Nous avons fait la queue pour l’embarquement pendant de longues minutes. Au moment de passer, on nous dit que nos passeports doivent être vérifiés. Obligation de suivre une autre queue. L’hôtesse nous demande notre test Covid alors qu’il n’y en n’a pas besoin pour revenir en France. Une fois les passeports vérifiés, on nous demande de retourner à la fin de la première queue…donc très long !

Amélioration: le check in sur ordinateur deux jours avant qui prendr trop de temps et ne fonctionnait pas. (Près de 4 heures dd mon temps ! Entre les essais multiples et amples téléphoniques) make it simpler.

Des casques anti bruits pourraient être transmis si les conditions de voyage deviennent difficiles : les pleurs et les cris d’enfants durant tout le trajet et ce quasi sans interruption ont rendus le vol très désagréable . Vol choisi à l’initial car etant un vol de nuit et cela permettait d’avoir un peu de calme. Le personnel était sympathique et avait des bases en français ce qui était agréable. Ce qui n’était pas réellement le cas pour le vol aller . En vous remerciant,
L’embarquement s’est déroulé facilement. L’équipage manquait un peu de disponibilité

Je suis un Franco Americain de 63 ans residant aux US depuis 38+ ans. Apparement mon retour vers Miami a ete booké sans baggage !!!??? De toute evidence une grossiere et innacceptable erreur !!! Comment puis rentrer chez moi sans bagagge ??? Imaginez ma surprise quand Air France m'a informé au "checkin" que mon billet de retOur n'incluait pas un baggage et a refusé de me laisser embarquer avec ma valise de 21 kilos si je ne payais pas un " suplement de €60. A €960+ ce billet ne qualifie pas particulierement de billet "discount"!!!??? Pour compliquer les choses encore un peu plus suite a un traumatisant vol de picpokets dans le metro parisien qq jours avant mon retour je n'avais plus de carte bancaire. Depuis presque 40 ans de voyages entre mes 2 pays je n'ai jamais eu une experience plus desagreable et humiliante dans un aeroport. De retour en Floride a la maison je suis stressé triste humilié et terriblement deçu par ce dernier jour dans ma ville lumiere de naissance.

Voordelen: "The crew were great! The seats are not that comfortable, it happened that I had 3 seats raw for myself but the armrests were not going up so I could not utilize them and lie down to sleep."
Nadelen: "The only complaint I had was that it was very warm on the flight (and I usually get cold on flights), and in the seats we had there weren't fans above the seats. A few rows up they had fans, so apparently you have to pay extra for air... This wouldn't be a big deal on a short domestic flight, but for an international flight it was a long time to be uncomfortable!"

My poor rating was because the luggage handling was really poor. Lots of flights from Paris to Amsterdam (almost hourly), but my bag showed up 12 hours later. My wife's bag took 36 hours. And yes, we checked in together. There were lots of confusing messages"

DFW to MN, St Paul to Schipole, Amsterdam to final destination, Glasgow. So he ends up having to pay for another Lyft back to our apartment in Dallas, then another additional one for the 12 noon flight the next morning. If he didn't have family living in Dallas, he would've incurred a hotel fee too."
Nadelen: "He was bumped to the next day due to his flight being cancelled. Then re-booked the next day, with an additional layover. Then due to a 32 minute layover that left 3 minutes sooner..."
Voordelen: "On both of my flights to New York City, I was amazed at how friendly and helpful the flight attendants were to the passengers. On my short flight from Basel to Amsterdam, a young French speaking girl was concerned about how to manage getting to her next gate. The flight attendants talked to her and arranged for someone to take her there. On my longer flight from Amsterdam to New York City, there was a customer who was in distress about missing a previous flight and not making it to her connecting flight in New York. One of the flight attendants reassured her until she stopped crying and calmed down. That same flight attendant was always so positive and cheerful in all she did. The rest of the crew was top notch. This was my best experience flying in such a long time. Well done, KLM crews of flights 1984 and 0645 on July 10!"

I still didn't make my connection flight due to the delay and SAS rebooked me which made my already long trip 8 hrs longer."

