Notre départ et notre arrivée étaient à l’heure. Nous étions bien servis par les membres d’équipage. Malheureusement, moins d’espace dans ce modèle d’avion que dans les modèles plus récents. Les écrans installés dans les sièges fonctionnent très lentement, donc pas beaucoup de divertissement pour le vol de 8 heures

Les membres d’équipage ont été attentifs. La qualité de repas- à améliorer

Transit à Frankfort : horrible !

J'ai manqué ma connection en dépit des assurances de l'équipage. 6 heures d'attente.

Vol retardé (+ d'1 heure), pilote qui annonce que les autres vols à Frankfurt sont aussi retardés, donc qu'il sera possible tout de même de continuer le voyage. Annonce qu'un employé de Lufthansa va nous attendre pour nous aiguiller. Rien de cela ne s'est passé. La seule chose c'est que j'ai manqué ma connection, à peu près 8 heures de retard. Inacceptable

Le fait de refuser de servir un deuxième verre de vin sous prétexte d’effectifs réduits à cause de la pandémie, Servir de l’eau ou du vin ce ´n’est pas plus difficile ! Aucun choix de repas et une bouillie trop cuite qu’ils osent appeler pasta. Personnel de bord particulièrement expéditif et antipathique. Le pire long courrier de ma vie.

Nadelen: "1. The comfort in economy class was insulting and horrible. I am 6'3", 175lbs and was trapped in one uncompromisingly uncomfortable position for 8+ hours. Torture is a word that comes to mind. If I were a smaller sized person, 5'8" or less, perhaps this may be acceptable, but for anyone over 6'. forget it. You must pay loads extra to be given a respectable seat. I am hopeful that I don't develop a blood clot from this flight. This lack of room is a seriously dangerous situation for many people on long-distance flights. 2. The seat recline feature added further insult to the mix. Once airborne, the lady in the seat in front of me sent her seat into what was left of any personal space or legroom I had. The video screen on the setback in front of me was literally 6" from my face now. Several people who were also of taller size complained, one was so adamant about retaining his space that he fought verbally with the lady in front of him, and eventually a stewardess had to be called. My wife complained on my behalf, and was able to get the lady in front of me to reposition her seat, but eventually, I noticed it somehow found its way back to recline again. I know Lufthansa is not alone with this predicament, but something HAS TO BE DONE to fix this huge problem with air travel. 3. The food on the flight to Germany was way better than the return trip. The meal consisted of mushy carrots, greasy mashed potato-like side, and a piece of OK chicken smothered in 'Murican BBQ sauce. I was insulted. Lufthansa had been better than this in the past. Oh, and the dinner roll was so dry and crumbly, it could have been weeks old. The snack before landing was called pizza, but I wouldn't call it that It was a bunch of tasteless dough, a little bit of tomato like sauce and a smattering of cheese. I wish Lufthansa would stick to what they do best; German-influenced food. Be true to who you are. Most people I know love German food, and I always have looked forward to LH food selections. Not now."
Nadelen: "Delay of 45 minutes made me almost miss my connecting flight."
Voordelen: "Due to a hurricane, I actually missed my original flight date, but Aer Lingus allowed me to rebook (2 days later!) at no cost, which was really great of them. Absolutely no wait at check-in and very good service there. Got window seats on both legs of flight, with no one in my row. Meals on first flight leg were very good. Crew did a good job and made me confident of their work. Both flight legs arrived early. Everything went well. Very good airline - I will certainly fly with them again."
Nadelen: "It seems that there was no snack or beverage on the second leg of flight (ca. 3 hours), but I probably just slept through it. Price seemed high for this route and season, but it was much better than any other airline: flying has become expensive in the COVID era. But Aer Lingus keeps us moving ahead. Great job!"

This should be more clear when booking, because it was a surprise. It was appreciate to have no charge, however for carry on + one checked bag."

