We had a long layover, 12 hours, and they said we didn't have rights for anything. So we went to the city on our one because we didn't want to go on organized tour that we need to pay extra money"

The crew were courteous, addressing us by name and nothing was too much trouble."
Nadelen: "Boarding at Bali Airport is chaotic. This can hardly be attributed to Qatar Airways but this needs to be sorted out. When boarding began, it started with "Group 1" rather than business and other priority customers. It ended up rather chaotic with boarding halted at the end of the escalator causing a very uncomfortable situation as people struggled to get off the escalator."

Nadelen: "7kg and only one carry one!?? Budget airlines do better!! Try being a professional with a laptop and a few travel essentials and you won’t get far on Qatar. How crazy. Even if you have diamond one world status (the highest) unless u fly business class there is no chance in getting more onboard for your carryon. Works best airline my a**!"

Voordelen: "I liked their customer service, food, and the flight attendants were friendly. They have a very nice shopping mall at Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar."
Nadelen: "They have less space to move your feet and after a while your left knee begins to hurt because you have been sitting in the plane for a long time. Whenever I asked to get a drink of water or soft drinks, it took the flight attendant 10-15 minutes to arrive with my drink. I understand she was occupied with other duties, but she should have made me her priority."

When we went online there were almost no more seats available so we decided to go to the check in counter in the airport. Although we were more than 3 hours in advance in the airport there were almost no seats available. We were very disappointed about this service, we never experienced this with any other airline companies..."

My disturbance with what I experience as sexist, worsened each time I saw this. Luckily I learnt how to fast forward, but the sexism of this left me disturbed. so although in reality much of your service is excellent, this advertising of a sexist world view was too disturbing to ignore. I hope my comments are helpful to you in considering that many women in the world now expect their fathers to consider passing on a fair share of their resources to their daughters as well."

Nadelen: "Using the video screen is a mystery tour - badly programmed. The Doha airport is an architect's Ego Trip and badly laid out, extremely long walks to get anywhere, ferocious prices for anything (carry snacks for your layover!). The smoking lounge doesn't even have a proper exhaust system so smoke permeates the terminal in the vicinity. Plus 4 bar stools hogged by rude, arrogant young Arab men who have NO respect or consideration for elders, disabled, etc. Incident with boarding passenger in Saigon was VERY badly handled & delayed departure over an hour, risking connections for a number of passengers. They cannot handle things well, yet crew is basically nice, kind. Food is AWFUL; saving grace is fresh fruit, roll & butter, yoghurt - the nice little side dishes."

Voordelen: "Visa for India was not checked in Denver. Landed in Frankfurt and discovered that the visa was expired. Stuck in Frankfurt for 3 nights until new visa was issued. No babes the entire time I was in Germany. Arrived in Mumbai after paying the $350 US change fee and no bags. Bags finally arrived on Monday at 9AM Without clothes, toiletries and medications for 6 nights. Now I am delayed and will probably have to pay rebuke and fare change to extend my stay here."

Nadelen: "It wasn't an issue on my flight since there were empty seats in my row, but I don't enjoy the spacing provided for personal items on the floor under the seat in front you. For four seats there are three sections; so, you can hope that someone doesn't need any space or else you have to decide how to awkwardly split it up."

Nadelen: "The crew we had was very impatient and irritated quickly. The flighy attendent name was Jorge. Starting at the beggining of the flight before we took of I asked him about the head phones. One child had one on tye chair and I asked him if its suppose to be on the seat or given later on. He said it will be passed later and then with a patronizing manner he gave another head phone set and said: "I guess we havw an emergency". On the flight, every time he with the food and drinks he just stood there next to me talking over my head with the passenger begind me. Very uncomfortable, especially when it happens 6 or 7 times. When asking what drink we wanted ( the first time), i replied apple and orange juicewith no ice. He replied, with a patronizing manner "this it European company, not American company. Here we don't put ive if you do not ask for it".The incident that bother me the most is one that involved my kids also. My daughter (3 years old) was a bit scared of the flight, tired and did not want to sit on her chair. We tried to keek her on the chair buy she started crying laying down on the floor infront of our seats. Jorge the flight attendant saw her and told me to put her on the seat. Not in a manner I expect out of soneone in the service industry. I told him we are working on it and we will have her on the chair as soon as we can. When I said that he got irritated and a bit aggressive. For no reason the situation became hostile. The flight attendent on the other side (do not know his name). Can over and asked us what we needed amd if we need help. I told the other flight attendant we need 5 minutes and he said OK. After a few minutes she calmed down. Anotger passenger asked Jorge what beer it is and he replied, with contempt, " its German beer, its good"."

