for our next flight. Knowing that we had another flight to catch - why couldn't they have held up the one going to Seattle? Originally, it was 5 hours for the next flight, but, that flight was delayed. NEVER will we fly through Canada again. Honestly, we can drive from Vancouver to Seattle in 3.5 hours!"

Nadelen: "Flight was delayed 2 hours due to mechanical issues. Can't be helped, but made for a long day."

Voordelen: "Are you joking I waiting my plane since almost 4 hours"

Nadelen: "Not the most comfortable aircraft"

Voordelen: "The crew on board were good."
Nadelen: "I wasn't able to check in online or through the kiosk to my flight and then had to wait in a 2 hour line to check in at the counter. After I get to the counter the ground staff grumbles and says I'm just going to make it to my flight!!"

Voordelen: "Flight attendants friendly and helpful."
Nadelen: "Seats very uncomfortable - no legroom. Flight comong home delayed several hours because of maintenance problem."

Voordelen: "Nothing"
Nadelen: "One attendant walked by offering water - nice that they offered water in the middle of the flight. But she didn't even give customers the chance to raise their hands bec she walked by so fast saying "water, water, water." I wasn't even dozing off and I couldn't catch her and I was sitting by the aisle. Dirty bathrooms with doors that don't lock - not just one particular stall but more than one stall."

Voordelen: "I thought the crew was awesome. Very friendly, but the bathrooms definitely needed to be taken care of. SO dirty."
Nadelen: "TV wasn't working at all which made for a very long flight! Food selection ran out. I felt like the plane was old and outdated."

Voordelen: "On time. Comfortable plane"
Nadelen: "Extra security and customs checks changing planes in Canada"

Nadelen: "They need a better system for boarding. It took forever to get us all on board. And it was hard to hear which zone they were boarding since the passengers were so noisy. there should've been lanes for the different zones so they could usher us all in orderly. It was a chaotic mess without lanes. There was no entertainment if you didn't download their app onto your electronic device. No snacks were offered either. I didn't pay for a meal but it would've been nice to have some pretzels or something like that. The controls for the lights, and attendant call button were on the hand rest. It was very uncomfortable since it was a raised section, and more than once I turned on the light without meaning to do so. I won't fly Air Canada Rouge ever again, if I can help it."

Voordelen: "This was a horrible experience throughout. From the start, we were told to board but left standing on the jetway for 15-20 minutes before we were allowed to board the plane and take our seats. Went downhill from there."
Nadelen: "Uncomfortable. No space, "Entertainment" had one use their own device but no place to power the device. Audacity to charge $10 to use a rental device for entertainment when other airlines provide free of charge. No air-circulation on board. Screaming children the ENTIRE 6 hour flight. No complimentary snacks."

Voordelen: "We got home but later then expected."
Nadelen: "Coming home late. Going thru customs took too long. No one to help with directions at Toronto Airport"

Voordelen: "Price was good and flights arrived timely"
Nadelen: "It's a typical new aircraft that is crowded when full"

Voordelen: "Plane left on time, smooth flight, arrived on schedule."
Nadelen: "1. Food very substandard. Hot food not very well prepared and rather tasteless, and snack was like a cardboard wrap with some salsa sauce in it. A disgrace to a major airline like Air Canada. Selection of drinks very limited. 2, Staff persisted in speaking mostly French, on an international flight. Some announcements were made only in French. As a Canadian, I can follow French, but let us remember that English is the international language. To use French is not fair to other nationalities, who expect English. 3. Seats far too close together for a long flight. There was more legroom on the Jazz flight from Montreal to Ottawa! 4. Entertainment kept breaking down. Headphones for my wife did not work, and eventually both of our screens went dead. Her's quit right in the middle of a movie. Bad!! 5. Boarding passes had zones on them, but these were totally disregarded in boarding. This resulted on overcrowding, long waits, etc. Hard on older people!"

