Nadelen: "Our first flight was delayed (due to the air graft arriving late), causing us to miss this flight. The Turkish Airline staff informed us that we would have to wait 24 hours, purchase a hotel at our own expense, and acquire a Turkish visa, also at our own expense. When my husband asked to speak to a manager, it took 45 minutes before a staff member offered us another flight that arrived only a few hours later. All other staff members were on their personal cell phones and would not answer our questions. By the time our boarding passes we’re printed (an hour later)we had to run to our gate in order to make our flight. This left us no time to contact our driver who was picking us up and let him know when our next flight was arriving. We’re extremely disappointed in the customer service and appalled at the lack of professionalism."

Nadelen: "We were allowed to choose our seats from SFO to Amsterdam but not for the return flight. I like to be able to choise my seats when I book the flight. Choosing seats 24 hours before is not convenient when traveling for the return trip."

No priority was given to family with children or elite members. Even when we complaint at the personnel we were told that “it was busy”. Usually KLM flight from Venice depart from the first floor where gates are bigger and you get straight with the finger to the airplane. Today it hasn’t been the case .... too poor service for a KLM fight"

Nadelen: "The plane is old style no tv screen in the chairs The Entertainement was so poor & boaring for 11 hours flight! One host crew member (maybe Joe) was changing his shirt in the food area that passengers could see him with his undershirt!"

Nadelen: "I didnt like the crew checked our boarding papers in the plane. It was nonesense. I showed the boarding paper 3 thimes and they want to see one more time."

Aux 2/3 du vol, nous avons eu l’Impression d’être dans un sauna. Atroce ! Alors que d’habitude j’ai toujours froid !"

Voordelen: "We had a 10 hour lay-over in Cairo and EgyptAIr shuttled us to an excellent hotel and provided lunch and dinner - all for free. This was most excellent and so much more pleasant than sitting at the airport!"
Nadelen: "If EgyptAir would distribute a little English sheet how the steps are, where to get the passports back (at the EgyptAir Counter in the main hall at the airport), which lines to go to (we didn't officially immigrate, but still had to go through immigration upon return, which wasn't clear). Maybe a word on legal boundaries of the status in Egypt - EgyptAir had the passport, can we go to the pyramids or not - would be useful, too."

Nadelen: "The flight was delayed for hours in Delhi with no notice, making us spent the night at the airport. The flight was supposed to get to Abidjan around noon, but because of the delay, we missed the connection and the next available flight was the next day which would mean I missed my next flight and a work conference. In Delhi, the Ethiopian Airlines people assured me that it could be worked out in Addis, and that they could change my final destination to get me where I needed to go. However, in Addis, the employees were rude and did not even read the email that the Delhi people sent them. They would not do anything except send me to Abidjan the following day, which was useless since I already had to be in the US by then. The level of service is incredibly poor and disorganized, with many people having to wait for hours to even talk to someone and no information about what needs to be done. In the end, i had to purchase a new ticket to get to my destination. Had I known this was the case in Delhi, and that i would have to purchase a new ticket, I would have done so in Delhi rather than waiting all night and going to Addis. I fly very often and this is both the worse experience and service I’ve ever experienced on a flight, and they weren’t even able to get me to my destination."

Nadelen: "Food was very poor with very limited choices and no entertainment system on this flight"

Nadelen: "Flight delays with no info from staff. Food poorly prepared. No orderly queues - there is aggression with no intervention from staff. There is no need for two security checks when making connections in Addis. Plane loos were all very stinky and dirty. I now remember why I had stopped using ET!"

Voordelen: "Nothing?"
Nadelen: "Lounge seating and services. Boarding. Lots of uncontrollable people trying to be first to board."

Voordelen: "Aircraft very comfortable, superb entertainment system. Crew friendly."
Nadelen: "Crew didn't go out of their way to serve...they did their job capably, but no more."

Voordelen: "The crew practically ignored my request for medical aid. They were not friendly and super occupied. The seats were too uncomfortable."
Nadelen: "The food could have been better and the crew attention and assistance to the passengers."

