Voordelen: "My partner and I loved our first flight with Swiss from JFK to Zurich the chairs was amazing, we enjoyed the full bed and the entertainmnet screen was amazing to enjoy. The food was delicious and the service was amazing."
Nadelen: "My Partner and I was dissatisfied with our connecting from Zurich to Cairo. We expected the same flight but we were in basically in coach with little more leg room. The chairs barely reclined to a comfortable position. There was no entertainment, just a three and a half hour flight at the flight plan on a small tv hanging over. their was no differentiation between the economy behind us. just the food that was brought to us, other felt the same as well who were traveling in business with us."

Nadelen: "I did not like the way Beatice of Swiss Air in Zurich completely rushed me at the gate without trying to talk to Mr. Mueller at checkin 1. I told her that He had starte an ardious process in recovering my luggage. She visibly tried to rush me through the process and told me there was othing that could be done. It felt really ugly to be lied to right to my face, when she diditn try to connect with someone from her own staff who had tried alot of heard to work to help me rectify the luggage question. For all we know, my luggage was in Zuruch, and her actions impeded the luggage from getting onto my plane."

Nadelen: "Our flight was delayed 25 minutes leaving Rome."

Nadelen: "I didn't get on the flight because they lost my luggage and they refuse to give me a new ticket. I was back and forth on the phone with Swiss and still no good word"

Then we had to wait in another Passport Control. TERRIBLE and stressful. The actual flight was fine."

Nadelen: "SWISS always turns on the air conditioning too high on intercontinental flights. It is HOT inside the cabins. The entertainment system is very outdated, small screen and old and used hand set. Claiming to be a premium airline is unfortunately very overstated if you are unlucky to catch the old business class planes. Only few have changed to the new versions (777s) - Make sure to catch those."

Voordelen: "The flight from San Francisco to Zürich with Swiss was a very positive experience (better than last time!) The flight attendants were very responsive and friendly, the food was really good (for airline food!), the wine, too, and the entertainment selection was excellent (and everything worked.) I'll find out how the return flight compares at the end of February...Thank you, Swiss!"

Voordelen: "Easily the most comfortable I've ever been in TATL economy. Lufthansa's 747-8 is set up strangely: the main deck is arranged First - Business - Economy - Prem. Economy - Economy. This means that if you can book a seat in the forward economy mini-cabin, you get dedicated cabin crew, no other passengers walking through your space to get to the bathroom, plenty of bin space, and – best of all – a lot of aisle space to stretch your legs. Row 16 aisle seats are especially good, as the bulkhead between J and Y doesn't extend all the way, and therefore you can stretch your feet out. Food was actually excellent (for economy), hot and flavorful and generous, with snacks available mid-flight. Beverages also tops – gotta love Lufthansa for offering Campari (!) and more than one wine choice."
Nadelen: "Entertainment (music and movies at least) was up-to-date but not very interested. Boarding and transit security in Frankfurt was anxiety-inducing – between getting to the US departures area and additional screening, it took more than an hour from deplaning to getting in line. Boarding w/o group numbers was an exercise in patience. And the terminal wifi is so spotty!"

Nadelen: "Economy seats leave no room for relaxed arms - i had mine in front of me for 9 hours as the seat was SO small! As am I!!"

Voordelen: "Lufthansa pilots are some of the best in the industry and the flight was extremely smooth from take off to landing. There were bouts of turbulence but the pilot immediately changed altitudes to steer away from it. Flying on the 748 is a pleasure and it's a shame these great planes will eventually all be phased out in favor of more fuel efficient 787s and their Airbus counterparts."
Nadelen: "Having to pay 86€ for a second suitcase that weighed just 15kg. In JFK they didn't charge me but Germans always go by the book. I think for the price of the ticket and lower gasoline costs compared to the height of the recession this is simply outrageous. Next time I'll pay for economy plus. You get a seat that is wider than economy but a little bit less legroom than a business one and the second baggage is included. The meal was nothing special but the friendliness of the flight attendants made up for it."

Nadelen: "Hickups in entertainment screens. Seats seem te be smaller again Rows without windows"

Voordelen: "The crew was nice Checking was quick and painless Entertainment had a limited options but good"
Nadelen: "Very limited food options. I get it is not first class but not everyone likes only chicken or fish"

Nadelen: "This flight was the second leg on my trip from New York to Munich. Many people on the flight from NY to Brussels were scheduled on this flight and that plane landed in time that this flight would only need to be delayed 10 minutes to allow for us to connect. However, they decided to leave all of us with a long unexpected layover in Brussels, costing many of us a day of what was supposed to be a short vacation for most."

