Over the years, I have flown both options, and while Edelweiss is a fine carrier, Swissair flights are still a cut above. Contributing to the positive experience was the friendly agent at check-in at BUD."

Chez Swiss : impossible de réserver puisque j'ai réservé chez ANA... Repas franchement mauvais, rien de japonais, pas de chopsticks alors que la moitié des passagers étaient japonais. Divertissements : équipement vidéo d'un autre âge !"

No one would help you when you need it in the airports and their desks are not open long enough to get the help that you need in Amman. Also, when you ask the information desk at the airport in Amman to call someone from Turkish Airlines they tell you that they can't because they won't come. I hope that this feedback would be used to make the airlines better because Turkey is truly a beautiful place."

Nadelen: "We had a connection at Istanbul. No laptop or notebook was allowed. A small portable charger to my iPhone was confisticated even thought it is smaller than my iPhone. Turkish TSA seemed a little confused with what to confisticate. They almost took away my portable shaver too. There were 4 little kids running around aisle during the flight forcing me to watch movies instead of sleep crossing the Atlantic Ocean."

Nadelen: "First let me tell you that when I booked a flight to Istanbul from Brussels, I booked, so I thought, the airport called Istanbul Ataturk with the initials of IST. What I got was SAW after I paid for a booking that said IST. Sabina Gokcen is one hour away further on the Asian side of Turkey. I did not want this airport! There was nothing I could do about this but bite the bullet & accept what I got since I was not allowed to have any corrections made after paying for this ticket. I am highly disappointed with Kayak. The first time you have disappointed me greatly!"

Nadelen: "The seats we were in were where it went from 4 in a row to 3, so the telvisions were not directly in front of us, and i had to keep my head turned at an angle for ten hours. It sounds silly, but my neck hurt after the flight a little. Might be a pop out tv you can attach that is moveable to fix this"

Nadelen: "They checked my bag at the gate - despite me traveling all over the world NEVER having to check it - and would not take no for an answer, despite me having a 25 minute connection due to their one hour delay. Once boarded there was an incredible amount of empty overhead bins! Bag didn't make it"

Nadelen: "The flight from Copenhagen to Brussels was delayed long enough that I barely made my connecting flight to Frankfurt. However, my luggage did not. I hope it will arrive today."

Voordelen: "1st Class is a joke. They leave the middle coach seat vacant. You do have more overhead storage since there are fewer people in "1st Class". Otherwise you may as well be in coach. For flights within Europe this appears to be the standard. Save you money fly coach when traveling within Europe."

Voordelen: "We struggled to get the system to add our bags. Never got it to work and had to pay at check-in. It was even worse coming back! When bad weather caused delays and we missed our connecting flight from Frankfurt to Istanbul they put us on Turkish Airlines which was fabulous!!"
Nadelen: "Lufhtansa is slipping. They are acting like a budget airline when the expectation is for a full service airline. The online check-in would not let us add bags even though we tried for 3 hours. Not impressed with this."

Nadelen: "The usual flight discomfort, but the seat in front of me was broke. The person in it struggled to stay out of my lap, which I appreciated. The connecting flight had a non-functional screen and the reading light broke and flew across the cabin."

Voordelen: "The crew was the most accommodating I’ve ever had and I was in the basic economy seating. The food was better, pls es more comfortable, and entertainment far more advanced."

Nadelen: "screaming and kicking child behind my seat, with no way to "escape". I had a severe cold and that was certainly not something I needed, I tried to get some rest, but that was impossible. The seats are getting smaller and smaller, hardly any legroom whatsoever. Also, what I had planned on bringing on the aircraft as carry on (which was my work equipment, tablet/printer etc), I had to check in as luggage because it was "overweight" meaning more than 8 kg and pay ADDITIONAL $200 (in addition to the $100 I already paid for one suitcase). I've seen many passengers with "heavy" carry on, which they were apparently allowed to bring into the cabin without any problems. I had never had to pay for any carry on, and I am seriously considering using another airline for future business travel."

