Nooit uit Amsterdam. Wie moet ik dan geloven? Ik toch maar wachten. Blijkt koffer toch van bagage band in Atlanta te komen. Als ik op Delta/KLM info had vertrouwd, was mijn koffer dus pleite geweest, want niet doorgezonden. Geplande tussenstop duur van 2 uur was volgens douane te weinig. Dat klopte. Haalde maar net vlucht Atlanta/Kingston."

Voordelen: "Some "perk" for Diamond status on Delta to get to a shorter security line, but customs and immigration was... customs and immigration."
Nadelen: "No available SkyTeam lounge unless you had a business class ticket. As a Diamond flier, I can always access the SkyTeam lounges. Audio for boarding was a little unclear so there was some confusion at boarding. For reasons unknown, my bag was moved from one overhead bin to another. Very frustrating since I board early to avoid this confusion and hassle."

So of course people cut right in front of me as I was about to scan my pass. What is the point of asking us to come up if they are just going to let people jump in front of me."

Voordelen: "My flight was delayed 40 minutes in Detroit after a 3 hour lay over we boarded the plane. Then 45 minutes into the flight they said the landing gear light came on and they would be going back to change plans. My mother with Lymes disease was waiting 3 hours in Providence supposed to arrive a 11:50 instead 2:50am we were so tired missed a day of vacation."

Nadelen: "Didn't stick to zones when boarding customers. Gate agent basically let anyone board during pre boarding and priority boarding, why even offer it if you aren't going to make people adhere to the rules."

All of this happened in white-out conditions, on the Sunday after Thanksgiving—the busiest travel day in history! They were AWESOME. And the gate agents took advantage of 3 people who didn’t show to let my family sit together, which I really appreciated."

End of flight huge queues at Dallas airport for security. After a long flight a passenger does not need to be corralled through excessively long winding lines."

Nadelen: "We understand that delays happen but due to a delay on American Airlines we have lost our luggage and it doesn't seem likely it will be returned. We had five pieces of luggage lost during our flight from the U.S. to Spain. When we arrived in Madrid we were told that all five pieces had been located. When we went to pick them up the next day there were only four pieces at the airport. We were told the fifth suitcase would be delivered when it was located. It's ten days later and there's no sign of the luggage. It has taken multiple phone calls to get the information about the luggage correct. They assure me that they have everything correctly documented and then when I call back they haven't changed a thing. It has been a very frustrating process overall."

Nadelen: "The pilot decided to add fuel and catering after all the passengers had boarded. We arrived in Chicago after a 4 hour delay and we couldn't find a gate for 20 minutes. Ridiculous!"
Nadelen: "I didn't get home til 1am bc of this flight delay. A lot of the passengers were on the final leg of overseas travel, so we had a really hard time with the delays. Boarding was inefficient. Cree counted us like 6 times. Why is that necessary? Plane was old and uncomfortable."

Nadelen: "We sat in Orlando waiting to take off - delayed for OVER 30 minutes because ---> the catering truck failed to show up. The captain aired his frustration of the catering crew. Supposed to arrive in Philly approximately 2:24pm - we didn't arrive until 3:03pm. Baggage took another 20-30 minutes. All American emoloyees looked tired. Not one smile either to Orlando or from Orlando. (Oh yeah - we were late taking off to start my vacation from Philly because a crew failed to arrive to "start the engines of the aircraft," per captain's announcement. The entire aircraft boarded and sat, again, for 30 minutes without any air conditioning or air flow in the cabin.) Blah experience. Blah employees. And two different captains announced the reasons for delay with an "annoyed tone.""

Nadelen: "Last row. They forgot to assign us seats and we almost didn't get one. We had to because we had a dog. They put the dog under the wrong reservation and were concerned they charged someone else for it. No concern for fact they forgot to get us seats. We were in last row center seats. Horrible. Then we were starving and willing to purchase food. By the time they got to us, they were out of food. What?!?! We were willing to pay! Rude personnel. Horrible all around. Hate America. United is better."

Nadelen: "Trop de délai itnutile. L'embarquement a été décalé de 5h! Le WIFI est payant à Chicago et la bouffe coûte chère pour de la mauvaise qualité. Le retard est du parce qu'il n'y avait pas d'avion, personne nous dit pourquoi. Finalement, on embarque et apres avoir attendu 30 min, on nous désembarque parce que l'Avion n'était pas prêt, l'équipe d'entretien n'était pas disponible! finalement, on rembarque pour de bon mais on a attendu un autre 30 min sans nous dire pourquoi. L'équipage fait comme si tout était normal mais on voit par la fenêtre qu'il y un camion de service qui essait de réparer de quoi derrière l'avion. On nous fait embarquer alors que rien n'est prêt. La personne qui s'occupait des baggages a pris 20 minutes apres notre embarquement avant de s'amener. C'était extrêment désorganisé."

