As the food service is going on, there were several people who wanted to move up and down the aisle disrupting the service several times. When the flight was taxiing after landing, people had already got up from their seats and were trying to take their bags. Despite many announcements, pax did not care. Hats off to the crew who patiently handled it."

Nadelen: "We were sitting in row 36 (D,E,F,G). Everything was fine until we realized there was a leak in the plane. On take off and landing the A/C leaked all over our clothes and seats. When we reacted and stood up, the flight attendant screamed at us and told us to sit down. Afterwards, the flight attendant asked us what was wrong and she had realized that the AC had leaked on us. All she did was put towels on our seat and walked away. For at least 10 minutes I had to raise a towel to catch the water from dripping onto our heads during lift off and landing."

WTF? And because the fasten seat belt sign was on in preparation for landing, I couldn't fish through my carry on in the overhead compartment to find the ones I'd brought. Thats SUPER sh*tty to your customers. Just not ok!"

Voordelen: "Every opportunity I get when traveling will fly with Emirates. The flight staff have always provided excellent service regardless of of being in economy class. The restrooms are always clean. I also enjoy being advised by the flight crew of any impending turbulence before we encounter. Emirates has always provided me an excellent flying experience despite my fears of long distance traveling."

Nadelen: "No one weighted my cabin bag while checking in. Before the security control, Emirates ground staff stopped me and weighted my cabin bag that was 8.4, around a kg extra. They didn't allow me boarding until I threw 4 shirts to the garbage and I reduced the weight. Staff was just unbelievably rude."

Nadelen: "This whole flight experience was a nightmare. I understand that there were very serious unforseen circumstances that day, with the Emirates flight from Trivandrum crash landing at the airport. As such the 4 hour delay that was announced was not a problem. The problem came after the airport resumed operations. We were told repeatedly that we would board any moment from 5:30pm onwards. As such, we did not go very far from the gate. We were even invited to go into the gate area no less than 3 times, before we were forced to leave. No one provided information. All we knew was that we were waiting for the crew to arrive. It took another SIX hours (in addition to the 4 hour delay) before we actually boarded. If we had even slightly better information, we could have at least found a comfortable chair a ways away from the gate and gotten a few hours of sleep. But it felt as if the ground staff constantly toyed with us, making us stay within a close radius of the gate but not providing any accurate or reliable information. I have come to expect the best from Emirates. But their actions were pitiful on this day."

Nadelen: "Retard de l'avion ( 3-4 vols différents). Perte de mes bagages qui à entraîner un déplacement pour rien à l'étranger pour le travail vu que je n'avais pas le matériel de travail avec moi. Nous faire monter dans l'avion, rouler sur le tarmac, après 30 min de prise de retard sur le départ, nous annoncer qu'on retourner à l'aéroport et qu'il fallait changer d'avion pour problèmes techniques. Pour nous annuler complètement Le vol! Nous faire descendre de l'avion, devoir aller se trouver un autre vol, aller recuperer la valise, retourner l'enregistrer, et retourner à la sécurité tous ça avec une amabilité digne de la froideur allemande! Auncuns repas ou autre bois a été offert au moin pour s'excuser. Après avoir eu tous ces problèmes avec la même compagnie j'ai contacter à plusieurs reprises le service client qui m'a raccrocher au nez! On m'a dit qu'on me remboursait Le vol. Je n'ai jamais eu de nouvelles."

Nadelen: "Nous avons été très désagréablement surprises d'apprendre que trop de billets avaient été vendus et que nos places n'étaient plus disponibles à notre arrivée à Francfort. Il me semble totalement illogique de me faire dire qu'il n'y a plus de place pour moi dans l'avion alors que j'ai le billet en main et qu'il a été payé. Comment une compagnie peut-elle accepter mon paiement alors qu'elle n'est pas en mesure de garantir le service pour lequel elle a été payée? Selon cette philosophie, il faudrait peut-être payer nos billets d'avion une fois RENDUS à destination? Beaucoup de stress inutile et une mauvaise opinion de la compagnie aérienne..."

