Nadelen: "Retard de l'avion ( 3-4 vols différents). Perte de mes bagages qui à entraîner un déplacement pour rien à l'étranger pour le travail vu que je n'avais pas le matériel de travail avec moi. Nous faire monter dans l'avion, rouler sur le tarmac, après 30 min de prise de retard sur le départ, nous annoncer qu'on retourner à l'aéroport et qu'il fallait changer d'avion pour problèmes techniques. Pour nous annuler complètement Le vol! Nous faire descendre de l'avion, devoir aller se trouver un autre vol, aller recuperer la valise, retourner l'enregistrer, et retourner à la sécurité tous ça avec une amabilité digne de la froideur allemande! Auncuns repas ou autre bois a été offert au moin pour s'excuser. Après avoir eu tous ces problèmes avec la même compagnie j'ai contacter à plusieurs reprises le service client qui m'a raccrocher au nez! On m'a dit qu'on me remboursait Le vol. Je n'ai jamais eu de nouvelles."

Nadelen: "The 40 min layover between SVO-HEL and HEL-JFK required security check and walking approx. 30-gate distance. It was well organized, but still straining."

Voordelen: "World best airline since my last flight to Hong Kong. New aircraft with the most confortable and complete flight experience I had in years in economy class. Seat confort, movie selection and quality of the screen, food quality, boarding speed, cabine pressure, all was immaculate."
Nadelen: "They promised an upgrade to premium economy and then they didn't follow through, they lied when they said that row 30 was premium economy, all this felt very very weird. Jacqueline the flight attendant recognised the problem and gave us premium headphones to make up for the error."

Voordelen: "Very simple but reliable and confortable flight. We got clear instructions to get to the next terminal"
Nadelen: "We took off late and arrived even later so we had to run to get to the next plane"

Voordelen: "Well this was a first for me. The flight was overbooked and some one wanted to go to New York. Finn Air asked me if I would give up my seat they would get me on the next Finn Air flight to Chicago. I did and they even up graded me to business class on the next flight. It was the best flight experience of my life. Great food, hosts, and service. It was very comfortable the entire way."

Nadelen: "16 hour overnight stop at helsinki airport."

Voordelen: "The Airbus 330 is an improvement over the Boeing 737 that took me to Europe (via Milan) on this trip. Unlike that flight, this plane is equipped with an updated on demand entertainment system. I attribute the upgraded airplane to the fact that this was a direct flight from HEL to JFK. Still no wifi though... Their magazine says it's coming. Upgrading to Economy Comfort is worth the fee especially if you get a bulkhead seat. Otherwise you are still pretty crammed in with maybe 6" more leg room. But the bulkhead seats are set well back from the wall to give my long legs plenty of room to stretch and get in and out of my seat. My friends in Economy looked miserable :( The chili con carne with rice was an improvement over other airline meals but still room for improvement - mostly in presentation I guess. Lingonberry 'salad' though a bit sour for me, was a nice Finnish dish to sample. Like the cheese and crackers. Departed and arrived on time. Liked the flight tracking that showed you very detailed what you were passing over and even gave us a bit of info and photos about highlights of each region flown over. Nice touch."
Nadelen: "This plane was such an improvement over the "bucket" that flew me to Europe that it has restored my faith in Finnair as a valid carrier for my yearly trip to Europe - like I said, probably because it is a direct flight to New York rather than connecting to another European (not Scandanavian) city like Milan. I would probably not use Finnair to access other parts of Europe for this reason. (On the departure end, the regional Finnair flight from Milan to Helsinki was also sub-standard.) I do think the check-in procedure is still cumbersome - self check in with bag check, though started at kiosks, still results in a long line just to hand off your bag to a counter agent. A few more agents would likely solve that problem... But it was better than going the other way - JFK was a nightmare! Helsinki only slightly better."

Nadelen: "Boarding method. Should board people furthest from the front of coach first to avoid clogging of aisle."