Nadelen: "First of all, they were not able to locate my reservations even after I showed them the e ticket. I had to be on call with Etihad for 1 hour to figure out my reservation. I had a small 7-year-old son with me and we were at the airport from one day. Since my other flight got cancelled I ended up boarding taking Etihad. I was first in the line at the check-in counter and ended up boarding at the end with all the hassle. I requested the vegetarian food twice and confirmed it while the reservation, but still didn't get the food. My son and myself were hungry for few hours. The crew was not very supportive to accommodate any food."

Nadelen: "There were absolutely no vegetarian meals. All flights should at least have a few extra just in case someone needs some. After I refused the meal, I didn't even get water or anything. I was given a nauseating wrap with tea towards the end of the flight. I'm not even sure how that was expected to be edible. Unbelievable, I will not be flying Aer Lingus again."

Parce que AA a mal fait son planning , pas de pilote . Il a fallu attendre un pilote puis un co pilote. On a décollé avec 1h40 de retard

Flight was great!

I had to be moved from my seat due to a passenger with a dog as I am allergic to dog hair

Too much delay at every step of the travel. Even after landing, had to stay at tarmac for a long time due to unavailable gate. Overall a bad experience of 3.5 Hr delay for one Hr flight. Families with children and mask were struggling to be there.

The plane was gross. Everything seemed dirty and had black smudges all over it. The plane was older and areas where paint had chipped off (on arm rests or interior panels) was repainted poorly. I don’t expect aircraft to be pristine but I was kind of surprised this one was still in service. The rest of the flight was fine. The plane was just yuck. Thank god they gave us wet wipes when boarding.

Nadelen: "Flight was delayed due to weather, understandable. We deplaned. This was the first short 1.5 hour leg of an international flight. It seemed clear that we would not make our connecting flights, which messes everything up with covid tests, quarantine, and all the many restrictions that airlines have insisted without thinking about the consequences. I tried to share my concern with the agent at American Airlines, knowing that it would probably be better to rebook and start all over for the following week or something. But his limited perspective, condescending attitude, and egotistical control behavior would not listen to me and was only concerned with getting me to the first stop 1.5 hours away. 7hrs later, stuck on that same plane which rerouted and refueled, I am now stuck in a city for 2 days since I had to rebook and start all over for missing my international connecting flight. Still have 20+ more hours of flying to go and nowhere closer to my destination. Hotel, rental, and new covid tests are all at my expense. Just wish American Airlines staff would listen and help, but if you don't shut up and comply to their every demand, they will ban you and ruin your life forever."

Nadelen: "American isn’t my preferred airline for obvious reasons (delays, notoriously bad service, old planes, and a lack of amenities like WiFi and tv’s), but now I’ll never spend my money with them again. They took me off an already delayed flight after I’d already boarded to examine my smart bag. I know that lithium batteries can’t be taken in the underbelly of the plane and I knew my bag would likely be checked at the gate (why I removed the battery and left it at home in the first place). When they asked me if I had a lithium battery in my bag I said “no.” They then gate checked the bag and allowed me on the plane. After everyone had been boarded (half an hour after we’d been scheduled to take off) they then called my name out on the speaker. I had to then de-board the plane and re-explain to staff that there was no lithium battery in my bag. The staff didn’t believe me citing the infallible logic: “there are ports so there’s a battery.” I told them again and again that the battery had been removed and the charging ports—while there—were inert as they weren’t attached to the battery. STILL, I had to remove all of my clothes from the bag, and open every single compartment (of which there were many) for them to allow me to get back onto the plane. They were telling me that they might have to “rebook the flight” if my bag couldn’t get on. I don’t think I need to explain how agitated/terrified that made me."

Nadelen: "Flight between fort myers and charlotte was stuck on the tarmac for more than 1h. I missed my connexion and was rebooked next day at 11am. I missed one full day of work. Next time, the flight could wait 15 o 20mn to allow passengers to reach the gate"

Nous avons perdu une journée de travail mon époux et moi-meme. Lui a du annuler une formation impliquant 10 personnes qui venait de toute la France."