Nadelen: "2 changements de portes d'embarquement. NOus nous sommes déplacés longuement dans l'aérogare. Embarquement pourri : encore un bus pour rouler longuement sur le tarmac. J'avais l'impression que l'on cherchait notre avion. Un avion Star Alliance n'est pas Lufthansa. Le siège du passager devant moi était défectueux et reculait sans cesse vers moi. DEux interventions des agents de bord n'ont pas suffi. Le semblant de repas était avant l'arrivée ã Montréal était infecte : une pochette de pain avec simili sauce que l'on présentait comme une "pizza". Ce vol n'avait vraiment pas la qualité Lufthansa!!!"

Nadelen: "Le vol a été dérouté sur Lyon pour des vents dangereux. Seul hic, l’ensemble des autres vols atterrissants à Genève on tous pu atterrir dans la même tranche horaire. Ensuite reacheminement en bus ou taxi pour les plus chanceux. Sans qu’on nous donne le moindre repas. Pourtant atterrissage prévu initialement vers 11h. La il est 14h10 passé et le ventre vide et toujours sur la route entre Lyon et Genève."

What was worse was after I told them of my situation they said they understood and had a meal that would do but there was cheese, yogurt, milk chocolate, etc."

If you have window seat, you have to cross passanger next to you (you don't need to on Swiss, Lufthansa or Cathay Pacific), there is very few privacy comparred to other airlines and my seat was just terrible for sleeping, did not go flat completely and was way less comfy for sleeping than with other airlines. Plane was an older 747. I will not flight long hault with KLM again."

Nadelen: "The food was not heat correctly it was cold and I felt that the crew rush to give out the food. The seats are terrible, if the person in front of you reclines you won’t be able to see the screen if your watching a movie and you will see the top of the persons head."

Nadelen: "Everything. The crew seemed to skip over me and my husband multiple times. So we sat there with garbage the whole flight. My entertainment was broken and they had no solution but giving me $30 to use at the duty free shop the same day as the flighty. I paid extra for premium seating in an exit row and that was their idea of fair compensation. The crew ran out of vegetarian food so I didn’t eat anything but cold stale bread. The crew was non-existent most of the flight."

Nadelen: "Staff where so unhelpful that I missed my flight and then refused to offer any assistance as to how I could remedy this situation. This cost me over €180 which is a weeks food and stay for me. Don't fly with these guys or with air Croatia."

Nadelen: "It is very difficult to get around CDG airport with a disabled person. There is no shuttle. By the time we got to check in, we were ten minutes late. They would not check us in, and we paid over $700 to change tickets to the next flight. When I complained, I was told to stop being rude or I would get no ticket at all. My mother is 94 years old and we did the best we could given the circumstance."

Sitting in exit row with no floor storage so this delay made it hard to find overhead storage above my seat. (Grrrr) Entertainment system didn't work which made the flight feel LOOONG. (They offered an in-flight credit, but I'd paid for premium exit row seat and had to choose between moving to working system in crowded middle seat or keep premium, exit seat. I decided to have them move me to a seat with a working entertainment system, which were available and they'd offered, but never happened.) When I got home, I discovered the gift I purchased with in-flight credit and my own money wasn't the one I'd requested from Duty Free catalog so now I have to figure out how to solve this problem. (COULDN'T GET IT RIGHT.) Premium exit row seat was narrow, due to in-seat tray table & entertainment system, but seatbelt mounts and thinly padded seat made it even more uncomfortable on a long flight."

But when we tried to sleep, our fellow passengers came and stood at our feet and talked so loudly that we could not possibly sleep. They stayed there for more than an hour. Would have loved for the staff to maybe ask them to tone it down, if not move."

Our seats were dirty and the trays from the seats were disgusting, the seat in front to me was damage so the lady in front to me got me stock on my seat for the whole trip, i asked crew if thry can tell her to move lil forward cuz i needed to get up to bathroom after 5 hrs in a plane , flight attendanr say : no, try to jump"...the food was disgusting, chicken with God knows what it looks like vomit. Everything in that flight was horrible."

