After a long while it started working again. It was a long flight to not have entertainment the whole duration of the flight. Besides this little problem it was a very good flight. Nadelen: "SWISS always turns on the air conditioning too high on intercontinental flights. It is HOT inside the cabins. The entertainment system is very outdated, small screen and old and used hand set. Claiming to be a premium airline is unfortunately very overstated if you are unlucky to catch the old business class planes. Only few have changed to the new versions (777s) - Make sure to catch those."
Nadelen: "They charge you an extra $ 100 DOLLARS FOR THE OPTION TO PICK YOUR SEAT AND WHEN YOU CHECK IN THEY SAY THAT IT WAS JUST TO SIT IN THAT SECTION OF THE PLANE. WE PICKED OUR SEATS BY THE FRONT BULKHEAD AND WHEN WE CHECKED IN THEY REFUSED TO GIVE US THOSE SEATS BECAUSE THEY SAID OTHER PEOPLE PAID MORE THAN US TO HAVE THEM. THEY SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED FOR THIS KIND OF FRAUDULENT ACTIVITY."

Voordelen: "We were worried based on negative reviews on SWISS we had read prior to our trip, but they were WONDERFUL!! We flew coach from MIA to CRETE, two stops and 13+ hours of flying. The seats were as roomy as coach gets, but comfortable, reclining further than Delta or AA in my opinion. The food, drinks and snacks never stopped and were tasty!! Including a delicious Swiss chocolate a the end of your flight! They were so attentive! The attendants were all kind and polite. In fact, we had someone sit in front of us on our flight home who culturally didn't bath/wear deodorant and VERY malodorous and we asked the flight attendant if we could move. As soon as everyone boarded and she found two open seats for us, she moved us right before take off and we had a wonderful, great-smelling 10.5 hour flight!! LOL"
Nadelen: "There seems to only be 4 (plenty) bathrooms right in the center of the coach area of the plane, but with the flight attendants constantly serving drinks and food, you really had to time it so you could get to the bathrooms when they weren't in the aisles. Trust me though, this is hardly a negative and I will happily fly SWISS over and over!!!"
Voordelen: "The flight was very good what I didnt like in that when i booked the flight it never said that my ticket wouldnt be able to add lifemiles for star alliance. That was only the reason i chose this airline. When i ask about my lifemiles the answer was that my class of ticket didnt get any lifemile. I felt cheated. You should put it somewhere visibly so the person knows before booking. If i knew it before i never chose this airline."

The screen with the flight inf. stopped working mid-flight and we never got it back. No announcements either, and we did not know where we were or how much longer the flight would be until they announced our approach to Miami."

Voordelen: "The staff was very courteous. They offer drinks very often. The food was good. The chocolates; fabulous touch. The tv en each seat with new movies releases was a home run. The flight was very long but we were not bored, we saw 3 new movies, eat, drink and relax in a 11 hours flight. Oh, by the way, the hot towels to refresh us was perfect. Excellent experience."

Complicated flight schedule Malaga-Munich-Frankfurt-Buenos Aires with extremely short lay-over times in Munich and Frankfurt should have been prone to all sorts of problems with other airlines, but not with Lufthansa. Kudos for this! On top of this, extremely comfortable flights with good food, drinks and services topping it off for a most enjoyable Business Class flight experience, if such a thing exists."

Nadelen: "I bought the flight for my mom and she is handicap, the flight got delayed and they wanted to leave her in Frankfurt for 2 days because there was no more flights to the States, in the end they found a flight to Washington DC, she was coming to Miami. She is an old woman who gets lost and I had to order assistance for her, in Washington DC they opened her bags after that they lost the bags, she had medication on them and it was a nightmare to get them back. Im really upset and I don’t think That I’m going to book with this aero line again."

Many people on the flight from NY to Brussels were scheduled on this flight and that plane landed in time that this flight would only need to be delayed 10 minutes to allow for us to connect. However, they decided to leave all of us with a long unexpected layover in Brussels, costing many of us a day of what was supposed to be a short vacation for most."