Voordelen: "United is a good partner to Lufthansa. I like United. It was a quick flight, but a good one."

Nadelen: "The airplane crew was rude. They could have been more nicer regarding food. My mother is diabetic and I asked the lady to get her a small sandwich or something so she can take her meds and plus her sugar levels where getting low. And the lady on her side was really rude and said NO."

Nadelen: "Plane was changed to a different plane and caused lots of confusion. Boarding process was chaos, loaded all passengers in a room too small with many standing and getting too hot."

Nadelen: "I intensely disliked the 3 hour delay in Copenhagen!!! And that SAS offered the passengers in transit a meal voucher of only 50 danish Kronas, which was just enough to buy a tall Starbucks coffee drink but not enough to eat anything at the airport!"

Nadelen: "In Copenhagen I left my iphone in the bin during security check. Half an hour later i heard my name on P.A. system. The message was muffled and never repeated. I ran in circles trying to retrieve my phone and I got very poor assistance. I had to be deboarded an boarded again and barely made my flight. I was misinformed several times and ran around the airport with my hand luggage like a chicken without a head. Why wasn’t it brought to my gate? They had my info."

Nadelen: "Food was pretty atrocious. Before having this flight I tried many times to book a special meal but their website is nearly impossible to use. So on the flight I was given two options of fish or mexican beef. Mexican beef meant slow cooked beef in a salty brown sauce with 2 kidney beans. Yes 2 kidney beans. With potatoes carrots and broccoli. Entertainment was pretty lacking. Not a lot of options. Also it was freezing the entire flight."

Voordelen: "Very friendly crew. Landed on time. The plane was full but it was no panic during disembarkation - everyone was silent. I have never seen anything quite like this before!"

Nadelen: "SAS charged me 70 Euros for a small 14 KG carryon luggage. It should have been free. Even Ryan air only charged 35$ for a checked bag. This was ridiculous and service was poor."

Voordelen: "I loved that there were a lot of different movies, TV shows, games, music, and more to choose from- all for free! Then there was a dinner- not bad at all-, a snack later on, and breakfast too, all included. Headphones if you needed them ( lifesaver there as I had temporary misplaced mine), a blanket, and a pillow. The crew was really polite, and there was never more than one person in line for the bathroom."

Nadelen: "I makes down for food and entertainment but food could be bought and provided entertainment is not necessary for short flights with such good views of beautiful Norway."

Nadelen: "When trying to board in Copenhagen there were some mishaps, but these were mainly caused by people ignoring signs along the way. They did not offer any complimentary snacks at all. Only one drink"

Nadelen: "I Had checked several times to make sure I had 2 bags included ( standard for US-EU flights) and every time. At the airport I had to pay an extra charge for my second bag which made the flight very expensive and just ruined the whole experience for me"

Nadelen: "to realise at the airport that they will charge me 70 EUR for one luggage for one way only is outrageous! it wasnt clear at all that there wasnt luggage included in the price of the ticket... all of my previous tickets bought via kayak and priceline were also with luggage included and we have understood the given price as including luggage! i find it very negative and very bad experience and feel robbed, this is not acceptable business approach. my suggestion is that you will refund me the extra cost for the luggage. thank you."

Nadelen: "The crew and the flight and the booking etc. is all very good and easy. I greatly trust and enjoy SAS The one hour wait in line directly to get in at the gate is a bit odd, to board the plane. For me the seats are about 2 inches short and legroom and I just don't have space for my legs"

Nadelen: "I didn't not like the fact that I had to wait too long about 9hrs in Copenhagen. The intial transit time was about 3hrs but the flight schedule was changed resulting to about 9hrs wait at the airport. Thanks to the Service representative I was given 100 Denmark money for food. I was very tired and the 9hrs wait didn't help. Overall, the Service was good. Maybe this was a one off but I wish I knew. I was going to get some rest in a holtel."