Nadelen: "The flight was about 45 minutes delayed but it was okay with me since I had connection flight and I had a long connecting time."

Nadelen: "We booked these flights expecting Lufthansa. Little disappointed to learn they were Brussels airlines. Inflight entertainment options and meal options don't seem to be as good. Flight crew was pleasant and fine. After learning it was Brussels airlines I went through their check-in process for families and requested kid-friendly meals, but nothing came of it. Slightly disappointed."

Voordelen: "The person sitting next to me was congenial. We had a lot in common and enjoyed good conversation between movies. I also got to see two movies I misse in the theater. The trip passed quickly and enjoyably."
Nadelen: "There is not enough leg room on any flights for taller passengers. On long flights, more than four hours, there should be enough space for short walks around the plane."

Nadelen: "Seats recline too much. When the person in front of you reclines his/her seat, you feel like you're in a tunnel with the seat back just inches from your face. However, the flight attendant was very kind and asked passengers to lift seats for the main meal, which was very nice."

Voordelen: "In terms of things I liked flying with UA998 from Brussels to EWR: The boarding staff at Brussels airport was helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. Boarding procedure was smooth even with the extra security screening at the gate."
Nadelen: "It was quickly clear to me that the passengers where simply an inconvenience to some of the crew on UA998. As an example I fell asleep during take off and woke up in the middle of the meal service. The cart was only a couple of rows behind me in the half-ful Economy Plus section so I got up and tried to get the attention of the staff. The lady turned around and confirmed that "I had woken up" with a sigh, as is not only was it inconvenient to her that I was a sleep, now I had the nerves to actually ask for a meal. She presented me with the options of pasta and chicken and I politely asked what they where served with. She straight out said that "she really did not know that" and asked me to make a choice. I wont get into any other examples, the machine was half full at best and there was no stress, so frustrating to be treated like you are an inconvenience to the USA based staff who clearly just wanted to be left alone. The entertainment system barely worked, the touch monitor was very hard to operate - the pressure sensitive functionality was not working properly but I managed to get to my movie and avoid the Chinese subtitles in the third try. I fly United because it's part of Star Alliance, but otherwise I would try and avoid at all cost."

Voordelen: "Hats off and Thank you to the Man behind the counter at the gate. My knees are bad and I walk with a cane, he ensured I was transported safely and in time to the new gate when we had to switch gates because of plane issues."
Nadelen: "When a couple of ladies boarded and were going to be seated in the exit isle. going by the color of their skin and the clothes they were wearing, the stewardess with long blonde hair, assumed they did not speak English, and rather rudely told them that they should not be in this row. To which they responded in prefect English. told her they were comfortable with the emergency seat and helping passengers. She kept pushing them and finally they switched with a couple other passengers. VERY RUDE!!!!"

Nadelen: "We missed the connection so never made this flight."

Voordelen: "Melanie/ticketing was superior in securing seats on a different departure. She endured many nervous travelers. The new itinerary matched our original time of arrival at ORD within 2 hours. :)"
Nadelen: "The free check-in of our carry on bags only dissapointed us when not arriving at ORD. We expect them to be delivered soon."

Voordelen: "Entertainment is great, although I did not use it much this flight"
Nadelen: "Seats were uncomfortable, tighter than I remember last time I flew Luft."

Voordelen: "The crew was attentive and effective. The vegetarian food was excellent. Plane was clean. Bathrooms were checked regularly."
Nadelen: "Generally, I'm a happy camper and easy to understand some "discomfort" that comes with traveling. Return trip operated by United. Terrible experience. No legroom[I'm 6'-2"]. The seat confinement was so stressing that it was impossible for me but just to extract myself and find a place where i just could stand. Meaning I was standing most of the trip. My wife and myself are globetrotters and this was one of the worse flight experience ever."