Voordelen: "That there were no delays."

Voordelen: "Seat width was good. Crew was very pleasant."
Nadelen: "Canada Air website was malfunctioning, could not check-in, pay for luggage etc. the night before. Said I had an horrible seat when I paid for preferred. 45 minutes on hold only to be told my seat was indeed preferred. Computer problems with the website, she said. Got to check in counter the recommended 3 hours early, no one there till 6 am. Then the check-in desk's computers were all malfunctioning. another 20 minute wait. Plane was small and very old. Didn't know those planes were still in the air. Not good in general for flying. the windows leaked condensation, the computer controlling the flushing of the toilets failed 45 minutes out from our destination. They did get it working just before we landed. The plane had some problem before takeoff and left late, landed late. I WILL NEVER FLY THIS AIRLINE AGAIN. Kayak, you need to end your partnership with them."

Voordelen: "The flight attendants were wonderful. Everything was great but they stood out to me and my experience."

Voordelen: "Crew was friendly helpful."
Nadelen: "Problem w with bathroom not working preflight."

Voordelen: "The crew tried to be nice."
Nadelen: "No attention. I was told that my bag was missing and was left in Rome. I was worried the whole flight."

Nadelen: "I've never been on a plane with such little leg room! I was in pain from my back and knees the next day. Reconsider flying with Air Canada if you are taller than 5'8"."

Nadelen: "extreme delays and not a lot of updates"

Voordelen: "Just about everything. And to top it all off, I found that the air inside the cabin was very good and so I arrived after 14 hours on board without red eyes and a headache"
Nadelen: "Nothing."

Nadelen: "the seats were very uncomfortable and didn't recline"

Voordelen: "Staff friendly. Food and drinks good. Good variety of entertainment"
Nadelen: "Limited leg room"

Nadelen: "I needed Some help with my bag for the overhead bin and the flight attendant didn't help me properly and they said it was too heavy and another got angry and said we will charge you for this next time . If they had helped me with the bag it would not have needed to be checked in and there was certainly no need to be rude about it"

Voordelen: "Everything about the 787. Very comfortable and pleasant"
Nadelen: "Again, United is not enforcing its own COVID restrictions. That’s gotta stop"

Nadelen: "Stewardess was mean when I asked for a mask"

Voordelen: "Great crew, comfortable plane"

Voordelen: "Breakfast , comfort"

Nadelen: "Plane was delayed for 5 hrs"

Voordelen: "Seats and entertainment"

Nadelen: "One of our bags didn’t make it. We dropped them off together. We still don’t have the missing luggage."

Nadelen: "Not having videos on plane in seat sucked! Mediocre over priced Food"

Voordelen: "Unfortunately I won’t leave until morning. However I can already answer this question. I will like the fact that I’ll be seeing my only child after an entire year!"
Nadelen: "I didn’t like the fact that United Airlines took time away from us. Because she’s military I don’t get to see her as often as I’d like. I booked my trip from October 5-16 2017 and our vacation together won’t start until a day later. Some may say it’s only a day but I say different and I should be compensated for my loss as well as so many other people that were traveling with me. My overall experience with this airline was horrible! I won’t say I’d never use them again because you never say never BUT they will be my last resort!"

Voordelen: "All the crews are very friendly,service was great!"

Voordelen: "On time."
Nadelen: "Ay a connecting gate too far away!"

Nadelen: "Didn't really like the food plane that was offered, seating are so uncomfortable, had a child crying the whole way, wifi didn't work, there was a magazine in my sitting area with ink where I got ink on me, board was late"

Voordelen: "Getting off the plane"
Nadelen: "The guy puked halfway through the flt and not one single flt attendant came even though they were serving drinks repeatedly to the dr sitting in the row in front of me. Also the flt was delayed as we waited almost an hour for people trying to connect which made me more upset since I was rebooked on that later flt because although my previous flt was there half hour before departure, we didn't have a gate to use which caused me to be 15 mins late for my original flt. Did they wait for me?! NO! I was rebooked. It's unfair that they stole an hour of life from every other passenger to accommodate a few. Back to the guy who puked, an hour after that he started shaking and grabbing his head and asking me why am I hurting his heart. Then incoherent blathering and then his last episode 20 minutes before we land in which he started hitting himself in the head saying he would die right now for his wife and how he's made mistakes. It was three separate incidents from this one passenger and not one flt attendant noticed? Yeah it was bad piled on worse stacked on top of never United ever again."