Voordelen: "Easy boarding, food equate for economy, entertainment fine. No wine or beer inc,used in economy but not a big deal. Excellent seating if you know what to chose."

Nadelen: "After purchasing ticket in December 2015, was placed on stand-by when arriving in Hamburg."

Nadelen: "I was sitting next to a special needs man and the crew was extremely unhelpful towards him. He should not have been flying alone and they did not help him at all. When you handed out the customs form he told the stewardess he needed help and she ignored him. When I pressed the call button for him it took someone 35minutes to come back and then she told him she would help him after dinner. I pressed a call button the second time to help him find something and again it took over 30 minutes for someone to come back to us. If there was a real emergency this delay would have been a huge problem. The stewardess was extremely rude in general."

Voordelen: "Wonderful service! Flight attendants kind and thoughtful. Once in terminal 5 (from terminal 1) a Sas gate agent escorted us to flight since our previous United flight was so late"

Voordelen: "The flight crew (flight attendants are the best I've encountered in terms of tone and hospitality) cleanliness, the food, frequent offers of water, your own TV and numerous options for entertainment and ability to track flight"
Nadelen: "Like the sleek style but still wish there was a little more leg room"

Nadelen: "1st class could not board because that area was not cleaned"

Nadelen: "Food wasn't good , change for drinks"

Voordelen: "I was informed by email the evening before my return flight back to London that the flight had been cancelled. I tried calling multiple SAS offices overnight, and finally reached someone the morning of my flight and was rebooked to a different flight, via Berlin. When I got to the airport the booking hadn't been updated, so I had to go through the entire process again with customer service. Because of the flight cancellation and the difficulties rebooking, I was not able to book my luggage so I was charged a penalty fee at the airport when I was finally checked in for the flight via Berlin, and paid much more for my bag than I should have."

Nadelen: "2 hour window for transfers"

Nadelen: "The flight from Rome to Dublin was 1 hr. Delayed (aer lingus also)therefore we missed our connecting flight to Los Angeles we missed our flight."

Voordelen: "Flight was fast."
Nadelen: "The boarding process could have been better organized. For example by seat number like other airlines do. Having everyone board at once was a bit disoriented."

Nadelen: "Flight delayed over an hour. Gate changed twice without announcement"

Voordelen: "Crew were amazing. The cabin had the new lighting system which was an unexpected bonus, love it."

Voordelen: "Unable to check in online. Not from phone. Not on website. Called directly and waited forever. And told must do at airport. Arrived and was told flight booked and full so bumped from the flight. Paid $2000 for a coach ticket and not able to get on either flight from Boston - so missed all meeting."

Voordelen: "I liked the service once we left Dublin but once it was time to arrive to Leeds everything went downhill."
Nadelen: "Our flight did not land to Leeds but to Manchester. I thought this would not be an issue to get my connecting flight to London. As I tried to explain to the airline attendants about my connecting flight they had no idea what was going on and said it wasn't their issue I would have to go to Leeds and explain to them what was happening. I asked if there was a way we could call them and see if I could just get a flight to London from Manchester. They said no. I tried to get a number to call myself still nothing. They sent everyone from the flight onto a coach bus to Leeds. Once I arrived to Leeds, I spoke with Ben and explained my situation. He said there were no more flights to London or anywhere near there. And there wasn't any flights to Austin, TX which was my end point either. He explained there wasn't anything they could do except fly me in the morning to London. I agreed but then come to find out he had to send me back to Manchester. Now I had already had my arrangements to stay in London for the night so I did not have much money left. He said they would take care of the accommodations and the flight to London. I was VERY PATIENT. Within this he was telling me how close they were to closing. I explained I needed everything in place before they even left because I was traveling alone in an unknown country or city. He arranged a cab to take me back to Manchester and a hotel to stay in with dinner and breakfast available. I thought everything would get better but of course it didn't. Ben clearly knew I had my checked bag and carry on. When I'm about to board the flight to London they charged me 60 pounds for my CHECKED BAG. Now this was already included on flight to begin with if all of this had not happened. The attendant did not want to listen to my story and kept passing me to another attendant that said there's nothing they could do. I had to pay since I couldn't leave my belongings. Once i arrived to London. I had to get my bag and RECHECK IN MY BAG. AGAIN they tried to charge me for my checked bag. This time I had enough of your airline and explained it was all included in my flight and I went on a rant with the attendant. He just stared and printed out the ticket for my bag. Didn't look at the computer. Didn't even explain why it's all of sudden taken care of that I don't have to pay anymore. I had no patience to hear his excuse but just wanted to get back home. This has been the worst experience I have ever had with an airline. Frontier isn't even this unorganized. Shouldn't there be a process for these kind of situations already?"