Nadelen: "I paid €60 extra to sit in the emergency door seat to get more leg room but once.i was in the plane learned for more leg room I accepted a smaller seat next to a bathroom and no entertainment. I could not store my belongings near me. No power outlet to charge my devices for my own entertainment on a 7 hour flight. Dealing with constant traffic for the bathroom. I sat in the middle seat between two hours other men. It was a constant struggle arm space. After 7hours in the air I could not wait to get off the plane. If I didn't actually pay an extra €60 for the seat I may not feel bad but I feel like I might have been better off without paying for the "upgrade""

Voordelen: "In Toronto werd ik aangesproken door een dame van KLM met de vraag hoe ik reisde, alleen of in groepsverband etc. Zij gaf aan dat ik gebruik kon maken van de lounge en dat er hulp aanwezig was om bagage in te checken bij de self check-in. Uitermate vriendelijke en behulpzame dame. Tijdens de vlucht was er zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam cabinepersoneel beschikbaar."

Relaxing atmosphere, comfortable seating, great in-flight entertainment, although I have the go-go in-flight data/entertainment plan with t-mobile (highly recommended), the flight included a decent selection of movies, television programs, etc. The food far exceeded typical "airline quality," even for an international flight - and included a fabulous little snack box with locally sourced gourmet and specialty items such as chocolate from Belgium, fine cheeses from France, and crackers from England. Drinks = gratis, and crew was exceptionally attentive and went out of their way to make flight as pleasant as possible."

Nadelen: "Unable to pick seats in advance,, were assigned seats that did not recline for 11 hour flight. One bathroom not functioning. Very limited movie choices for inflight entertainment. Seat belts much shorter than other airlines, so very confining, unable to loosen to relax in any position other than sitting straight in seat. In Rome had to check in & go through security at Terminal 5 then get bussed to Terminal 3. Only airport where we had to take out all electronics, including converter plugs, headphones, etc, place in a flimsy clear plastic bag ( that broke ) to go through security. Line to check bags pretty slow for number of passengers. Glad we had plenty of time."

Nadelen: "My girlfriend were scheduled to come back from Marrakech together (albeit on separate reservations), however KLM could not find her reservation in their system and would not let her on the plane. I had to leave her behind in Marrakech. KLM had the audacity to ask her to purchase another ticket, even though she clearly had a valid reservation (how else would she had gotten to Marrakech in the first place?). After arguing with KLM for many hours, they finally booked her on a flight the following day, but refused to put her up in a hotel for the night, or compensate her for the trouble. Completely irresponsible behaviour from KLM. Will never fly with them again."

Nadelen: "Seats moved several times, separated. Media screen didn't work on this 10 hour flight--again. They now changed return flight."

Nadelen: "No food or entertainment on this short flight, which I wouldn't expect. No way to not rate these items on the survey."

Nadelen: "Extreme delay supposedly as a result of a lightning strike to the plane. About 9 hours delay and a missed connection. The only compensation given for this dealy was a voucher for a 20 Euro meal at the airport restaurant of my choice. I know planes get hit by lightning on average of once a year, but it typically does not take 3 to 4 hours to inspect and confirm the safety of the plane's electrical system. But perhaps better safe than sorrry!"

Voordelen: "Cheap for my August flight, possibility to make a long layover in Warsaw to visit the city. Food was good"
Nadelen: "Seat cushion was thick and hard. First time I had to use a folded blanket to make a plushy seat for a 11 hours flight between LA and WAW."

Voordelen: "Boarding was quick and well organized despite the full flight. In fact check-in and security were pleasantly quick in Budapest. The flight time was almost an hour shorter than scheduled which was a pleasant surprise - it was great to have at least four of the cabin crew who spoke Hungarian. As the people in front of us didn't recline their seats, we had decent legroom. Food was good, cabin crew were attentive."
Nadelen: "Nothing - though arrival in Chicago was not pleasant - huge lines at immigration and customs - took an hour and half from getting off the plane to getting out of the customs hall."

Voordelen: "Unexpectedly our luggage was still dispatched on time to our final destination dispite the delay and short time in Warsaw airport."
Nadelen: "The absence of clear communication on the duration of the delay or its reason and this despite the fact all passengers had been boarded on time."

Nadelen: ""beds" not as comfortable as British Air, Qantas or Air NZ, which are all we have to compare it to Grasp of English of crew not great. Choices of menu in Business limited, especially for those not eating pork or beef (again,not our experience on the above mentioned airlines) The requested vegetarian meal was the same for both dinner and breakfast, and consisted of the same plain cooked vegetables and fresh fruits only"

Nadelen: "Still waiting for our luggage two hours after deplaning. The luggage has not been unloaded from the plane. Hundreds of people still waiting This is unacceptable"

Voordelen: "NOTHING!!!!!"