Nadelen: "Disappointed that few come with closed caption. Lousy choice of menu"

Nadelen: "Wifi didn't work"

Nadelen: "You have to pay to watch the movies."

Voordelen: "Arriving alive"
Nadelen: "Comfort, accessible media, cost"

Voordelen: "lots of good movie choices"
Nadelen: "touch screens didn't always work easily"

Voordelen: "It was not overbooked and had plenty of space"
Nadelen: "Wifi and food prices were a little too expensive"

Nadelen: "Ever since gas prices went up to 5 a gallon years ago, the airlines started charging for food, checked bags etc etc. Now that gas prices have come down, the airlines still charge for said items. Totally LAME"

Voordelen: "Non-stop flight. We had an early arrival!"

Voordelen: "Free drinks. Soft ones of course, but not something you can count on anymore. And very pleasant accommodating staff. Also very on time."

Voordelen: "Thanks for the ONE toffee cookie at the beginning of the 8 hour long flight."
Nadelen: "I have NEVER flown on an international flight and NOT received a complimentary meal or two...When I'm flying for 8 hours. On top of that the seats were very small and uncomfortable. I shouldn't feel a person grabbing a magazine or pulling down a tray when I'm sitting in the seat in front of them. There was one younger African American flight attendant with a light brown, long curl wig that didn't look like she wanted to be there. You can tell by all her eye rolls, sighs and not responding back to numerous thank yous given to her. I couldn't consistently watch a show or movie for 3 minutes thanks to the wifi and or app on MY Samsung tablet....it's SO sad that you guys couldn't have them already installed like other airlines. This airline is already in hot water, I expected MUCH better customer service. I will do my best NOT to use them again and tell others to do the same."

Nadelen: "This was a mess as the attendants didn't not have my transfer ticket It took them for ever till the last minute when was called by the Microphone"

Voordelen: "Prima vlucht van Honolulu naar LA in moderne Boeing 737-900 van alle gemakken voorzien."

Voordelen: "The crew on board the flights were always friendly and Stern with unruly customers. Very good job in that department."
Nadelen: "I am 5'10 and 155 lbs I wasn't so cramped in the sets that when the person infront of me put there seat back I couldn't cross my leg or sit comfortable. I can't imagine what a person any taller or larger then me felt. Oh also the average size man sitting extra to me was spilling over my seat. Luckily he did not smell and was very apologetic. The only reason I booked through united was because of how cheap they were. But with Lon delays. Rude check in emoployees, bad snacks, zero in flight entertainment 7.99 to watch tv? Come on you have us trapped already. (returning to Hawaii) and one of the worst seating set ups of my life. Yeah I'll gladly go back to delta."

Voordelen: "The crew of this flight were amazing, attentive, and so positive. They certainly made the long flight an enjoyable one. The only challenge was that the in-flight entertainment stopped working 5 hours into the flight. That said, the crew informed us of how United would compensate us for that. As for the landing, that was perfect. We eased onto the tarmac so gently it barely felt as though we had landed."
Nadelen: "I wasn't too excited that the in-flight entertainment quit working about five hours in, but the crew did their best to remedy the situation. It did stink that we were delayed in disembarking, but that wasn't the fault of the crew. Lastly, I do wish that food came complimentary with it being a 9-hour flight. The options presented were tasty looking but it felt a little like we were being nickeled and dimed."
