Nadelen: "First let me tell you that when I booked a flight to Istanbul from Brussels, I booked, so I thought, the airport called Istanbul Ataturk with the initials of IST. What I got was SAW after I paid for a booking that said IST. Sabina Gokcen is one hour away further on the Asian side of Turkey. I did not want this airport! There was nothing I could do about this but bite the bullet & accept what I got since I was not allowed to have any corrections made after paying for this ticket. I am highly disappointed with Kayak. The first time you have disappointed me greatly!"

Nadelen: "They had assigned the same seat to me and somebody else, and the other person was already sitting in the seat when I got there. The only other available seat was in business class, and although the flight attendant later admitted I should have been given that business class seat, the other person successfully argued to take it. Staff are good though not as friendly as most Asian airlines."

Nadelen: "British Air overbooked the flight; I checked in on time but there were no seat assignments left. I went to the gate anyway to try; the gate attendant kept me waiting for a seat so long that the gate closed. He was not nice. His colleague booked me on a different flight to LCY airport (instead of Heathrow). But that different flight got diverted to Manchester. So the fast that BA overbooked cost me an extra 6 hours and $140 to buy a train & tube ticket to get back to Heathrow. The fact that there was not a single smile among the staff, and I had to argue to even get on the second flight, is inexcusable."

C'est pourtant pas compliqué d'expliquer au passagers que l'on doit repasser par les portes A avant de retourner sur les portes indiquées sur les téléviseurs.."

Voordelen: "I require a wheelchair for getting around the airport. When I first checked in at LHR, they claimed to have no record of my wheelchair request and my seat change, despite my very clear notations of who and when these were made. They did have a record of my paying for one suitcase. The agent at LHR promised to make these corrections so I would not have the same problem when returning to London. Furthermore, to turn this into a humiliating situation, at the gate I was informed that the jetway was broken and they would have to find some other way to get me onboard the plane. I cannot believe that British Airways has no contingency plan for a situation like mine. After many discussions between BA reps and ground crewmen they decided to bring me down in a lift at Gate 34, though my plane was at Gate 32. I was then loaded onto the freight platform of one of those food delivery trucks and driven over to my plane. The truck backed into place and again I hoisted up to the plane. However the plane door was locked and we had to bang on it for them to finally open it. To my great embarrassment I helped down the aisle to my assigned seat, looking back at the curious looks and glares from all those passengers who had no explanation for the delay and humiliating scene. Officially the flight was listed at 28 minutes late, when in reality it was 40 minutes till we taxied away from the gate My return flight from Brussels was little better because the changes that were supposed to have been entered at LHR never were and so I had to go through this whole routine again costing me over one hour in delays. Fortunately I was able to board the flight through the jetway and did not have to be hoisted up again, and delivered like freight. How would you rate these flights. I had problems with every single British Airways flight!!"

Nadelen: "3 hour delay, no communication with customers regarding delay or connection. Once we finally arrived st Heathrow for the 2nd leg of our journey, we were put on a later connection, no apologies whatsoever from any of the employees. Overall we spent over 4 hours in the air. We were never served even a glass of water or a bag of pretzels. The seats were very tight with very little leg room, and I am only a 5'6" female."
Nadelen: "Boarding the plane. I do not know why the airlines load the people who are at the front of the plane first. Load the people on the back of the plane first. That way, when you call the next section, the people in the back are not blocking people as they enter. An alternative is to call people in sections based on where they sit in a row. If you have window seat, you should be called first. Why? Because so many passengers who have aisle seats have to get up to let people with middle or window seats get in. So, they hold traffic up as people are trying to get to their seats. After window seat passengers get called, then call middle seat passengers, and last, call aisle seat passengers."

Voordelen: "I was prepared with my smart phone and iPad and external batteries, turns out I needed none of those things! What a pleasant surprise for the in flight movies, music and tv to be perfect. I didn't even have to use my external battery on the flight because there is a perfect USB port in the screen in front of you. The food was as good as airplane good gets, the plane incredibly comfortable and staff was attentive. I don't love the long flights but this BA flight is now my go to anytime Im headed to Europe."

