They wanted me to pay for my seat after already spending 1100. Then they said I was randomly selected for a TSA check in Zurich. Seriously. And there was no TSA agent in sight doing the check. It was a Swiss Airline Employee. Never had that happen even in the USA."

Nadelen: "HAving to walk across the Zurich airport to buy a business class upgrade was bad. I just wanted to buy the upgrade at the desk. No need to go from terminal 3 to terminal 1. total waste of 20-30 minutes. Ironic that this happens to people willing to spend $'s of dollars for convenience and comfort. should be able to purchase upgrade ASAP with a smile at check-in."

Voordelen: "Over all I enjoyed flying with Swiss over the past 40 years. This was a first time my experience was not to my expectation."

Voordelen: "It was an uneventful trip, which is what you want in a trip by air. Boarding was easy, seats are pretty comfortable, staff friendly and helpful."

My husband asked for more heat and the stewardess said she would turn it up, but nothing happened. Cold air blew out of the ceiling vents for the entire flight. When we reached our gate, we then waited in a long line to have our passports and boarding passes checked again. There were several Swissair crew members, but only one person to check all of the paperwork for economy. Then another long line to show our boarding passes again, while the business class entrance remained unused. Swissair needs someone to manage this better."

Voordelen: "the entertainment system was perfect, there were lots of movies and shows to entertain you, including newly release films. there were games and music also availble. the seating was comfortable we had blankets and pillows. The beverage service great and the food was good to. although there could have been better options in terms of the dessert ( ice cream taht was provided)"
Nadelen: "the boarding was poor, we waited in line to board and they did not announce to us that we need to have our ticket stamped before we got to the door, as a result we were sent out of line once the ticket was stamped we had to rejoin the line from the back. When i got through they then said something was wrong with my ticket in which they took it and I was pulled out of the line. they should try to the ticket check and the boarding line at the same time"

Nadelen: "I wish the dinner service flying from JFK to ZH could be made sooner in the trip to allow more lights out time to relax and try to sleep. I wish all the movies had subtitles so I could read rather than have to deal with the head phones and the bad quality sound they produce."

Voordelen: "The Germans are known for their efficiency and Lufthansa followed through with that. From the check-in process to cabin service, all was top notch. As I was sitting near the front of economy, any "extra" economy plus meals were handed out as to avoid waste. I was the recipient of a delicious Caprese salad. A nice treat."

Nadelen: "Notoriously, on several flights I have recently taken, my economy seats do not recline at all. On long distance flights this is very uncomfortable! And on this flight from Frankfurt to NYC, my bag was lost, making a claim at the Lufthansa baggage dept took a very long time and the clerk said little, explained nothing and seemed annoyed with my questions."

Nadelen: "We booked these flights expecting Lufthansa. Little disappointed to learn they were Brussels airlines. Inflight entertainment options and meal options don't seem to be as good. Flight crew was pleasant and fine. After learning it was Brussels airlines I went through their check-in process for families and requested kid-friendly meals, but nothing came of it. Slightly disappointed."

I AM OUT SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS BECAUSE I HAD TO PURCHASE A TICKET UPGRADE TO GET HOME. RIDICULOUS. I MIGHT SUE."

Nadelen: "I booked through Kiwi.com and they couldn't handle my special food request (kosher meal). Somehow it didn't reach Lufthanza at all. As a result I had nothing to eat during the entire transatlantic flight."

Voordelen: "The seats were very comfortable -- the plane wasn't very full, so there was room to spread out for some folks. As a vegetarian, the lunch meal was EXCELLENT, thank you. There was a second snack given just before landing that was basically roasted peppers on bread that was not good -- so you know, many vegetarians actually have sensitivity against peppers, so perhaps another vegetable or option would be better there. Crew was very affable and helpful."
Nadelen: "See point before re: second snack. Our flight was delayed for two hours, presumably due to snow in Oslo. The boarding area was disorganized -- something I remember from flying through Norway a few years ago as well. I also didn't quite understand why I received priority boarding, as a United gold member on my outbound fight, but not on my return. So the inconsistency was a bit confusing/frustrating. But the flight overall was smooth, and the accommodations quite good."

