Nadelen: "Boarding process seems standard - always takes a long time to board and disembark. Older planes have screens with poor touchscreen responsiveness and poor resolution. I was surprised to see that the short-haul flights had better screens than the long-haul flights. I was on a 3 1/2 hour flight each way from Dubai/Delhi with beautiful screens but the long-haul each way from Dubai/Seattle had the crappy screens."

Voordelen: "The flight certainly lived up to its reputation as being one of the nicest airlines to fly, even in being in economy. Great service, great food, great on board entertainment."
Nadelen: "There was an incident prior to take off where a passenger in first class had to be removed from the plane. Though it’s certainly not the airlines fault that there was an issue with a passenger, they should’ve been a lot more transparent and gave us a lot more information on what exactly was going on other then “we need to go back to a special area to get this passenger off.” Couple that with the security checks to “make sure there is nothing on the plane that shouldn’t be” and very little explanation of what actually occurred, it made for a very stressful flight. Not knowing if this passenger had made any kind of threat against the plane, or safety of other passengers... etc, it was very hard to feel safe for the remainder of my trip being left in the dark as the incident occurred in first class."

In addition, a kid was seated behind me and repeatedly (and I do mean repeatedly) kicked me in the back and slammed the tray table into my back. The crew found me another seat and were extremely nice about it."
Nadelen: "My request for vegan food was lost - it is hard to feel comfortable for that long of a time period just eating fruit. (This is even after the crew from the previous flight tried to remedy the situation by notifying them.)"
Voordelen: "Overall, Emirates is an incredible flying experience, we just got unlucky on this turn. The food is quite incredible, the entertainment bar-none the best and the amenities makes you feel like you're in business class."

Nadelen: "Flight was very delayed. Crew did very little to manage expectations or let us know why we were so delayed - on top of that, there was no special treatment for being delayed over 2 hours. Crew was polite, but not overly friendly or helpful."

Indian food / Vegetarian meal / Asian vegetarian Meal options are varied and can be filtered to basic but classic food options that can make not just me but there are lot of people like me have a good experience with food. even the fruit platter ordered was not appealing."

Food choices chicken, steak, and stuffed zucchini all are nasty. Also, I was told that business class luggage comes out first that wasn't true on both leg of the trip. Also, I wasn't told that I have a lounge to hang out until the boarding time. In my way back it was same exact food menu service is mediocre at best very demanding flight attendants. Also the luggage came out towards the end . I told my friend I travelled with that this would be my last time to use Emirates airline"

I love to travel Emirates because of top quality service by their ground staff and in flight crew.."

The boarding experience could not be more anachronistic - every gem and precious metal under the sun is given priority (emerald card??) and it is just about left unsaid that the final people allowed to board are the Plebs. What a dispiriting experience and one I now have to repeat after the demise of Monarch, who were so much better."

Nadelen: "80+ year old disabled person placed in aisle seat next to me (middle). She was sweet and thoughtful, but couldn't even rise from her seat without assistance. This pinned the window passenger and me in our seats for 8.5 hours with only one bathroom break -- the stuff out of nightmares and ABSOLUTELY UNFORGIVABLE! Of course, crew would not accommodate any changes. ** Why should I ever choose BA again? ** (Seriously, I'd like to hear your answer.) Food nutrition -- generally tasty, but carb-heavy, fatty and salty. A de facto salad meal option would have been appreciated."

Nadelen: "Everything except the crew. The airplane interior was ancient and would be better served with Allegiant aircraft and not something that should be on a so called premium route by a once premium company. I would honestly recommend anyone fly Thomas Cook or TUI or even Norwegian before flying British Airways 777s as they are ancient wrecks with no value proposition. I would recommend going by boat before flying British Airways 772. The only time I would recommend flying any of the 772s from British Airways was if walking was your only other choice and even then a nice pair of trainers would probably be more comfortable."

Nadelen: "we sat on the tarmac for over an hour before taking over. there was no offer of any drinks for this entire time. the "business class" seats were the same as economy, just with the middle seat blocked. the meal was closer in quality to bad meals i've had in economy class than anything i've ever had in business class."

