I felt so much more safe flying Delta on my way home to Hawaii in July than I did when I flew American Airlines on my way to the mainland in June."

Nadelen: "LAX security is awful. We never left the airport (arrived LAX from Sydney AU) yet were forced thru security again. Had to remove shoes, was scanned and "frisked" by TSA to get to Denver. To go to Australia, Denver TSA waived the removal of shoes, skipped the scan for the metal detector and no one touched me, ditto for LAX on the trip to Sydney. Where's the uniformity or standards for TSA?? Why did I have to be subjected to this garbage on the way home?? This is why I despise flying. It makes no sense to me. This ruined what was a great vacation."

Waited in line to check-in untl 7:23 AM Because of long lines at check-in (Russia Day, apparently) and inadequate staffing for the large numbers, I succeeded in getting through passport control and security ten minutes before flight time, only to be told "no Flight" I had to buy another ticket for the next day at a second fare, all because of Aeroflot' s inadequate staffing. Aeroflot service desk only told me to " go back into the city" where I found an Aeroflot office. After meeting three staff members in succession there, they made no effort to make good on their error. I will avoid AEROFLOT on all future travel. Brussels and Amsterdam airports were so much better set up to handle the crowds"

Nadelen: "This time food wasn’t organized well, because in the menu was two dishes, beef stroganoff or some fish, when came our turn to choose, we didn’t have choice, because only the fish was left. Second time was fish(again) and chicken, and also the salad was made from fish too... this time we got lucky, there was a choice because the serving started from our side. The chicken wasn’t good though, And still it is too much fish, and it didn’t taste good. I can compare , because I had other Aeroflot flights, and the food was really good, compare to this one."
Nadelen: "booking this flight was a nightmare. after several calls i was told i can upgrade to a seat with more legroom in economy plus at the airport counter for 12 Euros. it then turned out it cost me $80 for just one leg of the trip, and it wasn't economy plus, but a very narrow seat in an exit row right next to a toilet. The phone customer service was rude, unprofessional, and uninformed."

Nadelen: "The crew had no smile, neither a hospitable attitude. The food in the second meal seemed stale. I did not finish the meal for fear of getting sick. The entertainment system was the slowest I have ever used in my life. The glass holder for my seat was broken. It took me 7-8 times calling assistance that someone finally came, which took at least 40 minutes. And last but not the least there was water dripping on the passenger next to me."
Nadelen: "I haven't flown Aeroflot since early 1990s. Will not fly it again. Boarding was a mess. Then sat on the plane for almost 2 hours. Don't even try their food. Legroom in economy worse than on US flights. Touchscreen didn't work. And, they left ALL the luggage in LAX. Spent 4 hours in SVO filling out papers for the lost/delayed luggage."

Later when I was walking around to stretch my legs, I saw there were AT LEAST 10 seats open in the next cabin. Why lie? The entertainment system touch-screen was not working properly and the headphones kept falling out of my ear."

The food was tasty and on time, the beverages were widely presented from juices to red and white wine or beer...so The time passed quickly"

Nadelen: "This was a BA flight. Food in T3 in toronto was a disgrace, and the whole lounge experience was poor. The sleeping arrangements in business class had no privacy; the food onboard was mediocre. The Air CANADA flight on the same route is far better in every respect."
Nadelen: "The flight was late to Helsinki and we missed our connecting flight to Barcelona that was also on Finnair. I was given a hotel voucher to a nice hotel with a complimentary dinner voucher. The dinner was a buffet that was limited and less than mediocre. A chicken option was not even provided, no soup"

Nadelen: "Endless waiting and lost luggage. Excuse was unpredicted weather conditions. It was snowing in Finland so they had to clear the Ice from the planes.. Snowing in Finland? How uncommon is that during December? I think most of this is poor ground handling In Helsinki."

Nadelen: "All that matters for Finnair is that the flight took off on time... If you make it or not....if you know where to go...why to worry! It is your problem now! We will charge you up to "current" price now!"

Nadelen: "The crew seemed quite stressed, when I asked to store my wedding dress in the crew closet they were very short with me, which made me feel really guilty about it, as the stewardess obviously thought I was very troublesome, but they did allow it. The food was quite bland. The entertainment was much more limited than most international flight lines."

Nadelen: "The 40 min layover between SVO-HEL and HEL-JFK required security check and walking approx. 30-gate distance. It was well organized, but still straining."
Nadelen: "The entertainment kept shutting off, and the crew had to reset it about 5 times. They were very apologetic, and kept trying until finally getting it fixed."

