The web check-in line moved slower than the line with passengers who had not done online check-in. When I booked my flight via kayak, I was not given an option to select seats (this was new) . I was able to indicate my seat preference but there was no followup. When I checked in online 24 hours before my flight, the only option for seats was in the middle, which I did not want, although I I knew the flight would not be full. I was able to change seats when I checked in with the agent in the airport ."

My seat ate who was a stranger to me got messily sick and the attendant was gracious and helpful to her. Also the meal from Abu Dhabi to Bengaluru was the most delicious I've ever had on any flight, which includes some international first class travel."

Nadelen: "-my longest flight was completely full and I was sitting between 2 good size men which was just not comfortable. -I asked if I can a seat swap but crew seems to not care much about it. -No snacks in between for a change. I asked for something to munch but there is nothing which they can offer. finally I had to ask for a fruit or something. I am sure nuts, crackers is something they will have on the flight. - they don't give out socks or toohbrush/paste or anything like that. no eye pad incase if you want to sleep peacefully. -crew was very frin"

Nadelen: "My complain is more for the ticketing and not the entire flight. Never got a chance to fly with as I missed my flight. The ticketing guys did not help or seem to be interested in helping me find anoyher flight. All as I was concerned my missing of the flight was taken as a gain for the to make more profit with this situation. The people I called to talk to were so rude and sometime even hang up the phone on me.. They ended up cancel my return flight too even though it’s suppose to be 1 month from now. They did not care if anything went okay with me, they kicked me out of their space. I ended up spending $2000 to book another flight. For this reason I hate this airline and I would never ever recommend it to anybody which I know they wouldn’t care because they will still make money but im gonna warn everybody I know to stay away from this airline"

Nadelen: "While going Airport staff was not at all good at Chicago airport. I had a carry on bag, which I had been using in all other airlines as carry on for last couple of years and never was told that the size is not right. I was asked to either check in carry on as extra baggage and pay $300 or put my carry on stuff in my other checked in baggage and pay extra for over limit $120. And I have to trash my carry on of $80 value. I was not at all happy. I noticed in the flight so many passengers have the same size carry on, which I have to trash. On my return journey from Delhi to Abu Dhabi I was talking to a woman in the security line, who was sharing the same experience and she told me that they charge her $400 for one extra suitcase. To me that was shocking as how come I was asked $300 for extra checked in bag and she was charged $400. No idea what kind of policies Etihad has for extra baggage. I would like Etihad management to pay attention to the airport staff dealings with customers."

Voordelen: "Stunning level of service. It feels like what U.S. Airlines were like when you traveled in the 1950's-60's. They pamper you and really seem to care about your flight experience. Food was excellent. I will try my best to only fly this airline from now on for overseas flights."
Nadelen: "Not much to say about what I didn't like. My only negative experience was waiting almost an hour for baggage upon return in Toronto. I almost missed my shuttle back to home . Entire luggage experience was very disorganized and pathetic, I blame that on AerLingus, which is owned by Etihad."
Nadelen: "The seats on the 777-333 model in economy class are the WORST I have ever experienced. Extensive neck and back paid from cramped and poorly designed seats. You are going to start losing passengers, including this one who will switch airlines. A glass of wine was so cheap and acidic I found myself running to the bathroom within 15 minutes. The food was horrible. Goodbye Etihad--I can do better."
Nadelen: "Our connection from NYC was missed due to delay in leaving Abu Dhabi. The NYC connection wasn't request to wait for us, maybe five minutes would have been enough. After that, they took no care to book in a latter flight. They assigned unconfirmed tickets, which were not honored in the other terminals. I was able to get a seat in the third flight after, others were still left waiting. It took us longer to get a 1.5 hours connecting flight than to cross the Atlantic."

Nadelen: "1. After the Baggage items were weighed & slips were attached, they had to be handled by us and the Staff was very uncooperative. Actually one passenger ahead of us complained that why he had to take his Baggage items to the conveyor. As I understood, it is responsibility of the Etihad Air lines Staff to handle & take care of Baggage items after airline stickers are printed & applied/ attached on them. Counter clerks were not cooperative & cordial at all. 2. Food was OK except the Breakfast or meal before arrival at Abu Dhabi."
