I had to go on without my luggage. They inspected and reinspected every single item on my carry on for like an hour in a different room. Kinda scary.! Other airlines check the bags in front of the passengers. Horrible experience and I travel a lot and had never experienced anything like that. Almost didn't feel welcome to be traveling to Israel. The flight attendants have attitudes and they yelled at me because I didn't speak or understand hebrew. Food on the plane is horrible too."

Nadelen: "Upon arrival to the airport, I was pressurized by the "UP" check-in desk staff to send my carry-on to the plane's hold because "the flight is packed and we prefer that you do so". I didn't argue, but this just gives an overall bad impression and certainly does not shed positive light on the company's competence and professionalism. The flight itself was delayed because of insufficient carry-on space in the upper compartments - carry-ons had to be taken off to the hold - something that created a noticeable delay, add to that the dismay of many irked passengers and the expected complaining and hopeless pleas to the flight attendants. The plane took off 20+ minutes late. The fact that this is "low cost" is no justification at all for such a chaos."

Nadelen: "My husband and I never want to fly El Al ever again because the planes are completely outdated and somehow tickets are still full price. Every time we fly El Al the entertainment doesn't work, the screens are ridiculously small, the seats are cramped and the bathrooms are a mess. Every other airline we have used that costs the same or less is a completely different, and better, experience."
Voordelen: "Checking in. There was a problem with the tickets we ordered but there was a man named Joshua Dadana who was compassionate, helpful and professional who worked his best along with others whose names I did not write down to catch the flight to Israel. I would highly recommend your airline."
Voordelen: "Well, they were on time. Shockingly."
Nadelen: "I don't know how El Al gets away with serving people their so-called nightly "meal". They have the audacity to tell passengers it's a "tapas" meal. Tapas has nothing to do with it. You can choose between tuna salad (tuna drowned in mayo with mostly peppers) or chicken with tahini (mostly peppers again, with two small cubes of chicken drowned in tahini). They give you this with a small salad, pita and industrial hummus which is probably the best thing about this meal. Having being burned by this meal last time - they ran out and I got a "glatt kosher" meal - I took the vegetarian option, which was roasted peppers, salad made from 80% lettuce, 20% peppers and no dressing and an inedible cookie. I am allergic to peppers. There is no entertainment to speak of, because El Al sees no reason to update its planes, and there is no personal entertainment system. You can download an app to your phone called "Dream Stream", and stream some options from El Al, but then you have no where to charge your phone, so what's the point? The seats are ridiculously close together, and if someone leans back you really can't eat. Finally, I have no idea why they do this - but El Al flights from Europe don't attach to the terminal via ramp. You get out of the plane on a staircase, in the middle of the night, in the pouring rain, and then have to take a bus to the terminal. It's not like all ramps are busy at 4AM..."

Voordelen: "The fast of Taanis Esther started at about 4:30am in the morning. The crew was kind enough to serve breakfast earlier than usually to accommodate those who were fasting. They probably had to sacrifice an hour or two of their own sleep, but it was really appreciated by the passengers. The crew should be complemented!"
Nadelen: "I sat in a seat with something under the seat in front of me. I couldn't completely turn off the screen in front of me."
Nadelen: "The seats were incredibly uncomfortable sitting in coach sitting. El-al should replace the seats for this plane. It felt almost like sitting on a piece of wood. Also entertainment options were very poor for a 11 hour flight from Boston."

Nadelen: "Early chekin system deliberately alocated separat sieats for me and my wife, despite I cheked in 23 hours befor take off. The cabin crew was very unfrendly. The bording prosses was slow, messy and unplesent."
Nadelen: "it was very easy to buy the insurance from Allianz, it is not easy to get the money back, after I broke a rib 3 days before the flight"
Voordelen: "Personal is very good. Helped us very quickly to change sits to something more preferable for us."

Nadelen: "Crew at the check in were rude, would not let us return the same handheld suitcases we came with, required we check them in, one which they did let us take was required to be measured again with the "cage" at the gate. The temperature on boath flights was very high even with max airflow. We were not allowed to bring abroad bottled water which we had bought at the duty free at the airport, and the aircraft chair would not recline and was extremely crowded with almost no leg space. Will not recommend!"

No earphones or music. It's a shame for el al to charge so high for such a chip and uncomfortable flight and service."
Nadelen: "i am a guide arranging groups to Rome. I arrived 3 hours before the flight - as is required, to find an under-staffed security check . My group of 20 people , some of which were over 80 years old , had to stand 2 hours in line before they where approached. For those that collapsed there were only about 12 chairs in the entire space, for the multitudes that were coming for the flight. i will never fly El -Al to Rome with my groups again, and will not accept the claim that this is "the Ministry of Security" (as the security checkers claimed) , unless i receive an answer to assure that this is to be amended. i purchased tickets from ElAl - and they must provide better standards for and during their security issues."
Très mauvaise communication, retard 45 min , vol que nous avons du prendre suite à l’annulation de notre vol retour d’hier dimanche 22/5. Aucune explication donnée aux passagers, aucun personnel de la compagnie aérienne pour nous expliquer comment faire à l’aéroport de gatwitck.
I paid you 145$ to add another luggage, why i hade to upgrade and pay another 30plus frank to be able to take the luggage that i use with ElAL and Iberia and even after i upgrade it was NORMAL set without even coffee

Secondly, many of the other passengers had several bags, bigger bags, prams, hat cases, etc. I felt that i was chosen at random, and that the rule is not applied equally."

