I tried a month later but the problem was not solved. They foward any problems and inquiries to reservation center but calling the number won't find anyone to talk. Always they put me on hold for hours and never reached anyone. I have food allergy and tried to request for special meals but the option was not there under my eticket number as described in their website. They say the option may not be available because I purchased my ticket from 3rd party, not from JAL or it was code share flight. Very inconvenient. I had to skip 2 meals out of 3in leaving for Japan. I got very hungry at the end of the flight...."

The seat was comfortable, the entertainment options varied and extensive and the cabin team were amazing. They clean the bathrooms between uses. Seriously how do other airlines still exist?"

Nadelen: "Entertainment system is rather tired for today’s standard for first tier airlines, in particular the headphone jacks which may not work from wear & tear. It’s a hit & miss whether the sound works or not. Obviously mine didn’t on one side this time. Very frustrating if you are on a long flight and there’s nothing you can do if the flight is full."
Voordelen: "To be honest I had a pretty bad flight because my allergies exploded during the entire flight - constant sneezing, runny nose, you name it. However, the attentiveness of the crew really made up for it. The cabin was decorated with tiny wreathes (so cute!), and the pillow/blanket was very comfortable/warm for an Economy seat. Although I did not use it as much, the entertainment seemed top-notch. And the crew-- they noticed that I was not feeling well, and offered me peppermint tea and snacks that did sooth things a bit (you can request for snack/beverage refills anytime!). I loved that they gave out black socks to the passengers too (I prefer taking my shoes off during the flight, so the socks added warmth & prevented my own socks from getting dirty). All in all, it was one of the best-serviced long flights I had, not to mention probably the most affordable price I paid for my annual trip to Korea (from LA)."

With two crying babies on the plane, I was trying to relax and sleep as much as possible on the 12.5 hr flight. What bothered me even more is that when the woman asked the flight attendant to tell me to put my seat up, the flight attendant complied instead of telling the woman it was my seat to do as I wished. Why make the seats recline if they are going to bother the people behind? Why tell me to put my seat up if it was not a requirement for all (ie during take off or landing)? I did not appreciate this and it made my flight extremely uncomfortable."

Nadelen: "Bought the ticket from internet after paying found baggage allowance only 20kg tried to contact airline additional 10 kg luggage price was more than the price of ticket. Seating was awfully I am 6'3" did not fit in middle seat requested several times for isle seat my legs were sticking out each time I have to get up to let pass the passengers and staff safety hazard. Have to pay additional 70 pounds sterling for under 3kg."
Voordelen: "A footrest would make the flight perfect."
Nadelen: "No footrest. Legs got tired. Felt like lifting them up."

Voordelen: "I have been traveling with Emirates (and only Emirates) for several years. On board crew and food were excellent."
Nadelen: "Since the air craft was new WIFI was not yet available."

Nadelen: "Crew was surly, never smiled. They all seemed very tired and intolerant of customers. Service was minimal. Food was tasteless and salty. Water was offered only once on a 14 hour flight. Aircraft was very cramped- no room to walk in the aisle without hitting the aisle seats. Overhead compartments were crammed full and it was very difficult to find space for a small bag."
Voordelen: "Travelled economy and it was very good. Would love to try business class sometime. Staff excellent food very good."

Nadelen: "We vertrokken met vertraging. We konden maar net op tijd het boarden van de volgende vlucht halen."

