When sitting upright and the person in front reclined, i looked at their head and if I crossed my arms, it would touch the seat in front. Could not pick up pillow that dropped on the floor, could not bend around the seat in front. Very hard to get out to use the toilet. Felt very claustrophobic."

Nadelen: "We had to Run from our arrival gate to our departure gate, and take a train, and go through immigration and then a second documents check. It looked to me like Swiss Air knew we were running close as the flight rarely (if ever) leaves on time. It was stressful for us and for the 30+ others who were still in line in immigration when the flight time passed. It turned out to not be a problem but the published times are unrealistic. Seats were tight and comfort in cattle class is NON Existent sleep on an 8 hour flight was not even possible."

Nadelen: "Provided headphones are horrible and headphone jack only puts out mono when used with a regular set of headphones."

Nadelen: "There was no wifi available, the airline did not have a record of my request for a vegan meal even though I submitted one when I booked my tickets, and they claimed I did not pay for/reserve a seat (even though I had for the flight over, which I booked at the same time as the return flight), so I was stuck in a cramped middle seat for 8 hours trying to write a paper without the internet."

Nadelen: "There was no pre-boarding for families with kids. They waited until the entire Business and First Class passengers boarded in Zurich before they allowed us. This was different in Mumbai where Swiss had families with kids board early. The airbus was not well maintained as fara s cleanliness was concerned. There were bathroom supplies on the toilet floor. Crumbs and food particles on the seats/crevices from the earlier flight"

Nadelen: "COMFORT: Extremely challenging and expensive to get emergency exit seats (more leg room). For someone who is 6'5" (195cm) traveling can be very challenging in an economy seat."

Voordelen: "Upgraded to business class. Very professional and attentive crew."

Voordelen: "The captain refused to turn on the AC until we were just about to leave. Many passengers were complaining. The crew refused to help or do anything. Then during the flight they kept the air flow down to a minimum so again it was boiling hot. DON'T FLY Swiss Air if you like normal temperatures!"

Nadelen: "Checking in we had a nasty representative, but other than that, all was well"

Voordelen: "that the movie stayed on while people were filing out which made it less frantic and more chill. the lines at immigration were terrible"

Nadelen: "The boarding process is a little chaotic for the economy cabin since there is no distinctions by zone or seat row. The result is a bit of a surge when they first announce the boarding of the cabin."

Nadelen: "Flight was delayed for no particular reason. The entertainment system is terrible - it was interrupting (freezing) the movie every several minutes making it almost impossible to watch."

Voordelen: "The crew were great. They did the best they could given the circumstances. We got a compensation voucher because of all the trouble on the flight. That's something, though it's not super useful for the occasional traveler on SWISS (2000 miles and more bonus miles or CHF 50 travel voucher)."
Nadelen: "The plane arrived in Boston 50 minutes late, because we left Zurich late. That was because we were waiting on people to make a connection. Which was probably because their SWISS flight was late. Why are all SWISS flights running late??? There was no coffee or tea on the flight because there was a problem with the electrical system of the hot water machines. That could have been fixed before we left.... The entertainment system is clunky, and it didn't help that it had to be rebooted (took 20 minutes !?!?) in the middle of the flight to deal with some 'isssues'. The big boxes with the entertainment system underneath the seats are not fun either, they really cut into legroom. In general, it seems this plane is in need of a bit of an overhaul and maintenance. And whatever happened to Swiss punctuality? I'm not used to SWISS flights being late. You can do much better than that, you used to!"

Voordelen: "That I was able to get the front seat with the extra legroom at no extra charge. I also liked that the take off and landing were smooth. As was the flight in general. Also, the Swiss chocolate was good."
Nadelen: "The seats are so narrow and uncomfortable! The overnight flight from Boston to Zurich was the most uncomfortable flight I've ever experienced. There is no legroom. And the seats are incredibly narrow. When the person in front of me had their seat reclining I had even less room. Horrible. The only reason the flight from Zurich to Boston wasn't quite as bad was because I was able to get the seat by the exit aisle with extra legroom. The food was terrible. It didn't taste like real food. It looked and tasted totally artificial. Overall, a very poor experience."