Nadelen: "A humiliating flight experience. Even though we paid for seating on the plane, we also paid for luggage. We arrived with 2 standard trolleys and before boarding the plane they forced us to send them. It did not help that I explained that in the suitcases there were things we needed for flying, valuables, and fragile objects. The crew member was rude and forced us to pull out our belongings: a laptop, a professional camera with a big lens, two books, two porcelain items we bought and we were afraid to send in the big suitcase, two bottles of drinks and two sandwiches. Passports and wallets. I begged the crewman to let me go with at least one suitcase, but he replied rudely that he did not care !!! There was a lot of room on the plane, in the cells. The crew agreed with me. They tried to help and brought me an orange garbage bag so I could put all my belongings in it ... really humiliating !!!"

there was a delay for over 3 hours due to fog this is toatly acceptable, beacause of flight safety but since the fog was not unknown why we were boarded and than had to wait on plane without option to go back to the terminal the boarding was on foot so there was cnot supposed to be a big problem to get back and than reboard
And everything was right on time. They could offer a glass of water.

The manager of the flight didn’t allow me to go on the flight because I was late in just one minute!!!! She preferred to take off my baggage instead of giving me to fly home. I have hearing device and I didn’t hear the call. I paid extra priority and for extra baggage and I want my money back!! Thank you

Voordelen: "Just plain good old Ryanair on time no frills"
Nadelen: "All was perfect"
Nadelen: "We were traveling across Europe with no access to internet. We trued to check in night before from hotel, we had a week connection. Thought we will do it from airport just like the United States. However, due to long line, wemissed tbe two hour window and were charged 55 euro per person. There was 5 of us. Therewere 5 of us. We felt cheTed and scorged."
Nadelen: "I came to the airport on 17:30 but The Checkin counter were open too late, after 1800. There was only 1 staff member in the counter. The lines were long and crouded . After we finished our check in and sent the luggage we went to the gate. There they realized that some of the printed bourding passes are not o k. The attendant in the counter did not checked it and sent us to the gate. We had to go back to the counter but the flight was closed already. We called the staff and after all we had to pay 100 euro to the counter to print the correct bourding passes and then to rush to the aircraft. If Ryan air put enough staff in the counters it wouldn’t happen. We almost miss the flight and it caused us a big inconvenous."
Voordelen: "That the place reached safetly to its destination"
Nadelen: "Rome Line to checkin started at the entrance of the airport with no Ground staff attention or clear line marked people were fighting and cutting each other . Check in process approved our luggage for hand cary as we paid for it in advance. In the gate they suddenly decided the luggage was 1 cm larger then agreed, refused to bring a measurement tape and charged us 50 Euro in addition to send the luggae in the plane rather than hand carry. Need less to say that in the flight to Rome our luggage was approved for hand carry so clearly Rome staff were into making money.. Planes were late to take off and 1 hour late to land (that from a total of a 3 hour flight ) although not announced . In summary ground staff experience was awaful and made us decide to not fly with Ryanair air again"
Voordelen: "It arrived to its destination."
Nadelen: "Extremely long lines from start to end (bag drop off, security, passports, line to boarding etc), plenty of long walks from one line to the other. Everything cost extra charges, we had to add a non négligeable amount, in order to be seated with the kids, to have our boarding pass printed. A tiny bottle of water cost 3€. No entertainment whatsoever. Seats are uncomfortable."

Nadelen: "The check in process was extremely slow and the line up was very long with only 2 crew members checking people in"

Nadelen: "Took long time to pick up baggage (could be an issue at BCN airport). Would be great to arrange seating (sit next to my wife) when seats are randomly picked up"
Nadelen: "An hour delay for take off, we were trapped in the plane"
Nadelen: "We got the feeling that the price is low but the company will do all it takes to FAIL the customer and make him pay more. For example, the customer must check in online. if not done properly the cost is about 100 euro more, AND the online check in procedure is not working that well, you need to press buttons several times in order for it to work (and I have a good phone), and if you give up in the middle it will cost you. More on that we did a mistake and did not purchase luggage for the way back, when we went to the desk to buy it (after standing more than 2 hours in the check in), we were told to pay 40 euros, where the price is 23 if paid online. we asked to talk to a manager and get the regular price for the suitcase, the cashier said "no problem i can call him, but then you will miss the flight..." and in the meantime there were still lots of people in the check in line... The service is very slow and not pleasant, and the crew always give you the feeling you are not ok. I understand the price is low and this is a lo cost flight, but this should not happen no matter what is the price."

Voordelen: "Nouveau Boeing avec une cabine totalement repensée. Un bon vol dans son ensemble, Ryanair s'améliore de plus en plus: service..."
Nadelen: "Embarquement mal organisé et très retardé. Personnel non aimable..."
Voordelen: "Arrive 5 minutes earlier"
Nadelen: "The boarding was a mess. We had to wait in the bus for about 40 minutes because the plane was not ready yet. The landing was rough. But I guess it’s okay because it’s very cheap."
Nadelen: "we had delayed for 2 hours"
Nadelen: "Le fait que les bagages à main voyagent maintenant systématiquement en soute ... les coffres en cabine sont vides et on doit attendre son petit sac à l´arrivée, après les bagages enregistrés ... Cela me parait être un non sens complet et je ne vois même pas où serait leur intérêt financier !"

Nadelen: "Le fait de payer pour avoir mon savon en cabine alors que d’aitres Personnes l’ont eu aussi mais sans payer."
