I enjoyed the flexibility of the seats; the quality of the cutlery, duvet, headphones and the matteress provided. The ICE is a brilliant entertainment system; giving an array of films to watch and games to play. The cabin crew were polite, friendly and helpful, and gave an excellent service as one would expect from travelling business."
Nadelen: "The interior of the 777-300 was outdated, especially knowing that 777's have gone through an interior overhaul, so I was unfortunate to not be on of those refurbished planes. The food and the Virgin Mojito was not the best as I did expect it to better considering this was a business class. And the ICE tablet and its remote is not the most userfriendly nor responsive to use, as it does get a bit fiddly."

Nadelen: "Comparing this flight on Emirates airlines which is from Bahrain going to spain with the previous flight on Emirates airlines as well but was going from Bahrain to Dubai there is a huge difference starting from Time professionalism and crew treatment and captain experience on making the flight comfortable the level of everything changes my flight to Spain was very comfortable and quite and the food was delicious the crew was very helpful and polite the captain is very professional and he made us feel very comfortable in this flight smooth take of and landing."

Nadelen: "I bought a return from Emirates with the returning flight from Australia to London as a code share with Qantas. Qantas does not honour the e-ticekts from Emirates and will NOT allow you to preselect seats online. You have to hope for a good seat at airport checkin. Too bad, as I would have been prepared to pay extra for a seat upgrade."

Nadelen: "luggage did not make connecting flight from dubai to jfk, inspite of pilot telling us 1 hour or so delay was waiting for luggage. at jfk was told can get same night if want to. this proved futile . spent hours at JFk waiting and talking to Emirates. spoke with multiple agents including Luz, sarah, etc. finally around 12 midnight was told customs would not release till next day. but promised to get it to us by 12noon next day (flying to wyoming next day at 330 pm) . this did not happen. again multiple phone calls and promises , failed. Kiamaria even got text of address in WY where 2 suitcases should have gone. All 4 suitcases were sent to NJ and arrived at 9pm. more phone calls. this time Rachel helped with fedex labels unfortunately more problems as fedex said no barcode and we had to go to fedex office and finally they took care of it so many hours wasted, not to mention the anxiety and frustratioon How are you going to reimburse all this ????"

Nadelen: "The time between flights was so little and with a big airport, literally had to run from one end to the other"

The aircraft were dirty and did not clean. under the seat trash, passenger food table was dirty, I had to ask crew member for napkin to clean. I would not recommend any one to take emirates. certainly i would not fly emirates again."

Nadelen: "Emirates has applied EasyJet seat ramming techniques to its A380 business Class product. As a result even the spacious upper deck of an A380 feels cramped. The seat width in business Class is the same as economy so lying on your side to sleep is an impossibility for all but the diminutive or children. It’s hard to justify 4-5 times the economy fare to sit in such cramped ‘pile em high, sell em cheap’ seats. Breakfast served just before landing at LGW was honestly the most revolting meal I’ve ever been served onboard an aircraft, and I’ve flown Monarch. Less scrambled egg than puréed egg slops with gristly undercooked chicken sausages. Ryanair would blush at serving up such lousy fare. Emirates are paring back the ‘overheads’ in business Class and its starting to show. Cheapening the product (in every sense) might work for some but if I’m going to stump up thousands I think I’ll choose an airline that treats me less like self loading cargo in future."

Although I normally order the low cholesterol meal I asked the attendant to provide with its contents before serving so that I could decide whether to choose from the menu. Twenty minutes later the low cholesterol plate was served and not once was I offered the opportunity to make a selection of my own choosing."