Voordelen: "The flight was good. Budapest is an easy enough airport to deal with though why LOT only has one desk available at check in for economy passengers is questionable. The second desk for important passengers did become available when there was no one in line there, but still. Flight crew, staff were all helpful and approachable. Captain gave passengers relevant information and cabin crew did the same. The Flight was problem free no turbulence no delays just well run and well organized."

Voordelen: "My flight was pretty comfortable. I had heard so many negative things about LOT Airlines, but I loved the cabin crew who were extremely courteous, and the food served was pretty good (dinner and breakfast since it was an overnight flight). The entertainment was pretty good as well; they even had some Oscar nominations like Dunkirk and Shape of Water available to watch. Overall, I was very pleased with my flight experience."
Nadelen: "The only thing that I was not a fan of, but which didn't bother me that much/didn't affect me that much, was that we departed from JFK in NYC *an hour late* because we boarded so late. For some people, this caused an issue with their connection in Warsaw, but for me, I luckily had a four hour layover. Still, an hour is pretty bad in terms of departure."

So, I had in no time to ask at the check point tofi s my name in the list and give me another tickets. It was very stressful."

We were taken to the airplane in a bus, which I understand it happens, but it was -10 celsius and raining so the trip from the bus onto the plane was very uncomfortable. I expected a better boarding system from the Polish national airline at the capital airport."

I count 5 call button on in my section that stayed on for the flight. The next time I went to get some water the lady was on her cell phone!!!!"

I didn't get a reminder check-in email when I was flying out and that worried me a bit that there may be something wrong with my reservation. It also irritated me that because I had booked my flight through Kayak and not Air Canada directly I was not able to make any changes to the reservation online - I had to call their reservation phone number (from another country) and be put on hold for 20 minutes (so needless to say it was an expensive phone call)."

En plus une fois arrive a notre place il ny avait a peine de choix qui restait pour la nourriture. Tres peu de choix de film Je suis legerement decue de mon allé mais mon retour sest bien passé."

Voordelen: "Très bon vol , personnel courtois et attentionné. Nourriture excellente"

Voordelen: "Staff was really friendly, the flight attendant was even wearing a little witch hat for Halloween, which I really liked. Due to an underbooked flight, we had free choice of seat, because I originally was booked on an aisle seat, I could change to a window seat, that was nice. Since it was a small machine from Toronto to Minneapolis (a little more than 1,5h flight), there was no entertainment system, besides the nice view out of the window. And who likes to start a movie during such a short flight, to not be able to finish it? They also ask you to hand in your carry-on before you enter the plane, because there is not enough space for it inside, which I liked, no wiggeling along the aisle with a little trolley, I just fetched it outside the plane after we landed."
Nadelen: "Unfortunately, Air Canada didn't serve gluten-free snacks on any of my flights yet (I had good gluten free food though). This is not meant as a negative review, because as an allergic you're usually prepared. It's more a suggestion for gluten-free snacks, peanuts or m&m's work as well as most gummy bears or chocolates :)"

Voordelen: "Roomy, professional, friendly. Very efficient. Beverages, meals and snacks were timed well, so that the long flight felt like it went much quicker. I'm not particularly picky or spoiled, so me rating the breakfast and lunch as great, may not be the same fOr others. But my meals were delicious to me. I would definitely fly Canada air again."

Nadelen: "1. Food very substandard. Hot food not very well prepared and rather tasteless, and snack was like a cardboard wrap with some salsa sauce in it. A disgrace to a major airline like Air Canada. Selection of drinks very limited. 2, Staff persisted in speaking mostly French, on an international flight. Some announcements were made only in French. As a Canadian, I can follow French, but let us remember that English is the international language. To use French is not fair to other nationalities, who expect English. 3. Seats far too close together for a long flight. There was more legroom on the Jazz flight from Montreal to Ottawa! 4. Entertainment kept breaking down. Headphones for my wife did not work, and eventually both of our screens went dead. Her's quit right in the middle of a movie. Bad!! 5. Boarding passes had zones on them, but these were totally disregarded in boarding. This resulted on overcrowding, long waits, etc. Hard on older people!"

