Nadelen: "Our flight to Bali was cancelled due to the volcano eruption. We did not receive any compensation, but Singapore/Silk Airlines told us they were able to get us a flight home to LAX instead, but that it wouldn't be until the next day. We spent money on a hotel and food and waited until the next morning, got to the airport early for check in only to find that Singapore/Silk had in fact, given up our seats that they had promised us. They said that we now would have to wait another day just to get a flight from Singapore to LAX. We asked to speak with a manager, and eventually were able to get two seats due to cancellations. This was intended to be a very special and romantic trip that was essentially ruined. Since no one could have anticipated that the volcano would cause cancellation, we should be refunded for our flights. We are so crushed that we did not get to go to Bali, and now we may NEVER get to go because we are out of money. At the VERY least, the leg of our flights from Singapore to Bali, and Bali to Singapore, should be refunded. We are extremely disappointed."

If Hong Kong makes you do that switch over to another airport, better yet make no halt. I have flown direct from SF to Singapore before so not sure why this halt."

Seats are comfy and spacious, much wider than Emirates in the same class (who offer only an extra 1/2 inch width over economy). Amenity kit a quality piece that is both practical and useful."

The airplane chairs were small and no leg room, on a 7 hour flight to Barcelona that was exhausting! Couldn't manage to get some sleep at all. Overall, at least I arrived to my destination safe and sound. Thank you!"

Nadelen: "I will never fly this airline again! Terrible customer service. Would not offer us complimentary airport hotel stay for a 19 hour layover. Wanted us to switch and pay to an earlier flight. Never again."

Nadelen: "I planned a wonderful vacation for my birthday only to face a horrible experience. Not only was the flight uncomfortable, but my television did not work. There was a huge box underneath the seat in front of me which prevented me from stretching my legs outward. The television was on but the screen itself wasn't operating. I reached for the remote located in the armrest only to find the entire piece missing. Only the base was there. I asked the flight attendents three times if I can move to an empty seat and they said "give me a moment". The moment never came. I really expected more from this airline."

Voordelen: "Have flown emirates and etihad business - now sampled the best by far. Qatar's a380 was incredible but the a330 on wind leg whilst not as nice was mademupmfor by the best crew I have experienced ever - WOULD NOT HESITATE TO FLY AGAIN"

Voordelen: "Qatar airways always seems to handle busy flights and crammed seats calmly, efficiently and on time. It's a long haul - 16+ hours, and if you have to go economy as a 6 foot tall person, their seats recline well, seemingly better than many. You have to plan your long layovers, and they do offer assistance with hotel transfers, but they don't advertise this very clearly - so do your homework before flying!"

Nadelen: "I have travelled fro hyderabad to miami,i had a bad experience at hyderabad air port at qatar counter for baggage Please baggage standards should be unique across all airports travelling from miami they accepted the laptop bag plus 7kg small trolley cabin luggage In retun journey qatar pople said laptop and small trolly bag should be of 7kg .my laptop itself 6kgs is there and they charged me 65usd as excess luggage. I said iwas not charged extra at miami why you are charging extra here ,they said rules are different at miami but in hyderabad this is the case I am very much frustrated on this service ,atleast once in a year i will travell on qatar from next time i never prefer to travel on this carrier. Thanks a lot for great qatar servic"

All of a sudden fifteen minutes after the flight got to the gate, passengers were allowed to exit through the back door of the flight. Chair was stuck and wouldn't recline. Handle to the chair was also stuck. Plane was not clean. Handle rest and book pouch were sticky. Restrooms were not clean. They ran out of toilet paper in about 3 hours on a 12.5 hour flight. Flight was not equipped with Toilet seat covers Fruit platter was a big joke. It consisted of 2 small quarter slices of pineapple, papaya and orange respectively with a single small green grape to enhance the look of the platter. Whatever happened to serving an apple or banana. Besides, the fruits were either too raw, too sweaty, too warm or too overripe. First time experiencing a warm plate of fruits. By far this serving is not a full fruit platter, and nor can it be a substitute for a meal. Fruit as a meal should not be served as fruit on the side. Serving size has to be larger considering that is the full meal. When asked for water, the stewardess serving my row of passengers came with the reply, "I just gave you one a few minutes ago." Please understand there could be more reason for asking for water which is usually served half full in a 4 ounce disposable cup."

