I understand this airport has a lot of business and first class travelers from all countries, but they need to better organize the lounge into designated "quiet areas" for people like me where cell phone use isn't permitted, family areas, where the kids can run around screaming unimpeded like they were, and also direct newcomers into areas where there are less passengers so you can find a place to sit & grab food without wandering around this cavernous place looking for a place of respite"
Nadelen: "The experience of transferring through the Abu Dhabi airport was a little hellish--very hot (I know it's the ME in summer), long lines, I was patted down in a cabin by a security office because of the underwires in my bra, which I was cool with, but my carry on luggage was kept outside the cabin area with my passport and money with people swarming through in lines. Not cool. I've probably never had an international transport experience like this, outside of Cuba where they pulled me aside and interrogated me by agents even though I had a visa and had documentation I was presenting at an education conference at the government state hotel, (and I'm Panamanian American, I speak Spanish, maybe that's why they though I was a scientist/spy). This airport definitely needs more basic staff and better organization. But I'd have to say this wasn't any worse-- other than the heat--- of any US or European transfer experience I've had in the last 10 years. Lounge staff in Abu Dhabi were kind of jerks compared to other airports, they were very stand offish (like they couldn't be bothered to help you, or maybe it was my Canadian/American accent)."

Mais en plus de 10 vol Ave Etihad c'est ma seul mauvaise expérience et de plus j'ai payer 200fr pour changer de vol et arriver 4 h 30 plus tôt résultat gagné 30 minutes oups"

Là fut notre erreur car lors de la correspondance à Abu dhabi nous étions de nouveau surbooké à 23h00 ! malgré nos borading pass. Au bout de 2h de négociation nous avons obtenu une chambre d'hotel de 1h du matin à 6h.... pour reprendre le vol suivant à 8h30.... Aucune indemnisation, ni surclassement, as même un code wifi .... COMPAGNIE A EVITER A TOUT PRIS, c'est du LOW COST et le SAV est CATASTROPHIQUE. Nadelen: "My bags didn't make it. I had to sit away from my husband as someone had sat in his seat and clearly wasn't going to move. You now have to pay to get an exit row like budget airlines and I had to go two days without my bag. Total nightmare. Then I couldn't recheck in to change seAts online. Food was disgusting."

Nadelen: "Small boarding lounge. Etihad has reserved the inferior boarding lounges for the flights to India. Boarding procedure was not well processed."

Voordelen: "I was upgraded to business class, so the flight was smooth and amazing. This gesture was really a class act, I'm staying with Etihad for life!"

Nadelen: "We had a huge delay for security purposes. Which is OK, I am not giving mediocre ratings on that front. But instead because throughout the many, many hours that we were waiting for the plane to be rechecked, we were not offered even water. Throughout the waiting, it was the middle of the night and a lot of the food shops in the airport were not open. The crew knew that we were going to be waiting in the security area for many hours, even peanuts and water bottles would have been welcomed after the six hour delay."

Nadelen: "Etihad would not put me on an early flight despite having free seats on the plane. As a result of which I had a 7.5hour layover in Abu Dhabi. If they had moved me to the earlier flight, it would have left a lasting impression on me. I am looking to join a new loyalty program (from Lufthansa) and this gesture could have gone a long way."

Nadelen: "Food was not good. A meals was served only 12 hrs apart. There are jnternational travellers who feel hungry in between and airlin needs to be considerate of it."

Voordelen: "The cockpit crew was efficient in announcing the highlights of the flight.The landing and take off was smooth and flawless.The aircraft, an airbus 321 was clean."
Nadelen: "The service from Abudhabi to Cochin was worse than the so called cattle class.One simple instance, the food menu which was trumpeted and given to each passenger in the economy class, had three main entrees,viz Fish/chicken/vegetarian. When the food trolley came to my seat in the mid section of the plane, the hostess with almost a desperate look told me that only the vegetarian dish was available.I told her that I definetly need the fish or chicken dish.She scrounged around and ultimately gave me the fish choice whereas all the rest around me had to do with the vegetarian fare.Why this stupidity of a grandiose menu card?...The menu list states a list of liquor available in flight in the economy class.The hostess was serving the same only to those who specifically asked for it and that too as if she has to pay for the same.What a shame on the airline.You folks can do much better than this, in the so called cattle class.Sitting in a preassurised tube for more than 21 hours to reach ones destination is agony by itself, but then getting into your flight after seeing the goodies offered are only in paper, is a sad disappointment."

