As in Doha have different seating area for different zones and the ground crew should be trained to be firm to allow only passengers with boarding."

Voordelen: "The employees were as good as they could be, given the atrocious handling of the situation by American Airlines and its policies."
Nadelen: "We were 1.5 hours late leaving for an unknown reason (not weather). Then, it appeared that we didn't try and make up the lost time in the air (we also landed 1.5 hours late.) This caused a significant proportion of the passengers to miss their connecting flights. American didn't do anything to help other than offer a "discount" of about $10 off of over $100/night hotel rooms in the Philadelphia area to sleep overnight in Philadelphia. This was absolutely lousy customer service by American, and will definitely make me avoid American Airlines in the future."

Nadelen: "AC was broke took long time to get ac on we all sweat to death on the plan as it was broke and portable starter didn't work so they had to get a 2nd one. Then stewart on plan says American just doesn't have good maintenance on there equipment that is a red flag for sure."

Nadelen: "Denver airport was a nightmare with my disabled father. We were given a “wheelchair” but no escort through a nightmarish security scene. Airport is terribly designed, lacking clear signage and navigation. TSA was a disaster and no one seemed remotely concerned about my father’s comfort or needs."

Nadelen: "The lack of overhead storage was not noted at the gate so about half the passengers had to have their hand luggage tagged on the plane itself, involving wheeling to the back to be tagged. Then once everyone was seated, the attendant wheeled them by and passengers had to call out when they saw their bag go by so that they could be issued the corresponding luggage claim ticket. The seat width and pitch was sad compared to 'low cost' airlines like JetBlue."
Voordelen: "The flight attendant was one of the best that we have ever had on this flight. Since we were a late afternoon flight out of O'Hare we did had a departure delay. But the flight attendant served us drinks and snacks while on the ground. And after we took off he came around again and offered us more drinks and snacks. As we departed the plane he even offered us snacks to take with us."

Passengers were expected to load their bags on a large cart while airline workers stood by watching them struggle, including the elderly. I was very disappointed and embarrassed for this airline. Customer service is definitely not a priority!"
Nadelen: "The in-flight entertainment was out, and the a/c was barely working-not good for a four hour flight. Instead of addressing the issues the flight crew was more interested in chatting with each other. No pre-flight drink service in first class, they rarely even passed through the canin."

Nadelen: "Left 3.5 hours late. Promised a connection the following morning and a hotel. Arrived at SFO only to be told that they would not pay for the hotel (or make arrangements) as the delay was weather related (since when is trying to leave BEFORE a typhoon hits and being LATE a weather related issue). They gave me the option of after a 13 hour flight at 11:30pm walking over to find AA staff in another terminal to argue for payment. I was too tired. After 1 million miles on AA I will avoid them now."

Nadelen: "I was charged $55.00 to book early and choose seats. I agreed because I wanted to be sure to sit with my husband and have a view. Iberia changed my seats without my knowledge, and denied charging me extra. I have papers to prove my claim and will dispute the charges with my credit card company. Directions to our connecting flight in the airport by Iberia staff was confusing and they were extremely rude. We asked 3 different times! We were in danger of missing our connecting flight. Iberia is the worst airlines I have ever experienced, and I will never purchase a flight on Iberia again! Lesson learned!"

Nadelen: "Iberia was unable to ticket us all the way through to our final destination when we checked-in at our origin (Faro). We then had to go through an arduous process to get handwritten boarding passes in Madrid. This put us at the end of the line for boarding. Then the gate agent refused to let us board because the boarding passes Iberia customer service wrote and stamped didn’t have ticket # on ithem. The gate agent made it clear that it was all on me to go back to the agent at customer service to get it addressed and make it back in-time. The other passenger was my 80 year old mother who a I had to leave unaccompanied at the gate so i’d have some chance of running across the terminal and making it back in-time, which fortunately I did. The complete lack of interest in helping or even acknowledging that this was their mistake is the reason why I will never fly Iberia again."

You have to go to the airport to recover the baggage. I would NOT RECOMMEND this airline to anyone. The plane was quite old and there are no screens on the seats. One of my worst experiences flying in the last 40 years."

Voordelen: "It was very slow beginning with taxing to the airport and then disembarking. We stood for a very long time before the door opened. Probably the delay getting to a stop when in the taxi mode was due to the airport crowdedness and not the airlines fault."