Voordelen: "World best airline since my last flight to Hong Kong. New aircraft with the most confortable and complete flight experience I had in years in economy class. Seat confort, movie selection and quality of the screen, food quality, boarding speed, cabine pressure, all was immaculate."
Nadelen: "They promised an upgrade to premium economy and then they didn't follow through, they lied when they said that row 30 was premium economy, all this felt very very weird. Jacqueline the flight attendant recognised the problem and gave us premium headphones to make up for the error."
Voordelen: "Very simple but reliable and confortable flight. We got clear instructions to get to the next terminal"
Nadelen: "We took off late and arrived even later so we had to run to get to the next plane"

Voordelen: "IT WAS THE MOST ENJOYABLE BUSINESS CLASS FLIGHT I EVER HAD. THANKS FOR THE HOSPITALTY AND SERVICE."
Voordelen: "The Airbus 330 is an improvement over the Boeing 737 that took me to Europe (via Milan) on this trip. Unlike that flight, this plane is equipped with an updated on demand entertainment system. I attribute the upgraded airplane to the fact that this was a direct flight from HEL to JFK. Still no wifi though... Their magazine says it's coming. Upgrading to Economy Comfort is worth the fee especially if you get a bulkhead seat. Otherwise you are still pretty crammed in with maybe 6" more leg room. But the bulkhead seats are set well back from the wall to give my long legs plenty of room to stretch and get in and out of my seat. My friends in Economy looked miserable :( The chili con carne with rice was an improvement over other airline meals but still room for improvement - mostly in presentation I guess. Lingonberry 'salad' though a bit sour for me, was a nice Finnish dish to sample. Like the cheese and crackers. Departed and arrived on time. Liked the flight tracking that showed you very detailed what you were passing over and even gave us a bit of info and photos about highlights of each region flown over. Nice touch."
Nadelen: "This plane was such an improvement over the "bucket" that flew me to Europe that it has restored my faith in Finnair as a valid carrier for my yearly trip to Europe - like I said, probably because it is a direct flight to New York rather than connecting to another European (not Scandanavian) city like Milan. I would probably not use Finnair to access other parts of Europe for this reason. (On the departure end, the regional Finnair flight from Milan to Helsinki was also sub-standard.) I do think the check-in procedure is still cumbersome - self check in with bag check, though started at kiosks, still results in a long line just to hand off your bag to a counter agent. A few more agents would likely solve that problem... But it was better than going the other way - JFK was a nightmare! Helsinki only slightly better."

Nadelen: "Check in line was terrible, I had checked in online but still waited over a hour to bag drop, service was not great either the flight attendants were not happy at thier job.."

Nadelen: "We waited 3 hours to fix a water problem on the tarmack and were seated in the middle of a large group of school kids. Would have been happier without those 2 elements."
Voordelen: "I loved the service. The flight attendants were attentive and courteous. They walked through the cabin periodically to offer water in the 6 hours or so between meal services, and also had self-service drinks and snacks in the galley during that time. Flight attendants asked passengers to put their seats forward during meal times, which very few airlines do. It was the same level of service I have come to expect from the Asian carriers that I usually fly (ANA, Japan Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Singapore). The meals were fine, and so was the entertainment. There was a decent choice of movies."
Nadelen: "The economy seats were narrow and cramped on the A340. I was in the first row of economy that wasn't premium economy. Even though the person in front of me had loads more legroom than me, he had his seat all the way back for almost the entire flight and hit me in the head while I was reaching for my bag under the seat in front of me. In order to get to anything in my bag, I had to put my head into the aisle because there wasn't enough room to bend down. Because of the angle of the seats, it was nearly impossible to get into and out of the row (and I was on the aisle)."
Nadelen: "I sat in the window seat. Trying to get out of the row is very difficult. The arm rests do not rise high enough to get around without needing to climb over them."
Voordelen: "Food on into fight inedible..No Food on domestic. Charge for everything."
Voordelen: "Pretty quick to get on board, entertainment was great, seat comfort was good., wifi and prices were stupidly over priced and slow.,"
Nadelen: "American Airlines as usual has overly priced non-working wifi on a 10.5 hour trip.. He food was ok at best.."