Voordelen: "Decent legroom, pillows and blankets, food and drink all at no cost (paid for bag, opted not to pay for seats and still ended up together)."

Nadelen: "I talk to member of the Kayak to change the spelling on my middle name. It was never done and i was charged 500 dollars through United to fix it."

Nadelen: "I was unable to get my seats assigned from America. I had to go to the Aer Lingus desk when I arrived to get seat assignment."

Voordelen: "I fly a lot in the US. Most of the time I’m afaid of the US flight attendants because they act like I’m bothering them when I ask a question. Aer Lingus flight attendants were so nice and SMILED even at 3am! Great service!"

Nadelen: "While I didn't have to check my bag on the first longer flight, I did have to check it on the connecting flight which delayed me somewhat in getting into the city of London. Not awful, but strange... Free-for-all when boarding, not nearly as organized as it was at JFK."

Nadelen: "Unfortunately we had one grumpy flight attendant who sighed and rolled her eyes a lot. Too bad as all the other flight attendants were great. The seats were hard for such a long flight. The tv monitors had a lot of difficulty but finally worked. The sound was not good and made it hard to hear the dialogue."

Voordelen: "we were on the new Jumbo Air bus , looked new But TV system had a bug Seats were a bit jammed as expected these days Nice crew, tried to be helpful when directly asked , but they were too busy to come by and check ."
Nadelen: "Had to be rebooted twice and finally gave up on asking for the reboot"

Voordelen: "The blanket, pillow, leg room, food and drinks were excellent. The entertainment option was decent. The staff was pretty nice from check in to landing."

Nadelen: "After booking 2 months in advance to be placed at the LAST ROW next to the toilets? I will think long and hard before booking Aer Lingus."

Voordelen: "The seats were comfortable, the crew was friendly and the food was okay."
Nadelen: "The entertainment system wasn't great. The earphones quality was quite bad and felt really uncomfortable. Unfortunately, AerLingus still has that double pronged plugs and I wasn't able to use my personal set (actually, I could but sound would only work on one side). I'll definitely fly with them again, only next time I'll bring an attachment for me to be able to use my headphones."

Nadelen: "Lack of leg room, I know it's the safe in economy on all airlines, but it's tough!"

Nadelen: "On the MIA-DUB flight, my headset/entertainment would keep losing sound. On the DUB-BRU: the flight was almost an hour late. They could have at least given free coffee or water to all of us in Economy."

Voordelen: "The flight was delayed by a little over an hour, but the pilot managed to make up some time. Airplane was clean enough and crew was friendly."

Nadelen: "Picking up a stroller is always a pain with Aer Lingus. When you gate check a stroller it should be returned at the gate when you deboard. Sometimes it's near the front of the gate and other times it's by oversized baggage claim which is really painful having to carry a little one through the airport. Plus, it takes a good 30-45 minutes for the stroller to appear if you're lucky. In Paris it took 70 minutes after we deboardes. Aer Lingus needs to follow other airlines by returning the stroller as you deboard."

Voordelen: "NA"
Nadelen: "Other passengers didn't understand how pounding on the back of a seat affects the passenger in the seat"

Nadelen: "No free snacks or drinks. I expected at least water and a small snack."

Voordelen: "We left on time and landed a bit early. Only 1 1/2 hour flight, so no food, drink or service, but it got us there."