Voordelen: "I liked that there was a bit more space, larger seats and only two seats (instead of 3) along both sides of the plane. The blankets and pillows were nicer than economy, and the service was impeccable, friendly and attentive. The cabin was quiet, and I was able to sleep most of the flight ,probably because I was exhausted and it was a night flight."
Nadelen: "We paid 370 euros to upgrade and for that amount, I wouldn't do it again. The seat comfort wasn't much better than economy, the food was exactly the same as economy -- terrible, especially because we were flying from Brazil to Paris -- so the only thing you're getting is a bit more space and less people. The movie selection was tired - or at least not my cup of tea."

They are simply not worth the money you save, considering the pain they make you sit through. Extremely poor service from the staff and they offer little to no option to you if the flight gets cancelled. They were not willing to accommodate my request to reroute to a new destination (which actually is cheaper than my original destination) as i was about to miss my consular appointment due to the flight cancellation and this was the only way I could make it. They outright said it's not possible, didn't even check if the flight to the new destination has availability or not. The staff especially at Heathrow is a joke, don't even bother reasoning with them."

Nadelen: "We have cancelled the trip on some personal problems online on kiwi.com, called twice also but till date no action is taken. Neither we got refund nor tickets got cancelled, eventhough we have cancelled tickets 3 days prior to start of our trip"

Nadelen: "They have restrictions more than any other flight about the size of the hand luggage- My parents were allowed to bring one hand luggage without any problems, but they were not allowed to take it back because it was "Big!" it did not put on weight or get fat! its a hand luggage that stays the same size! They blame it on the TSA and say it has to fit in and asked us to pay 325 $ to take the same bag that they brought things in."

Voordelen: "Overall flight experience was good, but the ground staff need to be more real time responsive and should own responsibility."
Nadelen: "My baggage is still missing and no one is responding to number presented on the sheet in Chicago, very bad. Please get my baggage to me and be kind to the customers in aftermath of the services."

Voordelen: "Good nice flight feel like you sitting in bussiness class"

Nadelen: "TERRIBLE time management!! Missed the connecting flight by a few minutes and didn't get a connecting flight for 7 hours thereafter! There was absolutely time for us customers (who landed just 20 min later than expected) to make the connecting flight but we were told it was "too late" to board the other plane. This is extremely inconvenient! I got back to SFO 14 hours after the expected time! WHY don't you guys manage your connections better?? I am never flying Etihad again!"

Nadelen: "The seat in the exit aisle was too upright and very uncomfortable. After paying for the exit row seat I expected a more comfortable chair. We were stuck in Abu Dhabi for nearly 2 hours on the runway waiting for take off even though all passengers boarded early."

Nadelen: "If you are flying from AUH to JFK, they pre-clear you for US Customs. What they don't tell you is that the cut-off to get to the gate is one hour before departure. I took a leisurely stroll down to the gate when he signs said 'boarding soon' and was denied entry to the flight. The next one was in seven hours, so I spent the night in the terminal. The big slap in the face, aside from how rude the staff were: they won't just put you on the next flight. You have to buy a new ticket, full fare. It cost me more to get home than the original round trip ticket did to begin with. Trying to discuss this is fruitless - they are absolutely not interested in helping, but instead use phrases like "you are the one that is wrong" and "why should we pay for your mistake". Essentially, I was held hostage in Abu Dhabi and forced to pay a heavy charge to leave."

Voordelen: "The comfort and elegance of the plane and seats. The genuinely kind nature and attentiveness of the staff from ticketing to flight crew to landing."

Nadelen: "Etihad would not put me on an early flight despite having free seats on the plane. As a result of which I had a 7.5hour layover in Abu Dhabi. If they had moved me to the earlier flight, it would have left a lasting impression on me. I am looking to join a new loyalty program (from Lufthansa) and this gesture could have gone a long way."

Nadelen: "Crew doesn't interact with the passengers at all. They act very snooty."

Nadelen: "They make too much fussy about the ledge weight even it was few Lbs. over. they select the worse sits in the plane for my family. Very last row of sits. the worse site in the plane. even though we were the first in the line during the checking. This was the first time was with Etihad."

Nadelen: "The boarding and check in crew are terrible. They don't inform or check luggage policies during check-in and force you just before boarding to pay extra money for unknowing people. This was completely frustrating and terrible experience. If only the crew were knowledgeable and friendly. Customer service is really bad."