Nadelen: "Whoever designed and built this airplane should literally be INDICTED - AND I AM NOT KIDDING! We were in disbelief the moment we boarded and saw the airplane. 10 people across jammed into the row??!! - and on an long international flight?? - are you kidding??!! Further, these were the SMALLEST seats I have EVER been forced to sit in. Neither I, or my friend came close to fitting. We literally had to alternate getting up and standing because we were literally overlapping each other when we sat! (His shoulder and arm were literally on top of me!!). It was so bad that when the stewardess came rolling down the aisle with her cart, I had to be aware and see her in advance so I could literally TURN MY BODY OVER TO THE LEFT HALF ON TOP OF THE PERSON SITTING NEXT TO ME SO SHE WOULDN'T TAKE OFF MY ARM AND SHOULDER. ULTIMATELY, SOMEONE, OR MORE THAN ONE PERSON, IS GOING TO GET SERIOUSLY HURT BY THIS RECKLESS, GREED-DRIVEN DESIGN!! The OVERT GREED by the airline (American) clearly reflected by this in trying to JAM as many human beings into a flight as possible like Sardines is DISGUSTING!!! You simply DO NOT TREAT HUMAN BEINGS THIS WAY!! It is also clear evidence that there needs to be tighter standards, regulations and penalties by the FAA and what is allowed by airlines. AND I AM SENDING A LETTER TO THE FAA!!!"

Voordelen: "Not bad as cross-ocean flights go, but cramped. The seats (and the available room per person) are what would be considered normal nowadays, but I remember flying thirty years ago. The crew was very pleasant and snacks were served (and appreciated), but didn't make up for the cramped conditions."

Voordelen: "The meeting I was attending in NY got postponed so I lost the full 1/2 return ticket. Nothing I could do, all at once all kinds of small text appear in big and over 400 $ was lost. This is the last time I book with Kayak. Better pay a bit more directly with the airline but do not have a deal like the Kayak deal. So please remove from all your sites. Thank you VV"

Nadelen: "Terrible turbulence the entire way and as it was a smaller plane you could feel it for most of the flight. The food was also not very good..."

Voordelen: "For the first time ever I had a flight on British Airways where I did not feel like I wanted to choke somebody at the end of the flight - so I was pleasantly surprised at this particular BA flight."
Nadelen: "BA gates in NYC are abysmal - the entire terminal is... Why are the restaurants advertising being open to some specific time (well prior to the departure of this flight) yet then have staff holler at you that they are closed when you try to go in well before that time. It would have been very nice to have been able to sit down and have some dinner prior to the flight, but the rudeness of both of the two restaurants and their staff was worthy of the notoriety of NYC attitudes (which I don't generally see in mainstream NYC society)."

Voordelen: "The seats were very comfortable -- the plane wasn't very full, so there was room to spread out for some folks. As a vegetarian, the lunch meal was EXCELLENT, thank you. There was a second snack given just before landing that was basically roasted peppers on bread that was not good -- so you know, many vegetarians actually have sensitivity against peppers, so perhaps another vegetable or option would be better there. Crew was very affable and helpful."
Nadelen: "See point before re: second snack. Our flight was delayed for two hours, presumably due to snow in Oslo. The boarding area was disorganized -- something I remember from flying through Norway a few years ago as well. I also didn't quite understand why I received priority boarding, as a United gold member on my outbound fight, but not on my return. So the inconsistency was a bit confusing/frustrating. But the flight overall was smooth, and the accommodations quite good."

Nadelen: "The crew passed by me TWICE while serving food and I was not sleeping at that time. I had to go and ask for food myself. Also there was a delay about 40 minutes when taking off in CPH (CPH-EWR) because of a fuel-screen malfunction or smth. The pilot was very nice and kept us informed all the time. I still didn't make my connection flight due to the delay and SAS rebooked me which made my already long trip 8 hrs longer."

Nadelen: "A silly point, but I would appreciate fewer announcements when I’m watching a movie. (Laughing out loud)"

If they do answer the phone (1-800-221-2350), they either put you on hold for a whole day or, if you leave your phone no. and name to have them call you back, they never do . I am not the only person who has this experience. It is too bad because if this continues, the airline will loose business and I would hate to see that. However, I still will use KAYAK"

An 8.5 hour flight without entertainment made the experience unpleasant."