Voordelen: "Food, movies, snacks"

Nadelen: "The crew looked completely unhappy. There was only one crew member smiling. The flight was delayed by about an hour due to food. I feel if we are paying for a flight that is 7+ hours the crew should at the very least fake a smile."

Nadelen: "3 hour delay without good communication"

Voordelen: "Boarding went smoothly, and it was on time. There was no enternainment on board, but it's no problem for a short flight."
Nadelen: "Not enough room for our hand luggage, but the crew did not help us."

Voordelen: "Our children were given an activity bag as we boarded the plane, and that was nice"
Nadelen: "The first problem was that we had to pay $95 per check in bag—A total of $800 extra round trip! That was a shock and very angry. Next we were told we would get a free meal on the international flight but there was no meal—for 7 hours! Then $12 for WiFi. We will never fly Iceland air again!!"

Nadelen: "They did not have hamburgers but when I called about seat reservation I was told I had order a hamburger but they weren’t even on the menu."

Voordelen: "Reasonable fares. Good baggage accommodations. Denver to Iceland direct. Nice flight staff. The flight attendant pointed out the people who were awake the northern lights which was definitely the highlight of my trip!"
Nadelen: "Seats small. Surprised no meals unless purchased. But didn’t matter too much I ate before the flight left. And it was nice to have something to purchase if needed. It was confusing where I could purchase my baggage ahead of the me while checking in online so I just paid for it once I got to the airport."

Voordelen: "I’m usually easy to please but there wasn’t much to say that’s positive. Maybe the staff was helpful?"
Nadelen: "Air was out in coach so everyone was sweating in a sauna, while first class was cold and didn’t want the air any higher, major problem, needed to sleep but could get 15 min in. Worst flight I’ve ever been on, never been that uncomfortable in the air before"

Voordelen: "Good basic service and ontime flights. No real frills but very adequate."

Voordelen: "On time departure Landed earlier than expected"
Nadelen: "Disappointed alcohol was not complimentary like all my previous international flights."

Voordelen: "Great crew, comfortable seats although was unable to choose seats prior to check in."
Nadelen: "Got charged for bags when we had booked regular economy class, NOT economy “light”. Was told the baggage policy changed since we booked - TOTAL BS! Also, c’mon, give us ONE free beer on a 7 hour flight."

Voordelen: "The overall mediocre entertainment was the best part."
Nadelen: "Bag drop took 75 minutes waiting in a line with minimal signage. The middle seat is not designed to accommodate a small backpack, let alone, my tiny, size 5 feet. There are no snacks provided (7.5 hour flight) and NO refills on WATER!!"

Voordelen: "They boarded the back of the plane first. The flight was on time."
Nadelen: "Checked-in online, got baggage tag from kiosk, only to find that there was no baggage drop, and everyone had to stand in line whether they had already checked-in or not. They had several airlines mixed together and no signage to tell you where to go, so people ended up in the wrong place first. Knew there would be no food, so brought snacks, only to have the crew tell us there was a person who was allergic to peanuts on the flight and we were not allowed to open our snacks because they contained peanuts."

Voordelen: "The movie selection was good."
Nadelen: "When I purchased these tickets, they promised one free per person checked bag and an included meal. Did not get these had to pay for them. Kinda annoying had to pay for those when the tickets originally promised these amenities."

Voordelen: "The flight was smooth and the service was great."
Nadelen: "Nothing to complain about"

Nadelen: "Surprised by very large bag fees, reservation was unclear about baggage allowance and charges."

Voordelen: "Price"
Nadelen: "Flight was canceled due to strike in Iceland, and Iceland Air offered NO COMPENSATION. We were stranded in the Denver Airport for two days with kids, but our dog was not brought back to us during that time. We were finally re-routed via another airline."

Nadelen: "No E-mail or other notice as to cancelled flight. No sign at counter. No specific agent found. Finally upon talking with a substituting Lufthansa agent we were given a number to call. Very bad customer service at the counter."

