There is not much good to say. Boarding process is time consuming, food should improve a lot and entertainment choices are limited and outdated.

Food was not as good as it used to be during the Pre-Covid years. Fruits were not served with Lunch or Dinner.

Voordelen: "Singapore Airlines has everything worked out for you before you land. That's a great help. The stewardesses were just phenomenal and endlessly polite. I will definitely use them again."
Nadelen: "As much as I normally nitpick something, I literally have no criticism at all of Singapore Airlines. Everything they did was a step above everyone else."

Better value than Lufthansa or American, for the overall flight experience. You could fly cheaper, but not better, in economy."
Nadelen: "Though we landed early at JFK, we had a one hour wait on the tarmac until one of the only two gates capable of receiving an A380 opened up."

Nadelen: "My flight was delayed by 2 hours so I missed my connecting flight in Singapore. There was a huge queue of people who missed their connecting flight cos of an accident in the runway. The airline did nothing to prepare for this situation. It took hours to get another flight organised, communication was non existent and refreshments took ages to come. Airline didn't help with finding a hotel for stranded passengers."

Nadelen: "The Manchester stopover was just a lot of standing in lines. From Manchester to Singapore, the plane was full and my seat mates didn't get up when we needed out. So, we escaped to the back for a while where we were "hushed" by a stewardess. The stewards didn't seem to like it when we were out of our seats, but 12 hours is too long to be stuck in a middle seat."

Nadelen: "It’s ridiculous that Cheaptickets (your contracted agent) did not answer the phone to change flights. And when they did answer the phone, charged extortionate change fees above and beyond Qantas fees even during the coronavirus pandemic."

After booking through KAYAK for flights, the on-line check-in process was a nightmare with the KAYAK booking number not matching the information required by QANTAS. As my children were all spread over the plane, and two son's look very similar, a hostess almost did not serve one of my son's a meal as she believed my son had already received a meal further forward in the plane. Thankfully, upon checking, the hostess realised that it was a case of mistaken identity."

Nadelen: "Was seated in the center section and after getting settled and buckled in I kept smelling vomit and realized the seatbelt had dried vomit all over it. I couldn't get the flight attendant to help and finally got their attention and was told they couldn't do anything until after we were in the air. I was moved away from my family to another center seat. The flight had many open seats and we should have been kept together."

Voordelen: "All the good qualities are there. Check in was a breeze and very friendly handling our surfboard. However, the plane is old and needs a refurbishment, I can't believe how small the personal screens are! Whilst the crew were very friendly, always searching for a specific drink you request, but the food quality was average - I'm taking my own sandwich next time."

Nadelen: "One negative experience was that there was only 1hr 30mins between connecting flights. Between departing international flight - picking up luggage/toilet stop and clearing Immigration/Customs then catching bus between Qantas international domestic terminals we were racing to catch flight. As we arrived Qantas domestic terminal our names were being called over along with info the plane was awaiting our arrival. In my experience 2hrs is minimum time between connecting flights - otherwise good experience."
Voordelen: "As I stated previously, I am blind and found the special assistance Qantas offers invaluable. Every crew member I interacted with was polite, thoughtful, warm, attentive, and extremely helpful."
Voordelen: "They made us sit in the plane for close to 4 hours without any food. I almost passed out as the plane was so warm (AC broken) and they didn't give us anything except a small cup of water. The delayed made me miss my connection which couldn't be rearranged."

Nadelen: "Do you really need to be provided with a meal at 11pm just after departure? A decent snack pack would be a better get, and allow people to get to sleep."

Nadelen: "Same as ALWAYS - Beijing baggage pickup is an absolute joke. Takes forever and it is generally mayhem in the baggage hall. They really need to get ahold of this space and the behaviour of Chinese travelers."

Nadelen: "Surbooking à l'embarquement, aucune info, un scandale. Seulement un petit déjeuner (très moyen) servi pour la totalité d’un vol de plus de 6h, quand les autres compagnies servent un vrai repas et une collation Aucune trousse en classe économie, ni un masque, ni une brosse à dents"
Voordelen: "Etihad crew are awesome. The A380 is the best plane in the skies"
Nadelen: "Free upgrade to business class? Because everything was perfect!"
Nadelen: "Le racket de cette compagnie commence dès l'enregistrement. Nous étions en famille avec deux enfants. Premier bonheur de devoir payer 63 euros de plus pour éviter d'être disséminés aux 4 coins de l'avion, le système par défaut ayant fait cela !!! Deuxième bonheur l'avion est en fait quasi vide.."
Voordelen: "On time flight"
Nadelen: "There are a number of things that Etihad do that just degrade the quality and experience of the flight and I probably wouldn’t fly with them again as a result. I’ve listed these below: 1) Entertainment system is poorly appointed and travel in two seperate months found that little had been refreshed on the in flight programs. 2) The entertainment system is deactivated until the seat belt sign is turned off, and is deactivated again about 30 minutes prior to landing. 3) You practically have to cut off your arm to get some water. I would always bring my own water on the flight, but Australian regulations prevent more than 100mls being carried on flight. 4) The service is inconsistent, some staff are just downright rude and others are incredibly friendly. The time waiting after pressing the call bell is excessive and in one case my drink never arrived. 5) Unlike other airlines, they don’t give you a “menu” to chose from for the inflight meal. Instead they just come around asking “Chicken, Lamb or vegetarian”, and lack any real understanding of what’s actually in the food. 6) When you order a drink, they open the can pour some into a cup but don’t give you the remainder in the can. 7) The inflight wifi is expensive. 19.95 USD for 180mb puts them at one of the most expensive. Overall, I would have expected a bit more from an airline such as Etihad."

