Nadelen: "What did you dislike? I purchased our tickets back in November selecting which seats we wanted. When we arrived February 16th they stated we were "standby" after a debated discussion they found us some seats at the very back of the plane (not our selected seats). On our flight back they had us, my husband and I seating in separate sections on the plane (again not our selected seats) 6 rows away from each other. I will NOT recommend using Kayak in the future. Nadelen: "How about being stranded at Narita Airport due to bad weather AND not helping your passengers rebook. Told us the flight was cancelled at 10:30pm when suppose to fly out at 7:30pm. No trains or hotels available, only way to rebook was through their phone service? Which didn’t open until 8am. Why not rebook at the ticket desk, guess what? You can’t!"
Nadelen: "You mean the flight that never happened? The one that was suppose to fly out at 12:50 on 1/6/18 delayed until 17:25 (with acceptable communication the first delay) but then later delayed till 00:10 after I’ve already arrived at the airport early for the 17:25 departure. The screens with arrivals and departures posted that Checkin was open but there was no JAL staff to answer questions. Then getting an update “maybe” the 00:10 flight is cancelled? What is maybe cancelled and JALs phone messege still said the flight would depart at 00:10. So I go back to JFK because after all “maybe” isnt a definitive and according to all the direct JAL sources the flight is suppose to depart, I get to JFK the second time only to be given a printout saying the flight is cancelled with no rebooking, and to call for assistance. The same number is been calling for hours trying to get answers. coukdnt reschedules because I’m calling outside of business hours! I spent $200 on cab rides going back and forth to JFK to go nowhere, get no apology, no new flight booking, and no reimbursement for transportation."

Nadelen: "How long it took the flight attendens to come back and take trash and out trays for both of the meals. It made it super uncomfortable in the tiny space available. Also, not enough knee space, especially when the person in front of you puts there seat back. I flew with American Airlines on the way to Japan and I had plenty of room but I wish it was the same coming home."
Voordelen: "The Japanese crews were excellent on board."
Nadelen: "I didn't like the way the personnel at the check in counter in Dallas. Hannah didn't seem too helpful. I don't know if she was new but she seemed reluctant to help me when I couldn't find my luggage tags. I told her I wanted a kid's meal for my son but she didn't process the request. He did not get a child meal."

Voordelen: "Very efficient boarding. Using two doors and a twin aisle plane made boarding very efficient despite the size of the plane and the number of people. Free WiFi worked surprisingly well - I was able to make a video call to my family. The plane was clean and tidy . Not really much more to say as it was a very short flight."
Nadelen: "No food offered, not even a biscuit, only very basic drink selection."

Voordelen: "From start to finish, we were amazed by the customer service of Japan Airlines. Altogether we we had a 14-hour day or so of flying with two small children and it could have easily been a 20-hour-or-more day of flying had Japan Airlines not been so great at what they do. We can't say enough about how amazed and blessed we were by their customer service."
Nadelen: "Having to pay for wifi and not having access to power outlets. Everything else was amazing and honestly these minor things were very forgivable given the great entertainment choices that came along with the plan ride and and the amazing customer service."