Voordelen: "Plenty of empty seats so it was much more relaxing."
Nadelen: "Seats are pretty crammed in (per usual) and on this leg of flight there were no overhead air flow things, so I couldn't get any air to blow on me. Prior flight did have them so I guess it depends on which plane design you are on. Air flow would be good on all planes."

Voordelen: "Loved the entertainment options, and pretty Good food!"

Voordelen: "Got an entire row to myself so I could lay down and sleep! Thank god! Flight smooth and attendants were kind. I was on a connection and thought I was going to miss my flight but thankfully they wait or all passengers from connections to board (from delayed flights arriving)."
Nadelen: "I am gluten-free and there was really no options for me to eat. However, the attendants offered me two of the snacks on board that were GF in lieu of a meal. Unfortunate there was no real food I could eat, but the snacks were appreciated."

Voordelen: "Nice blanket."
Nadelen: "I told the stewardess I had 2 broken ribs and a badly injured leg. She seated me at my seat with - some metal box under the seat in front of me so I couldn't get my feet under it at all! Then she tells me not to put my feet in the aisle! That seat should only be sold to a child! Terrible food. I'm terrible "snacks" of pretzels, it was so insulting."

Nadelen: "Due to overbooking or other reason, we were sent to Frankfurt instead. We were not notified prior to departure at all. I'm trying to reach Swiss customer support for 7 days, no luck."

Voordelen: "The crew was very friendly, the food was pretty good (especially the chocolate at the end). I had a shore layover of fifty minutes and was able to transfer very easily in the Zurich with plenty of time, and my bags made it too!"
Nadelen: "For the last half hour or so of the flight I had water dripping on me from up above which was really uncomfortable. A woman in the seat behind me complained that she was all wet too. Not sure if there is a way to fix this, I'm assuming it's condensation, but it did make a bad end to an overall pretty good flight."

Voordelen: "Wonderful , helpful crew , smooth flight Perfect !"

Nadelen: "I was flying from CDG to LGD and my bag was lost, yet the baggage claim system showed it arrived...... Thankful I packed some essentials in my carry on. The bigger issue will be dealing with my medical insurance company to get medications replaced that were in the checked bag."

Nadelen: "The entertainment screens have an (older) head phone jack that many people do not have. The headphones available for purchase by the airline are of very poor quality. I also am surprised that airlines (not just Delta) continue to provide such low quality food options on flights. I think consumers would pay more for better options."

Il serai intéressant de demander, lors de l'enregistrement, si nous avons des préférences de siège. Tout va si vite que nous n'avons pas le temps d'y penser...et il est ensuite trop tard."

Voordelen: "Even though we were in the very back row, we did not experience a foul smell from the restrooms. This was a very nice relief. It is bad enough that the seats don't recline and there is no window in the very back row but prior experience with the added nausea of foul restroom order has been a serious insult to injury. In this case there was really minimal odor. Also since we are traveling as a family we are very happy that we were seated together. We have experienced the past that sometimes our seats will be fragmented and that creates major challenges when you are traveling with young children. However on this particular flight the ride was rough during both takeoff and landing, a lot of side to side shimmy. Also the cabin pressure varied quite a bit during landing causing all the kids to complain about some discomfort in their ears."

Nadelen: "Small regional plane that was over 3 hours late in departing NY because of weather issues much earlier in the day. Delta did not permit any re-bookings to other delayed flights that were leaving in the intervening period, even though there were empty seats. Very frustrating."

Voordelen: "It was my husband's birthday and the stewardess (red dress, long brown hair) went out of her way to make him feel special by bringing champagne, cookies and even chocolate once we were getting off the plane. I was very touched."

