Voordelen: "The flight attendants were very attentive and polite, seats are some of the most comfortable of any airline I've flown (particularly compared to the US domestics), entertainment is solid (although the English movie selection was not that large), and we were regularly offered food and drink if we were awake. I would definitely recommend JAL to others."

Nadelen: "The website was pretty bad functionality wise. It took me 2 hours and a couple phone calls to be able to online check in for my flight in advance. Then during my trip I was trying to look at what costs and fees would be associated with changing my flight and extending the trip. The website was hard to navigate and offered very little information"

Voordelen: "As expected not overly done nor less of comfort and services. Only it was confusing that I had to move from international terminal to Domestic terminal due to first transfer was with in Domestic airport."
Nadelen: "I have purchased Japan Airline to travel but unexpectedly I had to deal with American Air for half of my flight. God help them please. It was hell from start to finish. Japan Air, I feel sorry for you that your alliance with American Air."

Voordelen: "Lots of room in premium economy, good entertainment selection. Clean bathroom ! Excellent service. Food was mediocre."

Nadelen: "Our flight was delayed for two hours. We have a connecting flight from Osaka to Los Angeles, which we were worried we couldn't make it. They told me the flight will wait for us because there were 20 plus people also need to get on that plane. When the time of boarding we heard they were calling us to the front and explained the flight we were suppose to be connecting already took off. They had to booked us to another airline. We were extremely disappointed! We asked if we could took another Japanese airline but they said our luggages were already transferred to that airline and the tickets were printed! Mosf importantly we have already waited in airport 5 hours and they needed us to wait for another 3 hours! Very bad experience with how they dealing with this situation!"

Nadelen: "To Osaka was very good. Return flight back to US was mediocre. Flight attendant was forgetful about getting even water even with a half full flight."

Nadelen: "Checking in with Japan Airlines was a serious hassle. I had my e-ticket but they kept asking me if I had already paid. The flight was apparently overbooked but than at the last minute, they gave me and my girlfriend seats separated from each other. I sat in the back, she sat in front. The tickets also had trouble scanning and kayak isn't a known agency."

Voordelen: "The stewardess of the flight from LA to Osaka was awesome , I don't remember her exactly name , I think she is older then other crew members working that day on economy class . She was very professional , serving customer with the best she can. Always smiles. I feel good whenever I see her walks by, smile and very professional When the meal was serve but they only had one dish to choose instead of two ( I guess that day Chicken Masala dish was high on demand so there are only Japanese dish left) she said we are so sorry with a very sincere gesture , I chose Japanese food because I like Japanese food anyway , she politely thanks me for my choice and later bring a bag of small mix snack for me and said thank you for being flexible . Later on, when we getting off the airplane she even helped me to stroll my carry on out to the airplane because I was carry too many stuffs with me and my daughter being so tired of the long flight so I have to comforted my daughter . The stewardess saw that and helping me a hand . I wish every airlines has someone like this crew member . Thank you so much for the awesome service on Japan Airlines."

Voordelen: "All fright attendant are so nice and polite, also pretty. The meals are great and they served nice ice cream for dessert, the good quality ones! The bathroom was always clean, they keep it up so well. there was even toothbrushes and paper cup! I really enjoyed it even though I was in economy."

Voordelen: "I feel like I got way more than what I paid for with this airline! The hostesses were super friendly always offering some sort of beverage, the food was tasty (Be careful not to drop noodles on yourself like I did, those bad boys left a little mark). The video selection wasn't huge, but it was definitely adequate with good titles. Maybe I haven't noticed this before in other airlines, but they had new toothbrushes (packaged, not someone's forgotten toothbrush) in the restroom so the poor sap next to me didn't have to smell my stinky breath. Finally, they were quick with boarding! They were very punctual and we took off right when we got on, so nice!"
Nadelen: "The seats were pretty adequately sized, however, I felt like I couldn't lay back too far or if the the person in front of me did, it made it really difficult to get the seats. Also, I thought it was my headphones, but it happened on a couple of flights with different headphones, but the audio only comes out of one earphone which was slightly annoying... Other than those things, JAL is super solid and I would recommend it to anyone considering them."

Voordelen: "Airplane is well kept. Snacks are available near the beverage area."

Voordelen: "The flight attendants are quick in services and with great manner. Cabin foods are generous, filled with variety and tasting the best among various international airlines that I have experienced between LAX and Taipei, Taiwan in the past ten years. The seat belt on light and bell were kept at minimal, in contrast to other airlines like EVA, China Airlines, Korean Airlines and United Airlines."

Voordelen: "It was anything very good, my trips on air are great. all flight attendant did good job.i got good slept well on flight JL 060.so I will choice Japan Airline next time. Thank you very much"

Voordelen: "JAL has customer service that no other airline comes close to."
Nadelen: "Nothing, JAL is perfect. I mean it"

Voordelen: "What sets JAL apart is the quality of service both on the ground and in the air. As customers, even in economy, no request was too minor to be treated as the most important of the day. Both legs were on time, the meals were excellent, and the chouce of movies was more than adequate. I will fly with JAL again."