Nadelen: "I missed the refreshments, if any were served at all. Granted I was tired and probably dosed off during that part of the flight."
Nadelen: "Flight delayed so that would not be able to make the SAS flight. Therefore had to switch flights to go to CHicago instead. But initial flight was booked under alaska--but boarding pass unable to be printed from any of the kiosks and we were told to talk to American. American didn't know anything about it. THen stood in Assistance line for 45 minutes to be told that we needed to talk to VIrgin American. They rebooked us on to American, which then promptly was also delayed for several hours, and we thereby missed our connection. Throughout the process there were no customer service representatives either in person or on the phone who were remotely helpful. Overall, worst travel experience of my life."
Nadelen: "This is our third delay with this airline on this trip and all they will do is send you to their service center which in Copenhagen is located so far from the gates it's a joke. Once again they are doing their best to discourage any interaction with their customers."
Voordelen: "Quick, painless boarding process with friendly cabin staff and above average food. Flight was delayed about 15 minutes by a maintenance paperwork (according to the announcement) issue. Not fully booked, so very relaxing atmosphere onboard."
Voordelen: "Crew taking care of us was excellent."
Nadelen: "Food terrible. Our seats in Plus were in bad condition, they move us that also were in bad condition, hey you are paying Plus to have good seats!"

Voordelen: "The flight from Newark to Stockholm was late, so I was late for the flight to Vilnius,had to recheck-in and wait for 6 hours."
Nadelen: "A very dishonest experience. The booking never made it clear that I was not allowed to check my suitcase and I had to pay € 70 extra both coming and going and thereby paid 1 1/2 times more for my suitcase than for my ticket. I am very disappointed to be 'tricked' in this way and consider it a very dishonest business practice."
Voordelen: "The cleanliness"
Nadelen: "I Had checked several times to make sure I had 2 bags included ( standard for US-EU flights) and every time. At the airport I had to pay an extra charge for my second bag which made the flight very expensive and just ruined the whole experience for me"

Voordelen: "The non stop to Copenhagen from San Francisco was excellent. We departed on time, arrived on time.The seats in coach were much more comfortable than other airlines. I will fly SAS again."
Nadelen: "I think if there were a few choices for the dinner service I would have been happy."

Nadelen: "Delayed flights, microphone is too fuzzy, hard to understand. Also why couldn't we get 2 or more sodas.. Crazy! The Asian airlines beat you! Very expensive stuff like a small red bottle of wine was like almost $15! Nuts... Very disappointed.. It should be free for the money we pay! Also staff just let people leave their windows open which was crazy coz most passengers are tired from other trips and of course in Europe you can hardly see anyone letting the elderly and children have any first priority boarding or let alone line up. I had my disabled husband and a young active little grandchild... Cathay Pacific, PAL,KAL, CAL are great about priority boarding for the elderly and children. Its sad your company do not have compassion or empathy for families with little children and the elderly population.. They really suffer!"
Voordelen: "I arrived alive...."
Nadelen: "Lost my luggage... can't even track it or give me any sense where it is or if it will be returned. My vacation is ruined and I have to wait 3 weeks before I can request minimal compensation. I'm frustrated and angry, and get little help. Everyone is sorry... but no answers. Never will fly SAS again"
Voordelen: "Entertainment system is very good - like 100 movies on demand even games available."
Nadelen: "Economy seats had little leg room; weren't offered a choice of entrees Make sure you call ahead if you need vegetarian meals."
Nadelen: "60euros for the first checked-in bag??? Ridiculous."
Voordelen: "I tried to check in a 30 lbs suitcase. There was no gate and they asked me to carry the check in plus my carry on down the steps to the airplane on the field. I had to refuse and then one of them carried the checkin down the steps."
Nadelen: "Not much. Bumpy flight. Lousy coffee."

Voordelen: "Iceland Air has a great option for a stop-off in Iceland. We took advantage of that and spend q days there exploring. Beautiful place, lots of geothermal geysers and the like... the Blue Lagoon was a treat and a great way to end a long travel day. Their planes are aging but decent. Most are 757-200"
Nadelen: "Like many airlines IA has got the way of ala cartel fare. Luggage, food, drinks are all added cost. I mean EVERYONE has some luggage going overseas! The seats in coach are super tight with no legroom for a 6’1" or larger guy.. not fun by hour 6. Flight attendants we courteous but seem gruff/ unhappy"

Nadelen: "We boarded late which seems to be the norm for Iceland air. Usually when an airline is a few minutes late departing they try and explain why and then make up the time, but we received no explanation for the late boarding, or the even later departure, or for why we lost even more time in the air."
Voordelen: "Good basic service and ontime flights. No real frills but very adequate."

Nadelen: "that after a flight to frankfurt and no problem wthj my luggage on board when we left frankfurt to go back to boston it was all of a sudden a problem with my onboard case , which was not handled very well , they were nice but i felt singled out and worried about my luggage being left behind , but it all went smooth after all"
Nadelen: "All the hidden charges. My good deal turned out to be worst deal EVER. I paid extra for my my seat and got bump from my seat to a middle seat. Icelandair attitude suck about the whole thing too and could careless too. After this I don't even want to go to Iceland or have the Kayak app on my phone. Kayak and Icelandair, will do everything to let everyone know how miserable you made my vacation."

