It took nearly an hour to get through the 10 people ahead of us. And then we were told that my 1 bag would cost $53 to check-in and that I would have to go to another counter in a far away part of the airport to pay...and we had 20 minutes before boarding. Afger running to the cashier, we were told that she had no time and that we should go back to the agent to pay! We ran back and paid, then went to look for our gate. It was finally listed as Gate 12. We got though security ok and got into the line for Gate 12. It was more like a scrum tan a line. Nobod seemed to be doing anything when all at once we saw people boarding. We went to the gate but were told that our flight was boarding at Gate 10!!! WTF??? Gate 12 listed our flight number and Gate 10 listed another flight, but we did as were told and boarded via Gate 10. None of other passengers knew what the hell was going on but we all made it to Rome along with our baggage. We will NEVER fly Alitalia again."

Nadelen: "We had only an hour for our connection. Ordinarily, this is enough time. However we had to go through passport control during the connection and we almost missed our flight. When traveling internationally, this should be considered. Rome airport (FCO) could do a better job of managing passengers with quick connections. It was a mess."

Nadelen: "Had problem with luggage, did not like food specifically cheese on dark bread sandwich, did not like going to gate but would need to climb stairs and get shuttle to plane"

Nadelen: "See above. This scam is not acceptable. You should be ashamed. I demand my money back for paying twice for baggage, including the airport fee. I will be going to the media re this scam and seeing if I can start a class action."

Nadelen: "We paid for bags. Called to check the bags were included and on a technicality alitila charged for bags again. When we asked why, we were told this happens all the time. It seems alitila relays on this to rip of foreigners. This is despicable. This happened twice from two different booking companies and only with Alitalia. I will follow this up next week."

Voordelen: "I had not flown overseas in so long that I had forgotten how nice flying could be. The flight attendants were especially attentive and helpful. Not only did we get a "free" meal, but it included white or red wine if desired. I felt like I was experiencing what flying used to be like in an earlier time."

Nadelen: "The plane was boarded early and then the flight ended up being delayed an hour. The seats were extremely uncomfortable and the leg room almost nonexistent. It was difficult to move at all for this 12 hour flight. I am not very tall at only 5'7" and I am slim. Also, the lunch was worse than any I've ever had."

Nadelen: "We had booked a weekend getaway, first the returned flight was cancelled and changed for a later one that didn't work for us (we couldn't get to work on time), we managed to change that for another flight the day before, shortening our vacation, then, when we got to the airport, an hour before boarding, we find out there, without warning, that the outgoing flight had been cancelled! This time it wasn't automatically changed, and there was no warning, the only solution they were giving us was an afternoon flight the other day, shortening our weekend getaway even more. After half an hour of discussion, they found and earlier flight, with connection, double the time, but that would get us there at around 2pm, so still we were missing almost half a day, but that was the best they could do. The flight was OK, boarding was late, but hey, that seems to always be the experience with this type of flights. I would just say they are not very reliable, having both your outbound and inbound flights cancelled, seems to much, specially if you're just going for a short getaway, you may end up having a one-day getaway!"

The huge headrest forced us to sit bent in a C shape with our heads bent down, no way to sit normally and relax. It was pretty close to torture for a long flight. I just wanted to rip the thing off the back of the seat. I will never fly on a B777 again if I can help it. Its particularly rich when the captain comes on the address system and tells us to sit back and ENJOY the flight. Additionally, boarding started a full hour before scheduled departure, then the flight was delayed an additional 45 minutes while they waited for somebody's luggage. If you boarded early, you got to enjoy sitting there nearly 10 hours for an 8 hour flight."

Nadelen: "They say things take longer in Italy to savor the experience of life. I cannot imagine a human being who can savor being on a plane. Teeny drink service, twice over the course of ten hours, Staff with limited english, mysterious route with a lot of zigzaging. Icky food. It wasn't my worst experience ever, but certainly not a great flight."

Nadelen: "We took the flight from Rome to New York. The seats in coach are cramped if people recline, as they of course do on a 10-hour flight. The aisles were also very narrow. Crew was great."

Nadelen: "Ik zat bij de nooduitgang. Normaal wordt je voor het vliegen geïnstrueerd voor wat je moet doen in een noodsituatie. Minimaal wordt je gevraagd om de instructies door te nemen. Zowel op de heen als de terugvlucht is dat door geen van het cabine personeel gedaan."