Nadelen: "Not much leg room"

Voordelen: "Service was amazing and made me feel like I was in first class."
Nadelen: "The food wasn't good and the seats seemed outdated relative to other JAL flights I have taken on this route."

Voordelen: "L'équipage est très avenant et n'hésite pas à parler un anglais compréhensible pour les étrangers. Mes deux vols n'étaient que de 45min mais nous avons eu droit à un accès wifi et une collation (boissons). Ponctuel et pilotage souple."

Voordelen: "Seat was very comfortable and had many games and movies to keep me preoccupied during the flight."
Nadelen: "I didn't like that the crew at check-in and the crew on the plane told me different things. The crew at check-in told me I could keep my purse with me, and the crew on the airline told me I had to put it overhead. Please be consistent! Flying is very stressful for me, and I want the staff to make it as stress-free as possible. As for boarding, I wasn't allowed into the gate until an hour before. What really bothered me was that they had already let some people into the gate and shut some other people out. Either let people in or don't. Don't follow the rules halfway because then they won't mean anything. I was very shocked by this and have never experienced this at any airline before. All I wanted to do was sit down and relax at the gate before boarding. If this ever happened to me again, I would not fly with the same airlines. To think that this was a JAL flight, with such a high reputation of customer service, makes me even more wary of booking a flight with JAL. I didn't appreciate being treated that way, and I will not tolerate it if it happens again."

Nadelen: "on a 12 hour flight they served meals only twice, at the beginning and at the end.. i was really starving in-between for somethign heavier (though u can ask for those biscuits etc).."

Voordelen: "Me & my family already travel from penang malaysia to kuala lumpur air port, reached KLIA to check in, the MAS/JAL counter told me that our ticket been void by agnet kayak/flight network. Nothing can the counter do till i've to call kayak/flight network. One hour conversation from malaysia to canada. What a wast & replace me with air china. Stupid kayak & flight network."

Nadelen: "The crew of ANA was incredible. I think it is my best flying experience to Asia"

Nadelen: "1. inside temperature was so cold -especially at the 3rd route from la to tokyo -. 2. Economy seats are not declined, which means less pereonal space. 3. The worst is in-flight entertainment system, UI is so poorly developed, most contents do not provide english subtitles."

A very nice Japanese breakfast. - smaller plane, bus that picked us up and dropped us off in front of the airport. As we were doing a 12 hour layover, all our check in luggage was taken care of and sent to van"
Nadelen: "At our first checkin from Korea Ana, seems we have to look at a screen for our luggage just to double check that they made it past customs (never had to do that before) - check in was a bit longer compare to yvr their scanner was much smaller so definitely can’t have big carry on"

Voordelen: "Crew on ANA is always the best Also custom check in was amazingly fast, I went to the side custom check in by accident (there are two) It took less than 5 minutes, I didn’t not know I had to fill another card to leave japan but it was super easy as there was a person to guide me + basic info"
Nadelen: "Other than chairs being more comfortable nothing really"

Voordelen: "J'ai réservé et payé mon billet chez Ana : vol exploité par Swiss, dont la qualité est moindre. Impossible de réserver un siège à l'avance. Je ne volerai plus jamais avec Swiss !"

Nadelen: "I am yet to find an airline that has any semblance of comfort in economy class for someone 6’ 2”, and that isn’t even tall! It would seem that the seats should be tall enough not to have the headrest push on my shoulders.....such as making it adjustable enough to be used as a headrest."

Voordelen: "The Japanese food was fantastic - individual Japanese food selections which I wondered if would be good turned out totally amazing - well done!"

Nadelen: "We made our reservations through kayak / justfly.com and paid an additional fee to reserve our preferred seating assignment. During check in, our seat reservations were not granted because justfly.com did convey our preferences."

Seat selected at time of booking was not honored since selection has to be done on United Air's web site. Did not get the meal I ordered for the same reason. Very short time to get from arrival gate to the connecting gate at Haneda."

Nadelen: "During the same trip I discovered 2 different arrangements of the Business Class cabin on Singapore Airlines A350, SQ469 CMB-SIN, and SQ036 SIN-LAX. On the SQ469, I occupied seat 12 A (mono, aisle-window): A lot of plastic curved walls etc. For larger persons, the result is not quit comfortable."

Voordelen: "Crews were great. Seats space could be better ... overall caring & attentiveness of crew members make a lot of difference."
Nadelen: "Food! 40 years ago Singapore Airlines was second to none in my book! Now I feel like I was away somewhere and Singapore Airlines has changed dramatically....Must be a lot of moving pieces have changed that I was wondering again during my journey whether I was really flying Singapore Airlines..."

Voordelen: "La possibilité d’avoir pu payer un supplément laisse à notre convenance pour avoir un surclassement"
Nadelen: "Le prix du billet a été débité 2 fois à l’aller ( remboursé ensuite quand je l’ai signalé) . Le prix du supplément de surclassement a fait que le retour a été débité de notre compte 2 fois aussi. Il faut qu’on le signale encore."