Nadelen: "The crew passed by me TWICE while serving food and I was not sleeping at that time. I had to go and ask for food myself. Also there was a delay about 40 minutes when taking off in CPH (CPH-EWR) because of a fuel-screen malfunction or smth. The pilot was very nice and kept us informed all the time. I still didn't make my connection flight due to the delay and SAS rebooked me which made my already long trip 8 hrs longer."

Voordelen: "Le personnel de bord a été très agréable et professionnel. L'embarquement à Stockholm est très bien fait et il n'y a pas de perte de temps."
Nadelen: "Par contre, c'est une seule boisson par personne le reste est payant, les repas sont très moyens et le système de divertissement est très très mauvais. Les contenus sont vieux et l'application est très lente et pa réactive du tout."

Voordelen: "It was100 % flawless and I recommend the SAS airline to all. The airline staff is great and the food is good."
Nadelen: "As previously stated, I think the airline should do a better job in answering phone calls. If they do answer the phone (1-800-221-2350), they either put you on hold for a whole day or, if you leave your phone no. and name to have them call you back, they never do . I am not the only person who has this experience. It is too bad because if this continues, the airline will loose business and I would hate to see that. However, I still will use KAYAK"

Had we had earlier notice, I would have had time to hit the book store. Since the flight was delayed an hour, they had plenty of time to notify us earlier than just before boarding. An 8.5 hour flight without entertainment made the experience unpleasant."

Voordelen: "Temperatures was good not very hot. Has a handicapped bathroom."
Nadelen: "Cabin light was only slightly dimmed during the 8 hrs flight. Then instead of gradually brighten the light. They just flip the switch to full blast. I think they are trying to sell you more duty free than letting their customers rest. Not ok!"

Voordelen: "Well this was a first for me. The flight was overbooked and some one wanted to go to New York. Finn Air asked me if I would give up my seat they would get me on the next Finn Air flight to Chicago. I did and they even up graded me to business class on the next flight. It was the best flight experience of my life. Great food, hosts, and service. It was very comfortable the entire way."

Nadelen: "Whoever designed and built this airplane should literally be INDICTED - AND I AM NOT KIDDING! We were in disbelief the moment we boarded and saw the airplane. 10 people across jammed into the row??!! - and on an long international flight?? - are you kidding??!! Further, these were the SMALLEST seats I have EVER been forced to sit in. Neither I, or my friend came close to fitting. We literally had to alternate getting up and standing because we were literally overlapping each other when we sat! (His shoulder and arm were literally on top of me!!). It was so bad that when the stewardess came rolling down the aisle with her cart, I had to be aware and see her in advance so I could literally TURN MY BODY OVER TO THE LEFT HALF ON TOP OF THE PERSON SITTING NEXT TO ME SO SHE WOULDN'T TAKE OFF MY ARM AND SHOULDER. ULTIMATELY, SOMEONE, OR MORE THAN ONE PERSON, IS GOING TO GET SERIOUSLY HURT BY THIS RECKLESS, GREED-DRIVEN DESIGN!! The OVERT GREED by the airline (American) clearly reflected by this in trying to JAM as many human beings into a flight as possible like Sardines is DISGUSTING!!! You simply DO NOT TREAT HUMAN BEINGS THIS WAY!! It is also clear evidence that there needs to be tighter standards, regulations and penalties by the FAA and what is allowed by airlines. AND I AM SENDING A LETTER TO THE FAA!!!"

Voordelen: "Not bad as cross-ocean flights go, but cramped. The seats (and the available room per person) are what would be considered normal nowadays, but I remember flying thirty years ago. The crew was very pleasant and snacks were served (and appreciated), but didn't make up for the cramped conditions."