Nadelen: "Seating is very tight even for a petite 5’1” person like me. My boyfriend was 5’8” and he was definitely uncomfortable with the lack of leg space. If the passengers in front of you decided to put their seats back? You’ve lost even more space and feel closed in. Thankfully the aisle seat next to us was empty so we tried to stretch out a little bit without spilling into the seat entirely. Entertainment was eh. Two movies from the early 2000s (Alvin & the Chipmunks and What happens in Vegas) and an episode of Tom & Jerry and an episode of Modern Family but from Season 5? Not great if you’ve never watched the series.. About their hospitality... My boyfriend and I were completely disregarded and ignored by a stewardess with blonde hair and thick black glasses... Flight: DE2102 that left September 8th from Frankfurt to San Juan. We received our meals from her AFTER she handed meals to the people behind us - this was not the case for other passengers that spoke German, everyone’s meals up until ours was handed in order.. When it was time to pick up the trays she skipped us both times (with our trays ready in our hands to hand to her) - I watched her pick up the trays from the passengers before and after us. My boyfriend did say “Excuse me” but she ignored him - she probably would’ve paid attention if he asked in German.. She even looked at us as she passed by which blew my mind. Her coworker on the other side had to pick up her slack and was very kind enough to pick up our trays even though we weren’t his assigned aisle. It confused me because she was so pleasant with the German passengers but ignored us even when we made eye contact and smile for her attention.. I hate to say this because I give everyone the benefit of the doubt but to be honest I felt discriminated.. My boyfriend is German (speaks fluent German and English) but I felt because of my ethnicity (Asian) he had to suffer for that.. I felt terrible that he was suffering because of me. No one wants that for their significant other or anyone. Another occasion was when another stewardess was handing us our drinks. My boyfriend’s cup was broken and as she passed it over me it spilled all over my shirt. I did gasp from surprise. No apologies whatsoever.. She seemed impatient and grabbed the cup back over only to put another cup under it. I asked for a Sprite but they only had Cola or Fanta so I was totally okay with Cola “Cola bitte”. My German isn’t that great but I did hear her coworker ask why I gasped and she told her that it was because I was surprised they didn’t have Sprite - very untrue. I was shocked and I couldn’t respond. I have never been so disappointed in a flight and the hospitality. I am very forgiving if an incident happens once or twice, but when I see it happen in front of me over and over and over again? That’s where my tolerance unfortunately crumbles. I was on the verge of tears by the end of the flight. I hope I never fly Condor again."

Voordelen: "The plane was clean and appeared well maintained. The crew was very polite and professional."
Nadelen: "It was a bit tight but, it’s a discount service so it was expected."
Nadelen: "Les films sont payants pour les clients économie. Ayant été rebookée sur ce vol depuis une compagnie aérienne où j'aurais dû avoir accès à du divertissement gratuit, je trouve ça moyen. Idem pour les boissons alcoolisées. Les hôtesses n'étaient pas du tout attentives ni avenantes. Je leur ai demandé s'il était possible de changer de siège après avoir dû laisser mon couloir à une personne avec des problèmes de mobilité. Elles m'ont d'abord dit qu'il n'y avait pas d'autres sièges disponibles en couloir. Le commandant annonce que l'embarquement est complet. Je redemande à une hôtesse car je vois plusieurs sièges de libres. Elle me dit "Je ne sais pas tant que l'embarquement n'est pas fini". Sans même ajouter "Je vais vérifier, je vous dis dans 2 minutes". Elles étaient limite désagréables. Mauvais service."

