Voordelen: "Generally good experience at least as far as a very long flight with two children can go. Good food with plenty and quite healthy snacks for kids. Very friendly and attentive crew, comparably comfortable seats, clean and comfortable bathrooms (what not always has been my experience with other airlines)"
Nadelen: "Due to a misunderstanding at check-in we have been seated away from a baby bassinette (although booked) to sit together with my husband, nobody asked what my preference would be (sitting as a whole family or having a bassinette) and a 17-hour flight with a 9month old baby constantly on my lap was challenging. Also a very disappointing selection of films and documentaries for adults. I ended watching a kids movie with my older daughter and it was the only thing I found appealing. Kids section very good though, my 5-year old was glued to the screen and all the options had my approval :)"

Voordelen: "I wish this airline had more service within the US!! This airline is impeccable. We flew 16 hours from Doha to Miami and it was amazing. At the airport in Doha the flight representative went above and beyond to accommodate better seating for myself and my son. Luckily it was not a full flight and lots of the passengers had plenty of space. The staff is VERY friendly and VERY professional. I will definitely be giving this airline my hard earned money in the future for reservations as much as I can!!!!"

I had to pay hotel fee and food too . That's my issue because they had to inform me . Right ?"
Voordelen: "1. Sitting arrangement is too commercial. There was no room for leg. 2. Food was very low quality and there was choice. Most of the airlines offer the passengers some selection choice for their food. 3. The air hostages were speaking in Hindi. Either they should speak in Arabic or English. 4. Before Qatar airlines arrived at Shahajala International Airport the announcement was in Arabic and Hindi. It should be in Bengali and Arabic. 5. Moves are very old and never changed."

Nadelen: "The food was just OK. The seat pitch and incline were problematic resulting in the person in front of my wife lowering his seat and knocking her neighbors water over on her."

Nadelen: "The following experience goes down in history as the worst ever because: we had a 3.5 year old child, and mom and dad seated directly in front of our row. The couple ignored the instructions to move seats forward during meals making it impossible to eat. They placed their luggage in the overhead compartment belonging to both rows, which wasn't a problem if they hadn't proceeded to open and close the compartment every 20 minutes. The 300 pd dad repeatedly stepped on my broken toe while reaching for his luggage, while rattling around and disturbing sleeping passengers. And, sadly the child repeatedly threw temper tantrums without any care or effort of intervention from the parents. In short, they terrorized the surrounding travellers. In contrast, my outbound flight, also had a family seated in the row directly in front. This family was the antithesis, considerate and respectful of their fellow passengers. Susan Laws"

Nadelen: "MEL/AKL 7/7 FLIGHT CANCELLED. NO NOTIFICATION SENT. Online system down. .....try later. Had to call Philippines. Eventually got transferred to Air NZ 777.Great flight .... would never use Virgin again. AKL/MEL FLIGHT 13/7 CHANGED FROM 6:30 TO 7:50 TO 8:10. No advice. Online system down. Unable to get updated status. 20mins call to Philippines. No apologies.Ended up on an A330 800 .No USB points. Got a seat, but everything from cushions to Coke had to be paid extra. At be slightly cheaper, but no better than Tiger"
Nadelen: "One particular female member of crew could do with a refresher course in customer care service !!!!! I asked for water and she gave me something else, when I told her very nicely that I had asked her for water she began to argue with me that I hadn’t, I thought her very rude, (what happened to the customer is always right) I have been flying with Virgin for twenty years twice a year sometimes even three !!!! and never been spoken to like this from any other member of staff!!!!"

Nadelen: "The entertainment system was not good. The touch screen was not calibrated and very hard to select and scroll through. The flight was over a hour late so we missed our connection. Got rebooked okay, but after traveling for 18 hours having to wait three extra hours was a drag."
Nadelen: "Incredibly uncomfortable, not enough minimum space to fit my knees behind seat in front when front passenger reclined. 6 hours is too long to have a metal rod sticking straight into your knee caps. Shoulders were squished between other passengers and had to sit twisted the whole way and Im not a large person, but am 6ft. Cabin crew impolite and unhelpful. Food was awful and made my friend sick."
Voordelen: "Our ticket was canceled apparently due to an error by the airline. Very unhappy about that. The airline couldn't care less."