Voordelen: "Dans l'avion c'était correct. Je voyage souvent donc je suis habituée."
Nadelen: "J'avais ma carte d'embarquement depuis des heures mais sans siège. Lorsque j'ai approché la personne s'occupant de l'embarquement elle était froide et sans personnalité. Elle nous a dit d'aller nous asseoir (toutes les personnes n'ayant pas de siège). Pas sympa du tout. J'ai finalement eu un siège 2 minutes avant l'embarquement et j'étais bien stressée à l'idée de ne pas pouvoir monter dans l'avion. L'avion était aussi en retard. Vous vendez plus de billets que le nombre de places et cela ne devrait pas se faire. Vraiment frustré par ce dernier vol."

Nadelen: "The gate facility at the Toronto airport was worse than a bus terminal. It was over-crowded and chaotic. Again, we boarded through the tarmac and not through a walkway."

Nadelen: "Though not in your control, we had a two hour late start. The gate area was crowded with too little seating. It was so far from the main airport area that refreshments were hard to get. The airline did give some snacks but nothing very substantial. Our 8:30 something flight didn't get off until after 10."

Nadelen: "Flight was delayed forced us to stay in Ottawa an extra night. Only compensation we received was a $10 meal voucher!!"

Nadelen: "The boarding gate for small aircraft is very far away from the terminal. There was not enough seating for all those waiting for flights"

Voordelen: "Efficient boarding."
Nadelen: "Strong stink coming from bathroom. We were seated toward he back (maybe 2-3 rows from the restroom and it was strong smelling at times."

Voordelen: "i LIKE THE EARLY ARRIVAL....."
Nadelen: "i DON'T LIKE THAT ARRIVING AT THE GATE EARLY STILL MEANS A DELAY TO DISEMBARK. i'M SURE THEY MUST KNOW ONE OR TWO HOURS BEFORE LANDING THAT THE FLIGHT WILL BE EARLY. wHY CAN'T THE GATE BE READY TO APPROACH STRAIGHTAWAY?"

Voordelen: "Les films"
Nadelen: "Le retard d'une heure après l'embarquement."

Nadelen: "J'ai réussi à utiliser le divertissement sur mon portable, seulement pour le voir jammer à chaque 10 minutes et m'empêcher de réellement "être divertie" par celui-ci. Les sièges et les acoudoires sont terriblement inconfortables. Le service en français par l'équipage n'était pas au rendez-vous.. seulement dans la portion entre Montréal et Toronto."

Nadelen: "The flight attendants were overwhelmingly rude and unhelpful."

Nadelen: "Delayed baggage took 3 days to get to my home. Flight attendant had assured me that the bag (sports equipment) made the connection which it hadn't."

Nadelen: "The flight was delayed an hour and the lounge was not large enough to accommodate all of the passengers in Toronto."

Voordelen: "I was surprised at how much leg room there was. Also, there were a lot of entertainment choices for such a short flight."
Nadelen: "They didn't clearly call zones, so I wasn't sure when I could board and ended up being one of the last people to get on the plane."

Nadelen: "Overly crowded in the are awaiting for flight. It was not organized well and you could tell staff was getting on edge from customers asking about boarding. The departure times should be spread out to avoid this."

Nadelen: "Because of a three and a half hour delay on the first leg of the journey, I missed the overseas flight. They out me up in a hotel, but I had to wait 24 hrs for the next flight. There was no attempt to get me on another flight and so far no willingness to compensate me for the other travel I had to rebook."

Nadelen: "Old tiny plane, delayed two hours because of what seemed like sheer stupidity. I mean we had to wait an extra 30 mins on top of the regular delay time because they loaded the bags wrong. I had already been traveling over 24 hours due to the time zone differences and this last flight was just intolerable. Certainly it could have been worse, but this was just terrible already."

Voordelen: "Food was actually pretty good and the staff did reasonably well even though most of the customers were clearly unhappy."
Nadelen: "A majority of flights run by Air Canada to the US were delayed. If this had been due to weather, fine, but at least our delay was caused by mechanical malfunction. Our flight was delayed for 5 hours due to multiple different mechanical issues including that the bathroom would not function during the entire flight, the wing flap had issues and the door would not seal correctly. The flight immediately preceding ours to Minneapolis was also delayed by over 4 hours. Surprisingly the flight before that also had a bathroom malfunction that prevented customers from using the bathroom. If this was the exception we could understand, but looking at the history of our flight, it's only on time 23% of the time. The poor customer service people must hate their lives. Something needs to change."

Nadelen: "The small claustrophobic feel of the plane. Every time the steward pushed the cart up,the aisle he bumped into me and was kind of rude."

Nadelen: "The internet wasn't working but not a problem for a 1 hour flight."