On a 15 hr flight from Abu Dabhi to Chicago, I asked twice for coffee, once for juice and once for sandwich, and each time the staff told me to wait, once they were busy, once they were going to serve food in 45 minutes and once the sandwich was put away (I repeat, "put away"). My wife asked for mango juice, and they said, they do not have any left, they only had apple and orange juice. Within 10 min when they replenished the cart, they had mango juice. It seems that they were just plain lazy to do even to cater to the smallest request."

Nadelen: "They were out of vegetarian sandwiches and don't substitute it with anything else. They should be extra careful with vegetarian options. Meal quality can improve a bit in general."

Voordelen: "Good comfort. Good entertainment. Excellent food. Courteous service."

Nadelen: "I have chosen my seat online and they have simply changed it to the seat front of the emergency exit which doesn't lean back. When I asked them why my seat was changed even though I have confirmed the seat again when I had my boarding pass from their office in Dubai, but no one has answered my queries."

Nadelen: "There was no clear business class line for boarding, I had to ask for the line to be set up. The toilets were not being regularly reviewed and I had to report a blocked sink. No lights on the toilets to indicate whether they are vacant.I found it difficult to clean my teeth without the availability of water cups. We had to wait for the entertainment system to activate until after take off and the plane departed 1.5 hours after the scheduled time. Apparently this is a regular occurrence for this flight due to air traffic. I prefer emirates."

Nadelen: "Horrible airport - sedated and lost ground staff - uncomfortable reclining seats in the business that is a total turn off if you are connecting from a lie-flat business seat and the worst was the fact that I was confirmed twice by the ground and cabin crew that all my incoming luggage was transferred, only to discover upon arrival in Islamabad that they never made it on the flight as the time was short (no idea why Etihad offers short time connections to other airlines when it knows that the airport infrastructure, the baggage transfer systems and their own crew are simply NOT FIT to handle that. Overall - bad experience!"

Nadelen: "The flight were delayed, I missed the next flight because of the delay, the crue in brussel offered to replace the missed flight by another flight which were six hours latter, they said their is no earlier flight.i had to wait for six hours in abu dabi .when I reached abu dhabi I found another flight earlier than that.i tried with Etihad transfer disc to go in the earlier flight , they said it is not showing on tgeir system despite it is theifr on airport screens.they even didnot offer any help or lounge or hotel for rest in next 6hours.and I was travelling 18 hours before that si I have to wsit additional 6 making total 24 hr bec. Of their delay. Problems No integrity , they should be more trueful and helpful rather than shifting problems to otheres"

Allowed passengers to get up, collect thier bags from overhead compartments immediately after landing and during taxi. Clogged asiles. Poor air con during flight. Extremely cramped seating. Low budget and lax attitude. Consistently late flights On a positive note, direct nonstop flights to major destinations at good rates. You get what you pay for though."

Nadelen: "Poor quality headphones - jacks are often messed up make sure you have your own. Got food poisoning on Muscat to Paris flight - other than that the food tended to be quite bland. Need to give out more water on flight to combat dehydration as well. Stopping in Muscat's terminal was like a time warp back to a 1970s mall. Also no direct connection to terminal, planes park out on tarmac and take people on 1 km bus ride to connect to terminal. Legroom was pretty tight but not horrid Crew making announcements on landing were unprofessional, heard co-pilot or steward laughing in the background - while captain droned on in Arabic - this does not engender confidence in their ability to fly the plane!"

Nadelen: "One bathroom was out of order so there were often long waiting times. Nor were the bathroom engagement lights working so it appeared to be vacant when it was occupied. Food and announcements were too frequent for a late night flight - only 2 hours to sleep on a 6 hour overnight flight."

Nadelen: "The boarding was cancelled due to 5 hrs before visa arrival time and forcefully called no show."

Voordelen: "I do like few thinks apart from most importance thing such as blanket..! We have asked for blanket at night due to freezing cold the crew has replied sorry the ground staff has forgot to load the blankets to the air craft ."

Voordelen: "Nice Service. On ground is ok. At least people are not rude. In flight is also ok. Nothing special. That's ok for me as long as they are not rude or obnoxious."
Nadelen: "Entertainment options are limited. This is such a short flight I normally watch series. Their selection is not the best. Boarding in Muscat Airport is always a mess."