Nadelen: "Waiting area at KCI was extremely disappointing, containing only restrooms & water fountains. No food available to purchase after going through security. Baggage check-in area was within the American Airlines area and was practically invisible. I missed it and had to walk back to check my bag. Found out after going through full Security measures that Icelandair does not participate in TSA Pre-Check I didn't know that airlines could not to participate in TSA Pre-Check. I did not know that no meals were included in the flight. The meals you could buy were very expensive and very small. After waiting 2 hours to board and being on a 7 hour flight, I was very hungry. Glad I took a few Oreo cookies. The airport at Reykjavik was an absolute zoo, totally disorganized. People were in very long lines and many of them sitting on the floor. I will not fly Icelandair again."

Nadelen: "No organization for how to line up to board. Got through a line, went to another waiting area, and than another line to the plane."
Voordelen: "The crew were all terrific!! The plane was clean & comfortable. It was great to have movies, music, etc. included for no extra charge. This was my first time to fly Icelandair & I will choose this airline again. Much better than all other major airlines I have traveled with & Would like to see more routes added."
Nadelen: "Would really appreciate an included evening meal on a flight from MCI Kansas City to Reykjavik. The choices of meals for purchase were quite limited & fairly good, but not excellent."

Nadelen: "La barrière de départ n’a pas été indiquée sur les écrans électroniques, et comme nous nous étions enregistrés en ligne et que nous attendions au salon où les vols ne sont pas annoncés, nous sommes arrivés tard à l’embarquement et avons presque manqué notre vol. À bord, le personnel a fait le nécessaire mais pas plus, service peu chaleureux et minimaliste. Le débarquement s’est fait avec une navette, comme à Mirabel dans le temps, et comme il n’y avait qu’une seule navette à la porte arrière, le processus a êté laborieux."
Nadelen: "Ended up with a long layover I couldn't change after hours on the phone with your people."
Nadelen: "I missed my flight because my flight into Chicago was delayed by 3 hours. I called Icelandairs customer service 7 hours before I missed my flight and told them the situation and they gave me the wrong information and gate number. Once I arrived in Chicago I couldn’t find anyone to help me at the airport and I was brushed off multiple times. After staying on hold all night long with icelandairs customer service I was hung up on. I ended up buying a completely new ticket and still haven’t been able to talk to a representative about it."
Voordelen: "I was upgraded to saga class."
Nadelen: "I was upgraded to saga class but still no free wifi. I missed my connecting flight because Iceland air was delayed. Not impressed. Hoping to get my flight I had to re book paid for."
Nadelen: "Overhead bins too shallow. Seating cramped."
Voordelen: "Smooth flight, on time"
Nadelen: "Unable to pay baggage fees online on check in, resulting in $69 fee for first bag. They said if you book through a third party like Kayak, you can't pay for bags online. But that's not written anywhere on their website. Bag fees are vague. I felt tricked"
Nadelen: "We had an 8 hour delay and only learned of the delay when we arrived at the airport."

Voordelen: "The flight was great! Entertainment great! The staff try to make you comfortable with blankets and pillows!"
Nadelen: "Line-up to board was like a cattle round up. And why do they announce everything first in Icelandic? The 3 people on board from Iceland probably speak English anyway."
Voordelen: "More relaxed travelling experience that with many other airlines. From check-in right through transfers and to arrival my experience was very positive. Staff were friendly and helpful. There weren't any real occasions where I needed something changed or sorted, which shows that the pre-work was excellent and works. Thank you."

Nadelen: "This was an international flight of 6 hours, food had to be purchased. I was not aware of this when I booked the flight. I could have bought food in the airport had I known. As a courtesy, couldn't they remind us of this fact at the gate? In addition my seat was changed at the gate from the 20th row to the 37th which is always so noisy, again, not appreciated."

Nadelen: "Boarding was a mess. We were delayed, but boarding took FOREVER. They called out a group to board, but everyone was crowded by the gate and didn't move, so nobody knew if people were on line or not. Simple things like an announcement to ask people to move aside, boarding groups posted on screen or just any sense of hurry would've been a logical response."
Nadelen: "Too bad that there is no food included in the flights. We bought sandwiches, and they were worth it though :)"

Now we are in town for 16 hours and are flying to Sweden with an hour layover then to Geneva. Have bee assured there is plenty of time to make the connection. Let's just say I am skeptical."