Nadelen: "At JFK there was a long wait for the luggage, which ended up not being delivered to the carousel, after we had waited for almost 2 hours. Granted, there was some snow and some technical issue since the fire alarm system was flashing the whole time, but still, there were only two announcements made during that time, and the second one to let us know that we'd have to arrange for delivery of our luggage on the website. By that time, it was past 11;30pm and everyone was dead tired, when the flight had been supposed to land at 7:25pm. I think the blame is to be laid on the JFK installations. Everywhere I travel in Europe, airports are in brand new condition, and not only departure areas like in the US. No wonder baggage delivery was a mess after just a little snow/"

They just pushed all the paperwork"

Nadelen: "Having the seat by the bathroom. Even though passengers were instructed not to form a line, they did and were encroaching in my personal space for the majority of the flight. Though this is not an airline issue, it did effect the comfort of the 4.6hr flight."

Nadelen: "I tried to paid for an upgrade but the ground staff wasn't very accommodating, she just said no."

Nadelen: "The plane was filthy. Crew members didn't seem to care to take care of passengers. Overall not a good experience."

Nadelen: "While making the reservation online it said that you could declare your luggage when you do online check in 24 hours before your flight and the charge would be 15 euro's per bag or if you wait and do it at the airport it would be 30 euros per bag. I tried numerous times to do the check in before our flight and it kept saying unable to complete. I explained this to the agent at the airport and he still charge us 30 euros per bag."
Nadelen: "They kept delaying the flight and then cancelled. I had to take uber to Penn Station and then AmTrack to Union Station. Otherwise I would not have gotten back until over 24 hours later the next day. So, in the end I had to spend over $200 more to get home. I really have never had a good experience flying Iberia."
Nadelen: "Iberia should do something about its check-in process, it seems way below the industry standards. 1. Online check is only worth if you don't have any luggage. If you do, there's no point of doing that, because there's one line for both check-in and luggage drop off. 2. If you arrive to the airport 1h45min before the flight (LOCAL flight!!!), you'll be among the last ones to check-in, because you will spend about an hour in the line (there's just two people at the register: one for economy and one for business). In the end everyone in the line will get checked in (thanks for that), but the flight will be delayed and Iberia will blame the security (which takes 5 min to pass, unlike the check-in process."
Nadelen: "Late departure."
Nadelen: "We took the red eye and there were children that would not stop screaming and crying. This was not your usual crying infant. These children were able to speak. The crew did nothing about it and let these children yell and scream as they played games on the provided tv. Most of the people on the flight were displeased by this family that made so much noise."

The plane was clean and bright. I did not notice if the seats recline. I will be using them for short flights throughout Europe when I return for visit."
Nadelen: "Flight was so short they rushed us eating the cookie and only water was served that I could tell. Also, TAP has their own boarding check-in wing of Lisbon airport. It was not clearly marked and Eropean arrows pointing up could mean to continue forward, as well as go to upper floors."

Nadelen: "My flight arrived late, apparently, as myself and people on two other connecting tap flights all deplaned after our respective boarding calls had begun. There was no announcement for people with tight connections or about what to do if we couldn't make them. That tap didn't plan out sufficient connection times for the conditions of the airport, and that it was security, not to itself, that did anything to try to expedite is through passport control, etc was disappointing and resulted in several extra hours stuck in the airport for me and for those on one of those other missed flights having to wait overnight for another seat"
Voordelen: "I have traveled with Air Portugal numerous time. Here is a little country very proud of having its own airline company and they do great. The value is great."
Nadelen: "We missed our connection Lisbon to Venice because our plane out of Boston was delayed. We flew TAP Lisbon to Rome and then Alitalia to Venice. Our fight to Rome was delayed. We were never told the plane was delayed or how long we should expect to wait. We just stood at the gate waiting to board and time ticked further and further past the boarding time listed on our tickets."
Voordelen: "Disorganised boarding and staff not efficient Plane was not cleaned until passengers arrived at plane and waited in buses while they finished cleaning, waited standing approximately 30 minutes at plane on bus"
Voordelen: "Both check ins (to and from Boston) the staff were rude. No information, just alot of speaking Portuguese to other staffers while my family and I stood there. The flight and crew were good, clean, kind and efficient."
Nadelen: "There was a strike in Lisbon. Thousands of people trying to go through security and four people working the booths. Plus NO information. Just chaos, bad feelings and HOURS of standing in lines. Stressful. Will NEVER go to Lisbon again."