Voordelen: "Pilot got us back safe through some bad turbulence, the flight was shaky from start to finish. They gave extra snacks, were attentive to any needs. Would definitely trust Delta pilots again. Also with this being a connecting flight, it was nice that the group of five I was in was given an entire row to ourselves."

Voordelen: "Flew delta a few days ago and this wasn't an issue but you've gotta do better on the wifi and tv front. Part of my decision to fly delta is entertainment."
Nadelen: "Wifi was too slow to stream (audio only) a live sporting event. No satellite tv for the entire flight with no announcement - I had to ask the crew twice what was up."

Nadelen: "Flight departure was delayed almost 30 minutes for "baggage," but Delta still managed to leave many passengers' luggage in Amsterdam. Desk agent guaranteed baggage delivery within 24 hours. 4 days and 3 airports later, my bag reached my hotel. Fly Air France instead. The food is better and they won't lose your luggage."

Voordelen: "In terms of things I liked flying with UA998 from Brussels to EWR: The boarding staff at Brussels airport was helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. Boarding procedure was smooth even with the extra security screening at the gate."
Nadelen: "It was quickly clear to me that the passengers where simply an inconvenience to some of the crew on UA998. As an example I fell asleep during take off and woke up in the middle of the meal service. The cart was only a couple of rows behind me in the half-ful Economy Plus section so I got up and tried to get the attention of the staff. The lady turned around and confirmed that "I had woken up" with a sigh, as is not only was it inconvenient to her that I was a sleep, now I had the nerves to actually ask for a meal. She presented me with the options of pasta and chicken and I politely asked what they where served with. She straight out said that "she really did not know that" and asked me to make a choice. I wont get into any other examples, the machine was half full at best and there was no stress, so frustrating to be treated like you are an inconvenience to the USA based staff who clearly just wanted to be left alone. The entertainment system barely worked, the touch monitor was very hard to operate - the pressure sensitive functionality was not working properly but I managed to get to my movie and avoid the Chinese subtitles in the third try. I fly United because it's part of Star Alliance, but otherwise I would try and avoid at all cost."

Nadelen: "Lufthansa had a 2.5 h delay on the trip Turin-Munich which means that would would lose the connection Munich Boston. They said that all other connecting flights to Boston with any airline were booked and they refused to look for space in a different class. So they sent us to Paris, from Paris to New York, we had to spend the night in NY and then fligh in the morning to Boston. All this with an exhausted 8 year old kid. They could have resolved it with an upgrade since there was room in business class but they refused, and did not care to make us have a 30 h trip. Horrible horrible horrible"

Nadelen: "Now that I know that Lufthansa has had to cancel flights 13 times in the past two years due to strikes, I will avoid booking with them in the future. I did not find out about the cancellation until I tried to check in 20 hours before take off. Called over 100 times, but never got through to customer service. I had to re-book at the airport after waiting in line for an hour, which was not done correctly and required another re-booking at the gate. And they couldn't check me in on my new flights, so I had to wait in another hour-long queue at my layover."

Voordelen: "Boarding was good....overhead room for carry-ons probably due to a less than full flight. The entertainment was varied, current movies, and wide selection of music. The crew was as efficient as possible and accommodating. However, we all have learned not to expect much."
Nadelen: "Comfort is lacking as is the case with jammed seating on all planes these days. It would be nice to be able to recline the seat, but since I resent it being done to me, I do not do it either out of respect for the passenger behind me."

Nadelen: "Two major problems, when we went to check in, we stood in line and were very rudely told by some German British Airways attendent that we couldn't check in with them and that we needed to go to Aer Lingus, this even though our reservations were through British Airways. Second, despite my efforts over a few months to make seat reservations, my daughter and i were separated. Aer Lingus reps in rome fixed that and I was very, very grateful for that, but when we got to the Dublin/Boston leg of our flight, they couldn't or wouldn 't fix the seating issue. On board the plane though, the flight attendents arranged for my daughter and I to sit together. Really upset me that I didn't know until the very last minute, on the plane, whether I was going to be able to sit next to my child."

