Emirates did a good job finding me an alternative flight but somehow did not get my bags on my new flight even though the woman at the counter made a special call to "ensure" that my bags would come with me. Now I have to wait over 24h before I can get my bag."
Nadelen: "I watched one movie, but the selection was pretty goo."

I tried to get to the back, the crew dint even move to help us with anything. They sat together and were talking and dint even care to move. I have never seen this amount of careless attitude so far in emirates. Food quality has gone down quite a bit compared to my travel before."

Voordelen: "Staff is very attentive and always around. I am not a fan of instant coffee, but I got a cup of coffee when I asked for one outside of "meal times". The leg room is good, though I could still use a little extra."
Nadelen: "I wish the crew asked all passengers to reset their seat upright when food is served. I am quite tall and having the person in front of me recline is uncomfortable at all times, but while eating, there just isn't very much elbow room. Also the temperature in the cabin is really too cold. The entertainment system uses a two-prong plug for the headset, which requires you to bring an adapter if you want to use your own noise-blocking headset or headphones."

The person printed the wrong boarding passes because they didn't know many details about domestic and international flights. There was also confusion about checking in the luggage between the domestic and international flights. A boarding pass from Dubai to Ahembadvad was not given at the New York airport."

Nadelen: "Had 90 minutes fr connection, 30 min delay so 1 hr left. Had to walk walk and walk for nearly 1 hr to barely make it. Airport is TERRIBLE in terms of going from gate to gate- loong walks with no moving walkways. Train is a joke covering very short distance. Once arrived in Boston, took 1hr before luggage started unloading, and then to find out our 4 bags didn't come at all. Staff on ground not courteous, wouldn't send bags to home town in Raleigh. Had to wait till afternoon to get the bags and then fly to final destination. Entertainment system very bad, audio/video stop and go, stop and go- really terrible (though notice some people's screens were working fine)."

JetBlue does not recognize what my status is with Emirates, the layover was long without a lounge, you can not select your seat on Jet Blue through Emirates (this is a huge irritation!), you can't check in online through Emirates for the Jet Blue return trip, and the seat selection for Jet Blue was awful."
Voordelen: "After a tiring 14 hr stop over in Dubai, I boarded my flight to Boston from Dubai at around 3 in the morning. I don't know when I fell asleep because I did not even wake up for the takeoff. The crew let me be and when I did wake up 5 hrs later they provided me with something to eat because I had missed the meal served earlier. The even closed my window shade as not to have the early morning sun disturb me. I call that great service."

Nadelen: "Too much hassle on boarding bus to train? I have watched some of the Elderly had too many problems? Carrying their own carry on on those steps? And the 15 minutes bus ride? We are in the 21 st Century? Needs to be improved. Jaya Sreedhara"

Nadelen: "Refusal to let passengers bring water purchased past security on the flight. I have flown hundreds of flight legs, many international, and never encountered such a policy. Water distribution on board did little to compensate. Shortage of vegetarian meals (unless ordered ahead of time) despite their listing on the menu as an option for everyone. I was seated in the first third of the cabin and got no meal. Vegetarian meals should either be available for all or not listed in the menu as an option."

Voordelen: "Even though we were in the very back row, we did not experience a foul smell from the restrooms. This was a very nice relief. It is bad enough that the seats don't recline and there is no window in the very back row but prior experience with the added nausea of foul restroom order has been a serious insult to injury. In this case there was really minimal odor. Also since we are traveling as a family we are very happy that we were seated together. We have experienced the past that sometimes our seats will be fragmented and that creates major challenges when you are traveling with young children. However on this particular flight the ride was rough during both takeoff and landing, a lot of side to side shimmy. Also the cabin pressure varied quite a bit during landing causing all the kids to complain about some discomfort in their ears."

Die mevrouw geeft groen Delta label: uw bagage wordt in Atlanta direct doorgezonden naar Kingston. Ik loop dus door in Atlanta. Maar behulpvaardige meneer melde: uw bagage wordt niet doorgezonden. Nooit uit Amsterdam. Wie moet ik dan geloven? Ik toch maar wachten. Blijkt koffer toch van bagage band in Atlanta te komen. Als ik op Delta/KLM info had vertrouwd, was mijn koffer dus pleite geweest, want niet doorgezonden. Geplande tussenstop duur van 2 uur was volgens douane te weinig. Dat klopte. Haalde maar net vlucht Atlanta/Kingston."