Nadelen: "I have been flying Turkish Air quite a bit since 2011. I have noticed that on some shorter flights they are using newer planes with a bit more leg room, but on their longer flights (Like the one I take quite a bit from Los Angeles-Istanbul) they are using older planes that are horrific for anyone over 6' tall. I can't even sit in the seat without my legs jamming against the seat in front of me, and when the recline, I have to sit sideways. They are also very small sideways. I am a big guy, but not overweight, and barely fit in the seats. Their seats are definitely getting worse since I started and they ended their economy plus seat option, which at least gave you an option, for a couple hundred dollars more, you could have a nice seat. This is of course to make more money and jam more people on their planes without caring at all for the passengers comfort when you are flying, and it makes those long 12-14 hour flights miserable! Also, the planes are very hot when you board, which can be very uncomfortable, and they no longer give you a hot towel (As they used to) until the plane has taken off. They also do not serve a 1st beverage right away after take off (10,000'). Your first beverage is with the first meal, and then you are not served anything again until the second meal, whereas most other airlines serve drinks throughout the flight. SO you fly for 12 hours with 2 service times and no offers of drinks, snacks, etc. during the flight."

Nadelen: "The customer service in Istanbul airport (for Turkish Airlines) did not speak or understand English at all. She could not give us any helpful information of our flight"

Nadelen: "The flight was cancelled and I still didnt receive my refund."

Nadelen: "The service on Turkish airlines was not friendly or helpful. The food was not quality, or food tasting. The entertainment didn't include a lot of movies at all. One of the flights did even give headphones. The staff wasn't rude and not helpful, and didn't make the flight comfortable. I had high hopes flying with Turkish Airlines for the first time, but I was thoroughly disappointed with everything."

Voordelen: "Lots of in flight entertainment options. Good meals. Very nice and helpful attendants. Gave us pillows, blankets, headphones, slippers, socks, ear plugs, an eye mask, and toothbrush and toothpaste."

Voordelen: "The overall experience was good. The food was good, the comfort was good and the service was good compared to other airlines I have been on. I particularly liked the safety video. It was a refreshing change."
Nadelen: "There were a few delays in taking off and the second delay nearly cause me to miss my flight. I had to run through the airport which was a stressful experience. However, I did end up catching the flight and my bags reached to the destination on time. So overall it didn't cause anything more than stress to catching the flight. =)"

Nadelen: "When you are doing a long flight, you don't want fruit to be the only choice for dessert. It's hard enough being gluten free but to find that nearly every airline just thinks that fruit is acceptable is disappointing. They did provide a gluten free bread roll rather than the usual rice cakes but on two recent legs, didn't heat it. When I told the flight crew the second time that it is inedible when not heated, he was great and said he would do that. And it is nice to eat grilled vegetables which are delicious but sometimes particularly on a long flight, a bit more variety is needed. Turkish Airlines is excellent but fixing this would make it great."

Nadelen: "First let me tell you that when I booked a flight to Istanbul from Brussels, I booked, so I thought, the airport called Istanbul Ataturk with the initials of IST. What I got was SAW after I paid for a booking that said IST. Sabina Gokcen is one hour away further on the Asian side of Turkey. I did not want this airport! There was nothing I could do about this but bite the bullet & accept what I got since I was not allowed to have any corrections made after paying for this ticket. I am highly disappointed with Kayak. The first time you have disappointed me greatly!"

Nadelen: "The pilot aborted the landing at the last minute and flew to Another airport where we sat on the runway for an hour with no information. After an hour they said it was up to us if we wanted to stay at the airport or continue on to our original destination, with no information where our connecting flights would be. After continuing on to my origina airport, I was forced to buy a visa out of pocket and spend 6 hour waiting for information from the airline. Finally they shuttled me an hour and a half to the previous airport, being very rude the entire time and making me miss the reason I traveled to my destination in the first place."

Voordelen: "Food was great and service friendly. They weren't stingy, either; even on the 3 hour flight you got a real meal. Boarding went smoothly, too. Transfer was easy. In flight entertainment had lots of good choices."
Nadelen: "The seats were too small with too little leg room. I'm not that tall, only 5'8", but I could not barely get the headrest up to my height, and my knees still touched the seat in front."

KLM offer a superior flight experience - it is a shame their terrestrial customer servic does not match it!"