Voordelen: "we got a 787 dreamliner, the coach seats had good space between rows, so we had enough legroom. food - dinner - was tasty, and breakfast was plain but was completely OK. entertainment was excellent, lots of new movies, and also older movies and TV programs. crew was courteous and very helpful, and boarding was quick and smooth. all in all, a very positive experience."
Voordelen: "I require a wheelchair for getting around the airport. When I first checked in at LHR, they claimed to have no record of my wheelchair request and my seat change, despite my very clear notations of who and when these were made. They did have a record of my paying for one suitcase. The agent at LHR promised to make these corrections so I would not have the same problem when returning to London. Furthermore, to turn this into a humiliating situation, at the gate I was informed that the jetway was broken and they would have to find some other way to get me onboard the plane. I cannot believe that British Airways has no contingency plan for a situation like mine. After many discussions between BA reps and ground crewmen they decided to bring me down in a lift at Gate 34, though my plane was at Gate 32. I was then loaded onto the freight platform of one of those food delivery trucks and driven over to my plane. The truck backed into place and again I hoisted up to the plane. However the plane door was locked and we had to bang on it for them to finally open it. To my great embarrassment I helped down the aisle to my assigned seat, looking back at the curious looks and glares from all those passengers who had no explanation for the delay and humiliating scene. Officially the flight was listed at 28 minutes late, when in reality it was 40 minutes till we taxied away from the gate My return flight from Brussels was little better because the changes that were supposed to have been entered at LHR never were and so I had to go through this whole routine again costing me over one hour in delays. Fortunately I was able to board the flight through the jetway and did not have to be hoisted up again, and delivered like freight. How would you rate these flights. I had problems with every single British Airways flight!!"

Voordelen: "The flight was one hour delayed however the captain was extremely good in 1)explaining in details the reason for the delay (air traffic control and parking slot issues) 2) allowing us to take pics in the cockpit! It turned out to be a memorable experience! In terms of customer care, it doesn't get any better, thanks captain!"

Nadelen: "3 hour delay, no communication with customers regarding delay or connection. Once we finally arrived st Heathrow for the 2nd leg of our journey, we were put on a later connection, no apologies whatsoever from any of the employees. Overall we spent over 4 hours in the air. We were never served even a glass of water or a bag of pretzels. The seats were very tight with very little leg room, and I am only a 5'6" female."
Voordelen: "The cabin crew were excellent."
Nadelen: "Almost everything else! The entertainment system had screens that were the size of postage stamps - and bragged that there were 375 selections. Compare with Emirates, a screen 10x the size, much higher quality, and over 3500 selections. The seats had little padding - a mediocre experience from an airline that should be able to do better."
Nadelen: "Boarding the plane. I do not know why the airlines load the people who are at the front of the plane first. Load the people on the back of the plane first. That way, when you call the next section, the people in the back are not blocking people as they enter. An alternative is to call people in sections based on where they sit in a row. If you have window seat, you should be called first. Why? Because so many passengers who have aisle seats have to get up to let people with middle or window seats get in. So, they hold traffic up as people are trying to get to their seats. After window seat passengers get called, then call middle seat passengers, and last, call aisle seat passengers."
Nadelen: "Never again will I fly with this airline! Had a horrible flight , food, service going from Chicago to Athens with portion of the plain empty and same thing again back."
Voordelen: "I was prepared with my smart phone and iPad and external batteries, turns out I needed none of those things! What a pleasant surprise for the in flight movies, music and tv to be perfect. I didn't even have to use my external battery on the flight because there is a perfect USB port in the screen in front of you. The food was as good as airplane good gets, the plane incredibly comfortable and staff was attentive. I don't love the long flights but this BA flight is now my go to anytime Im headed to Europe."
Voordelen: "I have nothing more to say about British Airways, What I have to say about British Airways is Excellent.In terms of customs services they are number one in the whole world."

Nadelen: "Weinig te eten weinig te drinken voor zo'n lange vlucht. Geen geluid op entertainment"
Nadelen: "The seats on this British Airways flight were so tight and pitched forward that my knees were jammed into the seat in front of me and I felt as if I was being launched forward the entire flight. Not comfortable or safe."
Nadelen: "Passengers need to DISTANCE 6' and keep their masks on. Which I realize is put of the hands of American. Appreciate the fresh white bag with a bottle of water and crackers. Thank you."
Nadelen: "Only negative is that the American Eagle flights must take a shuttle from the remote terminal."