Nadelen: "It was standard domestic business class seat, not a pod. Also had 2 screaming kids. Windows were dirty so hard to see out."

Nadelen: "There was no jet bridge facility for entering into the aircraft. We had to carry our carry on luggage to aircraft via Bus. Etihad needs to ensure the traveler's comfort all the way up to their end destination and not till Doha."

Voordelen: "Simply everything. One of the best airways around."
Nadelen: "Very hard to think of anything. Before we always got a small pouch with stuff like toothpaste, toothbrush, socks, ... This time around they didn't provide us with such a thing."

Voordelen: "- seats were good. more leg room than other economy seats - food was ok, they did not bombard us with too much food , which i liked - entertainment was good too"
Nadelen: "- LOST BAGGAGE: they lost my suitcase in the last leg (auh-maa) and I did not receive it for 4 days. I had no clothes, toiletries, etc as I only checked in 1 bag. No compensation offered. - I had to literally get into an argument with the ground staff at MAA airport to get any compensation for basic toiletries, change of clothes, etc. I only received compensation 15 days later for 2 days after several phone calls. I finally had to show up at their office, upon which I realized none of their staff communicated with each other. So, I had to explain everything from the begenning and was finally given some monetary compensation. - Their staff called me back every once in a while and promised things that they never delivered on. For example: they asked me to wait at my mom's house for 4 hours as I needed to sign some paperwork and they could not mail it or email it to me. After waiting 4 hours and cancelling other plans, no one shows up and no one answers the phone. - On my flight back, flying through AUH was a disaster. We had not been notified of the new pre-clearance procedures and with only 1 hour 30 minutes to get past 3 security checks and U.S pre clearance was near impossible. So, 10 passengers including myself just waited while our flight took off. - In AUH airport, their staff gave us completely different directions. We would be told to go to the rebooking desk by the ground staff, and once we get there the ticketing agent informs us we cannot be rebooked for 3 hours and that the prior person did not know what she was talking about. - So, they make us stay awake for 5 hours from 2 am to 7 am seated in their waiting area, until someone finally is able to rebook us to our destinations in the UNited States. They rebooked us on connecting flights which added 5-6 hours to the flying time. Simply awful management. - The staff complaining about their jobs, miscommunication and other work related problems was really unprofessional when they had pregnant women and children waiting around for 5 hours."

Nadelen: "The flight were delayed, I missed the next flight because of the delay, the crue in brussel offered to replace the missed flight by another flight which were six hours latter, they said their is no earlier flight.i had to wait for six hours in abu dabi .when I reached abu dhabi I found another flight earlier than that.i tried with Etihad transfer disc to go in the earlier flight , they said it is not showing on tgeir system despite it is theifr on airport screens.they even didnot offer any help or lounge or hotel for rest in next 6hours.and I was travelling 18 hours before that si I have to wsit additional 6 making total 24 hr bec. Of their delay. Problems No integrity , they should be more trueful and helpful rather than shifting problems to otheres"

Nadelen: "I had requested vegetarian food specifically during my booking. But on the flight they said they did not carry any veg food at all. When i told them i had requested it earlier through their booking system, they revealed ( made up) a fact that food request had to be reconfirmed atleast 8 hours before the flight. I cannot make sense of this outrageous rule. How can a passenger who was on a trans atlantic flight just before for 16 hours, make a food request confirmation ? Either they do not bother honoring the itinerary requests or they used this as an excuse for their mistake."

Nadelen: "Business class seats.seemed to be available but no upgrade was offered"

Nadelen: "Seat not as comfortable as Emirates. Breakfast was soggy especially the hash brown and spinach. Crew not as friendly as Emirates. No snacks. I will fly with Emirates in the future. I thought Etihad was better than Emirates."

At my stop over in Abu Dhabi, the gate personal were forcefully requiring passengers to check in the hand luggage. The reason given was that there was no space in the overhead bin. On entering the plane, I noticed that there was enough overhead space. There is a lot of room for improvement in the in-flight services. The flight attendants need to be a little more polite ( I know it is hard to come by but please try)."