Nadelen: "Three pieces of luggage two got to my destination two and a half days which means I had to purchase cloths to wear and personal items. The third piece of luggage was three and a half days late. Which is was are Christmas presents were delivered late afternoon. There wasn’t any compensation for the inconvenience of having to change of plans of staying around the house waiting for luggage when we paid for hotel rooms and we didn’t get a refund on our trip we couldn’t take. When we knew flights from Frankfurt to München ran daily. Very disappointed. Byron becker we flew from Florida Orlando fo Munich Germany and paid a high price for traveling. Also we were bumped three times fro, Frankfurt to. Much each time on standby. Very disappointed. Sorry but this is the truth."

Voordelen: "I liked the ability to have some air circulation, which was not offered in the first flight, so that was nice. The ride was smooth, quick, and mostly comfortable, although I did wish I could have a little more elbow room. There was no entertainment, but that was also fine because the flight was fairly short. Many people on the flight from NY to Brussels were scheduled on this flight and that plane landed in time that this flight would only need to be delayed 10 minutes to allow for us to connect. However, they decided to leave all of us with a long unexpected layover in Brussels, costing many of us a day of what was supposed to be a short vacation for most."

Slightly disappointed."

Nadelen: "On the transatlantic flight the crew was unattractive and somewhat rude. They skipped our entire row serving morning refreshments and then complained and tried to shame us all for calling them back. Food quality was on par with Alegent Airlines. We even got charged for one piece of checked luggage 46lb on a international flight. That was a first!!!"

Nadelen: "Boarding was not organized at all. I was sitting in the front yet I got in almost at the end and barely was able to find a place for my handbags. Ut took way too long and people had to stand for a long time to board. Crew members were not up to par either. I had my earphones and was watching a movie and feel asleep. And everytime one them passes by, they will knock me awake. I was extremely tired and tried hard to sleep yet they kept waking me up every time one of them passes by, no matter how skinny they were! Totally unprofessional."

Nadelen: "very rocky,, too confined for such a long flight.thank you for a good lesson not to go austrian again"

Voordelen: "The seats were very nice, and I found it very pleasing that everything was colour coordinated. (the small details in red and the rest in gray). The flight attendants were so happy and upbeat, it lifted your mood as well! I believe that we left a few minutes early, as boarding was completed early. And thefood? Mind-blowing for airplane food. I really enjoyed this flight."
Nadelen: "There wasn’t much I didn’t like about the flight. Sometimes the announcements were very slightly difficult to hear (accents and whatnot,) but you could still tell what they were saying."

Nadelen: "Flight was 1 hour late. Didn’t make up any time while in flight. We came to no gate assigned. Additional delays due to wait for free gate. Unacceptable, missed my connection. Had to stay additional day for rebooked flight."

Voordelen: "Very easy and smooth flight. We landed 25 min earlier. Austrian Airlines are my favorite."

Voordelen: "Plane was very clean and drink service was frequent."
Nadelen: "The gate was older, not well appointed and far from shops and better dining. We lined up only to be taken on a very long shuttle ride to the plane. I have had this experience before but in this case the planes location was virtually on the other side of the terminal. By the time all were boarded, the plane was late by about 15 minutes to takeoff, and we experienced more delay after that so that on arrival we were an hour delayed. Many missed connections in Vienna as a result. Crew seemed tense and on edge."

No luggage until yesterday.It never happen before.But in top of everything my plans in Albania were messed up.I have to pospne my return flight 1 week and the charges are unbelievable tooo much 650 dollars.I am not stopping here.Thank you."

This caused a big problem for me in the airport, where I: 1- Wasn't allowed to catch my flight ti Vinnea and this was both financial and time lost for me. 2- I was locked in Dussluff airport for more than 14 hours, I was threatened to be sent back to USA or any other country. This caused physiological damage for me, as I been treated like an animal 3- I was asked to pay for my new ticket ( Dussloff - Istanbul-Amman )"

However, when we boarded the airplane on 9/5/2016, we were charged 30 Euros for each bag, a total of 120 Euros for 4 checked in bags of 4 passengers. This is unfair, and I would like it to be corrected if possible. Thanks."

Nadelen: "At 11h30 of 14/9 we (HOANG MINH CHAU and NGUYEN SI THANH) were standing at the ticket counter in Vienna and we could not check in due to no payment yet for the ticket and so the reservation has been cancelled. Due to this reason we had have to buy new tickets at the airport ticketing counter. So please sort out your problem with the airline and get back to me. From my bank the payment has been done yet to you. We had have double pay for one trip."