Voordelen: "The online entertainment has a nice variety of interesting shows, including documentaries. My seat was comfortable with good leg room, but only because I got lucky when I asked for an exit row seat while checking in. The regular economy seats are extremely narrow and uncomfortable with almost no leg room (and I am only average in heigh). Taller people sitting in regular aisle seats are hanging their legs out into the aisle throughout the flight because they have to for any kind of reasonable comfort."
Nadelen: "Somehow the airline should tell passengers that they are going to have to go through a(mother) strict security process before getting on the plane in Frankfurt to the U.S. We all stood in line for close to an hour in a very hot area of the airport to go through full-on security - water gets thrown out, shoes off, laptops out - the whole works, again. I had already gone through this kind of security in Vienna for the Vienna-Frankfurt leg of my trip. I had no idea this was going to be required and had planned to use my time in Frankfurt to relax and get something to eat. Instead it was spent standing in a surprise security line that moved extremely slowly. Not a fun way to spend the time before getting on an 11-hour flight. If they are going to require that security they should have many more lines available so that it moves at a reasonable pace."
Nadelen: "We were required to go through FIVE SECURITY SCREENING CHECKPOINTS while changing from flight from Athens to Munich on Lufthansa to the flight from Munich to Seattle on Condor airlines. - EACH LINE WAS SINGLE FILE AND SLOW... - SCREENERS WERE NOT IN SYNC WITH ONE ANOTHER... ONE SCREENER TELLING US TO DO ONE THING AND THEN OTHER SCREENERS REQUIRING US TO GO BACK TO THE END OF THE LINE FOR THEIR MISTAKE... THE FLIGHT THEN LEFT MORE THAN AN HOUR LATE... TERRIBLE MOVIE SELECTION WAS VERY POOR..."
Voordelen: "Just another average flight. Entertainment system worked. Friendly crew."
Nadelen: "There is no way to get comfortable in those seats when you are 1,90m 6ft3 Charge to watch movies. Some of them pretty racy especially if you have little kids close to you"
Nadelen: "The boarding process was beyond terrible. Enough that I will never fly with Condor again."

Voordelen: "This is a new service out of New Orleans which I found very convenient and efficient. Smooth flight and good, attentive crew."
Nadelen: "Communication regarding reservations and follow-up check-in was not very easy. Also at the airport when I stopped and asked a Condor employee for directions to locate my connecting flight, her initial response was curt --that she could not help me as she was in the process of boarding passengers -- although there was no one but her there. She then directed me elsewhere."
Voordelen: "The seats are wide enough so you don't feel cramped in economy, overall a decent budget flight experience. Sufficient overhead bin space."
Nadelen: "The food is absolutely awful and the space between your seat and the one in front is small so it's a tight transition to get into the chair. Seats weren't all that comfortable after a while. Only 2 movies unless you paid or were in premium. Left about an hour late."
Voordelen: "Fast service, tastee food"
Nadelen: "You need to pay for the tv and alcohol (wine), + few and little portion of food is served, if u wanna eat more, u can order, but only junk food is available. It was cold during the flight."
Voordelen: "Safety procedures were outlined very well with German audio and English caption. It was a clever video and clearly made its point with one go. Soft pillows and warm blankets were provided. Only one selection for food made things flow smoothly."
Nadelen: "Entertainment provided was too limited for an 8 hour flight in my opinion. Two movies, one of which was animated, was an extremely slim selection. Also, entertainment was interrupted for the first hour of the flight as the audio was cut for a lengthy German announcement that was repeated in English. I felt like time was wasted when the same safety video was shown with English audio and a German subtitle. If there was a way to cut the second showing or display it in a different way, it could make the flight experience more enjoyable. The advanced headrest style wasn't implemented in the economy class. The long flight would have been more forgiving on my back and neck if the headrests could be the trifold model found on most modern airplanes. One meal type may have limited people enjoying or even eating their main cuisine."
Voordelen: "Lufthansa experience was very good, all around. No problems, friendly staff, in flight smack. On a short flight...very pleasant experienxe. Staff were really great. Condor was a different experience. Boarding was unpleasant because specific rows were called to board after everyone had already lined up. It was very unclear where people from. Thyo stand, as no staff were guiding this process. Another passenger became very rude when he felt i stepped in front of him in the mess of a line. Have staff guide this process, or having clearly marked places to stand, would be helpful. It would be nice to have a little more leg room, food that wasn't extremely cold (like it was nearly frozen), & larger movie selection included."

Voordelen: "Nice they give you two meals. They aren't the best bit they are well rounded. Polite staff stsfd"
Nadelen: "Movie selection is small. Delta's has a huge one this is like 30 movies. They are 8 euro each outside of the 2 they give you to choose from. Wish you had more options especially on a 11 he flight"

Nadelen: "Seats were so crowded. I am only 5 9 1/2 feet tall, but my knees touched the seat in front of me! Also - why not provide more movies? Other international flights always provide more entertainment. Plus, one shouldn't have to pay to choose vegetarian food."
Nadelen: "boarding delayed by about an hour without announcements! then move to the bus boarding area for another 20 min wait. finally dleay of take-off due to maintenance issue which was announced."
Voordelen: "I had never heard of Condor before this trip and as a regular traveler to Europe I was a little nervous. But everything was a breeze! Boarding was super easy, The overhead compartments were spacious enough for my overpacked suitcase and I got a whole row to myself! Will definitely be flying Condor again."
Nadelen: "I did get my regular altitude sickness so actually having a vomit bag would have been nice."
Voordelen: "Despite being late coming into Seattle, the flight largely caught up and arrived only a few minutes late. Staff was courteous."
Nadelen: "Staff made no effort to check on kids after I asked specific info such as the Condor advertised child coloring pages or other seemingly little things for adults - but that would have made a big difference to children. I also paid for premium meals and was told there were none available - mind you I paid for them ahead of time. I also paid for premium entertainment, again the available features left much to be desired."
Nadelen: "we needed more leg room."
Voordelen: "Painless boarding, adequate albeit sometimes crowded lavatories."
Nadelen: "Very poor entertainment in economy without spending money on premium features. The last meal of the flight was served still frozen."