Voordelen: "Our experience is a bit atypical; we were upgraded to first class. So, everything was incredibly wonderful. Thank you for that unexpected treat! We might be spoiled for life..."

Nadelen: "Monitors for flight data and movies kept freezing up. Questions about seating were not answered correctly when getting boarding passes. Asking for donations for UNICEF on board. Paying for alcohol drinks, usually international flights you don't. Food was really bad. Pre declaration went on forever and couldn't get a gate number. The list could go on and on. We travel a lot, first and last time with this company. Oh and TSA people had an attitude problem. Never experienced this before."

Nadelen: "Very uncomfortable!"

Voordelen: "Free wifi card but it was too slow to stream"

Nadelen: "One hour late"

Nadelen: "We landed at Logan early, but then had to wait for a gate. We still arrived at the gate a little ahead of schedule."

Nadelen: "The booking company Just Fly is terrible. They wouldn't let me change or even cancel my ticket."

Voordelen: "Staff - attitude and so forth. All was done nicely"

Voordelen: "They do have some great movies to watch for transatlantic flights and most of the crew was nice."
Nadelen: "When the crew was doing coffee service I asked if I could have water instead and I was told no we're just doing tea and coffee. One of the other attendants heard my request and made sure I got water. Our flight took off almost an hour late. Thankfully we had no connecting flights but others did and they were concerned about missing them. If I were to fly Aer Lingus again I would not buy the ticket through a 3rd party. After receiving more than we expected for wedding gifts we wanted to upgrade our tickets to first class. I called Aer Lingus they said no because we bought from a 3rd party and to go through them. The 3rd party fly.com wanted to charge us $700 per ticket for a change fee on top of the price difference for the tickets. So talking to Aer Lingus again they suggested we try at the airport to upgrade. When we got to the airport the person at check-in told us it would cost us $4000 each to upgrade because Aer Lingus is trying to detur people from upgrading at the airport and they run a lottery for upgrades which we were not entitled to buying from a 3rd party. So basically we could not upgrade unless we wanted to pay thousands more then what the ticket cost was to begin with. Not good business practice if you ask me. When going back to Europe I will spend a little more money on a better airline. Last their food is awful. The free food and the food you have to pay for is all terrible."

Voordelen: "On time !!! Great service during the flight"
Nadelen: "No Irish ale on an Irish airline!!! Two choices from Spain and Holland!"

Voordelen: "Great value and wonderful crew and equipment. Would recommend this airline to anyone."
Nadelen: "find a different airport to fly into or demand a better experience for flyers."

Nadelen: "Barely any leg room. When I hit the reclined seat in front of me a few times by accident the girl in front of me complained and I was yelled at by the flight attendant! Positively awful!"

Nadelen: "The passenger in front of me was extremely large and kept leaning back. Being tall, I did not have enough room for my legs. The beef for dinner was forgettable."

Voordelen: "Luggage was delivered, although very slow to arrive at carrousel"
Nadelen: "Luggage fees were excessively higher. Paid €75 per checked in bag one way! This was because our tickets were “on sale” and didn’t include any checked in baggage."

Voordelen: "Excelent fly! No deley! Excelent crew! Good food!"

Voordelen: "Excellent layout, excellent service."

Voordelen: "Modern airplane"
Nadelen: "1h late. Non reclining seats."

Voordelen: "All good. No complaints."
Nadelen: "$40 charge for carry on."

Nadelen: "The sound for the movies did not work at my seat or my wife's seat."