Nadelen: "The fact that I was told I would be given a seat at the boarding gate. I got to the airport very early to get a good seat only to be that and was given a very uncomfortable seat where I couldn't stretch my legs well because of a box on the floor situated to my left leg and to make the matter even more annoying my screen was not working which I was forced to take one heavy meant-so-called laptop. And finally cabin crew were lacking serious customer service and when u ask for something they were just so reluctant to deliver as if we were given a free ticket or something. May it be noted that my ticket was not that cheap to be treated in such manner."
Nadelen: "My flight was cancelled on Christmas Day, but we had to stand in line to wait to get onto another flight on another airline. They were so slow that the flight they tried to put everyone left and then they offered ZERO assistance to get another flight and wouldn’t even refund my ticket, just told me after waiting 3 hours to call whoever I booked with for a refund."
Nadelen: "Seats in economy are way to small and very uncomfortable if tall. Too close to the seats in front of you. I was miserable all the way to London."
Voordelen: "No one would update that the flight was delayed. They would not even communicate as to why delayed and would not put us in a different flight. Absolutely no customer service. Disappointed and would not fly jet airways again . I missed my conference lecture today as I was late."
Nadelen: "No communication, nor will they tell you why it's late . Nor will they move you to another flight even wen requested"
Voordelen: "Leg room in economy was good. Staff very professional and made a long flight bearable."
Nadelen: "At check in the name on my reservation read Ron, not Ronald which is on my passport. The second agent I was referred to was unpleasant and charging $100. Had same problem out of Seoul but there was no charge for the ticket change. My interaction with the second agent left a very bad taste in my mouth."
Voordelen: "The crew were very friendly, and helpful. I also liked that the exit row that I was given had more than enough leg room, the dinner was really good for airplane food and snacks were great also. The attendant that I had for my section also told me that all food and drinks were free so they gave me a few extra adult drinks here and there which is a plus for how long the flight was going to be. The movie selection is great also having some on there that are still in theaters is a huge plus."
Nadelen: "The boarding process seemed way out of order, they made so many mistakes and nobody knew what to do, then you have the pushy passengers that are sitting coach getting mad that you're boarding before them. Breakfast left me wanting something else, lets just say this if you are given the choice of something vs french toast, take the something."

The flight itselfe was fine in every other way."
Nadelen: "Maybe when I checked in for the last two flights if your check-in agents could've told me more clearly about where in the system my bags were, it would've been less of a surprise to find out in POM that they were not with me. I did ask, but got answers like 'we'll try to transfer them' or 'your bags are in the system', which were not too informative, but maybe as complete as those workers could ascertain, I don't know. I would've liked to be able to check in on line in advance for this and other flights on this trip, if you ever decide to open up that facility (without a charge), it would be appreciated."
Voordelen: "The vegetarian meals, leg room and comfortable seats, wifi tv entertainment, kind and courteous service. It made the trip more comfortable! Thanks!"
Nadelen: "The domestic flight in PNG was cramped, but the flight attendant was very nice and helpful"

Economy appears to have lost staff as it takes the entire flight to get a drink and dinner, the feeling you get is that you should just get on board and then sit quietly for 7 hours and not ask for anything. The entertainment does not have a very large selection and if you fly regularly does not seem to update very often."
Nadelen: "45 minute delay on runway after landing was very very frustrating."

Voordelen: "I am a disables person who can not walk more that a few feet without assistance. I was helped all the way to my seat which was great. The Terminal employees were very helpful"
Nadelen: "The food was burn on to the bottom of the dishes and to hard to eat. The crew spent most of the time in the galley and only came out to serve the food."

Voordelen: "This was my first experience with Virgin Atlantic, and I was highly satisfied. I really appreciated the large selection of movies and TV shows, and the option of vegetarian and vegan meals (nothing fancy, but solid for airline food)."

Voordelen: "We were upgraded to business class. Everything was excellent! Seats were extremely comfortable. Flight attendants took great care of us!"
Nadelen: "Even though I have an account with United, and confirmed that I was a vegetarian both online, and on the flight heading to Europe, my meal wasn't entered. It worked out really well because I was sitting close to the front and they had pasta dishes available, but this is not the first time that United and its partners have "lost" or "mishandled" my vegetarian registration. The flight attendant even remarked that sadly, she hears this 'complaint' constantly. The food was good, but there's no reason that my meal request can't stay in the system."

Nadelen: "I chose Luthansa because I was traveling with a bike and they are usually good about not overcharging however after booking the flight, United took over the flight and they have very unfriendly bike policies (200 each way). Usually I will not fly United because of these policies, I think I am done flying any Star Alliance companies."
Nadelen: "This was a mess as the attendants didn't not have my transfer ticket It took them for ever till the last minute when was called by the Microphone"
Voordelen: "I was able to get to my destination safely"

Nadelen: "Tried to change flight to different day cost was rediculus united wanted an additional amount equal to the cost of the whole round trip not very helpful Were TSA approved going but not returning At 84 did not appreciate this. Will not fly United again if I have a choise"