Voordelen: "Staff was very nice and calming, especially during heavy turbulence. Food was pretty good. Pizza was delicious. Seats we're comfy, plane was extremely clean. Love the ceiling "stars" Best airline i've ever flown with."
Nadelen: "In my flight from Milan (MXP) to New York (JFK), I had a seat on 63C (aisle seat). A woman seating on my sided asked me to change my seat with her son who was on 74F (middle seat). I said no, because it would be a seat several rows back an in the middle. I had paid more to have the aisle seat, so it did not make any sense to change to a middle seat. However, some minutes later, an Emirates employee asked me again if I could change the seats. He created such an awkward situation, that it was impossible to do not change to the other seat. I tried to argument that he was giving me no other option, but to accept the change. In summary, I had a good seat due to the higher fee that I had paid, but I was transferred to the back in a middle seat. I thought Emirates was a serious company. As I told their employee, I do not plain to fly with them anymore."
Voordelen: "Enough room to move around. Very much spacious"
Voordelen: "From the top to the bottom, everything was excellent except for..."
Nadelen: "...the boarding, which was somewhat chaotic. An announcement was repeatedly made that the final boarding call for the flight had been issued, and suddenly the entire assembly of passengers waiting before the gate stood up en masse and moved toward the gate, where we ended up standing for twenty or so minutes while the passengers were boarded in sequence according to seat assignment. I'm certain that Emirates has a protocol for gate announcements, but one of their employees certainly didn't know what it was."
Voordelen: "In flight staff were great, very industrious, and very friendly. In-flight entertainment was the best I have come across on an economy seat."
Nadelen: "My check-in experience was concerning. I had an onward flight to Manila, but no onward flight from there. The airline policy had me not allowed to check in for my flight because of this. I narrowly avoided missing my flight by booking another flight just in time."
Nadelen: "I didn't appreciate the service on board. It was slow and not as professional as usual. The crew seemed too young to know better. They only served water once which isthe #1 thing you should keep offering on a long flight like mine. I also didn't appreciate overhearing staff gossiping about other passengers."
Voordelen: "A380 is really comfortable even in economy and choice for entertainment is great"
Nadelen: "Crew are great during standard service runs such as meal / drinks but outside of assigned duties trying to get their attention is almost impossible as the are busy chatting. Pressed the cabin crew call button and took over 15 mins for someone to respond (and only after I caught someone's attention walking past - for the second time, the first person took my request then never reappeared). This despite at least 8 crew members walking past me."
Voordelen: "I liked the customer service, entertainment, flight Attendants, food and everything that Emirates has to offer! I felt like I was in first class while in coach!!!"
Nadelen: "The duration of the flight was extremely long and that made me uncomfortable and it was hard to sleep."

Nadelen: "The temperature was around 18 degrees.i asked several times if they can adjust it to normal the crew kept saying we will ask to pilot etc.no improvement. While facing covid i dont want to get cold!! Secondly no one checked for covid results while boarding and/or on check-in kiosks.i asked during boarding why they are not checking the reports the answer was they thought we had been checked during check-in.totaly fiasco and no alignement.i didnt want to get in a plane people with covid!!"

It is sad that just one member can influence the overall perception of the flight experience !!!!!"

Voordelen: "The flight and crew were fine. The food and drinks are free, which I wish some US carriers would take note of and adopt."

Nadelen: "My seat was not functioning so I was not able to recline to more comfortably sleep during the flight. The flight was an overnight flight from NYC-JFK to Istanbul, i.e. so a VERY long flight! A flight attendent was not able to get the seat to recline either and said she'd come back to help with another seat or some other solution, but never returned. This made the flight less comfortable and a bit disappointing as my typically experience with Turkish Airways is excellent!!"
Voordelen: "DC to Istanbul: Good food and nice flight experience. Helpful staff were always ready to help. Istanbul to DC: clean, maintained aitcraft, nice crew, good food."
Nadelen: "DC to Istanbul: Broken bathroom lock. Not very clean aisles. Very few English speaking crew. Istanbul to DC: Ran out of second option lunch. This seem to happen frequently. Most of the crew members were strangely not around. This resulted in two overworked crew members and lots of trays sitting on our laps for sometime. I was curios what all the other ones were doing."
Voordelen: "Free beer, edible food, free tote bag with earplugs blindfolds and (crappy) ear phones"
Nadelen: "Very small seats, long layover in airport with minimal entertainment options, security risks of spending layover in terrorist attacked airport, flying from prague we had to fly 3 hours East only to fly 12 hours West...24 hours of travel to fly from eastern Europe is not necessary. Next time I'll pay more and avoid flying through Istanbul."
Nadelen: "First let me tell you that when I booked a flight to Istanbul from Brussels, I booked, so I thought, the airport called Istanbul Ataturk with the initials of IST. What I got was SAW after I paid for a booking that said IST. Sabina Gokcen is one hour away further on the Asian side of Turkey. I did not want this airport! There was nothing I could do about this but bite the bullet & accept what I got since I was not allowed to have any corrections made after paying for this ticket. I am highly disappointed with Kayak. The first time you have disappointed me greatly!"
Voordelen: "Entertainment (movies) always helpful to pass the time."
Nadelen: "Hot in the plane during and after boarding - no cool air. I have come to expect more from Turkish Airlines, and I hope they make sure they improve this aspect."
Nadelen: "The representatives did not encourage an organized line to handle their passengers. They let people storm their office and usually helped those speaking Croatian first."