Voordelen: "The short flight and pleased to get food."
Nadelen: "A very lengthy boarding process and the inevitable delay of an hour. Not good when it's already a late night flight. No entertainment console. Quite cramped"

Nadelen: "flight was cancelled and i only got to know it after traveling first leg of the tip - then got rerouted for next 36 hrs. Now acceptable for both KAYAK and ET Airline"

Voordelen: "I went for my honeymoon but ET never transported my luggage. I had to spend my honeymoon buying very expensive clothes and basic needs in Mauritius instead of relaxing. My luggage never came. I got it on my way back to Bamako. Nobody was even able to even trace my luggage or respond professionally on the phone. Out of hundreds of calls I made to them, they only picked up twice. ET screwed my honeymoon that I had planned for over a year. I'm so dissapointed that I don'y even want to claim reimbursement."
Nadelen: "Office in Bamako and apperently even in Nairobi never picks up the phone ! The only time they picked up (in Nairobi) they were rude!"

Nadelen: "Flight was delayed so many times, without reason given. On arrival in New Delhi, the airline lost my bag. Everything about this experience was really bad."

Voordelen: "Very comfortable airline with enough leg room.The crew were very professional and nice."

Voordelen: "Will never fly this airline again"
Nadelen: "The food was bad and on the second stretch the airline did a stop over in Cairo that was not originally planned and delayed the flight by over 3 hours making me miss my connection flights and forcing me to rebuy tickets since there was no ground staff at Rome that could handle the situation. Made me end up losing 1000 usd in tickets I had to buy. Not the way I'm used to be treated as a business class costumer"

Nadelen: "2 separate incidents. One, a fight between passengers at ththe check in desk that spilled over before staff could resolve incident. Then at security, after immigration, no cues. Minimal staff overseeing the process. No organization. Early"

Nadelen: "Plane didn’t hold, even though I would have made it if they waited 10 minutes, and surely they knew I was coming from a delayed flight caused by Ethiopian and left anyways. Now have to take 3 extra flights and will miss a train at my final destination."

Nadelen: "One of the toilet covers wouldn’t stay up so you had to hold it while going. Paper towels would be nicer than tissue paper. Wasn’t able to use my boarding pass from my phone, waste of paper. Ginger ale would be a nice drink. Didn’t find a list of their drinks in magazine, that would make it easier. Whenever I needed to use the restroom they locked us out a lot whether for head count or re fueling."

Nadelen: "Economy is a bit tight; the bidding process for Cloud Nine (business class) has reduced the chance of passengers being upgraded for free especially as a means to reward frequent flyers, or help passengers with special needs/accommodations."

Nadelen: "The fact that they confirmed that my luggage would make it to my final destination, and now that I arrived in dakar with no luggage it’s no longer there responsability"

Nadelen: "Checkin luggage did not get loaded onto the connecting flights at addis ababa. Had to wait two days for the next flight from addis ababa to gaborone botswana to receive our luggage. The ethiopian air office in gaborne was helpful straighteningbout the situation. I would fly ethiopian air again."

Nadelen: "This plane seemed older not as spacious or as clean as planes on Ethiopian I've traveled on before. Horrible film selections, and it's the same coming and going."

Voordelen: "Food was fantastic for such a short flight. It essentially ticks most of the boxes I would be concerned with for a flight of this length."
Nadelen: "Got an exit row seat so plenty of room but the seat itself is simply uncomfortable."

Nadelen: "Flight from U.S had frequent meals, flight to Ghana had a sandwich and meal, and the time in between the two was extremely long, after been up extremely early to depart. It would also be awesome to have Ethiopian meal option, like injere"

Voordelen: "Outstanding personnel on the ground in Addis Ababa; outstanding crew on the plane from Addis to Kigali"
Nadelen: "The movie screen (attached to the ceiling) was broken and throught the duration of the 2h30 minute flight, mechanically lowered and raised itself nonstop, making a constant disturbing grinding noise"

Voordelen: "New plane."
Nadelen: "Addis airport is always a mess. Security check takes 30 mins+, gates are changed without announcements and there are no display mentioning flight or destination at the gate. For the flight, food not great and service slow."

Voordelen: "Movie during flight and food were good"
Nadelen: "Only showed one movie and then a blank screen for half the flight They waited forever to remove the food trays after being served Delayed at the Terminal for a power outage, but NO announcement made over the Intercom for 30 minutes. Never helped non Egyptians with paperwork necessary to get through customs"

Nadelen: "Ground staff past security at Intl departures were unhelpful and scarce. The gate number on the boarding pass and screen did not coincide. Unlike other airports the screen was not the most recent information. Even when told about the discrpancy and mix up for many passengers, the mistake on the computer was not rectified"