Nadelen: "Delayed boarding at Munich airport"
Voordelen: "Flight wasn't that long. Experience was okay. Flight was full. Attendants did their job. Some were more polite and helpful than others."
Nadelen: "No request was made for the outbound flight which I want to comment about. At Dulles Airport, I checked in at the Brussels Airline counter, only to be told that since I was on a flight operated by United, then I had to go to the United Airlines counter to check in. At UA, I was handed a boarding pass which advised that my seat will be assigned at the gate. I saw on the monitor where the available seats were-1 window, the remainder middle row. I got the feeling that since I bought a ticket which cost less than what the other United Airlines customers paid for, then I was being relegated to seats that the other travelers didn't desire."
Voordelen: "On time"
Nadelen: "Ran out of food choices and plane was dirty , entertainment center locked up and could not use it"
Voordelen: "Helpful crew when I told them that my right leg was causing me severe pain. I asked them to order a wheel chair for me when the plane landed They did so right away."
Nadelen: "The DVD player at my seat did not work. I was the last one to leave the plane, with the help of some crew members; but no wheelchair was waiting for me. A staff called but was told that no such an order was received and no one was then available to bring me a wheel chair. Later someone in the Cleaning crew made a couple of calls and finally ,10 to 15 minutes later, a wheelchair arrived."
Voordelen: "Very good! Very nice and friendly employees!"
Nadelen: "People were not told where to get their transfer boarding passes until last minute. Security check of "random" passengers was overboard. I wasn't one of the passengers who had to undergo the extra security at the gate, but felt bad for those who did. Completely unnecessary.."
Nadelen: "A 1 hour delay in Brussels, combined with the complexity that is Dulles resulted our missing our connecting flight. The United employee who rebooked us for the late-night flight five hours later put my wife and me on separate rows, requiring a second wait in the lengthening lines to sort out. Avoid Dulles. Avoid United."
Voordelen: "Attended to us constantly"
Nadelen: "Everything was Great!"
Voordelen: "One of the crew members was friendly."
Nadelen: "Literally everything else. Customer service was worse than Comcast's. Luggage was lost and has yet to be found even though I was promised multiple times that it would be taken care of. Will never fly United again."
Voordelen: "The crew was pleasant, the captain was friendly, the chairs were comfortable, and the entertainment options were perfect."
Nadelen: "I had switched airlines, and before boarding, I had to receive a new boarding pass for United, but it was unclear that I had to do this beforehand. The food seemed to be minimal and not thought out."
Voordelen: "There were good movies."
Nadelen: "Food didn't look great. There was a vegetarian option, which was nice to hear, though I opted to just eat food that I bought since the food looked like TV dinners. Also snacks were like pastries and cheese/meat sandwiches, which I didn't try. I would appreciate healthier snacks, like fresh fruit, or failing that, dried fruit and nuts. Also there were no electrical outlets, which made it a lot harder to get any work done on the flight. For such a long flight this was disappointing."
Voordelen: "Videos on United flights kept getting re-started"
Nadelen: "they didn't serve us, not even water. Also they tried to land once and they could not and then they took us back and retried. Not an explanation or anything.. I believe that the pilots didn't know what they were doing.... I fly frequently but this is one of the worst experience, plus have in mind that you go to Palm Springs to enjoy and relax not to die.., If you have turbulence least announce the passengers and prepare them."
Voordelen: "The flight never took place, and I was never notified - not by United, not by Kayak, not by anyone. I called Customer Service on March 31 when I was notified the flight from Marrakech was rerouted to Liege, Belgium and was told to take a bus to Brussels. When I got to Liege, I was boarding a bus to Brussels when someone told me the airport was closed. I then got my flights rebooked on Lufthansa. Why was I never notified that the United flight was cancelled? I haven't checked on it yet, as I just got home after flying 3 flights from Liege instead of 1 flight from Brussels. I understand the situation is bad, but why NO NOTIFICATION?"
Nadelen: "No communication - very wierd"
Voordelen: "Delayed 3 hours. Rerouted to the wrong airport. But worst of all was the seats. Awful. Don't recline, no padding. Worst ever."
Nadelen: "Seats in economy are always short on the knees. Paying $25 for checked bag is way out of line. Free is better, but $10 max would be more than enough since fuel charges have gone way down for all air lines."
Nadelen: "Had to go through the boarding process twice due to molding in the passenger area that needed to be glued. Perhaps an inspection could have been made prior to boarding?"
Nadelen: "Very long delay while we were on the plane waiting for take off and there was no reason. We sat in the plane for ove an hour."
Nadelen: "recommend not including food and entertainment in the survey when not offered OR add a N/A button to choose."
Nadelen: "Over a hour late leaving San Francisco"
Nadelen: "Apparently United is the only airline that can't figure out how to upload TSA-pre KTNs onto boarding passes. I went to the SFO United customer service desk and they rambled through a few minutes of excuses before even looking at their system to identify possible problems. She even stated that United wouldn't comply with the federal Homeland Security program unless passengers paid for it... Which sounded like she was asking for a bribe. That can't possibly be legal and United should be ashamed and this policy made public."