Nadelen: "This seemed far different from emirate flights that I'm used to. Over the years their service has decreased but the 1 meal and sub-par snack I got for an 8.5hr flight was poor, likened to a budget airline. This is the second flight recently I've been on that the drinks come so long after the meal you don't even get to enjoy your cola with the meal. The first food cart should have colas if there won't be another cart to come along until 30+ minutes later. I also expected Emirates to provide an eye patch, an 8 hr+ flight in the night time hours in worthy of an eyepatch. Budget airlines do not provide this, but I expected Emirates to. Lastly, I don't think it's necessary to hand out a menu indicating there is something to look forward to when the food is of quite poor standards for Emirates, standard for all other airlines. Maybe the Durban to Dubai route stocks he flights with less experienced crew, this is the impression I got; a much less refined group of people on the plane."

Voordelen: "The A380 equipment is beautiful and spacious even in coach. The changing ambient lighting added to a great positive experience. Food and service was excellent. The entertainment system and seat amenities are top notch - large screen, great selections, power sources, remote control (cabled). I was so impressed I planned to join their frequent flyer program (*** but see review of second leg - Dubai to Manila *** )."

Discriminating against musicians - rude to women. Very poor experience. I did not even get a receipt for my extra baggage for which I paid 50 usd."

Voordelen: "Staff is very attentive and always around. I am not a fan of instant coffee, but I got a cup of coffee when I asked for one outside of "meal times". The leg room is good, though I could still use a little extra."
Nadelen: "I wish the crew asked all passengers to reset their seat upright when food is served. I am quite tall and having the person in front of me recline is uncomfortable at all times, but while eating, there just isn't very much elbow room. Also the temperature in the cabin is really too cold. The entertainment system uses a two-prong plug for the headset, which requires you to bring an adapter if you want to use your own noise-blocking headset or headphones."
Voordelen: "The check in was good. The flight was good and the hosts were ok."
Nadelen: "The quality of food overall on Emirates has gone down. The food doesn't taste as fresh as it used to and it is a bit dry. I used to enjoy the little dried bread bits with the sweet and sour sauce- that has since been discontinued. We were also promised a festive meal on our flight from JNB to Hong Kong on Christmas day but got a regular meal- very disappointing"
Voordelen: "Overall it's a good airline. Economy is fairly comfortable, great entertainment options, decent food, and the staff is exceptional."
Nadelen: "Emirates baggage on board policy is a bit strict compared to most of the other Asian and American flights I've been on. Usually I'm allowed a regular carry-on and a personal item (i.e., a small backpack), but Emirates was very strict on the personal items. Personal items are limited to only Business and First Class passengers. Also, they were extremely strict about the size of my carry-on. As someone who has been on 20+ flights in this year alone, few of them being budget airlines (which are generally very strict), I had no issues whatsoever with the size of my carry-on until I flew with Emirates."

I stressed and ran through the airport after clearing security for no reason if I had know the departure was delayed."

They start boarding but do not open the doors of the plane so everybody has to wait long in the tunnel to access the plane. It would be better not to start boarding."

This caused me & my boyfriend to miss a ferry we were scheduled to take in Krabi. We lost almost an entire day of our trip because of this."

Nadelen: "The boarding in Singapore- Finnair are seemingly punished by being gated at the furthest end of the walkway. The security is slow due to the two single lines of screening, even though we are all in transit or have already been through checks elsewhere"

Nadelen: "Finnair had the worst leg room I've ever had in 50 years of traveling. It was so TIGHT that my knees were pressing up agains the seat in front of me the whole 8 hours of flight, even though I am only 5'7"! I felt really sorry for those passengers who were taller. Finnair also lost my checked in bag and delivered it 36 hours later without providing any compensation. Coming back the flight was delayed due to mechanical reasons, which caused a number of passengers miss connecting flights. This is one of the things that can happen to any airline, but only Finnair failed to provide an agent to take care of the passengers who missed their flights. So, after a 2 hour delay and 7 hours of traveling in the air, the stranded passengers had to find an agent in JFK who would rebook their flights. One of the worst traveling experiences. Will never travel Finnair again!"

The food was quite bland. The entertainment was much more limited than most international flight lines."