Voordelen: "I am not sure where to start from but each lot employee I talk with had poor English and not the tinyest willing to help just to move , I had a flight back from cezh republic to JFK with a stop in Warsaw When I got to the front desk in the air port to print my ticket the Liady ( work at Sation 236 ) was very rude and anti costumer service she print me only my first fly ticket and when I ask why she " I don't know " I said ok so when u get there you know which get I go or where I will print the other ticket she say I don't know Ok and then I ask her can u check if it a room I. My flight from Warsaw to JFK in business it this moment she tell me I can switch sit and ask me to go I was shocked but this was only the bigining when I got to Warsaw I ask in the gate counter where should I go to print my ticket after I try to explain him 10 times what I mean ( he didn't speak English at all ) he told me to go pass the passport check and in gate 21 they will print it to me I fly a lot so I ask him if he sure becuse I am petty sure I will need my ticket the guy at the desk repeat imhim self so I want and waited 25-30 min in the line so the police officer in the passport check will tell me I need to go print my ticket So after the officer from the passport desk call someone he direct me to go to hate 26 and there they will print my ticket I want them and again wait for 15 min to print my ticket ( it was only me this is the sad thing I don't know what tool 15 min to print a ticket ) and it amazing how unsocial and 0 in customer service the lot polish employees I meet And this is without talking about the delay in my coming flight for 2-3 hrs ( a delay it something that happen a lot yes but the way they handled it again 0 in costumer service )"

Voordelen: "The crew on this flight was amazing. Very attentive, courteous and professional!! The crew was in no way responsible for how terrible this airplane was, and they did a wonderful job of making sure everything was taken care of."
Nadelen: "The plane was terribly old and decrepit. None of the television screens worked, the airplane was dingy, brown, worn out looking and just overall gross. This flight was operated by a company called Privilege Style, and while the crew was fantastic everything else was terrible. The food was pathetic and nasty; they served breaded chicken that was so soggy it resembled a used dish cloth. It came with soggy oily vegetables and a cake that had condensation all over it. The only redeeming thing on this flight was the free Polish beer (it was warm). The flight we took going to Poland was on one of their new Dreamliner planes and it was amazing! We were so disappointed with this return flight as it was a stark contrast to the wonderful experience we had coming to Poland. I hope in the future they can discontinue use of these older planes, as it makes flying much more aggravating."

Nadelen: "Departure late about 4 hrs, little information along the way. More waiting at arrival for gate to open up due to late arrival. Seats are not comfortable."

Voordelen: "I have been flying with them for the past 16 years(economy seats), and I have to say that their service,and comfort of overnight flights have improved tremendously! Partially due to the fact that they have 787 Dreamliners now, in which the seats are wider and are reclining more than before, the leg room is bigger, the air quality better. The crew members are very professional,not overly sweet,yet caring and understanding,especially when you are flying with small children.As to those complaining about overcharged luggage- read the rules people! If you go over the maximum limit of 50lb for a check in, let's say 2lb,they won't charge you,but don't expect them to close their eyes when your luggage weighs almost double that!"
Nadelen: "The food is ok, nicely packed, but even if you don't like it they have extra options to purchase for a small price."

Nadelen: "At boarding we were told we needed an additional security clearance "that way". When we searched for it and couldn't find it, we asked two different employees and they didn't know or offer to help. We finally found it but it wasn't a good experience. And finding out at boarding time was not helpful."

Nadelen: "Nothing really to complain. Perhaps the only negative thing is that the plane was a little small."

Nadelen: "There was a delay at Warsaw Airport for almost 3 Hours I arrived home 2.00 Am I missed a family wedding that night"

Nadelen: "Unable to choose seat at ticket purchase."

Nadelen: "Many people on this flight were bothered by the fact that their families were split up all over the airplane and no one could sit together. During boarding there were groups of people who had all been split up and were desperately trying to switch seats with others. I was traveling with a 15 year old, and even though she is not a small child it was very nerve wrecking to be seated 20 rows behind her, not being able to keep an eye on her (even more so because she gets car sick and has thrown up on airplanes before). I don't think I've ever flown where my group was not at least seated in pairs. This was very disappointing."