Spent 2 hours on the phone trying to book them again, and ended up on a lower deck on the Miami - Frankfurt flight, but re-booked on the upper deck on Frankfurt- Miami flight although not the side seats as I originally booked myself, but in the middle section. The entertainment's touch screen system is inadequate, not reacting to touch efficiently."
Nadelen: "The flight was about 45 minutes delayed but it was okay with me since I had connection flight and I had a long connecting time."

Slightly disappointed."

Although comfortable for the ones reclining they are uncomfortable and at times painful ( taller people) and makes watching the screen impossible when fully reclined."

Nadelen: "It may be a cultural thing for some, but two of the flight attendants did not smile at all. Not even really an acknowledgement when I said hello to them. And I tried throughout the flight to see if it was just because they were too busy or simply did not hear or notice me. It's not a big deal now, but it can be if the whole staff were to become silent and non-interactive."

Voordelen: "I like the service in general. Everything was great and the flight attendants where very helpful and kind. The food was good and the entertainment had all types of movies, music and games."

Voordelen: "Smooth flight, very nice, polite crew, good entertainment selection. I'm a tall guy so I'll always complain about comfort lol. Food was OK. Choice of mystery pasta and once beef once chicken ( I had pasta twice )."
Voordelen: "In terms of things I liked flying with UA998 from Brussels to EWR: The boarding staff at Brussels airport was helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. Boarding procedure was smooth even with the extra security screening at the gate."
Nadelen: "It was quickly clear to me that the passengers where simply an inconvenience to some of the crew on UA998. As an example I fell asleep during take off and woke up in the middle of the meal service. The cart was only a couple of rows behind me in the half-ful Economy Plus section so I got up and tried to get the attention of the staff. The lady turned around and confirmed that "I had woken up" with a sigh, as is not only was it inconvenient to her that I was a sleep, now I had the nerves to actually ask for a meal. She presented me with the options of pasta and chicken and I politely asked what they where served with. She straight out said that "she really did not know that" and asked me to make a choice. I wont get into any other examples, the machine was half full at best and there was no stress, so frustrating to be treated like you are an inconvenience to the USA based staff who clearly just wanted to be left alone. The entertainment system barely worked, the touch monitor was very hard to operate - the pressure sensitive functionality was not working properly but I managed to get to my movie and avoid the Chinese subtitles in the third try. I fly United because it's part of Star Alliance, but otherwise I would try and avoid at all cost."

Voordelen: "I HAVE NOT FLOWN MUCH ON LUFTHANSA IN RECENT YEARS BUT THIS TRIP WAS THE RIGHT PRICE (THE NEXT DAY IT WENT UP BY ALMOST $1000.00) AND I UPGRADED TO BETTER ECONOMY SEATS. THE RELATIVE CHARGE WAS WELL WORTH IT. a WIDER AND SOFTER SEAT MAKES A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE ON THESE LONG FLIGHTS."

Voordelen: "Overall I would highly recommend the Lufthansa airlines to any of my friends and family. The flight was on time and we were able to board quickly without any delays. It was an 11 hrs flight and I was satisfied with the crew service (friendly and professional) and the comfort of the plane."
Nadelen: "The areas to improve: the food was just average."
Voordelen: "The crew was attentive and effective. The vegetarian food was excellent. Plane was clean. Bathrooms were checked regularly."
Nadelen: "Generally, I'm a happy camper and easy to understand some "discomfort" that comes with traveling. Return trip operated by United. Terrible experience. No legroom[I'm 6'-2"]. The seat confinement was so stressing that it was impossible for me but just to extract myself and find a place where i just could stand. Meaning I was standing most of the trip. My wife and myself are globetrotters and this was one of the worse flight experience ever."

Nadelen: "Flight from Chicago was delayed for two hours. Missed my connection flight to Odessa and still in Warsaw waiting for my flight to Odessa."