Nadelen: "My flight to JFK on August 31 was cancelled. And they didn't provide me ticket same day. They gave ticket for next day. I had problems at work and other issues because of that."

Voordelen: "The plane was comfortable and the crew was nice and efficient. My legs did not cramp up on the long flight. Good job."
Nadelen: "My experience at Vienna airport was HORRIBLE. No jet bridge -- stairs to walk onto the tarmac. Board a crowded bus to get to the terminal. The terminal was a nightmare...up the stairs, down the stairs, walking forever like a mouse in a maze. Very inefficient and crowded conditions at the gate for boarding. Not enough information as to what's happening. I felt like a sardine in a can! The personnel at the gate were not at all friendly or forthcoming with information."

Nadelen: "My row was bypassed a couple of times for food/beverage service even though we were wide awake and looking expectantly at the flight attendant. Sometimes she asked me if I wanted a drink or something and as I was answering she looked away and moved on. I couldn't believe it. Then after pressing the service button and waiting a long time for her to return, she acted like it was a huge inconvenience."

Nadelen: "I can't believe they charge extra to reserve a seat. Just charge an honest flight."

Nadelen: "Less than 24 hours notice."

Nadelen: "Notre vol Rome Nice a était décalé par 3 fois... au final nous sommes partis avec un retard de 3h30, de ce fait nous avons atterri à Nice à 1h30 du matin!!! Il a fallu prendre un taxi tant il était impossible de faire attendre un membre de notre famille au beau milieu de la nuit. Et comme dédommagement sur place on nous a donné une carte pour ce restaurer qui elle était créditée de 4,50€, une mascarade vraiment...: Très mauvais service en Résumé!!!"

En fait je n'avais pas reçu l'adresse mail kiwi pour effectuer cette démarche, adresse incroyablement longue, introuvable sur le net ( je prends pourtant l'avion depuis quelques années ! ) Bref, gros gros stress et la sensation d'être prise pour une andouille, ce qui est plutôt déplaisant Je ne voyagerai plus par Ryanair si le prestataire kiwi est proposé, d'autant que mes tentatives pour les joindre avant le départ ont toutes échoué. Cordialement"

Nadelen: "We did not have internet and computer access during our trip and when we arrived at the airport to check in we were told that there was a high fee for airport checkin. Never in my 30 years of airline travel have i experienced such s redicilous and outragous thing. I paid 196 euros today because we were not able to check in online rven though Ryanaiir had several checkin counters!. This was certainly the last time i flew with Ryanair and I will share this experience with my friends and family."

(Sans parler de la charmante dame au check in qui s’est permise de voler mes lunettes de soleil, cadeau d’une famille balinaise auquel je tenais énormément, sur le comptoir, après m’avoir « dérobé » lesdits 55€) Quelle honte, mais quelle honte ..."

Nadelen: "The flight was 2 and a half hours delayed and the crew did not even mention it, never mind a line of apology. I gave them a chance after 8 years and I regret it. You save with Ryanair, only if your own time is worthless."

Nadelen: "On arrival all trains were cancelled and it was very hard to find a bus or someone to talk to but that was a separate issue"

Voordelen: "We didn't crash and I arrived at my destination safely."
Nadelen: "The flight was 90 mins late, we were herded like cattle onto the plane which was filthy with empty sweet wrappers littering the entirecabin, which in turn was full of crying children (whose parents appeared powerless/unwilling to comfort them). While none of this was helped by the poor weather creating epic turbulence and a near-miss with another aeroplane, I did take a flight the following day with EuroWings in identical weather which was far better controlled with less nausea-inducing turbulence so I do feel I can blame Ryanair for feeling quite sick as we left the plane. If we'd had to go in for a 3rd landing attempt, I'd probably have turned up for my meeting all covered in vomit as they don't even provide sick bags! Ryanair isn't just basic and cheap, they don't even do the basics properly. It's as though they're deliberately trying to make the experience as horrible as possible. Ryanair is dreadful. Never again!"

Nadelen: "We were in the line which went along smoothly until we were just a few people before being served. There was a couple that had issues and the entire line of people including me had to wait in a standstill for 30 minutes. It made me run to my closed gate but did get on. The solution is to have a counter they could have moved to just for big issues rather than hold up 50 people. So sort of plan B for big problem flyers. It was lame.