Nadelen: "No entertainment and I thought there should have been a little more food. What they did provide was good just a little shy on the quantity. INternational flight with no free bags."
Voordelen: "Check-in and baggage drop was fast. Food was good. Cabin crew did their job. Economy plus seats are comfortable and leg room was ok (I'm 1,84m tall). So, smooth and easy flight."

When we arrived at Schiphol it was night already and trains to towns around were super rare. So we came in home at 3 a.m. instead of the planned 1 a.m."

Nadelen: "The food wasn't that appetizing. It actually gave me upset stomach for the rest of the flight. I was in the bathroom 3x during the flight and I usually don't use the restroom more than once during any given flight. I didn't like that when asking for a drink of water, they only give a half full cup of room-temperature water. On an 8 hour flight, I get dehydrated and could drink 2 water bottles alone. I don't like to be a nuisance to the attendants so I only asked for water twice. I just wish they would provide small personal bottles per customer. I also have never flown on TAP before so I wasn't aware of anything like how to call an attendant using the touch-screen or even that watching movies was free. It should be said over the intercom at the beginning of the flight."

Nadelen: "Oph, I wish I had better things to say about this airline! The person who signed us in for our first flight did so as a "no show" (we didn't know this at the time). That flight was delayed (they didn't have enough room in the plane for luggage and were scrambling to put things below). Once we arrived in at our second location, we sprinted through the airport but arrived at our gate with 10 minutes to spare only to be told that the entire flight was full and that we were not able to board. We asked- how this was possible? We are here on time, we have booked our tickets months ahead of time, and there is no one else here at the gate... it made absolutely no sense. All the staff people did was shrug their shoulders and said that they couldn't help us and that we had to go to the transfer station. My friend and I were upset- by missing our flight we were losing our last night in Barcelona, seeing our friends, etc. before heading back to the United States. Once we got to the transfer station, we were even more confused and upset however, because the staff person there told us that in fact our seats were available and that there was no reason why were not allowed on the flight. However, she shrugged her shoulders and told her that there was nothing that she could do. She offered us a $10 meal card, booked us for the next flight 3 hours later (which put us in Barcelona late at night, way too late to see the city or our friends), and offered us absolutely no help in getting a refund. We asked to see the supervisor and after waiting another half an hour he came out and told us the story about how the staff person in Marrakesh put us as "no shows." This was a complete system failure, however he offered us no refund, no support, beyond telling us to go on the website and filling out a form. Once we got internet, we tried to get to the form- link broken. We called the help line, and after waiting another 20 minutes, we got connected to a woman who said that she couldn't help us- we had to go to the transfer service desk and fill out a paper form there or the electronic contact form. It seemed that every person had been well trained in how to pass clients from one system to another, to see if we would get too tired to file our complaints. No one has taken responsibility for this abysmal failure of the system, no one has apologized, and no one has offered any reimbursement beyond a meal ticket. I highly recommended that people pay an extra $20 for an airline where people are properly trained in how to use their computer systems, where they won't lie to your face, and where they may have a system where complaints and be properly filed and responded to. I have no idea how TAP Portugal is still in business."