Nadelen: "The joke has always been Ryanair sucks and I should avoid at all cost flying with this airline. I dismissed the feedback I received and I decided to book a weekend trip to London from Frankfurt. I should have listed and known better. To start, I did not receive a boarding pass after checking in. I was advised to go to the Ryanair clerk upon arriving at the airport. I explained to the clerk the situation; told her I did not have a boarding pass to print and was advised to see her. There were no issues and she printed my boarding pass without any fee. On the way back to Frankfurt, this is where things go from bad to worse. On our way to the airport in London, we get notice the flight has been cancelled. We didn't know what to do so I went on chat with a Ryanair rep and was told the flight would depart and there were no issues getting to Frankfurt International. I wasn't convinced, but I had no option. When I arrived at the airport in London I did exactly what I did in Frankfurt. I checked in with the clerk and explained to her the exact same thing I explained to the clerk in Frankfurt. The clerk started to yell at me. Tell me I couldn't be getting on the flight since I didn't have a boarding pass. She continued to yell at me after many attempts trying to explain to her the facts. The brushed me off to customer service and said she couldn't help me. Awful customer service!! As I walked away from the counter she yelled at me, "What do you expect this is Ryanair. It's an awful airline!". After standing at the customer service line for another 30 minutes. I tried to explain to the clerk at the customer service counter my situation and she did not want to reason. She demand I pay 15 GBP if I wanted to get on my flight. I didn't have an option, and I didn't agree with this decision. I paid the 15 GBP. After checking in at security and getting to our gate we quickly learned the flight would be rerouted to Frankfurt Hahn and then we would be bussed to Frankfurt International. After over an hour commute to Frankfurt International, we did not get home until 02:00h!! This is completely unacceptable and I will NEVER - NEVER fly Ryanair. Ryanair is the WORSE airlines!!!"

Voordelen: "The flight was on time, easy to board, no issues with baggage. Overall great flight. Crew was friendly."

Nadelen: "Het feit dat ik handbagage heb en dat dat perse in het luchtruim moet omdat Ryanair structureel te weinig ruimte heeft in het vliegtuig. Maar als ik 1kilo teveel inpak moet ik extra betalen. Maar als ze zelf iets verkeerd doen geen vergoeding of wat dan ook. Zelfs geen excuus. Schandalige manier van zaken doen, niks klant is koning..Ryan air is koning van het uitknijpen van passagiers"

Voordelen: "I think the crew were ok. But I didn't need them for anything. I guess I'm happy they were not rude or miserable themselves. They seemed upbeat which was the only positive thing about this whole trip. Plus I think the pilot stepped on it, cause I think travel time was less than what was planned (I might be missing taxiing time though, so not sure)."
Nadelen: "Well, I can't say I wasn't entirely expecting this. There was over an hour and half delay. Nothing announced. We were in the dark. The plane didn't arrive on time, nothing announced. Boarding was delayed, nothing announced. When boarding was complete, there was an indefinite delay that was only announced quite a bit later. Anyway, the whole experience, including naming Charleroi airport as "South Brussels" is not something I intend to repeat."

Nadelen: "The flight did not fly out of the airport I selected thru kayak. I missed my flight because I was unable to make it to the correct airport in time. I will NEVER use Kayak again."

Nadelen: "Unexpected, late, and lack of communication of long delay. The gate numbers change at almost the last minute to boarding, meaning you may need to run to the right gate and be last in line."

On the check in counter, we were not allowed to check in because they claimed that we had to check in online. We contacted the Ryanair desk to solve the problem, and we showed them that we are not able to access the website to check in. Eventually, they forced us to buy brand new tickets or we would have missed our flight."

Voordelen: "Uitstekende prijs kwaliteit verhouding,goede koffie (dus dan is betalen geen probleem..) Eindhoven is zoveel handiger dan Schiphol. Parkeren is ook ideaal geregeld."
Nadelen: "Op het laatste moment terminal aangeven. Gedring van mensen om aan boord te komen, snap dat het snel moet maar zou toch meer orde moeten zijn."

Nadelen: "Ik was alleen met 2 kinderen van 3j en 7 maanden. Niemand van personeel heeft mij gevraagd of ze met ergens mee konden helpen. Ik moest alles zelf doen buggy plat plooien,zelf mijn dochter op de trap helpen. Zelf bij uit uitstappen heb al met andere maatschappijen gevlogen en daar was het wel te merk dat ze kindvriendelijk zijn. zelf bij het inchecken moest ik mee aanschuiven terwijl bij andere maatschappijen je voor mag gaan met kinderen.