Nadelen: "Flight departure was delayed almost 30 minutes for "baggage," but Delta still managed to leave many passengers' luggage in Amsterdam. Desk agent guaranteed baggage delivery within 24 hours. 4 days and 3 airports later, my bag reached my hotel. Fly Air France instead. The food is better and they won't lose your luggage."

Nadelen: "After a grueling 14 hour flight back to the states from Asia, got notification that my Delta flight was further delayed an additional 3.5 hrs from the layover of 2hrs, so I was at the airport for a good part of the day and did not get home till midnight. Altogether 24+ hrs of no real sleep. To add insult to injury, a Delta representative called and apologized, offering a $100 voucher or gift certificate. Raised expectation that they might actually do the right thing. I then received a Delta email that says "Your day just got better", except there was nothing but ads and enter to bid for things. Overall bad experience when I really needed them to get me home on time."

Uitermate vriendelijke en behulpzame dame. Tijdens de vlucht was er zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam cabinepersoneel beschikbaar."

Nadelen: "I have a dairy allergy but had no option to prepurchase a dairy free meal. It made for a very unenjoyable flight as I couldn't eat anything they had. What was worse was after I told them of my situation they said they understood and had a meal that would do but there was cheese, yogurt, milk chocolate, etc."

Nadelen: "Omdat Economy Comfort vol zat (een maand van te voren), een exit roe geboekt. Wel veel beenruimte, maar in de breedte echt te krap voor een vlucht van 12 uur."

Voordelen: "Planes are newish and comfortable. Decent amount of room in economy. Very good entertainment system with a not of great Nordic content (Swedish, Danish and Norwegian movies) Food was pretty good for an airplane. The service is excellent. I slept through the meal service, but they still made it a point to get me a meal when I woke up. Old fashioned tea and coffee service, with a steward going up and down the aisles with proper tea and coffee pots. Very professional, a high end feel to everything."
Voordelen: "Transfer time is not sufficient due to customs in Sweden customs inspection takes too long for only one staff."
Nadelen: "My flight was cancelled and no one notified me! Instead, FlyUs.com placed me on a different SAS flight that had a 15 minute layover in Copenhagen. Needless to say, I would have missed the flight from Copenhagen. I realized the issue the day-of, spent hours on the phone trying to book a different flight through the customer services at FlyUs.com (stupid company!), and was finally rebooked by SAS on a different airline. When I called SAS directly, they immediately took care of the situation and handled it well, but I wasted an entire day dealing with FlyUs.com, waiting on confirmation for a flight that I was never going to receive. The whole experience was awful."
Nadelen: "No choice in main course. Only one option Long time since wine or beer is not offered free on a “major” airline. The entertainment was interrupted a couple of times with adds. Seats are tight and space more in line with a discount airline."
Nadelen: "Rerouted without consultaton - added an extra leg to my trip including a necessary mad dash to catch the make-up flight."

Voordelen: "We traveled with our 11 month old and the crew was super helpful. It was an 8.5hr flight, we got a middle seat to give him space to play and the staff had a lot of fun engaging with him. They even gave him a couple of toys to play with. Food was just ok, but better than most airline meals I've had. We flew Premium Economy which was a comfortable experience as well."
Nadelen: "Checking in took too long, but that's more due to the new US-bound flight restrictions and process that's supporting that."
Nadelen: "Expensive rates on luggage"
Voordelen: "Food was very good on international flight. All personnel was extremely polite and courteous. Great movie selection. Everyone was greeted with headphones, a bottle of water, pillow and blanket"
Nadelen: "Nothing not to like"
Voordelen: "I liked that boarding and take off went smoothly. The cabin crew was extremely nice and always was there when you need something!"
Nadelen: "There was no snack served."
Voordelen: "Comfortable flight."
Nadelen: "Only one meal option ( with meat). Alcoholic beverage not included."
Voordelen: "I'm surprised this is called a budget airline (or am I mistaken?!). Anyway, everything was great. The entertainment options were limited compared to Turkish, Emirates, Lufthansa or Qatar, but enough for a 7 hour flight and then some. Also, I liked that there was a bottle of water on each seat for people to hydrate. Very important, and I haven't seen any other airline do it."
Nadelen: "Nothing stands out really. I'm likely going to fly them again."
Voordelen: "Crew very nice. More leg room in front of seats then most planes.. Plane on time ."
Nadelen: "Not many movie choices, Food was just ok. Do not put tomatoes on sandwiches ahead of time, it makes the bread wet and soggy."
Voordelen: "This was a direct Copenhagen to Boston flight run by SAS for Privatair. It was a small aircraft with only 70 total seats. That being said, the seats were comfortable, the service was wonderful, and the flight was smooth."
Nadelen: "Inflight entertainment consisted of an iPad with very limited options. Only one non-alcoholic drink included with dinner, and purchase price of wine was the highest I have ever seen on a flight."
Nadelen: "Flight late, plane not very clean food..."