Aucun surclassement offert durant le vol tandis que la famille à côté de moi était malade 4. Ils ont perdus mon bagage à main alors que l'agence de bord m'avait promis de ne pas le perdre lorsque je lui ai demandé. Ils m'ont retiré mon bagage à main puisque ma petite valise que je transportais n'entrait pas sous le siège. L'agence de bord est parti avec mon bagage contentant tous mes médicaments, ma couverture et une partie de mes vêtements et c'est la dernière fois que j'ai vu ma valise. Lorsque je suis arrivé à Bruxelles, mon bagage à main qui fut placé en soute n'était pas à destination et j'ai pleuré toutes les larmes de ma vie."

Mais il y aurait aucun probleme si le prix du vol etait à 50% que le vol Lufthansa avec le confort necessaire. Comme j ai dit c'est un low cost à prix normal et je ne trouve pas normal."

On me dis que je perd mes correspondances et ne pourrai être à Berlin que 24h plus tard que prévu. J’ai réussi à « trouver un vol » avec une apps sur mon Iphone. Et apprendre l’existence de ce vol à la préposé."

Nadelen: "Écran non fonctionnel a l’allée et au retour... pour un vol de plus de 2000 CAD ce n'est pas acceptable."
Voordelen: "The passengers, the Brussels airport retail area, 1 of the flight attendants who was polite and welcoming, and the entertainment selections. Finally being connected to Swiss staff."
Nadelen: "The crew was not very welcoming and was borderline rude when I asked any sort of question such as why I was not allowed to wear my headphones prior to take off. I was patient in not wearing them, but could not relaxing into the trip for the 40+ minutes we remained on the ground mostly not moving. I was tired when boarding and fumbled with my documents and was very curtly told to just hand them over. Another time I accidentally mistook headphones the stewardess was handing out for something else. I took a pair and then immediately gave them back with an apology that I didn't realise what they were, but thanked her anyway. This was met with a scowl and a bit of opposition. There was one stewardess that was very nice and accommodating out of the entire crew. On top of this the toilet seat on the plane was broken, so it fell on you when you were trying to go to the bathroom, and the soap dispenser was broken. I didn't dare mention these things to the flight crew though. The plane was late taking off from Montreal, and so was late landing in Brussels. No effort was made to provide connections assistance, or provide directions on where to go to rebook our missed connections. I and all others traveling to Zurich spent the entire morning trying to find anyone from Air Canada to help us rebook our flights. We literally were going from desk to desk between two terminals, and consulting each other as we went to limit the amount of leg work we all had to do. We all had to finally leave the terminal area and go to Swissport and stand in a long slow line. By that time any afternoon flight was already overbooked. So I and a group of other passengers were booked for an evening flight which forced me to book a hotel in Zurich because I couldn't get to where I needed to be that evening. After being rebook, I still tried to get on an earlier flight by going directly to the gate. It was confirmed that there was some extra space available, but they would not switch me to the earlier flight because I had a checked bag that I could not separate me from. Ultimately my bag was lost which made me have to stay awake and in the Zurich airport even longer after I finally arrived going from one lost baggage representative to another, and then waiting in another line to finally fill out paperwork because my bag had never been scanned in Brussels. The Zurich representatives were very polite, helpful, and efficient compared to anyone I encountered in Montreal, or Brussels. I was without my bag for 3.5 days of what was supposed to be a 10 day trip. My trip was reduced to 9 days because I spent an entire day in the Brussels airport and then had to spend the night in Zurich. I arrived in Zurich on Saturday night, and received my bag on Tuesday afternoon. All in all it was not a good experience until I got to Switzerland."