Nadelen: "Tiny seats (average sized male here - trust - they are tiny) All food is charged (not a single piece of free food was offered; $8/sandwich) Lost luggage - I've never dealt with airline personnel (in person & over phone) that displayed such a level of apathy. Compensation ceiling: $99. They apologized about the incident as if they were sorry that it was raining that day - not losing 2 pieces of luggage and not having any means to track them. Check-in personnel: They only gave me a single luggage tag for 3 pieces of luggage - they should have given me 3. Would have made tracing lost luggage easier. Employee @ IAD told me that if I didn't show up at the boarding gate 40 minutes prior to boarding that they would remove my luggage from airplane and that I could risk losing flight (wtf?). Icelandair is one of the worst airlines I have ever flown. I highly recommend looking elsewhere. They may offer rates 20% cheaper than other major carriers, but that discount accompanies a steep price. It's an airline run by inexperienced, lackluster, apathetic staff who, frankly, have no business operating an airline. If your options are flying with a major carrier vs Icelandair - and the price difference is a few hundred $: pay the extra money; you'll be glad you did. Icelandair's prices are not low enough to justify all the discomforts and liabilities which accompany them. Look elsewhere. Keep this in mind: I'm a seasoned flyer. This airlines barely ranks one notch up from Ryanair."

Nadelen: "They dont offer a meal for free."

Nadelen: "My wife's bag did not make the plane from KEF to AMS. Still hasn't arrived 30 hours later."

Nadelen: "Depending on the seat you get (aisle, middle, or window) you either can or cannot fit anything under the seat in front of you. Each seat has different space. What I usually take wouldn't fit anywhere but the window. The middle seat space is USELESS as there is something installed that MAY give you about 6 inches from floor to it. The aisle seat's forward under space is a cube shape, so typical carry-ons won't fit there either. As I slept the whole way to Reykyavik, I don't know much about the service. The under seat space may lead me to not booking Icelandair again."

Voordelen: "Icelandair is great because your connection waits for you even if your flight is late."

Voordelen: "The crew was nice and it was nice that they gave my 8 year old son an activity bag and free meals. The entertainment center was great. The flight was on time and everything seemed to run smoothly."
Nadelen: "It felt like a domestic flight in that there wasn't a lot of extra space and we had to pay for everything (food, snacks, headphones, wifi) aside from soft drinks."

Nadelen: "Movie selection"

Nadelen: "No blankets and the temp in the plane was freezing. Possibly this is only for this specific flight, very little info on delay and almost no info on what was going on."

Nadelen: "Arrived late."

Nadelen: "Got bumped from flight and caused layover. Lost baggage. Tv sound did not work in air."

Nadelen: "The movies were all old, no new variety. They refused to let us take our bag on to the plane even though it fit in their provided sample bin and made us check it at the gate. There was plenty of room on the plane bins and several bigger backpacks than our small duffle bag! This caused us a lot of extra time spent upon arrival waiting for it"

Nadelen: "you cancelled my flight, no more Iceland air for us, we had to cancel our entire vacation."

Voordelen: "-This was the first time flying with Icelandair and will definately fly with you again. Hot coffee was very good and so was the Yogart."
Nadelen: "Not having a meal available. Next time I will know to pack a sandwich."

Voordelen: "Folks were friendly and efficient."

Voordelen: "I appreciated the fact that we were able to fly out despite there being a major snow storm and closed airport just hours before our takeoff. We also appreciated being able to switch our connection flight fairly easily once we knew we would be delayed. The staff was very kind and since we had a longer layover in Keflavik, we were very grateful for the food vouchers to used in the airport while we waited."
Nadelen: "The airline wouldn't make a decision about whether or not the plane would be flying out on time or be delayed until about an hour before our original boarding time. Seeing as the airport and only road getting to the airport were closed, it seems like they would have been able to make that decision and alert all passengers much sooner. We kept calling in to check on the flight status and they said we would receive texts and emails with any changes, but I never did."

Voordelen: "Huge snowstorm in Denver caused the airport to shut down. Plane left about 5 hours late. We missed our connection and even though it wasn't Icelandic Air's fault they gave me a taxi, a room and three meals until I caught my connecting flight the next day. Amazing service."

Voordelen: "Comfortable seat and enjoyed movie/TV selection."