Nadelen: "The rebalance was worst I've ever encountered I was actually scared I prayed many times 4 yo get home safely I was not impressed with my last flight n also why were We delayed coming from manila we turn back many times n I had only 50 mins to catch my flight to Perth if we had landed wen we should hv I'd hv time to buy some gifts I'm.glad that Philippines airlines will fly direct yo manila from Perth come March n I'll use them from now on as it's a few times in the years gone that things has happened to me I forgave ur airline but now i not need to as hv other airline to fly n my darling come here 3 or 4 times each year but will use Philippines airlines URS sincerely Trevor frahm"

Nadelen: "Singapore Airlines is so wildly overrated. The service is frequently poor, and the cabin environment dirty and old unless flying on their very latest planes. Even their A380s are now stale and musty. Not nice."

Nadelen: "Our flight to Bali was cancelled due to the volcano eruption. We did not receive any compensation, but Singapore/Silk Airlines told us they were able to get us a flight home to LAX instead, but that it wouldn't be until the next day. We spent money on a hotel and food and waited until the next morning, got to the airport early for check in only to find that Singapore/Silk had in fact, given up our seats that they had promised us. They said that we now would have to wait another day just to get a flight from Singapore to LAX. We asked to speak with a manager, and eventually were able to get two seats due to cancellations. This was intended to be a very special and romantic trip that was essentially ruined. Since no one could have anticipated that the volcano would cause cancellation, we should be refunded for our flights. We are so crushed that we did not get to go to Bali, and now we may NEVER get to go because we are out of money. At the VERY least, the leg of our flights from Singapore to Bali, and Bali to Singapore, should be refunded. We are extremely disappointed."

Voordelen: "Delayed flight from Shanghai due to air traffic issues, so I had a 10 minute window to make my connection in Singapore. Ground staff was waiting for me with a small car after I disembarked to drive me to the gate. And I somehow made my connection. Excellent service. Obviously my checked bag didn't make it, but I was told in advance and was kept updated before boarding and immediate after I disembarked at my final destination. When I went to the baggage service counter, they were already ready for me, had filled out my paperwork, and just needed an address to confirm the delivery of my suitcase. I'm super impressed to this attention to detail."

I bought from you air tickets with Scoot airlines from H.K to Singapore on 30 December and back to H.K on the 3 January. when I came to the H.K airport to check in with scoot airlines they said to me that I can't go to Singapore because my passport expired on 2 of June and it's less than 6 months if I want to go to Singapore I need to have in my passport more than 6months. sow in the end I lost the ticket to Singapore and not only this I went back to H.K I toke a room in the hotel 150$ and the day after I went to the embassy of Israel to extend my passport and I bought a new air tickets with Cathay Pacific 350$ to go to Singapore. its mean that I lost my ticket +500$ .and all this because you never informed me that my passport needs to be valid more than 6 months . you can see also in your letter its written there that my passport need to be valid there is not any thing about 6 months. if you was telling me that before I could change my passport. sow pleas I insist that you will pay me back half on my ticket that I lost + my expenses 500$. if I will not get it back my story will be all over in the internet about you I suffered a lot"

I imagine there were not enough business and first class customers to run the flight profitably. Well if that's true, that is terrible customer service. The airport crew had no information as to the reason for the cancellation, giving the appearance that my hypothesis is true."

Nadelen: "Where to begin....The flight was delayed an hr leaving Hong Kong. Then we were rerouted without notice to Newark International. Upon landing and changing our plans, we were told we were actually proceeding to our original destination in JFK. However, we have to wait for a new crew and we're stuck on the tarmac, on the plane for additional couple hrs. The experience was very aggravating, especially after such a long flight. Additionally, I find Cathays lack of transperancy with their customers very unprofessional. Sad as this is my preferred airline to flight but will take this into account for future bookings."

Nadelen: "We traveled the entire Hong Kong airport until they settled on a departure gate. Needless to say our flight was 2 hours delayed."

Voordelen: "Very good service from the flight attendants. They are very polite and friendly."

The in-flight entertainment screen had a bunch of new films and series to choose from, that's a big plus. The dinner and breakfast were not that special, but very good considering it was served at 36 000 feet."
Nadelen: "I flew in Economy, and the legroom was awful for me. (I'm around 190cm tall.) The seats were crammed so tight I had trouble staying comfortable even when awake, and I didn't sleep too good."

Nadelen: "The crew needs a bit of retraining. It's almost like we are unwanted guests on there aircraft rather then the customer."

Nadelen: "Pilots apparently forgot the seatbelt sign pretty much the entire flight. Flight attendants were trying to get people to stay seated until it became clear the light was never going off. Literally 1/2 the flight people were just wandering around and the attendants gave up. Seriously guys, on a 10+ hour flight, that's not cool."