Nadelen: "I didn't receive a headset for my first flight, though I did on the return. Also, I couldn't turn the monitor off, which made it impossible to sleep."
Voordelen: "The very long boarding line moved swiftly."
Nadelen: "The boarding was late. We spent about a half hour waiting to take off. I don't know how much of this was the airline or the airporr."
Voordelen: "My wife and I recently traveled to Europe for our honeymoon and we found ourselves flying TAP for the first time. We didn't expect to be treated as we were with plenty of drinks, food and a smoothie on such a bargain fare but we are definitely coming back for more."
Voordelen: "The crew was very friendly and accommodating to all requests. The in flight entertainment is great with new movies, shows, music, and etc available. Definitely will keep you entertained and distracted for the entirely of the flight."
Nadelen: "All was good"

Nadelen: "My TAP Portugal flight on June 13th from Boston to Lisbon and then to Madrid was cancelled after having the passengers deplane twice. I was sent to a hotel (due to mechanical problems on the pane). The hotel was 25 minutes away (this is driving at 4:30 in the morning). It took an hour to return to the airport 5 hours later (at 11 am.). My flights returning to Boston were delayed the first for an hour, the second for an hour and a half. TAP Portugal clearly has significant organizational issues to resolve. I will never fly TAP Portugal again, and I will suggest to all my family and friends to do the same. My flight was not cheap ( a fact that I willingly accepted) but to have such an awful experience is unacceptable."

Nadelen: "The long flight to Portugal from Boston TV was broken. Flight attendants said "Poor you". It was very rude that they did not offer any other services, for example a magazine or book."

Nadelen: "Could n't do a computer preboard. Seem like there is always a last minute gate change. Had to go to the airport to sort 'tickets not valid' message on TAP's app."

Nadelen: "They should be more thorough in the economy clad cabins to make sure that passengers have their bags put away way before we leave the gate. Flight crew hardly walked through the aisles in economy and were attending to th other cabins more."
Voordelen: "Very confusing. United personnel running Air Canada ground operations. Took 30 plus minutes to check one bag because there were not enough staff checking passengers in. Then flight was supposed to be delayed 90 minutes. This meant missing connections so automatic rebooking took place. Flight was then not delayed and had to rebook on original flight. Naturally bag didn't make the trip."
Voordelen: "Crew on board as accommodating as they could be."
Nadelen: "Arrived at the airport to find hundreds of people on line trying to check in. No Air Canada employees were explaining anything to anyone, as we all stood in line for over a hour, nervous we'd miss our flights. Word was passed from the front of the line that the system was down. They held planes, so I guess everyone eventually made it to their flights--but not until everyone was stressed out to the limit. Lack of assistance from Air Canada personnel was glaring."
Voordelen: "Nice crew- efficient boarding"
Nadelen: "One bathroom for all of economy. Poor snacks. No chance to get electronic boarding passes"

Nadelen: "Customer service from the group staff that checked us in was horrendous... (Lisa from Chicago ). We were not aware one of us needed eTA to fly through Canada and the agent was so belittling, rude and plane wrong with her information, that if it had not for our smarts, we might have not made it to our destination. I do not spend so much money to fly with an airline, whose agents treat it me like this! She really should be fired for her terrible manners and for giving customers wrong information..the second supervisor we talked to helped us, but the impression we got from the agent was so terrible, that it was hard to feel any good...no food on a flight during lunch hour, seems unfitting."

Nadelen: "My daughter has a peanut and nut allergie and air canada still serves them on a plane. I found 2 nuts in my seat ..I had to wipe down my seat as well as my daughters"

Nadelen: "1. They scheduled me for an overnight layover FOR NO REASON when there were multiple flights leaving earlier to my ultimate destination. 2. The airplane food gave me food poisoning and I had to spend the night in the ER. 3. My flight the next morning was delayed by 3hrs. Meanwhile, other flights to the same destination were taking off with no problem."