Nadelen: "Don't understand why they do not open to get the seat until 36 hours ago. Our family of 4 got scattered all over; the agent was not at all helpful -- they seemed bitter about their working condition and the fact that they had to deal with dissatisfied customers. I talked to the supervisor and we were finally able to sit together just because a party of 4 did not show up. I am not at all happy with the AA for their stupid rule."
Voordelen: "Flight was 2 hours late taking off. Completely ruined plans we had made for our first day in London"
Voordelen: "Best price from Dallas to Barcelona, and then Madrid to Dallas."
Voordelen: "The flight attendants actually seemed to enjoy their jobs, they all were very nice and smiled not like other airlines where the attendants are very stiff and anything you ask for seemed to annoy them. Drinks sizes more generous than most airlines."

Voordelen: "Travelled on B A Air Bus. I found it to be comfortable compared to previous flights operated by other airlines. Crew was excellent Overall it was a very good experience."
Nadelen: "The food - well it's airline food - ok but nothing exceptional."
Voordelen: "Crew was accommodating, entertainment movies was good and food/snacks was not bad for transatlantic flight from NY to Paris. Seats are cramped, but it is expected."
Nadelen: "Didn't appreciate the additional charge to select basic seats (not upgraded), not sure if justfly.com is affiliated with Kayak. I found it absurd but read reviews that if you don't select seats you might get bumped off your flight if it's oversold. I didn't take any chances so I paid the additional $29 and yet both my fiancee and I sat way apart. Arriving at the airport to check in, I saw options to select seats which made me upset even though there was nothing next to each other but way more options than online."
Nadelen: "Opodo messed up my booking. I reached the airport only to find out that the booking was cancelled by Opodo though I received an email from Opodo 24 hours before advising me to check in on the flight. As I was busy with some construction work at home I thought I would check in at the airport. Opodo advisors were not helpful on the phone and I ended up missing a family get together due to their incompatibility."
Nadelen: "Seats were very close and movies ok"

Voordelen: "There wasn't anything special about this flight to like, unless you like leaving late and no leg room."
Nadelen: "Try leaving on time for once, I nearly missed my connection because Aer Lingus is terrible at on time departures. I'm just under 2 meters tall, the seats were so tiny my knees were pressed into to the seat in front of me the entire trip."

Nadelen: "Told us to pick up stroller in Dublin. Get there and we are told that is not possible. Of course we not have arrived at our final destination without said stroller. Seats are on the pitiful side of the spectrum and gets a bit old being nickled and dimed for drinks, sodas, food. . ."

Nadelen: "Layover at Dublin. The flight left 45 minute late and we missed our flight to Madrid. We had to rebook from Dublin to Madrid. And we will be arriving late to Madrid where all our activities will not be valid due to arriving late."

Nadelen: "The flight was delayed for 6 hours due to a mechanical problem. For 6 hours the passengers were told little or nothing & were eventually given a voucher for $10 to redeem on plane. Mechanical problems can of course occur,but how the airline,Aer Lingus,dealt with this was appalling."
Voordelen: "The pretzels."
Nadelen: "The customer service from Aer Lingus is the worst ever. This is our honeymoon and it got ruined. The flight was 3 hrs delayed, and they started rerouting people that had connection flights to London, we had a connection and randomly Wendy the service agent decide to not reroute us because we had plenty of time, of course we didn’t make the flight, we have been hostages of Aer Lingus for the last 21 hrs so far, but more will be added until we make it to Hamburg tomorrow at noon instead of tonight at 8."

Nadelen: "I did not like how early I had to go through US preclearance before my flight...2 hours is ridiculous to have to wait at gate!"
Nadelen: "- My seat was broken and could not recline. This not only made the 9 hour flight uncomfortable, but even more so when the person in front of me reclined their seat fully. - I understand it's Aer Lingus' policy, but I have never experienced--in my many travels--paying for alcohol on an international flight, especially cash only. - Regarding the above, I had to remind the flight attendant three times that she owed me change, and each time I was greeted with a sneer and, "Yea, we don't have it yet". It was not so much the money, but the incredibly rude service and charging for what should be a free drink! Some of the stewards (on the opposite side of the aisle) seemed very friendly and accommodating, but unfortunately, the two ladies on my side made me feel like a burden rather than a welcomed customer. - I guess it's, you get what you pay for...but I was just surprised at "breakfast" being tossed a box with a burrito--no napkin, utensils, plate, nothing. I won't be flying Aer Lingus again."