Voordelen: "That there was a vegetarian meal on the second leg of my travel. And that the journey is over. Besides that, not much"
Nadelen: "1 hour delay to begin with. Then trasfer area at Abu Dhabi was utter chaos. While it's suffocatingly crowded, there was no A.C! No vegetarian option for meal on the flight from Brussels to Abu Dhabi. The seats hurt by bottom. One of the worst flight seats ever. All in all, a totally underwhelming experience."
Voordelen: "I found the crews and their services good. Food served was tasty and healthy."
Nadelen: "The seat layout wasnt good. In a Boeing 777-300ER generaly the seat layout is 3-3-3 in a row, where as in etihad aircraft it was 3-4-3 in the economy. Th seat was very congested for a long haul flight."
Nadelen: "There was a airplane change that delayed the flight by 4 hours. No compensation was offered. Entertainment volume was too low even at max level"

Nadelen: "So i was with ticketing requesting for seating, and she said run run your flight is leaving , i did not get proper seat and i ran to find out it was NYC flight and not DC. I asked more than one Eithihqd personeel and they did not know the difference bewtween Nyac flight and DC flight . Then came back to request for seating and they again made believe my security will be declines if i waste timein requesting seating. Got a flight between 2 males for a 15 hour flight and a run across the airport with a heart problem . I will never fly Eithihqd and also will not recommend to anyone"

Nadelen: "On the dreamliner flights they have tried to cram a ton of seats in so if your over 5'8 you'll be very cramped with your knees under the seats and a strange headrest jammed I to your shoulder. I fly about 20 or 30k miles a year in economy and this is easily the most uncomfortably designed seat I've been in. More over the staff was incredibly dismissive and rude to all I witnessed then keep a older woman waiting for 45 mins for water and then dismiss her when she asked a second time. The check in staff was no better."
Nadelen: "Food is not good, poor quality."
Voordelen: "Friendly crew."
Nadelen: "The flight had TOo few restrooms. About 4 for 250 people or so. There was at least a 15 minute wait at almost any given time."
Voordelen: "Après une heure dans l'avion sans climatisation malgré un personnel de bord irréprochable (distribution de boissons) on nous annonce le débarquement, diriger et abandonne dans un terminal malgré un repas offert, pas d'information après renseignement auprès d'un accompagnant de tour operator j'apprend qu'il faut se rendre à la même porte où nous embarqueront avec 4 heures de retard. Un grand merci au personnel de cabine mais le responsable au sol .... Mais en plus de 10 vol Ave Etihad c'est ma seul mauvaise expérience et de plus j'ai payer 200fr pour changer de vol et arriver 4 h 30 plus tôt résultat gagné 30 minutes oups"

Nadelen: "Le vol était complet et nous nous sommes vu proposés éventuellement un vol AF direct en remplacement. Après notre acceptation, en dernière minute, nous avons finalement embarqué sur ETIHAD. Là fut notre erreur car lors de la correspondance à Abu dhabi nous étions de nouveau surbooké à 23h00 ! malgré nos borading pass. Au bout de 2h de négociation nous avons obtenu une chambre d'hotel de 1h du matin à 6h.... pour reprendre le vol suivant à 8h30.... Aucune indemnisation, ni surclassement, as même un code wifi .... COMPAGNIE A EVITER A TOUT PRIS, c'est du LOW COST et le SAV est CATASTROPHIQUE. Nadelen: "One of my luggage pieces was lost, and not found for 3 days. Filling out forms for the lost luggage took several hours."

Nadelen: "We got rerouted through Singapore for an unscheduled stop, had a flight crew change which added 3 hours onto the flight which caused me to nearly miss my connecting flight to Bahrain. I did make the flight being the last person to board, but my bag did not."

Voordelen: "I sat in the aisle seat so it was fairly roomy. The movies selection was very good."
Nadelen: "The Air Hostess was fairly rude to one particular passenger. Given that that passenger was fairly aggressive in asking for children kits, and the Air Hostess was doing her best to inform her that she has to give them all to the children first. Unfortunately it was very condescending the way she talked to the said lady. I felt that it could have been handle better. The guy next to me, his On Flight entertainment wasn't working. i felt bad for him."