Voordelen: "I thought the crew was awesome. Very friendly, but the bathrooms definitely needed to be taken care of. SO dirty."

Nadelen: "I tried to call your airlines to reserve a spot for humanitarian supplies. I run a rescue for dogs in Cancun. I could never get through to anyone and there is no info on your tickets about the cost of a third bag. I was charged an extra $500.00 for two extra bags that were carrying donated supplies to help the animals. But your airline made it a useless endeavor because they ended up costing more than they were worth. The people at the gate were unbending and I'm so disappointed that it is more important to you to make money than help non-profit organizations. I have run Isla Animals for 15 years and have had much help from kind airlines, I won't be flying yours or recommending yours to any dog lovers."
Voordelen: "Plane left on time, smooth flight, arrived on schedule."
Nadelen: "1. Food very substandard. Hot food not very well prepared and rather tasteless, and snack was like a cardboard wrap with some salsa sauce in it. A disgrace to a major airline like Air Canada. Selection of drinks very limited. 2, Staff persisted in speaking mostly French, on an international flight. Some announcements were made only in French. As a Canadian, I can follow French, but let us remember that English is the international language. To use French is not fair to other nationalities, who expect English. 3. Seats far too close together for a long flight. There was more legroom on the Jazz flight from Montreal to Ottawa! 4. Entertainment kept breaking down. Headphones for my wife did not work, and eventually both of our screens went dead. Her's quit right in the middle of a movie. Bad!! 5. Boarding passes had zones on them, but these were totally disregarded in boarding. This resulted on overcrowding, long waits, etc. Hard on older people!"
Voordelen: "I am glad to have this opportunity to express what I was thinking when I got off the plane on Sunday. That was one of the best flights I have ever had. The flight was so smooth, take off, during flight and landing. Koodoo sto our captin! Also, I noticed the sir quality was great. I'm didn't feel dry or irritated by the sir as can sometimes happen. The crew were pleasant and I liked my seat. Hope the flight back is as enjoyable."

Voordelen: "I had a five year old and an eleven year old traveling with me and was able to board early and get them settled before everyone else got on."

As an Alliance member, you failed miserably. We will be seeking partial refund for you sendng one bag to Athens, one to Zurich and one to Munich."
Voordelen: "Comfy seat, good food, great attentive service and wonderful safe take offs and landings! Also we received extra treats for their inaugural flight from Brussels to Toronto."

Nadelen: "I don't like flying in general. It is one long hassle from what you can carry in your luggage to the cramped quarters. It is still faster than driving."

Just the cheapest goop ever. -I understand it was a full flight with lots of Brazilians, so they didnt put much effort into it, but still, the least they should do is change their catering company."

Nadelen: "I had a premium seat reserved and confirmed. When I checked in I found the seat was not available and I had been assigned a regular seat. I'm in my 80's and have to have a seat with more leg room. It was a miserable flight. I won't be on Air Canada again."
Voordelen: "I liked everything about this flight, especially how they dealt with the emergency that happened on the plane. The crew kept their cool"
Nadelen: "You had to pay for anything to eat, not even pretzles"
Voordelen: "Customer service was polite and diligent (although it took 35 minutes)."
Nadelen: "We booked a pair of tickets to fly YYZ-LGA. Only problem, my wife got bumped from the outbound flight(I swapped with her). This was despite having booked more than a month in advance, checking in the night before and arriving 2 hours early. To make it worse, we were told that I'd be able to get on the next flight out. So I sent my wife ahead and was then told that I couldn't make it on the next flight, or likely the flight after. Not ideal when you are heading to a wedding. They printed me a ticket for the 2pm flight (our orig flight was 8am). Through a stroke of luck I was able to get in the last row of the 12pm flight. I was offered compensation, but am miffed that our party was broken up (one was bumped), the staff at the gate gave me the wrong information and I wasn't able to be put onto an earlier flight. Further, I was told that if I paid for advanced seat selection, I would've made it on the flight."