Voordelen: "Pleasant personal, great service!"

Voordelen: "Service, food, entertainment were of good quality"
Nadelen: "Flight was delayed 40 min; after landing the plane was sitting on the field forever; during descent, my ears started aching, and I think I got some kind of vestibular system damage, possibly from an overly fast descent. Not good."

Nadelen: "The crew had everyone measure their suitcases and pay for overweight, which significantly delayed boarding."

Voordelen: "Flight attendant made me a cup of decaf coffee. It was really good. And she found artificial sweetener."
Nadelen: "Boarding announcements in Warsaw for the flight to New York were ONLY in Polish. This left many passengers confused. I could understand this if the flight were to a Polish destination. During the flight, intercom announcements overrode the Entertainment System at FULL VOLUME - EVERY TIME. it is as though they wanted to maximize our discomfort. I would not fly with Lot again."

Voordelen: "I only liked that I got to watch a few movies to kill the worst experience I had !"
Nadelen: "I didn't like that I got no food I asked for a water bottle never got it! I was hungry the entire flight I was only lucky to be close to the bathroom"

Voordelen: "Everything was excellent."

Voordelen: "The seats were comfortable."
Nadelen: "After the flight was delayed for an hour several days in advance, I thought it could still be OK. But when they kept us at the gate for another 1.5 hours without any information as to why we were not boarding, I just about lost it. Delays happen. That is not the problem. But the staff was rude and did not inform us about when or if we would be leaving. When asked about missed connections, said they know nothing and the transfer desk will handle that. I was travelling with my cat, so for me it was super stressful. Once we did arrive to JFK, there were no more flights to RDU that night and it took forever and then some to get me a hotel that would accommodate a cat. Just fly another airline."

Nadelen: "Loud passengers no crew attention."

Nadelen: "Flight attendamt woke me up to straighten my seat so person behind me can eat more comfortably. I have trouble flying and took 3 sleeping pills so I can fly comfortably and now the woman woke me up and I couldn't fall back asleep so she can eat? So horrible. 30 screaming kids on the flight. They served food while I slept so I called the flight attendant 7 times to now bring me food since she woke me up. She never showed up. So no only was I now up, couldn't fall back asleep because of the screaming children but I am SO glad the person behind me are her mean comfortably"

Nadelen: "Boarding was strange. Stand in a line, go through the checkpoint for "pre-boarding", stand in a disorganized group for 40 minutes in a holding area, then EVERYONE is told to board at the same time and it's a mad rush up the stairs/escalator to get on the plane. Not pleasant."

Nadelen: "The boarding process was non existent and lacked personnel at the terminal. The flight was six hours, a snack should be offered."

Voordelen: "Not a lot."
Nadelen: "Boarding via bus just takes forever, get a legitimate jet bridge. Also the airport has about 20 seats at each gate for 80+ passenger planes, leaving a lot of people sitting on the floor."

Voordelen: "The flight took off and landed on time. There were also a lot of good food options on the flight that were not only edible, but also healthy"

Nadelen: "See above"

Nadelen: "The seat bottom cushion was extremely uncomfortable."

Nadelen: "The check-in process was horrible. It took over an hour to drop off our bags and get a boarding pass."

Voordelen: "the crew was so helpful. Although the wifi was a little slow the pilot and the crew tried to fix it, and eventually, we were able to stream the world cup semi-final match,"
Nadelen: "not too many options for entertainment. that's it!"

Nadelen: "Not iceland air fault but waited over an hour after we landed to get into a gate. Then waited another 30 minutes after customs until luggage arrived. Seats go too far back. The guy in front of me was siting in my lap. Also the flight status boards in Reykjavik were not well designed. I've never seen so many people panicking and running to flights in my life. i was in the terminal for 3 hours on a layover and watched about 10% of the people freaking out. 99% of the time it was over nothing."

Nadelen: "Boarding at KEF needs to be more organized."