Nadelen: "Me and my girlfriend were seated in the middle in a 4 seat combination. I asked the crew member to move us on an aisle seat. Even though there were plenty of aisle seats open, the crew member just kinda ignored us. The old lady sitting next to me just slept the whole time and I could not get out to the bathroom. Also since I am left handed I could not really eat since with the right-handed old lady we were hitting each other's elbow and nocking each the food out of each other's hand, I finally pulled my elbow in and ate like a T-Rex. The person in front of me pushed their seat back all the way, I asked the crew member to do something but nothing really was done, since I am a little taller I could not fit my knees, they were crushed."

Voordelen: "Same as above."
Nadelen: "Same as above."

Voordelen: "Crew was friendly and great!"
Nadelen: "TVs did not work, no sound/frozen on games"

Voordelen: "75 Euro per bag!!!"

Nadelen: "The boarding was delayed"

Voordelen: "good movies for the long flight. friendly staff."

Voordelen: "Check-in and baggage drop was fast. Food was good. Cabin crew did their job. Economy plus seats are comfortable and leg room was ok (I'm 1,84m tall). So, smooth and easy flight."
Nadelen: "We arrived with 20 Minutes delay...and it was just the first shuttle of the day... could have been better"

Voordelen: "The only airline that makes me feel like a human being and not a piece of baggage. Very comfortable seating with good legroom for tall people like me. Attendants treat you with respect and are responsive to requests."
Nadelen: "Gate number was different from what was on my ticket and the tv screen at the original gate didn't indicate where the new gate was supposed to be. Don't need that kind of stress when traveling!"

Nadelen: "The boarding process seemed very unorganized. The people and police that were working weren't friendly at all."

Voordelen: "In the air excellent"
Nadelen: "On the ground, poor communication"

Nadelen: "1. Food. I think that sandwich and juice are not enough for 3 hours flight that costs 130 euros. 2. Departure time. The flight was delayed for more than 1 hours. When we arrived at Schiphol it was night already and trains to towns around were super rare. So we came in home at 3 a.m. instead of the planned 1 a.m."

Voordelen: "Seat comfort and entertainment."
Nadelen: "Kosher food was poor. They need a different supplier and better food for their business class customers."

Voordelen: "The flight attendants were very professional and helpful. The food wad good."
Nadelen: "There is nothing that I did not like."

Nadelen: "Too much security check at the airport due to the U S Homeland requirements"

Voordelen: "I couldn't have been more impressed. Great food and drink and service. Terrific entertainment options and a comfortable ride across the Atlantic."

Voordelen: "It is comparatively inexpensive for business class."
Nadelen: "You get what you pay for! Boarding was very disorganized. Lot of standing around for no good reason. Food and drink service was mediocre -- they ran out of stuff."

Voordelen: "The plane both took off AND landed. Bom!"
Nadelen: "Lisbon Airport needs best practices tidy up: layout, cleanliness, boarding process is not good. Passport Control is much improved over last summer: all positions were manned today!"

Voordelen: "I was lucky enough to be awarded an upgrade to Business Class on this flight... Relieving the tension of overbooking in economy..I guess my lucky day.."

Voordelen: "Crew, plane, service."
Nadelen: "Terribly long line in Lisbon airport to check in."

Voordelen: "Comfortable seats, no extra charge for blanket and pillow, gluten-free meal was quite good, provided water throughout the long flight, in-flight entertainment offered fairly recent movies, cabin crew were respectful."

Voordelen: "Efficient, courteous flight attendants"

Nadelen: "Paid $130 for 2 extra spac s acts. Didn't have any extra space. Had a woman in front of me who reclined her seat all the way for he whole flight. Had to have on of he crew to ask her to put her sat forward for the food service part of th flight."

Voordelen: "My flight was punctual, the seats are comfortable, steady take off and landing"

Voordelen: "TAP counter staff helped get seat assignments for knee injury. New aircraft with good video system and comfortable seats in Economy Plus. Crew was helpful. Food OK. Arrived on time."
Nadelen: "Not TAP's fault, but long lines at customs and security at Lisbon Airport made us run to arrive at gate for next flight. Again, not TAP's fault, but additional security check at the waiting area, opening carry-on baggage and emptying my purse seemed over the top."