Nadelen: "Everything, the plane, service, attitude"

Voordelen: "Nearly all staff very professional and trying to 'be the best'. Generous with drinks."
Nadelen: "Bizarre incident with FA over meal. I'm on left aisle of middle row of 3 seats. Another customer is on the other aisle. Middle seat empty. Both meal trolleys moving up aisles, ten seconds apart. FA leans over me and asks the man on the other aisle what he wants to eat and serves him. I'm busy putting netbook away so my tray table will be empty. FA 'forgets' to invite me to eat. This is an Arab airline???! In 49 years of air travel I have never seen such a thing. I sit there wondering what on earth is happening. Weeks later I'm still bewildered."

Voordelen: "Hospitality and efficiency."
Nadelen: "There could be a drinks trolley at the back to help yourself"

Voordelen: "It is worth it to pay a little more for exit seats. They were very comfortable. The agents at checkin were very helpful. I came with a backpack, a roller bag I often can carry on and another bag to check.The bag allowance was just one to check. They wouldn't let me carry on my roller bag because it was too heavy. They encouraged me first to rearrange the luggage to make the one light enough to carry on, by putting some in the other bag that was being checked, But I explained that bag was already full. So they urged me to get my two bags wrapped together so that there would not be an extra bag charge. The ticket agent also came out to look for me---I hadn't realized they boarded so early---and walked with me to the gate. That was very nice of them. There were snacks and beverages on both flights and friendly stewardesses, and lots of movies to choose from."
Nadelen: "The second flight I didn't get the exit seats and was a bit cramped, but that was a shorter flight, so it didn't matter much."

Nadelen: "What airline in 2017 requires you to present your credit card if booked using CC at time of bording, then takes 20 minutes to verify this? Oman air does. In addition, they called me to tell me my flight time changed and so decided to push the flight back one day, so they rebooked me. Then at airport was told i missed my flight...completely maddening and had to throw a fit before they finally booked us on the flight we were told by phone we had yet didnt seem to register in their systems."

Voordelen: "The plane was very nice and comfortable. Bathroom did get dirty fast."
Nadelen: "The food wasn't great. Plane should've left earlier if expecting delays from incoming flights over the mountain."

Voordelen: "The price was great and the service and planes were adequate for a relatively short flight."

Voordelen: "Friendly crew, timeliness"
Nadelen: "Insufficient leg space, available movie selection"

Voordelen: "A/C in aircraft was not adequate when aircraft on ground"

Voordelen: "Airline service was good and on-time. Food was OK. Amenity kits provided like toothbrush good. Aircraft clean. Cheaper fares than others."
Nadelen: "Not being able to secure seat before 24 hours. Use of busses at Muscat airport made boarding and de-planing slow. In Flight entertainment limited choice. Much poorer than Emirates or Qatar. B787 Dreamliner system better than A330 aircraft. Some USB port not working. At least 1 toilet out of order whole flight."

Voordelen: "It was slightly better then walking.."
Nadelen: "Pretty much evevrything"

Voordelen: "The good thing was that my bags arrived quickly to the baggage carousel."
Nadelen: "The entertainment console did not work on the flight out."

Nadelen: "The plan was small"

Nadelen: "Nothing"

Nadelen: "No seats available while waiting to be checked into the gate."

Voordelen: "Good"

Voordelen: "Quick flight, as little time as possible on board!"
Nadelen: "More than 1 hour delayed flight without annoucing it, plus while on board, earphones were not available nor handed out when I requested them because it was a short flight. Overall poor flight service and airline. They have to improve big time service onboard and on land in Muscat."

Voordelen: "flight wasn't full"
Nadelen: "service for an international airline as very poor, rude and unfriendly from boarding to cabin crew on all four flight"

Voordelen: "The food was ok. The crew did not offer water during a long flight. Everyone should have been hydrating on a flight."
Nadelen: "I had an unexpected layover in Dar Es Salam. My friend got bit by a flea or small bug. The seats were filthy and are not cleaned properly. Movie choices did not coincide with the brochure...only 5 movie choices. Disappointing."

Voordelen: "I slept on the plane . Not too crowded"
Nadelen: "My bag was lost. I received it the day after"

Voordelen: "Even though it is a short a fligh, the snacks provided is good."

Nadelen: "The flight was not in time the folding table for lunch plate was not clean. Over all flight service was poor"

Voordelen: "The entertainment system had a good selection."
Nadelen: "There were no refreshments served at all."

Nadelen: "Too long waiting before take of in Muscat"