Nadelen: "Plane was a little late,which was OK. The bigger problem is the lost luggage."
Voordelen: "Everything was well organized and orderly, though the staff were not too cheerful or friendly. Even though it was a short 1 hour flight I saw flight attendants giving crayons and papers to the kids and everyone was offered a small chocolate cookie, a tiny packet of sour gummies, and a cup of water for free which I didn't expect. The plane was very small but clean and I was fairly comfortable in my seat for the short flight. There was a magazine in the seat pocket in English and Polish. Mostly I liked the cheap ticket price and that it was an on time flight."
Nadelen: "When we landed we went down 5 steps to the ground outside and got in a bus to go in the terminal. The plane was so small that there is very little space for carry on bags so that was a problem for some people, and as we entered the plane I noticed that the ceiling of the aisle is so low that my husband could touch his head on it if he went on his toes a bit (he's 6'4") It was odd to me that they had my husband and I assigned to seats an aisle apart, but a kind stranger agreed to change places. Lastly, the carry on baggage weight allowance is very low and they weighed our bags and we had to pay 24 dollars each for our overweight carry on roller bags which were then checked."

Nadelen: "Extremely cramped seats, late and almost didn't make connection, buses back and forth the whole way, jerky drivers."

Voordelen: "I am not sure where to start from but each lot employee I talk with had poor English and not the tinyest willing to help just to move , I had a flight back from cezh republic to JFK with a stop in Warsaw When I got to the front desk in the air port to print my ticket the Liady ( work at Sation 236 ) was very rude and anti costumer service she print me only my first fly ticket and when I ask why she " I don't know " I said ok so when u get there you know which get I go or where I will print the other ticket she say I don't know Ok and then I ask her can u check if it a room I. My flight from Warsaw to JFK in business it this moment she tell me I can switch sit and ask me to go I was shocked but this was only the bigining when I got to Warsaw I ask in the gate counter where should I go to print my ticket after I try to explain him 10 times what I mean ( he didn't speak English at all ) he told me to go pass the passport check and in gate 21 they will print it to me I fly a lot so I ask him if he sure becuse I am petty sure I will need my ticket the guy at the desk repeat imhim self so I want and waited 25-30 min in the line so the police officer in the passport check will tell me I need to go print my ticket So after the officer from the passport desk call someone he direct me to go to hate 26 and there they will print my ticket I want them and again wait for 15 min to print my ticket ( it was only me this is the sad thing I don't know what tool 15 min to print a ticket ) and it amazing how unsocial and 0 in customer service the lot polish employees I meet And this is without talking about the delay in my coming flight for 2-3 hrs ( a delay it something that happen a lot yes but the way they handled it again 0 in costumer service )"

May have been more/less, but standing there in that stuffy bus made it feel worse than it was. Departure flight was delayed, so my 50 minute layover may have contributed to my bag not being transferred, and lost."

So, I had in no time to ask at the check point tofi s my name in the list and give me another tickets. It was very stressful."

Nadelen: "Our tickets were economy class Y for all of our flights, and we each checked a bag free on the outbound trip. But, returning we had to pay 170 euros for our 2 checked (1 each) bags. TAP (Air Portugal) in Toulouse said our outbound flights were "Basic" fares while our return flights were "Discounted" fares. Discounted fares do not include checked bags while Basic fares include 1 free checked bag. We paid $3,106.36 for the round trip for both of us, which hardly seems like a discounted fare, before paying an additional 170 euros on the return flight. I will be looking into filing a Class Action suit trying to recover all overcharges on behalf of all passengers."

Voordelen: "The planes were fantastic, wish all other airlines provided the same amenities. There was ample leg room (even in the economy peasant class), there were innovative changes in the pullout tray, beverage holder, convenience of charging devices, a mirror, specific pockets for books/glass cases/snacks. And a very comfortable headrest which made snoozing easier."
Nadelen: "Contacting TAP Customer Service was a nightmare. It took forever before anyone answered the phone &, when they did, it was VERY difficult to understand their English. Forget reaching ANYONE after 9 pm; ditto for trying to do anything online, e.g., checking in, picking seats, modifying reservations, etc. If you are forced to do anything at night, prepare yourself for total frustration."