Nadelen: "Having used kayak many times, this was my first international flight and wildly disappointing as we were delayed multiple times and connection flight was messed with no more flights today."
Voordelen: "Airplane in great shape, new, very clean. I am only 5'5" so, it's hard for me to judge on leg space but for my size, I felt very comfortable in economy class. The German crew was very friendly and efficiant. I was able to change my seat in the pre boarding area which was much appreciated and uncomplicated. They also offered to check in additional carry on items for no cost. On board crew members were amazing, friendly, efficient, vet pleasant experience overall."
Nadelen: "Service (regarding food, snacks and entertainment) was average. I really missed on board Wifi and internet which is on e of my Top priorities for long international flights. I did not even have a chance to look at the entertainment offers, just listened to music from their library which appeared to be well sized. Food (dinner and breakfast) were average, definitely can't keep up oth other major airlines. There was no "chicken/meat or pasta" option, they only served pasta with marinera sauce for everyone in economy class which was so so....., however, I personally don't judge Airlines on their food, I could not care less and I am not looking for fancy food. Service quality, friendiyness of the crew, safety, airplane statue and reliability are my main points and I definitely think Condor scored great in those categories. I saw there was an option to preorder food choices / wishes prior to departure. I wish they used recyclable dishes (e.g. Like Lufthansa) to minimize trash."

Nadelen: "the gate for condor was in an isolated area of the airport, no restaurants, no shopping, inadequate restrooms and them stuck in a room with 2 vending machines for hours when flight was delayed"
Nadelen: "Boarding was late due to airport staff not being available. Not enough legroom to be comfortable on a long haul flight. Baggage was lost."
Nadelen: "terrible food, confusing what's included the service price, most of all Customer service agents at the gate very ruth and not helpfull, delayed-not given time frame why or when the boarding will start, feels like you don't care about your customers satisfactions at all. Never will fly again on Condor Ailines!"
Voordelen: "Straight through flights from west coast to europe"
Nadelen: "both the outgoing and return flights did not start boarding until after the flight was scheduled to leave. The gate leaving from Frankfurt had its own security line for just this gate, and then we were coralled in a small space waiting to board, and this little area was packed and really hot in comparison to the rest of the airport. Had to pay to choose a seat, as I didn't want them to stick me in a middle seat. also had to pay to get more than 2 movies, the card reader declined all 3 of my cards (they worked in the airport before boarding). I guess Im used to the fantastic service of Alaska airlines, where they are much more willing to give you free things on the plane, meals, drinks, especially if the card reader doesn't work. Luckily the gal next me had some cash to cover me. I also asked for a pen to fill out my custom papers, and a stewardess said no, she didn't have a pen and walked off. I would like to say I wouldn't fly them again, but they are cheap, and not having layovers is really nice"

Nadelen: "Seats too narrow and too close to row in front for a 10 hour flight. Should make it clearer on website that meals are included. Everything I saw suggested they cost €15 and had to be preordered or pay even more."
Voordelen: "One of the flight attendants treated me like a human."
Nadelen: "They over booked the flight and we were told we would have to miss our trip to Europe that we had planned for six months. They didn't communicate with us at all about what was happening until suddenly giving us two separated seats one minute before the cabin doors were shut. The flight attendants were disrespectful and demeaning to us, despite us having done nothing wrong. We ordered meals with dietary restrictions and those were ignored. In flight entertainment for the 10 hour flight was limited to two (old, terrible) movies and two TV shows. The seats were extremely uncomfortable and made it almost impossible to sleep. I will personally never fly Condor again and I would strongly suggest that you not either."
Voordelen: "Non-stop flight to my destination on time with friendly staff. They really paid attention to keep everyone hydrated on the long flight."
Nadelen: "Despite individual monitors at every seat, the offering of violent and sexual content is disturbing. Monitors can be seen from a few seats away, and I have witnessed children becoming rather disturbed at content "adults" are watching. I believe that real adults can survive an 8 hour flight without watching sex and violence."
Voordelen: "again very pleasant"