Nadelen: "Food was awful. Worst Ive ever had in around 200k miles of flying. Food service was rushed. i.e they asked me if I wanted coofee or tea immediately after serving my main meal. My son was feeling unwell due to asthma and asked for water. He got a lesson in manners and etiquette as he didn’t say please. I asked another female staff gor water. She didn’t respond so I waited a few minutes before askinfg again. She snapped ‘ I heard you!’ Made me feel uncomfortable asking for anything and that I was a nuisance. Seemed they could hardly wait to serve dinner and turn the lights off. I’ll be taking my own food on the return flight. I’m not expecting gourmet on an airline however this food was inedible"

Nadelen: "The flight has an hour delay from LAX that caused me to have 20 minuets catch my connection flight and I did not receive my bag. I’m on vacation for 5 days in Hamburg and I’ve already lost 1 day to go out and explore the city. This was my first time flying with Aer Lingus and I unfortunately will be my last time."
Voordelen: "TVs on seat-backs, good selection of movies and television, USB charging outlet on seat-backs"
Nadelen: "Every seat came with useless headphone sets: the jacks were for an older model of plane. Flight attendants warned passengers that they had some headsets that would work, but were keeping them reserved for children, so not to bother asking for them. Flight took off more than 3 hours late and airline took no responsibility for delays. Blamed LAX contractors for everything. The airline is responsible for who they do business with. Because of takeoff delays, food and beverage service was also badly delayed. Had to beg for water several hours in, and was brought a single small cup."
Voordelen: "The staff was all very professional and the flights themselves were all really quite nice."
Nadelen: "In short, I was surprised to find myself on Aer Lingus as every travel doc and app had me on British Airways. Apps can’t handle international check in or multiple flights. There’s no point having an app or a website option of checking in if you can’t accommodate this service."

Nadelen: "Our flight from LA to Dublin was cancelled day of and the airline put us on another flight. We came to find out that they did not place my fiancee and myself together. We tried talking to the crew but they seemed apathetic and uninterested in helping us. The said the flight was full and everyone checked in but after boarding we found many open seats.. while on the plane I requested help trying to relocate seats so we could sit together and not a single steward would help us. In the end, we finally found seats on our own... Very unhappy throughout the entire journey the quality of service. Never flown with such rude and unaccomadating service personal."
Voordelen: "The flight attendants were lovely... what was wrong with this plane was not their fault and they did their best."
Nadelen: "Not only was my seat cushion lumpy and extraordinarily uncomfortable, the seat back was broken. My video monitor was as well... Possibly the worst overseas flight I've ever taken...10 hours of pure torture. Never again."
Voordelen: "Crew was attentive and efficient. The flight was smooth aside from the minor turbulence."
Nadelen: "I sat in a seat with a broken entertainment screen and the WiFi was so slow it was unusable. The seat I sat in also would recline on its own at times. It made for a very long annoying and boring flight."
Nadelen: "Paying for coffee??"
Voordelen: "The flight was very bare bones. Entertainment system froze up half way into a movie. You had to pay for wine with dinner. Even on budget carriers, wine is included with meals on the long hauls. Half a cup of water was served twice during the flight. The cabin was kept quite cold. I wore thick socks and slippers throughout the flight, but had to use the small blanket provided to keep my feet warm. Glad I had a heavy coat! I will avoid this carrier on any long hauls in the future."
Nadelen: "Dinner not too good. Breakfast very poor. Cold flight. Entertainment not working. Avoid for long hauls."
Voordelen: "The staff was very courteous and nice. The dinner and breakfast were good quality. Highly recommend Aer Lingus"
Nadelen: "We had a crying baby behind us and the parents didn't do anything to alleviate the situation"
Voordelen: "The Dublin to Manchester leg of the flight was far friendlier. Food was bad. No service to speak of on transatlantic potion. Couldn’t even get a refill on coffee after one tiny cup at breakfast."
Voordelen: "I was surprised at the minimal effort that went into that transatlantic flight. Disgraceful. I'm turned off enough to never fly aer lingus again. It was barely two steps above Ryan Air."
Nadelen: "The food looked like one put any effort into it, the coffee only came with milk and no milk substitute, there was only one kind of tea--no decaf and no herbal tea, and no butter substitute for people with dietary restrictions. Just a complete unthoughtful shame. My back is still sore from the lack of ergonomic considerations in seating. The blankets were cheap and thin and the plane was loud with no complimentary earplugs or sleep masks. Awful experience."

Nous sommes restés plus de 24 h dans cet aéroport sans que nous soit proposé un hôtel. on nous a donné une couverture et un oreillé!!d'autre ont pu etre rebooké sur d'autre vols sur NY ou chicago le matin meme. Nous avons perdu une journée de travail mon époux et moi-meme. Lui a du annuler une formation impliquant 10 personnes qui venait de toute la France."