Nadelen: "This flight was overbooked and even though I booked in November for this Dec 30th flight I was given a seat 30 cm across from the bathroom. The crew area for meal Preparation etc was also directly behindmy seat. Needless to say, I got no sleep on this eight hour flight, had to endure disgusting smells from the bathroom and people hitting my seat every time they passed by bc this is an area where there is not usually a seat. Everyone waiting for the bathroom was in my bubble. To add salt in the wound, the TV and light for reading also did not work. This was the worst flight I've ever had and I feel Air Canada put these 2 seats there as a money grab. No one should ever have to sit there, especially when paying full price."
Nadelen: "Entertainment options are old. Food in unaccomodating for Vegetarians."
Nadelen: "Le vol est à moitié plein. Donc beaucoup de bancs vide. Je voyageais avec un chiot qu'on me demande de mettre au plancher par habitude. En temps normal, on a pas le choix puisque les bancs sont occupés, alors le plus sécuritaire pour tout le monde, c'est que bagages ( et chiot) se retrouve au sol sous le banc avant. Mais dans ce cas s'y, je pouvait ceinturer complètement la cage du chiot. Ne laissant aucun possibilité à celle-ci de se déplacer dans l'environnement s'il advenait des turbulences ou une perte de contrôle de l'appareil. Donc cala est une simple loi de physique. C'est plus sécuritaire pour tout les autres passagers que la cage soit retenue par la ceinture. Au lieu de cela, le personnel dit que c'est au cas où le compartiment ouvre et que des bagages à main tombe sur le chien (alors qu'en est-il pour nous? Devrais-je me coucher au sol?) où il m'explique que cela est plus sécuritaire pour le chiot puisque la ceinture pourrait se refermer sur la cage s'il y a des turbulences. Ce qui est ridicule, une ceinture ne se referme pas tout seule. Peut-être que le chien va bouger dans la cage mais au moin, la cage ne pourra pas bouger. Ce qui n'est pas le cas au sol. Alors plutôt de d'essayer de me convaincre que cela est plus sécuritaire pour le chiot d'être au sol, il vaudrait peut-être mieux leur expliquer les lois de la physique. Que l'équipage comprennent que tout ce qu'on peut immobiliser dans l'habitacle d'un véhicule de transport (avion,auto, train,...) c'est plus sécuritaire pour tout le monde. Que cela soit un chiot ou un bagage ne fait aucune différence. Faire preuve d'un peu de discernement et de réflexion peu s'avérer plus profitable et sécuritaire pour tous."

Nadelen: "Many connecting flights jammed together F terminal at YYZ. SOME thing caused delay after delay. This really messed up baggage people. Once we boarded after like - 10 delays and a gate change, there were NUMEROUS whole-flight mixups with luggage - so many similar flight numbers traveling to same destination and whole flights awaiting their luggage. Our party of four had our luggage spread through THREE different planes. WTH? No customer service at DTW once we arrived and there were so many livid people. Absolutely awful. We were supposed to arrive at 5PM and it's now 3:11AM. My son just completed filing a luggage claim loss. And we are off to drive home to Grand Rapids two hours away. Nightmare."

Voordelen: "As we approached Raleigh ~3:15am, over 4.5 hours late, the pilot apologized for the delay, which was thoughtful of him. And we arrived in one piece, so that was good too."
Nadelen: "While waiting for the flight, I whined on FB about our probable delay, and a friend responded with "I'm guessing that you're crammed at the end of that terminal hallway with about 10 other gates of people with no airplanes, no information, and 2 AC employees." Spot on. Apparently such delays, understaffed gates, and failures to communicate with passengers are par for the course. Friend even predicted the free bagels AC would eventually offer at the restaurant that closed 3 hours before our flight finally left. He didn't predict the multiple announcements about assorted other flights not having functional restrooms so please pee before boarding."

Voordelen: "Service before boarding was excellent. Checking in as long as the boarding time was efficient and fast. In flight service was okay, flight crew was helpful and friendly. The selection of entertainment was excellent. Good international films, in addition to the monocles 24 hours radio station. However, the food was mediocre, there was not enough food for a flight of 11 hours."