Boarding was a bit of a mess as they did not let families board first and were not very accomodative of families with small children, though I had a 9 year old, but there was a family with two very small children and they were not very helpful to them."

Nadelen: "The boarding control in JFK, Terminal 8 is extremely slow. It had taken about 2 hours to get in. Arrgh!"
Voordelen: "World best airline since my last flight to Hong Kong. New aircraft with the most confortable and complete flight experience I had in years in economy class. Seat confort, movie selection and quality of the screen, food quality, boarding speed, cabine pressure, all was immaculate."
Nadelen: "They promised an upgrade to premium economy and then they didn't follow through, they lied when they said that row 30 was premium economy, all this felt very very weird. Jacqueline the flight attendant recognised the problem and gave us premium headphones to make up for the error."
Voordelen: "Very simple but reliable and confortable flight. We got clear instructions to get to the next terminal"
Nadelen: "We took off late and arrived even later so we had to run to get to the next plane"

Nadelen: "I didn't like the fact that it was delayed, with weather being in good condition"
Voordelen: "This was a very good and on time flight from London to Helsinki. The exit row had lots of legroom."
Voordelen: "Great crew, very helpful and kind. Helped me stow my banjo in a closet instead of under the plane wich really was great because of its value to me...great food and entertainment options made the trip fly by...hah....kinda freaked out by the whole black glove thing but maybe it's sexy, not sure."
Nadelen: "The weird on board shopping thing."
Voordelen: "There was plenty of room and the food was good."
Nadelen: "Can't think of anything I didn't like"
Voordelen: "Sorry I like the price ...."
Nadelen: "There was no food the stewadress we're not so kind the did not give a over only after begging them and I do not like the flight time. I like the save try very much and this is important"
Voordelen: "I liked everything. Pleasant flight."
Nadelen: "Not that I didn't like, only some comments: Flight was 40 min late at arrival due to delayed start from JFK, the plane had to wait on runway before take-off. Not a problem for me as HEL was my final destination."
Voordelen: "The flight came on time and arrived in Chicago on time. The crew were friendly."
Nadelen: "The sound was out on my chair, so there was no sound to the movies. The food was really kind of junky and I decided against eating most of it so I wouldn't make myself sick. The meals could really do with more produce and a few more vegan options."
Voordelen: "Crew was fine"
Nadelen: "Our luggage never made it to Rome, our final destination. So now we have no change of clothes - for the next 2-3 DAYS."
Voordelen: "Boarded, departed on time arrived early. Food was good snd served timely. Attendents were very friendly"
Nadelen: "I had a seat on an aisle, which was good. But, the TV / video screen did not work. Luckily there wasn't a passenger next to me, and I used that screen. I told the steward, but never got help with the screen. I had to " Lean " for the 9 hours. The bathrooms became gross after 5 hours. I don't need to explain."
Nadelen: "Entertainment services weren't functional for the first 2 hours of the flight"

Nadelen: "had to be bussed to different part of airport to board plane no sound on the entertainment console"
Nadelen: "nobody from justfly and kayak even tried to argued that I didn't missed the flight and I was one of hundreds that was in line way before flight time"

Voordelen: "For economy it felt roomier than other flights I have taken recently. Enjoyed the food the movies and the cabin staff."
Voordelen: "Flight was not super crowded. Crew were lovely."
Nadelen: "No seat back entertainment...had to endure The Charlie Brown movie, Nelson Mandela biopic and lousy boxing movie. Seats extremely small...would have been awful if plane was at full capacity. Plane very dated...no frills"
Voordelen: "It was a pleasant flight, easy boarding, crew friendly."

Nadelen: "Loading was like a cattle car. Drinks were slow to be offered. No drinks until after food was served more than one hour into the flight. No one ever seemed to check if I needed anything. When I did, there was no call-button. Seats were from the 90's and VERY narrow. I would NEVER pay for First/Business class on Finnair again. It was very poor."