Nadelen: "Even though I had a priority boarding I was told that I was suppose to stay with group 5. As a BA silver traveller I didn’t get the boarding priority."
Nadelen: "The flight attendant that helped passengers in the main cabin was rude, lacked empathy, and lacked resourcefulness. She argued about throwing away a drink that she poured, didn’t care to explain things to passengers when asked i. e. why charging outlets were not in service, and her tone was rude ..."
Voordelen: "Crew bemoeide zich op deze korte vlucht met niemand. Bracht wat te drinken rond. Verder niet."
Voordelen: "They had the decency to book a hotel after delaying the flight so long it made many people miss their connecting flight."
Nadelen: "Being more considerate to the customers and not changing gates last minutes or delaying the flight an hour before take off. Also not sending ones luggage on a later flight then having to wait to pick it up and find out it never arrived after you go speak to costumer service. Worst service ever!"
Nadelen: "Better customer service, no delays, respect for customers"
Nadelen: "4 gate changes, delayed delayed delayed. UGH. Sirens going off at gate no staff around to turn it off or talk to. Lady at counter very upset with pilot. We had a plane at the 2 gate but no flight crew. Next gate no plane but crew. Who organizes this? American airlines has some work to do!"
Nadelen: "Limited legroom is a problem. Otherwise, the flight was fine."
Nadelen: "The cliff notes of this debacle are, inbound flight arrived late to Montreal, I contacted AA social media team to make sure they could notify the gate of my connecting flight, they didn’t after they said they did. Flight arrived in Chicago a little early, I have to wait 15 min for my bags from the valet, I run to the next gate and arrive with 13 min to spare, the gate agent (not nice) goes I’m sorry we already closed the door. I’m like, huh? Then he has the gall to tell me, “well had someone called us we could of held your seat”. That’s when I lost it. Needless to say I’m now flying to Dayton and back to Dallas. That’s in lieu of a 3:50 PM flight TOMORROW!"

Nadelen: "Going the food was so ordinary and right after dinner crew kinda disappeared, got to get everything for yourself, even remove glasses with liquid during turbulence. Booked with BA but it was operated by AA. Never again, Coming back the food was better but was told they were out of fish, my husband on the other side of me was told they were out of chicken. when questioned, got a dumb answer. ran out of wine (red&White) Spain & France on a day flight & told us they have no control. Service sucks, except 1 nice fellow, who apologized. 6 bottles for 36 passengers. 1 crew had cold towel around his neck sitting, 1 doing crossword so we had to help ourselves. 1 crew saw something in the plane & screamed so hard woke up a sleeping pilot. 1 crew slept for 2 hrs and 1 watch TV for 1 hrs. NEVER VERY, IF I CAN AVOID IT, WILL I TRAVEL WITH AA. They own a lot of us more than an apology."

Voordelen: "Eventually, the actual flight was fine."
Nadelen: "Initially delayed by 3hours (mechanical) which was American Eagle couldn’t get their “bucket of bolts” to Springfield, MO on time so we missed our flight out of Charlotte to Barcelona. Then we were rerouted through Chicago, but lost our first class seats and were bumped back to coach. This was after I had bought first class tickets for the entire trip only to be told 3 months before leaving that AA decided to switch planes on our domestic flight so there’s were no first class seats. THEN, in Chicago we tried to get first class seats on British Airways which would have been fine but After being sent to another terminal (after the bus to that terminal had stopped running) we were turned back because British Airways wouldn’t accept the boarding pass that AA had issued us. Now, having to go back to the first terminal to DISCUSS all this, we miss that flight and wind up stuck in Chicago for another 24 hours. Then, that flight was delayed by 3 hours, so we lost a day and a half of our vacation."

Voordelen: "How the pilot flew faster from New Bern to Charlotte because we were 3 hours behind schedule, so I appreciate his effort."
Nadelen: "Right from the start, customer service was not compassionate in helping out. I was forced to leave my huge luggage behind in order to make it to the next available flight. In addition, American Airlines continued delaying their flight departure times like it was no big deal.. It was stressful for many passengers. This other woman and I had a second plane to get onto, and were worried that we wouldn’t be able to get to the next plane ride because the first plane ride was pushed back like around 10 times or so. This is my first experience with American Airlines, and absolutely do not have a good impression whatsoever. I do not support this airline because it is clear that they do not value their customer’s satisfaction, wellbeing, or schedules."

