Voordelen: "I bought a ticket for three persons: my wife, my daughtet and me. I am Nigerian, my daughter American, and my wife's Turkish. However, because of the diplomatic row between Turkey and the U.S., my daughter was refused entry into Turkey. Turkish airlines' policy was to refund the ticket of any American caught in this row. They said they will refund my one month old daughter's ticket. However, my wife and i will not receive a refund. We bought the three tickets together. Our ticket numbers ended in 235...51, 235...52, and 235...53. However, they will not refund our whole money by cancelling the ticket but only that of my daughter. So this is the question: Does Turkish airline want me to leave my one-month old baby in the U.S. and tavel with my wife to Turkey? What kind of parents will we be if we were to abandon our daughter to take a trip to Turkey. Even, the people in Turkish airlines will judge us evil parents, yet that was exactly the only option they gave us. Lose your daughter or lose your ticket money. They will not even just change our iternary or give us another destination we suggested without penalties which are almost 3/4 of our initial ticket price. They just made away with our money. You cannot say, 'We are cancelling tickets for American citizens' but make no exception for parents of infant citizens. This is the height of criminality. So, me and my family couldn't take the flight and lost $1500. We had to buy another ticket by airfloat to get to Georgia. But Turkish airlines refused to even contact us on the refund for my daughter. A truly criminal enterprise."
Nadelen: "They had a vague refund policy for Americans, forgetting that American infants can also have none-American parents who are as much victims in this as the American infant. For them to be myopic and keep repeating talking points of their refund policy is unfortunate to say the least."

Finally, someone at the airport helped in re-booking our flights but I have yet to have anyone give me an answer regarding compensation! In addition, we are traveling with an infant which isn't easy but we had the bassinet seat on our original flight. Now it's sold out for the flight tomorrow and no one will assist in trying to help get us better seats. I understand things are out of your companies control but being in an airport with an 18-month baby isn't easy and no one in this company has made this crazy travel schedule easier. I would like someone to call me back or email me with something that could maybe be done to help us! No one at the call center will help!"

Voordelen: "Although our flight was delayed approximately 30 minutes, the gate agent in Prague was reassuring that we would make our connection in Munich, which we did. There were regular updates/announcements posted regarding the delay."

Nadelen: "The fact that noone could do anything about making me more comfortable during the flight that was 8 + hours. More than 8 hours the seat in the front of me was literally in my face. When the first snacks and drinks were served I asked the flight attendant to ask the person in the front of me to give me some space. She did and the seat was back in normal position. After few minutes back to my face. When the food arrived the tray was touching my stomach. This time I touched the person’s arm and asked to give me some space to eat. Unhappy reaction from the other side, moved, but not for long. After I was done eating, I went and found flight attendant asking for different seat. She told me to look around. The flight was packed and I could not see any empty seats. Now I was even more disappointed. Getting ready to contact Lufthansa, that we use a lot in our travels and really love them. Also my American Express card will be notified. I do want refund for this flight only. It would be utopia at this point to find the person’s name and do research on his behavior on previous flights. At this point I am 100% sure that I am not the first person whose flight was unpleasant due to this person’s behavior. Using the word rude might be inappropriate, but so selfish and inconsiderate would be the right description."
Nadelen: "Several hours prior to my trip from Philadelphia to Rome, via Frankfurt, I received an e-mail saying my flight was cancelled. I called and a Lufthansa representative said there was an available seat on an American flight leaving several hours later. But, I had to call American and then book my flight on-line. Lufthansa did transfer my money to American, but I had to pay an additional $30 something. I had paid for extra legroom and for a diabetic meal, but due to the last minute change, American was not able to accommodate my requests. I was scheduled to fly out of Florence with a layover in Frankfurt, then on to Philadelphia. I left my hotel at 2:30 am to get to the airport, only to find out my flights had been cancelled and I was rebooked for a flight several hours later on Air France. I then went to Paris and then switched planes and landed in DC. I missed my connecting flight on United because of the time to get my luggage and then re-check the bag, plus go tot he counter to get my ticket. The next flight was hours later. As a result, I didn't home till early the next day. I also did not have a diabetic meal and I had no leg room that I had paid Lufthansa for. Lufthansa did refund my $100+ for the extra legroom for my flight to Italy, but as of a week later, they have not refunded my $100+ for the return flight. Due to this fiasco, I will never book on Lufthansa again! Also, I think friends and family will re-think their options when booking flights and not consider Lufthansa anymore."

My poor rating was because the luggage handling was really poor. Lots of flights from Paris to Amsterdam (almost hourly), but my bag showed up 12 hours later. My wife's bag took 36 hours. And yes, we checked in together. There were lots of confusing messages"

Bonus points for the Beemster cheese sandwich (I was totally disappointed when they served the food, but more than pleasantly surprised by the quality of the cheese - I even bought some afterwards, from the Albert Heijn just outside the security area)."

Passengers were divided in 5 lanes, depending on their seating area withing the plane (for a more efficient boarding, I presume) but, by the time we all got to the actual aircraft, we formed another queue in the boarding bridge so it didn't feel like any time was saved or anything."

No priority was given to family with children or elite members. Even when we complaint at the personnel we were told that “it was busy”. Usually KLM flight from Venice depart from the first floor where gates are bigger and you get straight with the finger to the airplane. Today it hasn’t been the case .... too poor service for a KLM fight"

Pas de nettoyage des toilettes pendant les 12heures de vol. Les hôtesses étaient trop occupées à papoter à l’arrière de l’avion. En tant de covid c’est inadmissible. Je ne recommande pas cette compagnie et ne la prendrais plus jamais !"

Voordelen: "Seats we re super comfortable, better than BA or Swiss for example. Food and drink excellent, gain better than Swiss or Ba, not to say US carriers who are on a league of their own (worse). Flight arrived early."

Nadelen: "I had ordered a gluten free meal but in the chaos of my seat moving multiple times, it got lost in the shuffle so I wasn't able to eat much of the food that was served. I have long legs and the seat provided almost no where for them to go. I was very uncomfortable by the end of the flight."

Nadelen: "The crew was not good at all. there was no water service, one had to go to the kitchen and beg for water. in particular the male crew was not happy to help with anything. the snack before landing was served 45 mins before arrival so everything had to be rushed. Crew soiled a half empty can of soda on me, and didn't even apologize. Our luggage missed the flight to MIA and we were told it would be delivered to our house the next day between 7pm and 8pm. it never showed. I called customer service and they could not tell me anything. Horrible experience"

Nadelen: "Like everyone says, you are cattle jammed in a sardine can. Barely any leg room and I’m 5’3. Other thoughts: the plane was old, my seat had a lump in it, zero entertainment, food was over priced. (3 Euro for a tiny water). This may seem petty but ultimately the appearance and function of the plane represents their company as a whole. From my first impressions, I’m thinking as a passenger is: I just hope the age and appearance of the plane isn’t reflective of their repairs and maintenance work as well."
Nadelen: "My flight was cancelled and I had to wait in the Madrid airport for seven hours before getting a new flight and retrieving my luggage (five for the new booking, 2 for luggage). It's understandable that flights get cancelled due to weather, but the handling of re-accomodations should be much faster. Iberia did not have enough people to handle it and made no effort to bring in more help. Instead, workers were continually leaving. By the end, there were only two people helping the line of dozens of stranded travelers. I was very disappointed."
