Voordelen: "I had 3 seats to myself, and I was able to curl up and get a good 2 hours sleep without being disturbed. Thank you ANA. Crew was lovely and friendly."
Nadelen: "Well they could have given me a free upgrade but I can live with a row to myself, kidding. When the ticket counter opens the agents stand in front of the podiums and bow and say a greeting (I think it was in Japanese). They need to get their timing better. So not much."

Nadelen: "The food wasn’t very good and the quantity of the snack meager. Worse, the crew refused to give a second roll to our 12 year old even which means that either they only have one for each passenger (and every passenger had theirs) or the crew are parsimonious."

Nadelen: "The place where we at, the aircon/ fan is not working, my husband and I tried but still not working, uncomfortable feeling for a long trip , prior to this we had a long walk to find our gate number because it's in the new building. Our plane delayed so we arrived late at Tokyo causing to missed our plane connection then the crew helped us( very accommodating) for our transfer from Narita international airport to Haneda International airport with Limo bus, 1 & 1/2 hour ride with our luggages and waited for 8 hrs to be on board in a different airline."

Voordelen: "I traveled with my wife and twin sons who turned two last month. It was our first time to fly with the boys, and we were nervous about the flight for this reason. Thanks to ANA's staff both on the ground and in the air, everything went very smoothly. When we arrived at Haneda Airport (around 1:30pm), we went to the Special Assistance counter to get a stroller. The staff was friendly and patient, and didn't rush us at all. (It took a little while to get our things in order.) I was surprised to learn that we could check in from there, drop off our checked luggage and receive boarding passes, as well as an airport stroller. In addition, the boy who was awake at the time received an ANA airplane clip. We didn't get to the gate in time for pre-boarding. I was dismayed to find out that we'd have to take a bus to the aircraft. We had the maximum number of carry-on bags, plus two babies, only one of whom was in a carrier, and we learned that the stroller couldn't go on the bus. A gate agent brought our carry-ons onto the bus. She found priority seats for us and a place nearby to fit a bag that couldn't fit on one of our laps. On board, the cabin attendants were attentive and friendly, and gave toys to the boys. When we arrived at Hagi-Iwami Airport, two of them even carried all of our carry-on bags off the plane for us. (They also helped with our carry-on luggage upon returning to Tokyo. In fact, we had forgotten to reserve a stroller for when we deplaned, and a flight attendant tried to find one near the gate, to no avail.) When I think about all the positive experiences we had in a span of about three and a half hours, I am amazed at all the different people who helped to make our journey easier. I cannot imagine it happening in my home country or on most airlines I have flown."

Nadelen: "Service was extremely slow, it took almost two hours just to get offered a drink. There wasn't any offering after boarding and I had to ask just to get water. The food was quite bad, normally I would choose the Japanese meal, however, both the Japanese and International options were poor. The staff seemed unorganized and did not follow a set protocol."

Voordelen: "Hot food was good. Crew were friendly and helpful. They got me a window flight even though it wasnt on my ticket. Leg room was pretty good. Bathroom had a lot of amenities."
Nadelen: "The seats didn't recline at all. I slept horribly even though I'm pretty good at sleeping on planes."

Nadelen: "the plane was Hot! So hot we couldn't use the blankets. The staff in Tokyo did not want to let me and my twin 11 yr olds board early. We need extra time to be organised and in our seats for a very long flight. If not we block the aisle. And that is without consideration for the fact that my daughter has limited sight so needs my help and it takes time. I was disappointed that they didnt come through the cabin from time to time with snacks as most airlines do on long haul flights."

Nadelen: "No individual air conditioning. Centralized AC got hot. Old plane 777 Once I got to lax, there were no guide on getting to domestic connecting flight (united). After getting pampered with awesome ANA service, you get slapped with horrible united customer service."

Voordelen: "The flight was less busy than usual (it was an Easter Sunday departure) and so service was a bit more relaxed and friendly than usual instead of just efficient. Left gate a few minutes early and arrived 20 min early in Tokyo. Flight time is pretty good - 8pm departure which gives time for a relaxed day sightseeing in Dusseldorf before going to the airport in the late afternoon, Arrival in Tokyo is about 2pm which would be a good time to check in to hotels and relax. Food was good - dinner after take-off and a brunch-type meal a few hours before landing. Entertainment system is also very good although I'd flown a lot recently so seen the films I wanted to see already. Sometimes ANA are just "good" but this one was the best one I've flown recently."
Nadelen: "Surprised that their recently acquired 787s don't all have WLAN! Wanted to do some work ... but ... maybe enforced disconnection is a good thing sometimes :)"

Voordelen: "Whenever given the choice, I choose United flights operated by ANA over thiose operated by United because the ANA planes are generally newer, cleaner, have far superior on board entertainment (important for 12 hour flights) food is better and crew is more responsive/ solicitous."

Voordelen: "I liked the plane! Beautiful and new, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner was a pleasure to ride in. Staff was as pleasant and helpful as they always are on ANA and despite the long delay due to an engine repair, the ANA staff conducted themselves incredibly professionally."
Nadelen: "It wasn't such a bad experience for me but the plane did have a mechanical failure and the part was not in stock in Cambodia so had to be flown in. That resulted in a 24 hour delay. The ANA staff were excellent and did take care of us well."

Nadelen: "Flight actually has a later departure slot than the headline departure time; being Narita, there is a significant risk of extra delay due to runway congestion. Arrived late at BRU and nearly missed connection due to combination of this (nearly 1 hour delay) and adverse jet stream."

Voordelen: "We had to come home 2 weeks early due to the virus, and Singapore airlines were brilliant at changing the flights. Even got upgraded to the extra leg room for free"
Nadelen: "The extra leg room seats were naff, I like getting comfy in a chair and these ones were not. The screen was too far away and the arm rests didn’t move. Also, due to my partner having to swap seats, I was sat on my own next to strangers. They slept the whole way, so the crew never disturbed them meaning I missed out on food and drinks, even when asked"

Nadelen: "Crew was very poor in responding to any requests. I am usually very quite and light on demands as i hardly hit call button on the seat to get any assistance, but during meal, I was asked about drink and I opted for Ginger ale. Crew said, she will get back to me and I did not hear from her for another 10 mins, then there was repeat serve of drinks and I was asked if i needed any thing and asked the same drink, but then I was asked to wait. After I had finished off my meal and ready to go to sleep, someone was bringing my drink out and I then respectfully say no to it as it was bit late after the meal and asked for water instead and did not like the look on the face of the crew member. I saw it happening with other passengers as well and was under the impression, the whole crew performance was pretty poor and SIA was not up to its high-standards as I always like to fly with them. I will look for different option next time"

We were told to keep our seats upright during meal times and to keeo our window shutters down during other times. This made sense. But there were passengers right in front of us who had their seats reclined during meal time and the crew did not tell them anything."

Nadelen: "We departed late and arrived at least 30-40 mins late. Crowded plane. I was very uncomfortable, the person sitting next to me took up space and was not very friendly. Bathrooms were not so clean at times (this may not necessarily be the airline’s fault)."

Nadelen: "Laptop bags are not allowed at New Delhi Airport. Only one carry on is allowed with no laptop bag. These are not Emirates policies. New Delhi airport has its own policies. Highly frustrating at that moment because these are not the baggage allowances anywhere else in the world"

Apparently there was no sync between the staff itself and everyone was trying to solve this problem in their own way. However the good part was that they were at least trying to solve the problem! Flight was delayed by about 30 mins due to this chaos."