Voordelen: "Everything went smoothly. Timely boarding in a very efficient and comfortable process. Really great food and accomodating staffing"

Nadelen: "Although it was entirely SAS's fault that I missed my connection in CPH, they refused to reroute me on another carrier. They routed me on another SAS flight to ORD, and from there back to BOS. Hence my arrival was delayed from 3.20 PM to 12.130 AM after midnight."

Nadelen: "scary old plane and a (Estonian) crew with mediocre skills with the local language"

Nadelen: "Boarding... the first 20 or so rows were called then "All remaining passengers..." causing considerable pushing, etc. MUST board by sections, etc..."

Nadelen: "Had to pay 70 euro to check 1 bag at the airport!"

Nadelen: "Had to pay €70 to check in luggage - most expensive ive ever seen! No beverages other than coffee and tea abailable, water could be appreciated"

Nadelen: "For an international flight, only the first non-alcoholic drink is included for free. Let's say, if you want 2 orange juices, you have to pay for the second. Alcohol, of course, is not free under their system. Snacks? Forget about it."
Nadelen: "Seats are allowed to recline to far. When you are sitting behind someone who has reclined their seat you have no room"
Nadelen: "Not enough room to work on laptop."
Nadelen: "Route not following great circle, takes too long for CPH-BOS, should be 6.5 hours."
Nadelen: "I missed my flight due to car troubles and has been very difficult in trying to get a refund for my flight. SAS was very unhelpful at the airport I had to go to Delta and purchase and entirely new flight!"
Voordelen: "Fantastic crew"
Nadelen: "The plane was a half hour or so late taking off. We waited on the plane for most of that half hour with no explanation of why When calling rows to board -- after calling rows 1 through 13 she then called rows 41 and after. She skipped our row 14. This could definitely be an issue with overhead space"
Nadelen: "We boarded late. There was no boarding announcement. A guy walked up in front , as to wait for the announcement and she waved him up. The rest of the gate just started forming several lines. Very unorganized. The we sat on the plane for about a half hour. At least there was an announcement that two people were missing so they had to remove their luggage. 40 minutes late into Longyearbyen."
Nadelen: "Bought tickets 8 months before flight. Was put on Standby status. Unable to get confirmed seat assignment until about 15 minutes before flight. Wasn't sure we would make flight until new boarding pass was issued by gate agent. And that boarding pass bounced when trying to board plane. New boarding pass had to be issued with another seat assignment. SAS is on my no fly list."
Nadelen: "instead of cophenhagen to boston, i was re-routed copenhagen to gothenburg to munich to frankfurt to boston.... the cancelled flight was on july 6 2016; i arrived home more than 24 hours behind plan i spent at least 5-6 hours in lines, went thru security 4 times....."
Voordelen: "Efficiency, confidence, promptness"
Nadelen: "The meals were mediocre and should be up to the standard of the rest of SAS service. The selection of movies could have been wider. They do help pass the time."
Voordelen: "Missed flight. After waiting in three cues of more than 25 people was told the airline and your customer service could do nothing to help me. Am going to continue to pursue a credit and hope a new flight will be issued! Please help me!"
Voordelen: "The flight crew (flight attendants are the best I've encountered in terms of tone and hospitality) cleanliness, the food, frequent offers of water, your own TV and numerous options for entertainment and ability to track flight"
Nadelen: "Like the sleek style but still wish there was a little more leg room"
Nadelen: "We arrived in Newark, but our luggage did not. It was lost for 2 days. In this day and age of technology, there is no excuse."
Nadelen: "Food wasn't good , change for drinks"
Voordelen: "Friendly crew, the plane was Very new and had wonderful screens for viewing entertainment."
Nadelen: "Not enough leg room."
Nadelen: "Customer Service was terrible at the counter. Check in was aweful. Surpirse very expensive bag fee. There was no effort to make me aware of the bag fees before the flight. Automatic recheck of bags didn't work. Everything took longer than expected and nobody was interested in helping solve the problem."
Voordelen: "plane interior seemed new/clean. Big TVs and lots of movies in the SAS Plus / Prem economy seats."
Nadelen: "The cabin crew was pretty terrible...ranging from being generally disinterested to actually actively hostile towards passengers. No wonder SAS is in such dire straights. Would never choose to fly SAS again."
Voordelen: "Modern plane with big screens, PA system that one could understand, water bottle available from the start, friendly crew, on time, difficult landing at low visibility well done, checked bag ready when I arrived for pick up."
Nadelen: "My place was changed without my knowledge after I choosed it during online check-in."
Nadelen: "I understand flights can get cancelled due to technical problems but I do expect good information and expedient rerouting. SAS fell short on both accounts here. The transfer center staff was the worst: at some point one of them was literally screaming and yelling at a whole group of stranded passengers. Extremely unprofessional and far from helpful. We had to call SAS in the US ourselves to get rerouted - and that was 6 hours after the flight was cancelled."
Voordelen: "Boarding super easy, the crew was friendly, and the seats were relatively comfortable. Lots of leg room (exit row)."
Nadelen: "Crew was a little too friendly with passengers, resulting in an unprofessional demeanor. Danish women on the plane were rowdy and the crew laughed along with them instead of politely asking them to turn it down (late night flight)."
Voordelen: "Took off on time"