Voordelen: "The meeting I was attending in NY got postponed so I lost the full 1/2 return ticket. Nothing I could do, all at once all kinds of small text appear in big and over 400 $ was lost. This is the last time I book with Kayak. Better pay a bit more directly with the airline but do not have a deal like the Kayak deal. So please remove from all your sites. Thank you VV"

Nadelen: "Terribly uncomfortable seats, very dated entertainment options, bland food."

Voordelen: "Friendly crew and clean plane. I liked the ipads and the drinks. It was pretty quick and easy."
Nadelen: "Terrible turbulence the entire way and as it was a smaller plane you could feel it for most of the flight. The food was also not very good..."

Voordelen: "For the first time ever I had a flight on British Airways where I did not feel like I wanted to choke somebody at the end of the flight - so I was pleasantly surprised at this particular BA flight."
Nadelen: "BA gates in NYC are abysmal - the entire terminal is... Why are the restaurants advertising being open to some specific time (well prior to the departure of this flight) yet then have staff holler at you that they are closed when you try to go in well before that time. It would have been very nice to have been able to sit down and have some dinner prior to the flight, but the rudeness of both of the two restaurants and their staff was worthy of the notoriety of NYC attitudes (which I don't generally see in mainstream NYC society)."

Voordelen: "Flights were on BA not Finnair"
Nadelen: "Ba website did not work properly."

Nadelen: "My Finnair flight from London to New York was cancelled due to weather conditions in New York. I understand that. What made me very frustrated and angry is that when I contacted Finnair to reschedule the flight I was told the flight was managed by British Airways and I would have to contact them When I contacted British Airways they said it was a Finnair flight and I had to contact them. I finally had no recourse but to buy another ticket through another airline. I feel that I should be reimbursed for my Finnair ticket from London to New York! I paid for a flight I never took. (The Finnair flight from New York to London was fine.)"

Voordelen: "courteous and helpful crew, easy calm and efficient boarding process, with a announcer who spoke CLEARLY, slowly and loud enough to hear, more comfortable plane than the AA plane I took to get to Paris."
Nadelen: "In flight entertainment really inferior to other airlines, food mediocre, but adequate. But good service is paramount and your crew was good despite many challenging customers."

Voordelen: "Great crew. Lots of refreshments."

Voordelen: "The staff was very kind."
Nadelen: "If I'm paying for a trans-atlantic flight (at a fee of $1,000), I shouldn't be stuck on a plane that is used for domestic flights,and thus does not have the space nor the comfort of a larger plane. And, if this flight is not going to offer the amenities accustomed to a typical trans-atlantic flight (such as in-seat TV), then the price should be substantially cheaper. I will be complaining to the airline itself for this, and may not fly this airline again."

Nadelen: "The airline made people unnecessarily nervous by posting a very early boarding time so people thought they had to jump in line in customs when, in fact, we all had the same departure times and all had plenty of time."

Voordelen: "US Customs and Immigration pre-clearance in Dublin allowed me to avoid filling out a landing card and dealing with long immigration lines at JFK. Very good selection of films and TV shows via on board entertainment system. Food decent."
Nadelen: "Selection of amenities at Dublin Airport in the US pre-clearance area is poor."

Voordelen: "Aer Lingus flight was great - comfortable seats, good entertainment options with movies an music and good food!"

Nadelen: "After attempting to check in at the baggage machine, we were told we had to go through the check in line. Then after waiting 60 minutes in line at the Aer Lingus counter we were told we were 15 minutes past the boarding closing time. So even though we were still an hour before our flight we couldn't get a boarding pass to get on the plane. We then had to pay $150 x 3 to get on the same flight the next day. We will never fly Aer Lingus again and will never fly through Dublin again."

Nadelen: "The lines to get on the plane were insane. We waited for over an hour to check our bags because the kiosks weren’t working. Our luggage gate closed at 1115 and they waited until 1130 to call us out of the line because it was last call. Then they proceeded to tell us that our luggage may not make it because we didn’t push people out of the way and throw down grandmas? Unorganized."