Voordelen: "Excellent crew and pilot."
Nadelen: "No entertainment."

Nadelen: "See above"

Voordelen: "They did beautiful jap thank you so much for your service ."

Voordelen: "Food. Movies. Recliner in business class. Assistance when i had a stroke in Portugal"

Voordelen: "Meal was good, and they gave us a snack since it was a long, trans-Atlantic flight. Crew was friendly."

Nadelen: "Horrible food , worst flight attendants , boarding was a joke . Star alliance needs to cut them !"

Voordelen: "The entertainment system was standard. The food was ok."
Nadelen: "At the check in, despite that I have a swiss passport, 5)3 hostess looked solely at my face and assumed I need avisa and asked me three times for my visa. On the flight, blankets are removed 20-30 minutes before landing during which I was freezing. Upon arrival, my new bag i hadnt used as yet was broken and TAP pays nothing and does no kind of exchange for broken bags. Basically- they dont care! During my return flight, despite being checked in adn being at the airport wel ahead of time, the airport clerks gyided me to the wrong desk and I had to wait longer than needed. The check in for baggages had closed by 1 min. They were allowing me to take the flight only if I threw out all my liquids or else were off loading me. They proposed no other solution and wanted to make me pay 450 dollara to put me on the flight the next day. I had an interview the following day and needed to return. I ended buying a new full fare ticket with British airways and got excellent service. I am yet to complain to TAP."

Nadelen: "The crew was rude, after 5 hours they seemed annoyed when I asked for water and gave me half a cup after I had just finished vomitting due to all the swaying of the aircraft. While we were landing, we came over the runway maybe 100 feet off the ground then jetted back up and circled around the airport for 20 minutes before landing horribly...with NO explaination. Everyone started vomitting because the landing (both times) were so horrible. Our first flight was late, we landed when the second was 'closing the doors', they never updated the monitors or informed the crew that the second plane was also delayed (by over an hour), so we rushed through customs and ran through the airport only to discover they hadn't even started boarding yet, even though the screen said it had departed. Completely disorganized."

Nadelen: "They had no record of my order for a vegetarian meal. I was served some fish but it was terrible. I couldn't determine what the grainy side dish was."

Nadelen: "They lost my luggage. What else is there to tell????"

Voordelen: "As noted above"

Nadelen: "TAP rebooked on SATA flight to Boston. There was no inflight entertainment for a 7 hr flight! not even one small TV where you could watch. The food was chicken but it came with pork which i cannot eat. Upon arrival to Boston they lost my luggage and did not seemed concerned when i reported it. There were several outfits for family members for a religious holiday in a few days. They promised a call back regarding my luggage but they never called. The number i was given didnt work. I had to call several numbers before i was able to find someone to discuss my luggage with. The lady on the phone told me it was probably because I switched from TAP to SATA. However I didnt choose this change, TAP rebooked me. They could not assure me they would find or call me back. i ended up getting it back 6 days later. without an appology or any kind of compensation."

Voordelen: "The crew at least he gate and the crew on the plane were very courtenous and professional. The food was very good -it wasnt the same old airplane food. The flight attendants constantly came around with water"
Nadelen: "The entertainment for the plane ride was not working for the entire plane-for a ling 7+ hour flight its not very comfortable/good."

Voordelen: "The flight crew was very friendly and polite. We were frequently offered something to drink, and the food was good. I enjoyed having earbuds in my seat so I could listen to music or watch TV. There was a good selection of movies and shows to choose from."
Nadelen: "Slight turbulence, but I doubt that could be helped."

Voordelen: "POM"
Nadelen: "Entertainment screen did not function. Snug seating No vegan food"

Voordelen: "The crew was very friendly and accommodating to all requests. The in flight entertainment is great with new movies, shows, music, and etc available. Definitely will keep you entertained and distracted for the entirely of the flight."