Nadelen: "Rejkjavik aiport is woefully undersized and understaffed to handle the volume of passengers connecting through to other destinations. Jam-packed waiting areas and walking aisles and long queues in restrooms and refreshment areas. A lovely building, but not a pleasant experience at all."

Nadelen: "Our seats were reassigned at the last minute (upon boarding) to seats that couldn't recline at all. The people in front of us could recline their seats fully, giving us no room whatsoever to move. We had no room to even rest our heads on the table or cross our legs. It was very uncomfortable. Had I known the seating was so uncomfortable, I would not have flown this airline. These were not the seats we selected earlier, so we were taken by surprise at being given such terrible seats and offered no options. I will not fly this airline again."

Nadelen: "The whole experience was poor. I'm disappointed."
Nadelen: "Too bad that there is no food included in the flights. We bought sandwiches, and they were worth it though :)"
Voordelen: "They got us from A to B safely...I am grateful. But not a very warm and friendly bunch!"
Nadelen: "Iceland airport was over crowded on the way to Brussels."
Voordelen: "Crew was nice, we were timely and the pilot was very engaged with the passengers via intercom"
Nadelen: "There really isn't a great system in place for boarding, everyone is called at once and it's an annoying free for all."

Nadelen: "too many flights landed at KEF at one time. the iceland customs could not handle all the flights at one time. it seems like the idea/plan to make iceland a primary stopover location was done without determining how many flights could descend on the terminal at one time. i was in a line that was almost all the way down the terminal. we truly were processed quickly - but it gave many around us a lot of stress over thinking they would miss their connecting flights. since i had done this before and the exact same thing happened (too many to process in too short a period of time) i reassured the people around us that icelandair holds the connecting flights until all people were processed. it gives a bad look to iceland and icelandair and i am sure could be remedied by changing some arrival/departure times. again, the idea of having iceland be a primary stopover to put them 'on the map' and glean the revenue from the potential travel is excellent, great marketing strategy - but is iceland air shooting them in the foot if they have implemented this plan without the infrastructure - please pass along to iceland- a country i really loved when i visited before this marketing plan!"

Voordelen: "We were delayed about an hour and half, waited on boarding line, which were not controlled and people kept cutting in, buses to tarmac in freezing cold, no Agent at baggage recheck with short connection. They crew turn off air way too early in the cabin. People are in winter gear and cabin temperature is not comfortable. On the way to Iceland, it was too warm on the plane for the entire duration."
Voordelen: "Spent two hours after boarding before takeoff... plane desperately needs more air circulation and a lower thermostat point."

Nadelen: "The flight was leaving late and we were informed that it was fine, that we would make our connection to Jetblue flight to RDU! That was not the case, however! That was the last flight to RDU that day and no hotel rooms were available in Boston area!!! So we had to spend the night on cots in the terminal! That sucks!!!"
Nadelen: "The service wasn't very good, the seats were marginally comfortable and the food was just Ok. Expected more from Business class considering the price of the ticket."
Voordelen: "The Reykjavik airport was clean and had nice facilities"
Nadelen: "The customer service was very poor on the plane. During the time that my mother requested a drink on the plane, the flight attendants walk right past her and did not even initially acknowledge her presence. I found that to be very rude and unprofessional. I was also very disappointed to find that we were not given food on the five hour flight. That was very inconvenient and I have never experienced that on any other airline in my 22 years of life. It is safe to say that I will NEVER be flying with Iceland air again."