Voordelen: "Good movie selection?"
Nadelen: "I had to pay for extra luggage, because though I paid for an Economy Standard ticket which does come with checked-in baggage, there was nothing written on my ticket to prove it. I paid for the standard ticket ahead of time specifically. Although the staff were nice enough, for a struggling student, this mix-up was unacceptable. I now find myself making calls and trying to get in contact with both Kayak and Icelandair for a refund of the 88euro. I think I was particularly unlucky, because I was picked twice for special security checks, which pulled me out of the line I was waiting in while the flight was delayed, and I had to re-enter the line at the end. Though I requested window seats, I did not receive one either time (though I knew it wasn't guaranteed). There was also no overhead storage space for carry-ons overhead, so I had to make my way to the front of the plane to store my backpack, and several of those who came after me had to sit with their carry-ons on their lap. The seats were also pretty uncomfortable with a thick unadjustable headrest; and the air quality was terrible, a bit smelly and very dry. As a frequent flyer (who does fly with icelandair occasionally) this was unusual."

Voordelen: "Pillows and blankets free of charge."
Nadelen: "You had to go through their customs to change plans. Then you had to board a bus to get carried over to your connecting plane. There was not enough time allowed between flights to do that. They did not have enough bathrooms for all the flights coming in at the Iceland airport. Iceland Air is basically a travel agency in an airplane for Iceland. A lot of pushing by the company to stop in Iceland for a few days and buy Iceland products. It was a lot of hassle to cross the Atlantic on Iceland Air, and I will try not to use them again."

Voordelen: "Nothing good about this airline"
Nadelen: "Forget about comfortable experience during the flight. The way how they list the ticket from Kayak is the scam. Stated Economy class on Kayak and their own website ticket info. Once you chek in, they will stated this is the cheapest economy ticket, doesnt allow any baggage, and you have to pay I think around $150 for round trip baggage. End up with just to carry on, wouldnt able to shop in Europe. If you includ baggage flight would be similar to other airline provide baggage and quality services. Huge mistake, customer service located overseas, and dont care about customer."

Voordelen: "Got home safely"

Voordelen: "Loved the personalized tv in front of me and plenty of space above me in the middle seats!"
Nadelen: "There were no snacks"

Voordelen: "The beet salad and the bouillabaisse were both excellent. The flight attendants were attentive and helpful. Wide selection of entertainment choices."
Nadelen: "Our connection from Zurich arrived as boarding had begun in Reykjavik. When we arrived at the gate, it looked like business class had already been called, so there was HUGE mob gathered about the gate including small children. An employee worked her way through the crowd randomly checking passports and marking boarding passes. Eventually we made it onto the shuttle which drove us out to the plane. I wouldn't like to fly Icelandair overnight because I wouldn't be able to sleep at all in the business class seats since they don't recline that much."

Nadelen: "Baggage fees were horribly expensive."

Voordelen: "Everything went okay for us on this flight. In the future, I will suggest to my wife, who books air travel for us to read the fine print. The cost to check a bag was $100.00 which would have run us $300.00 for the trip: Boston to Brussels with a layover in Reykjavik, but on the return Brussels to Reykjavik with four days in Iceland and the return to Boston, so there goes the cheap flight! I did enjoy the in-flight movie and a documentary on the return trip as well."
Nadelen: "My own earphones on the flight from Brussels to Iceland did not work. I could not plug them into the system."

Voordelen: "Poor communication. Old planes. Late departures and arrivals. And the staff has zero f@;$s to give."
Nadelen: "See above."

Voordelen: "Clean plane and facilities. Nice crew. Email notifications of delays"
Nadelen: "Multi-hour delays - strike induced on outbound flight, weather induced on return flight. Email notifications were nice but inconsistent. Expensive food."

Nadelen: "Again, there was no jet bridge to board the plane in Reykjavik. When we arrived in New York, it took 1.5 hours for our bags to arrive on the baggage carousel. That is an absurd amount of time to wait for your bags, especially when the crew's bags were unloaded from the plane within 30 minutes of landing."

Voordelen: "The inflight entertainment was really nice and enjoyed the Iceland layover information. Crew were professional and attentive."
Nadelen: "Felt like a budget airline, so don't expect any free snacks or the ability to carry on large backpacks that you normally could on other airlines."

Voordelen: "Better movies assortment and also TV Cooking newtwork"