Nadelen: "Seats on the 777 were too narrow. This 777 had a 3-4-3 seating arraignment, it would have been better with a 3-3-3, similar to a 787 configuration. With the current layout, even with an aisle seat, I was sitting in the aisle. And I am not a large person! The flight was full, so use the 787 and two daily non-stops. For a twelve hour flight, the food was only Okay, could have been better and with a better selection. Meal timing was poor."

No hay un teléfono a donde hablar, la web está desactualizada y con información equivocada. Direccionan a usar canales de twitter y facebook que no responden. Primer experiencia en KLM y no pienso nunca más usar esta aerolínea. Llevar el equipaje o resolver un problema sobre valijas es de lo más básico de una aerolínea y no lo hacen."

Voordelen: "In Toronto werd ik aangesproken door een dame van KLM met de vraag hoe ik reisde, alleen of in groepsverband etc. Zij gaf aan dat ik gebruik kon maken van de lounge en dat er hulp aanwezig was om bagage in te checken bij de self check-in. Uitermate vriendelijke en behulpzame dame. Tijdens de vlucht was er zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam cabinepersoneel beschikbaar."

Nadelen: "Lang wachten bij de incheck"

Voordelen: "We vertrokken vanuit Tapei 10 minuten voor plan. We kwamen bijna 3 keartier voor schema aan."
Nadelen: "Omdat Economy Comfort vol zat (een maand van te voren), een exit roe geboekt. Wel veel beenruimte, maar in de breedte echt te krap voor een vlucht van 12 uur."

Voordelen: "Much more civilised for the same cost (or less) as the budget carriers. Proper food and drinks included as is the norm with international flights even though it's a very short haul."
Nadelen: "The stinky guy behind me, but that's not the airline's fault."

Nadelen: "The flight was very delayed. We sat on the floor because there was not enough seating. We eventually had to squeeze into buses and drive around the tarmac to find a plane. We lost 5 bags in the process but eventually got them 2 days after arrival. the bags did not show up when we originally were told they would."

Voordelen: "- entertainment systen was OK (movies), but has no current news - food was good - windows can be darkened progressively"
Nadelen: "- Schiphol airport (AMS) is small, crowded, noisy; no water fountains; toilets are dirty and insufficient in number; SFO is much better - KLM boarding process was chaotic (not by group or row number), boarding/security personnel (4 old guys) didn't have a clue - 787 is noisy, chairs are uncomfortable (my back still hurts) and very close together, they also recline way too much - food trays not collected promptly - noisy babies on all flights - clearly not enough cabin crew for a full flight - no or wrong info by pilots on timing (crew are always lying anyway) - gate is all around the back at SFO (long taxi to get there) - they inserted people in wheelchairs during deboarding thus holding everybody up."

Voordelen: "Flight was on time, crew professional, food and drinks good and kept coming. I learnt Dutch on the in-flight entertainment system. I was in a good mood talking to another passenger about his new luggage system. This mood was kept and not taken away on the flight."
Nadelen: "Would be nice if there was wifi on board"

Voordelen: "Excellent crew made this flight very enjoyable. A lot of information during the flight about the route, arrival times and clear explanation of the departure delay. Very friendly and attentive."

Nadelen: "Claiming that the plane was completely full (which it wasn't), They forced just about everyone to check there carry ons. When we got on board, there was plenty of overhead space. Supposedly, we should've have been allowed a carryon and a personal item."

Voordelen: "The staff (ground staff and cabin) were friendly and helpful. Great to see them trying to help and going the extra mile for passengers."
Nadelen: "The boarding process. It is a crowded space at the gate, and the boarding ends up with long lines getting confused and in the way."

Voordelen: "I liked the food and duration of flight because it was pretty fast"
Nadelen: "I didnt like that flight was with delay and arline still didnt compensate anything to me or even didnt give me any benefits for future if I use their airline."

Voordelen: "The refurbishments of the 777 aircrafts has definately improved the experience. Passengers were given full liberty to the entertainment unit. The one thing that gives that niche to the flight experience are the crew - I must say I have had 8 flights in the past 6 weeks but the crew of this holland airlines have been great on all klm flights. Please keep up the good work - your attitude is everything!"

Actually, they could have waited for us for say 10 mins and we would have made it. But they didn't and we had to stay a night in Amsterdam, arriving in Rome the next morning."