Nadelen: "Inbound flight - flight got canceled from Budapest - after calling the airline and waiting in the line the 2 first lady I was talking to put me on hold and never got back to me, the 3rd lady had no idea why the flight got canceled except it was for emergency. She said next flight would be 2 days later - after calling the insurance I booked for the flight, they didn't want to reimburse for the interruption because the airline could not explain why it got canceled and i should prove that the flight was canceled - after being 6h on the phone with airline and insurance and waiting line had to hang of without solution. I had to purchase a new ticket from another airline to be able to fly on the same day back to Miami. - after arriving at the airport next morning for the other flight it turns out that Tap Portugal booked me to British Airways but they have not send me a notification email about it, so if I do not ask at the counter for Tap Portugal for the paperwork for the insurance I would never find out that i got a new flight and i would have miss it and the insurance would have never pay for it. With the new ticket i had to purchase, my travel with Tap Portugal cost me on the end around $3000, and I do not have that much money for a ticket at all, now I have a financial trouble. Thanks, never again."

It is like watching TV where you may tune in to a movie 20 minutes into it playing instead of starting whatever movie you want from the beginning. To make matters worse, there was no plug-in in case you wanted to watch entertainment of your own on phone/iPad."

Nadelen: "The Lisbon airport is very difficult to navigate; signage is poor, and there are not enough staff on the ground. The waiting lines for TAP check-in are outrageous. TAP policy states they allow choosing a seat starting 36 hours of departure, but the poorly designed website let me book seats, and then asked me to pay; at the airport they also told me I had to pay on check-in to choose a seat. Worst of all, at the gate, the waiting area forces all passengers to wait while standing in a big herd - an hour - while police spot check random passenger carry-ons and perform body checks."

At the end of a 9 hour flight I was starving by the time we landed. Constant updates over the loud speaker by the pilot and stewardess got annoying; felt like every 20-30 minutes and saying the same thing, and saying it in 3 different laugages."

At that point, I had trouble walking. Staff their found a wheelchair for me. This may be more airport operations in Lisbon - but I bet TAP has a lot to do with that. Seat control for video and movies didn't work."
Voordelen: "Lisbon airport is very well organized , and that helps a lot when doing a fligth connection . Lines at passport control were long but they move fast . There was staff people helping travelers whose flights were already boarding . On the plane lunch was delicious . I had bacallao, frango escabeche and white wine . Crew was very polite ."

Food bad even for airline standards and Air Europa may have worst coffee of any airline - I can't imagine worse."

Voordelen: "Plane was new and everything worked. TVs were nice and the automatic adjustable window tint was a nice touch. Food was pretty good and movie selection was also nice."
Nadelen: "Cannot control the temperature as they have no adjustable air vents above you - so it got pretty hot during one portion of our flight. Also our flight took off over an hour late and the communication as to what was happening was not the best."

Nadelen: "We had to wait 1hr on board of the plane because there was no tractor available to push the plane back to the taxi ramp at the Barajas Airport in Madrid. Flight was late at Miami Food is the worst and hardly any. Entertainment is basic and had to pay for the headphones which should be included."
Nadelen: "The boarding was somehow on time at the first beginning. However, after we have all boarded, they announced that 3 of the passengers decided not to flown with us. Therefore, in order to take out their luggage, we were on board waiting for about 45 minutes more. It is obvious that the flight was overbooked."
Voordelen: "Left late again. Baby cried in ur row (that we paid extra for), for 9 of the 9 1/2 hrs. Had to go ask for drinks . Seats too narrow. Too many people squeezed into plane."
Voordelen: "Left 90 minutes late and you shouldn't put people in a chair that can't recline. Ten hours in the last row was agonizing."
Voordelen: "There was overbooking so they promoted me to business class, that was the best part! I liked that they had the latest Terminator movie available too. The plane was new and looked nice."
Nadelen: "My inbound flight was two hours late because the plane didn't arrived on time. This time the flight was scheduled earlier and the plane was on time. However, we departed again with more delays due to poor boarding management. The crew was correct and polite but I'd appreciate having more water available. I boarded with my own bottle of water which I emptied and still felt very thirsty since they weren't passing water around as frequently as I'd like. BA cares about that aspect much better."
Voordelen: "The service is great, nice crew, always helping the traveler. Entertainment system is very good with several movies, programs, The musci system is very poor. but they charge for headphones. The food is good."
Nadelen: "The layout of the plane, the rows are too close. This is a Boeing 787, beautiful plane, but you are tight in your seat, so is a long, long, long trip. Maybe is because is form LOT Airlines?"