Nadelen: "The airline features an upgrade yourself bid option that starts at a minimum bid. We went above this and got rejected, only to find there were still open seats. They tried to then upsell is at 4x the cost which makes the entire thing seem terribly dishonest. After calling customer service, they hung up on me. It’s clearly a scam to extract more pricing data from customers."

Voordelen: "Entertainment was OK. Ground and air crew were understanding and professional."
Nadelen: "Plane was more than one hour and a half late boarding. During that wait, did not provide any information on expected length of delay. After landing, baggage kept rolling off plane for more than one hour, and my bag didn't arrive. At least three other passengers were in same situation - waited more than one hour for bag, and it didn't arrive after all."

Voordelen: "I loved that the trip was relatively short and uneventful. The food was adequate, but nothing to brag about and very little. The hostesses were nice,better than last time. The price was right on, mostly for a trip of under 15 hours...when usually it is 20h with a stopover."
Nadelen: "On the way over, I couldnt get water. The trolley didn't come by, and I had to "leg-over" my sleeping neighbor to get a glass of water fo the back reserve. The TV wasn't working; the remote was dead. As it was a night flight, it didn't matter tt much for me, but it should've been working. The passengers could have been spread out better as there were completely empty middle rows. It would have helped with comfort."

Voordelen: "Everything"

Voordelen: "Excellent service from counter in both Newark and Dublin. Cabin crew was very attentive and complimentary food and beverage was just great!"

Nadelen: "The staff was rude, only came through with drinks once on a 7-hour flight! And they were rude about everything."

Nadelen: "Pas de note pour le divertissement ou les repas car pour les 1er il n y en a pas et pour les second je n ai rien prix ."

Nadelen: "The entertainment system wasn't great. The earphones quality was quite bad and felt really uncomfortable. Unfortunately, AerLingus still has that double pronged plugs and I wasn't able to use my personal set (actually, I could but sound would only work on one side). I'll definitely fly with them again, only next time I'll bring an attachment for me to be able to use my headphones."

Nadelen: "I asked the person checking and tagging the bags in Budapest to make sure they came off in Dublin for 24 ht overnight layover - I told him twice and he nodded agreement and then tagged them WRONG!!!!"

Nadelen: "There were absolutely no vegetarian meals. All flights should at least have a few extra just in case someone needs some. After I refused the meal, I didn't even get water or anything. I was given a nauseating wrap with tea towards the end of the flight. I'm not even sure how that was expected to be edible. Unbelievable, I will not be flying Aer Lingus again."

Voordelen: "Truly lovely employees at every step of the trip Tasty food!"

Voordelen: "in flight entertainment was diverse and kept me occupied. the food was quite good, and free since it was a transatlantic flight. smooth flight and pleasant crew"
Nadelen: "Boarding is very haphazard and disorganized. Somewhat the airlines responsibility since they could keep it more controlled by enforcing what tows they will allow to pass. I couldn't do an online checkin with any of my Aer Lingus flights. As a result, my partner and I had seats far from each other and at the back of the plane."

Voordelen: "I liked the level of concern the crew had for making sure we didn't miss our flights after severe delays in Amsterdam."
Nadelen: "I didn't like the security process. It was redundant and not well thought out."

Voordelen: "From Brussels to Dublin, we had a good flight. The air hostess was attentive enough and the cabin comfort was excellent."
Nadelen: "That we can't even have a cup of coffee without having to pay 3 euros. I thought that was outrageous."

Voordelen: "Entertainment was a good distraction. Would have been nice to have different choices in each direction. Also easy to understand announcements in the terminal as opposed to in Newark."
Nadelen: "Tickets were a bit pricey. The offer to upgrade was tempting but the smallest amount that could be offered was more than I was willing to pay. Your offer should say "make us an offer over $200."