Nadelen: "Completely out of the crews control but we were stopped mid takeoff due to the cold weather and macchanical issues. I completely understand better safe than sorry but it was just very jarring having to be stopped mid takeoff rather than just triple checking while we were still on the ground."
Voordelen: "The check in agent was a complete &$@?(. I had luggage and asked if I there was a counter I could just go to. I was told no. After figuring out self check in at 5 am I had to tag my own bags then see her at the counter and reshow all my id etc. it would have been much easier to skip the self check in as o has asked. But that’s what I get for getting an American Airlines codeshare."
Nadelen: "American Airlines service was horrible, both on the ground and in the air."
Voordelen: "I did like that "new plane" smell. Good pretzels."
Nadelen: "Plane was too new; computer system hadn't been set right. Left 45 minutes late, though made up some lost time in the air. Very rude passengers (obviously not the airline's fault, I know). Everyone thinks they should be the first to get off the plane!"

Voordelen: "The screens for every seat are a lifesaver for traveling with young kids. We were well fed and comfortable for the flight."

Voordelen: "It was a larger plane than the first leg of my journey so I did not have to gate-check my carry on luggage."

Voordelen: "It got me home I was able to watch a movie They gave me the whole can of Coke Zero I got both the pretzels AND the cookies A321 aircraft, so power at every seat and good entertainment options"
Nadelen: "Ended up being in a row of three broad-shouldered men, so the "Preferred" seat I paid extra for was not very preferable I despise the practice of making some seats require additional $$$ - just so they can advertise lower fares. Flight was delayed, which is more common than I'd like They're stuffing planes fuller and fuller while offering fewer and fewer amenities at an ever-increasing price with multiple additional costs"
Voordelen: "The guy in the middle seat left and never came back. Smooth flight. Good crew. Got both pretzels and cookies, as well as 2 cups of ice, with no problem."
Nadelen: "Entertainment system had some quirks. I choose my flights in an attempt to make sure I can watch a movie during the flight, so that's important to me. This one stopped once in the middle of the movie, but worked one I started it again. Didn't have buttons for fast forward or rewind, so had to guess on the timeline when I wanted to see something I missed. Then the flight map kept resetting to a mode other than what I wanted. I know these are first world problems, and they in no way affected the safety of the flight, but I expect more."

Nadelen: "I had paid for a Bulk head seat Row 7. But since we had a in Cabin pet, my wife was moved down to Row 18 and a much smaller seat. I need to get a refund for the price I paid."

Nadelen: "I did not like the departure delay from 6:05 to about 9:50. Why did have to wait so long for a pilot to come, and then further wait for a flight attendant to arrive"

Nadelen: "The flight was late boarding and leaving Dallas but we arrived on time. And the plane is very narrow. Two ladies with hips sitting next to each other can be uncomfortable."
Voordelen: "The crew that showed up at the Departures counter when we all lined up to be reticketed for our flight that was cancelled the previous night was great."
Nadelen: "Our brand new 787 had a mechanical issue. We were scheduled to leave at 7:20pm and sat on the Tarmac until 10:45 while we waited for shuttle buses to take us back to the terminal. We waited in line for over two hours for hotel vouchers that they did not have. We paid for own our room and returned at 11am as instructed, but the plane needed a part that had to be shipped from the U.S. which pushed our scheduled departure from 2pm to at least 9pm. My family grabbed a bus to Narita for a 6:30pm flight. C'MON AMERICAN AIRLINES! COULD YOU SERIOUSLY NOT GET ANOTHER PLANE TO HANEDA?? OR AT LEAST PAY FOR OUR HOTEL?? The ground crew at Haneda was very kind but overwhelmed. Terrible experience. And it's the reason I don't fly American. In fact, KAYAK, I booked our flights on JAL intentionally to avoid American. The fact that these were partner flights on American completely and unpleasantly surprised me...also not a good experience."
